The Solar Co.

From start to finish we cannot fault the service provided by George & his team. On his site visit he was clearly very knowledgeable & gave sound advice. The installation was very impressive, with every member of the team being very polite & working diligently & efficiently. The installation is very neat & the team were very tidy. Would not hesitate to recommend this company.

The Solar Co was recommended to me by a previous happy customer, and I can see why. They were the only company to offer an initial on-site consultation, taking the time to assess my property, roof, surrounding buildings, and large trees. They also carried out a detailed survey using a drone, which gave me confidence that everything was being thoroughly evaluated. I received a clear recommendation and quotation within 24 hours, and every question or query I had was answered promptly. A final survey was also completed before installation, ensuring everything was ready. The installation of my 21-panel solar system was seamless, completed quickly, and carried out to a very high professional standard. Every member of the team was polite, courteous, and respectful of my property, leaving everything clean and tidy when the job was finished. Before leaving we were given and overview and confirmed we were happy with the work. A special thank you to George and Mark for their excellent service throughout the process. I would highly recommend The Solar Co to anyone considering solar panels.

First class. From start to finish George & Mark were brilliant. Then the install team came and completed the job with skill and speed. Blown away by how good this experience has been. If you need solar dont hesitate. Go local because this team is the business. Easily the most straightforward home improvement we’ve done…..and we’ve done everything you can think of. Thanks guys, i’ll be telling everyone to use you 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

I had a very disappointing experience with The Solar Co. After the work was completed at my property, I noticed that some of my belongings were missing. I raised my concerns and believe customers should be cautious and ensure their property is protected when allowing any contractors into their homes.

Mark and George were great. Site survey done and in a couple of weeks - the team came out and installed Solar Panels & Battery in a day, Highly Recommend.

George and his team were excellent from start to finish. I didn't realize installing solar would be this easy, at least that's the way they made it look!

We couldn’t be happier with our solar PV, battery, and inverter installation and the service we received from start to finish. The team was informative and approachable throughout, taking the time to answer our questions and explain the options clearly before we committed, which made the whole process feel straightforward and reassuring. Installation was smooth, efficient, and completed to a high standard with very little disruption. The system is working brilliantly, and we would gladly recommend this company to anyone looking to invest in solar.

Had a brilliant experience with Solar Co. All done within a day, except for one panel that had been left off their delivery, which they came back and did early the next day. Always friendly and professional. They really know what they're doing.

Excellent service from start to finish. George, Mark and the team were professional, knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole process. The installation of our solar panels, inverter and battery system was carried out efficiently and to a high standard, with clear communication at every stage. They were responsive to questions, explained everything properly, and made the handover straightforward with all the relevant documentation, certificates and commissioning information provided. I am very pleased with the system and the overall service. I would happily recommend The Solar & Renewables Co to anyone considering solar panels or battery storage.

We were really impressed by the team who showed professionalism, friendliness and respect during an efficient installation.

Top quality people, installation and equipment - highly recommended. Ours is an installation on a flat roof at the rear of a loft conversion, in a conversation area in Ken & Chelsea. This means there are restrictions on what can be done, but Mark and Geoege were very familiar with the rules and confident in recommending what was allowed. They made good suggestions and dealt well with my (many) questions patiently and swiftly, before we settled on an optimum plan. This even made use of some scaffolding that was on the next building, making the whole installation as cost-effective as possible. We went from enquiry to plan to installation in 4 weeks Installation was also very efficient. The team was onsite at 0730 and had finished the whole job - panels, inverter, battery, Uninterruptable Power Supply and car charger - by 1500hrs, when the system started working. They worked hard, were unfailingly polite, took off shoes indoors, and tidied up well. They promise ongoing support and help with tarrifs, etc so I am looking forward to many years of good service. Thanks!

I’ve had an impeccable experience from start to finish. From the very first enquiry, the team responded quickly and professionally. George took the time to properly understand my motivations for installing solar, ensuring the system was tailored to what mattered most to me rather than offering a one-size-fits-all solution. His communication style was also perfectly pitched to my level of knowledge, which made the whole process feel clear and collaborative. The initial site visit was excellent and immediately built trust and confidence in the delivery. The projections provided were transparent and helpful, clearly outlining expected benefits, as well as recommended tariffs and overall strategy. Mark’s pre-installation survey was equally thorough, capturing all the detail needed to ensure a smooth installation and reinforcing confidence in the team. Installation day itself was seamless. The team were respectful, worked around parking restrictions without issue, and left everything clean and tidy. The system looks great, and the extra touch of cleaning the roof lights while they were up there didn’t go unnoticed. Post-installation, George shared a comprehensive Google Drive folder containing photos, product manuals, and all certification, which was incredibly helpful. Since installation, generation has been strong, setting up the export tariff was straightforward, and I’m already seeing the financial benefits. I couldn’t be happier with the outcome and would absolutely recommend them to anyone considering solar.

The Solar Co came up with the most appealing quote, seemed very professional, carried out the work to a high standard and when there were some issues 9 months later they came out and fixed them for free. I got 5 quotes for solar panels for our roof. Many other companies come up with a quote without coming to your home, they just use satellite images but I found out the hard way that this method is not accurate. Other companies didn't take what I wanted onboard or were very expensive. George came out to the house with his drone and camera and measured all the dimensions. I told him that I wanted lots of solar panels and he managed to fit 21 panels on the roof. The quote was a reasonable price and he took my considerations on board. The install was pretty quick and was done well with minimal disruption. They gave a good tutorial on how it all works and had suggestions for tariffs. They provided very good aftercare. Around 9 months after install the bird mesh came loose. At first George and Mark found it hard to believe that it could have happened without something tearing the mesh off but they came out to the house and agreed to fix it which they have now done. It seems as though they don't expect this type of thing to happen to them because they have high standards. I don't expect a 0% chance of things going wrong, what's more important is how the company reacts when things do go wrong and in this respect I think the Solar Co were very good. So I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to install solar. I'm very happy with the outcome.

We contracted The Solar Co. to install a new roof incorporating integrated solar panels and a solar battery. We were extremely impressed with George and Mark’s professionalism and work ethic throughout the project. They kept us regularly updated on progress, answered all our questions promptly, and always made time to discuss options and next steps. We were so pleased with the quality of their work that we subsequently engaged them for several additional projects that had been long overdue — including replacing guttering, soil stacks, and a flat roof, as well as installing a new boiler, upgrading the underfloor heating, and carrying out some internal improvements. We would not hesitate to recommend George and Mark, and have received additional compliments from our neighbours on the excellent standard of their work.

We requested Solar panels and storage to be installed having been recommended The Solar Co. The pre install and discussions about how many panels, size, location and battery capacity was easy, friendly and very straight forward. The day of install was staggeringly fast, starting at 8 am and completing at 4pm. As soon as the power was connected we started generating electricity despite it not being sunny. An excellent service both pre and post. One thing to note is that the setting up of the link between inverter and router was done discretely and very quickly at the time of the install. But if for any reason you change or update your router, the procedure to link the App to the system is quite complex, somewhat baffling and requires patience and a steady hand. Especially if you're doing it remotely. Happily for us, George took us through the steps one by one so we managed to reconnect everything as before.

“I had a fantastic experience with The Solar Company. From the very first visit, they explained everything clearly and concisely, making it easy to understand how the solar panels would help me reduce my bills. and even how I might end up with a surplus of electricity over time. Overall, I’d definitely recommend The Solar Company for their professionalism and the clarity of their service.” and even potentially generate a surplus of electricity in the long run to sell back to the Grid. Thank You

Excellent service from Solar & Co. Dan installed my electric car charger and did a fantastic job. Very professional, prompt, and reliable throughout the whole process. The work was completed to a high standard. highly recommended!

We had solar panels and a battery installed at our home and couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. From the very first conversation through to installation and aftercare, Mark, Gerorge and the team were professional, knowledgeable and genuinely helpful. The installation itself was smooth, tidy and completed on schedule. The team clearly took pride in their work and explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, which gave us real confidence in the system. Since installation, the system has been performing brilliantly and the battery has already made a noticeable difference to our energy usage. Any questions we’ve had have been answered quickly and clearly and customer service has been excellent throughout. If you’re considering solar, I honestly couldn’t recommend this company highly enough. A top-quality install, great communication and a team that really knows their stuff.

We found the Solar Company to be very response and answered all queries promptly. They were clear and concise in what they were going to do and delivered what they said they were going to do, when they said they were going to it. The installation was superb and they used scaffolding that provided safe access to the roof to install the panels. They were clean and tidy and the installation was straightforward taking care of our house. A local company that were brilliant, efficient and knowledgeable.

Brilliant install, so pleased with the speed and convenience of the process. I couldn’t believe how quickly the team installed the panels.

Great Install - 25 Aiko 465W, SunSynk 8.8kW, 32kWh Fogstar Batteries George, Mark and the team did a great job getting our solar install in - despite the fact that our house kept throwing up challenges. The experience began well - no unnecessary upselling, a conversation about what our requirements were and a discussion that allowed us to get a system specified that met our needs with a bit of headroom and that was affordable. As the job went on and the aforementioned obstacles were thrown up, the team got things sorted quickly and always had a plan to adapt. The roofers that they worked with were top notch and did a fantastic renovation of our flat rooves to take the panels. All in all a great installation. I have to specifically call out the quality of advice and guidance throughout - things were recommended that were far from the easy option for them, but they were the right option.

George was very responsive. Came to see us promptly and provided a very competitive quotation. The work was carried in a timely fashion. All of the installation team were professional, courteous, skilled and friendly. We would highly recommend The Solar Co.

We contacted The Solar Co after our inverter stopped working and George was super responsive and helpful. He came round to check out our current installation and gave us a couple of quotes (one to fix the problem and the other to install a battery). We ended up going for the latter and within a month we were back up and running better than before. Dan, Matt and the installation team did a fantastic job and worked so efficiently. They explained the new system to us really well and the team have been so responsive with questions we have had afterwards as well. We have been really happy with the experience and would definitely recommend them to everyone! Thank you guys so much!

George and Mark did a great job specifying and installing a solar and battery system. They were very careful to make sure cable runs were done as neatly as possible to ensure an excellent finish. I’m very pleased with the result.

George and Mark were very helpful, explained things very well and took trouble to make sure we understood how things were going. They were prompt in answering our queries. The installation process was prolonged as we needed a flat roof replaced but all the workmen were efficient, helpful and friendly. They were recommended by a neighbour and I'm delighted with the outcome.

Excellent service from start to finish for install of our solar panels and battery. Brilliant communication, all team members very professional, and very pleased with the end result. Thank you!

Our new solar system (21 panels, 10 kWh battery, and Zappi) was up and running yesterday afternoon — and it was so cool seeing the panels making “lecky” (electricity)! George, Mark, and their team were superb. As others have said, the process starts with George visiting in person, armed with his fancy drone that measures and maps your roof. He discovered we could fit 21 panels up there — this after another company told us our roof wasn’t even suitable for panels (haha). Like another reviewer mentioned, our consumer unit is awkwardly located in the middle of the house under the stairs, but George came up with a smart, workable solution. He also set up the Zappi so it can never drain the battery — an issue you’ll see discussed online, especially if you’re on Octopus Intelligent Go. The roofers arrived promptly at 7:30 a.m. on installation day, with the electricians not far behind. Mark and George were also on site, making sure everything ran like clockwork. From start to finish, it was a completely stress-free experience — such a nice group of people, all of them. They clearly take pride in their work, and their professionalism is impeccable. If you can, go local. That’s what we did — and it means the same people you read about in the reviews are the ones who turn up and do the job. We haven’t got an EV yet, but when we do (soon!), I won’t hesitate to call George and Mark again.

Knowledgable, very professional, bespoke and personalised service George and Mark were very knowledgeable and provided good guidance and advice. We had a flat roof over multiple levels. The installation survey was thorough and this gave assurance to us. They used top notch panels and other components. They were always available to answer questions, and the installers got the job done in a day. The installation was smooth and they tidied up well. A few last minute changes happened, but they handled those well. The communication was great, and they ensured everything ran smoothly in the end.

We have our system installed over a year ago. The installation was prompt and smooth. The Inverter broke down after a year but was replaced by Solar Co in no time without me filling any form nor paper work. George and his team were also helpful. The after sale service is fantastic. I can’t fault this company.

Really impressed - the service was bespoke and friendly, rather than one size fits all. The solar installation was promptly arranged and, on the day itself, quick and efficient. And after installation, the odd question we've had has been answered quickly, even out of hours.

Superb team. Reliable, thorough, speedy, and charming. They sent up a drone to check the layout and provided a fully detailed spec and responded to queries quickly and thoroughly. Cannot fault them.

A brilliant job from start to finish – highly recommended! We recently had 15 solar panels installed across our flat roofs, along with an inverter and battery in the loft and an EV charger at the front of the house – all handled by The Solar Co. The whole experience was exceptional. From the start, Mark and George were brilliant – knowledgeable, friendly, and clearly passionate about doing things properly. They were on hand before and during the install, checking everything was going smoothly and that we understood the system. The install itself was slick. Their team of roofers and electricians were a pleasure to have around – polite, professional, and impressively efficient, wrapping everything up by 2pm on the day. What really stood out was their willingness to go the extra mile. Unlike other companies (including Octopus Energy) who wouldn’t touch our flat roofs, The Solar Co had no issue installing panels there, maximising the energy we're able to generate. Where others said we could only fit 7, they delivered 15 – plus managed to install the battery and inverter neatly in the loft, where others refused. A big bonus: our fuse board is under the stairs in the middle of the house. Most companies said they’d need to drill unsightly holes through walls. The Solar Co? They ran all the necessary cabling under the floor – no mess, no fuss. Post-installation, they’ve continued to be incredibly helpful. Mark and George kept in touch, sorted out the paperwork so we can start exporting to the grid, and even returned to adjust a panel (which had a minor shading issue) completely free of charge. That level of aftercare is rare. My neighbour was so impressed by the work, they’ve already booked The Solar Co to fix a sub-par install done by another provider. It’s been refreshing to work with such a trustworthy, capable, and friendly company. Highly recommended if you’re considering solar.

I recently had a 16.1kWh Fogstar battery installed to complement my existing Sunsynk 5.5kWh inverter, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the work carried out by The Solar Co. From the outset, the entire process was smooth and professional. A special thank you to George Penny for handling the sales process with clarity and efficiency. Everything was well explained, communication was prompt, and there was never any pressure—just honest, straightforward guidance that helped me make an informed decision. All questions were answered quickly and clearly, the latter being particularly useful as we are solar novices (so had some very basic questions to address). On installation day, Jake and Mark did a superb job. They carried out the integration of the new battery system and enabled the UPS emergency power supply with a proper earthing rod, all done neatly and competently. Although they did not finish on the day, they came back again the following week to complete the job, showing great commitment to seeing the work through properly. During the process, they also uncovered a serious fault left by previous installers—some live cables had not been connected correctly, and the joining connector block had shown signs of melting. Though this wasn’t part of their brief, Jake and Mark very kindly and promptly rectified the issue by replacing the faulty connector blocks and making everything safe again. That level of care and responsibility truly stood out. Following payment, full documentation and an updated system diagram were provided, which was very helpful for our records and ongoing understanding of the system. The system is now performing excellently, and the new Fogstar batteries are running brilliantly. I’m very impressed with the quality of service and workmanship from The Solar Co., and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

George and Mark have been amazing to work with. From the first meeting with George, it was evident that he's passionate about what he does and fully understands the intricacies of the pre-install calculations to enable him to advise on the best set up required for our personal needs. He and Mark have an excellent team, who are polite, hard working and very professional. They kept to time and are very reliable. One of the most reassuring things was that they have extremely high standards of install, and a highly qualified and expert electrician, to ensure the correct fitment and cabling. They use excellent roofers (which was one of our worries) but we have had an excellent job done, not only relating to the solar install, but also making appropriate repairs to our roof and guttering, which needed attention - I was very happy with the quality of their work, and convinced that they did not over charge, or do unnecessary work. Since the install, George has ensured that all the paperwork was completed with the network company and supplier and that the system was working perfectly. In addition, after a visit from Octopus, a misplacement of sensors resulted in a problem, which George very kindly arranged for his own electrician to come out and sort, rather than me trying to chase Octopus for a re-visit. For years I had hesitated about getting solar, purely because of concerns as to who to get it done by. I can wholeheartedly recommend George, Mark and his team at the Solar Co, and can also confirm that communication continues even after the job, whenever I have any questions. Thank you Jason, for putting me in touch with them.

Great communications from the start to the finish. Easy company to do business with. They did exactly what they said they would and exactly when they said they would do it. Not often you can say these days. Really nice team and although it's early days the product seems to be working great too.

We were recommended The Solar Co. by nearby friends who'd used them for their solar panels, and we're so glad they did. We used The Solar Co. to reinstate our entire roof (ready for solar panels) and remove an unused chimney stack, and to then install 21 panels feeding through to a Sunsynk inverter and 16kWh Fogstar battery. We're thrilled with the results. Great communication from the start and an end product that exactly matched what was described in the quote. Pragmatic solutions were proposed and agreed upon for the few inevitable issues that arose - we felt engaged and consulted with throughout. The attention to detail and pride in their work was evident at every step, and they kept in regular contact (in person, by text and by email as needed) to keep our minds at rest. All questions were answered quickly and clearly, the latter being particularly useful as we are solar novices (so had some very basic questions to address). All in all, if you're looking for a solar installation then The Solar Co. will do you proud. Thanks gents!

Brilliant company, panels, batteries and all wiring was done within a day. George an his colleagues were very informative about what the the system could achieve and which energy plans-companies I should be going with

The Solar Co installed our solar panels and battery system a couple of years ago and it has been performing very well. At the end of last week we had what turned out to be a minor problem with a component. Our message to the company got a very fast response and they soon had us back up and running. Really good customer service from a friendly and helpful team.

George, Mark and the team at The Solar Co are a great example of how any sort of building work company should run. We had read all these glowing Trust Pilot reviews and thought they might be too good to be true but in fact, I found them very flexible, communicative, collaborative & professional with clear and fair pricing and guys who took pride in their work. At the start, George helped explain what my options were with regards the solar panels, batteries and consumer unit we were looking for and gave clear information about what our potential savings were and how the pricing was created. Throughout the install, they worked well with the company building our loft extension often scheduling around them, keeping in contact to know when they could come in and do the various stages of installation and always turned up when they said they would. Now post-install, George has been in contact to follow up and answer any questions I have with regards best tariffs or exporting energy and keeps an eye on how our install's doing. Thanks for making a complicated and potentially daunting experience as smooth and easy as it could possibly be!

I relocated to Gloucestershire from SW London in 2024 & carried out an extensive extension & renovation of a 140 year old period cottage. There is no mains gas here and the existing property had oil fired heating. I wanted to run the property on electric only and to do so as cheaply as possible in order to insulate ourselves from possible electricity price increases. I knew it would involve batteries so I also wanted an uninterrupted power supply (UPS) in the event of a power cut. To my surprise I couldn’t find many solar companies out there that would offer this element. Mark & George at The Solar & Renewables Company had no issues at all with the UPS. They also advised I use the really smart GSE in roof system which looks amazing and also saved me a lot of money on slates! Their quote was extremely competitive & the work was all carried out in a single day at the exact time I needed it in the build schedule. Now we are living here and have had some decent weather I can see how George’s calculations were in no way optimistic! Our electric bill is tiny compared to our last house and even better it’s the only bill!! We also had a Mitsubishi Ecodan heat pump & hot water system installed by them taking advantage of the £7,500 grant available. The system is working really well, the house was like toast during the very cold weather we had this winter I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Solar and Renewables Company

Mr roof has a mix of pitch and flat sections. I spoke to several of the "big" solar panel companies who either refused to quote for the flat parts or did not quote at all. I found George online who was local to me and his company provided flat roof solutions. He visited soon after using a drone to survey the roof. He provided me with a really cost effective solution utilising all the roof space. He installed 19 panels and battery and provided me with a detailed breakdown for the return on investment. He was very knowledgeable in person and responded very quickly to further questions I had via WhatsApp. Installation was quick and the set up was fully explained on the day. He provided a very professional service at a great price.

After going to some big well known firms who wouldn’t help me because we had a flat roof, I wanted to find a local firm who cared so came across the solar co on the MCS site. I didn’t know much about this stuff so wanted to make sure whoever I used was fully certified. Mark and George are a fantastic team. They never do the hard sell, rather help to educate you so you can make a fully informed decision about the choice you make. We now have our plant room for the inverter, batteries and cylinder. We have an air source heat pump and brilliant solar panels. The team are hard working, precise neat and tidy, and deliver what they say they are going to deliver. Their banter isn’t bad either! Thanks team Solar Co for a brilliant job and for all your help!

Thank-you to all the team at Solar co for providing us with our new solar system just before Christmas. What a fantastic Christmas present! The whole experience was seamless from start to finish and we were so impressed with all the advice we received including the great digital tool to play around with equipment parameters and also how quickly George slotted in for our install. An initial chat with George was very informative. We appreciated the visit from Mark who was very thorough with his survey, sending a drone up to take pictures of our flat roof and answering our questions. The scaffolding was organised and came up and down when promised. Panels were installed on our flat roof three storeys up on our loft conversion and sloped roof at the front, along with inverter and battery on the side wall. Particular thanks to Dan on the electrics who on install day spotted and fixed a problem on our fuseboards where the smart meter had been incorrectly and unsafely installed. We are excited for the Spring and Summer ahead to see what the plant can do at its maximum potential.

I found The Solar Co through the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) website. They were dedicated to recommending and installing the right solar system for our circumstances. They clearly communicated the options with no hard sell. They answered all of my questions promptly. The install itself was relatively straightforward. They also helped me navigate an awkward neighbour and access to their land (we wanted to install a cable on a side wall). I'm grateful for that. The install was quick, very neat and tidy. Also very professional.

Further details below but the summary is that they were very responsive and communicative throughout and we’re very happy with both the process and the end result. The price was equivalent to the Octopus quote but with much better service. Essentially we were holding back on getting it done because it’s difficult to know who might be cowboys in this fast-growing market, but we’re very happy we chose this small, owner-managed business to support. Further details: - We heard of the Solar Co because a neighbour got solar panels done by them and was happy with them - I had A LOT of questions and reservations about the process but George (the company is run by George and Mark) was more than happy to answer all of them - clearly and usefully! - via WhatsApp and over the phone - They’ve provided us with app access so we can get on with buying electricity from and selling electricity to the grid - the returns on this are much better than you might have been led to believe so the payback time for solar panels is much quicker than I thought. The key is a flux tariff - George can provide more details - We also spoke to Octopus but it seems that they weren’t interested in our business because they just didn’t call back once they knew the spec (high roof, and slightly awkward panel position over a pipe vent) - apparently it’s quite common for them to not be interested in even slightly complicated installs - They also cleared our gutters and removed some annoying, useless cables from the side of the house that have been bothering since we moved in! Just a nice touch - We also coordinated it with George so that the scaffolding is being left up for a few more days so we can get windows done at the same time - this has been useful to us! He dealt with all the scaffolding - When the day for the install came, the 15 panels were delivered in the morning and the install and handover were complete by 2:30pm!! - Mark and George are both useful guys to have around and their team has done a very tidy job. Would recommend!

I chose The Solar Co because they are an independent local company, which as a company owner myself is crucial. They were recommended along with other companies, but their approach was second to none. My installation was slightly tricky due to the location of the panels on a remote building but this wasn't a problem for them at all. The installation was carried out on time, just 3 weeks from order to install and commissioning. George and Mark, along with their electrician Dan, had a professional approach throughout, were neat and tidy and they have provided excellent communication and support in the first couple of weeks as I get to grips with our system. While I try not to contact 24/7 their response time to emails is prompt and helpful. So, if you're thinking about solar, I'd also like to add that the return looks pretty decent. We have a lot of shade during the 2nd third of the day so although my roof is oriented South, they advised that we should go for an East-West back to back installation. It's October but we're producing almost all the electricity we require. I'm really happy and wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Solar Co

I wanted Solar panels with a battery installed, however, who do I go to? Octopus and Heatable have their online quotes but their quotes don't include bird protection or any of the miscellaneous stuff. I reached out to George at Solar Co. and he offered to drive over, he sent up his drone to look at the roof and later that day he sent over his quote with the elements he would install. After I called him several times to check on this and that, we agreed a price. On installation day all elements of the Solar Co Team were polite professional and helpful. Nothing was a challenge for them. George called in throughout the day to ensure the project ran on time without any hitches. The day after the installation, George emailed me my certificates and licences for selling to the grid. I am very pleased I went with a local business and went with Solar Co (George & Mark) I would happily recommend Solar Co to anyone.

If you want a solar and/or battery system, look no further. I could not be more impressed with this team. Impeccable customer service - before, during and after the install. After we'd agreed the install they chased me more than I chased them! They are really knowledgeable and efficient, I cannot fault them on anything. They exceeded all expectations, and the price was super competitive too. As well as providing an amazing service, I feel like I learnt a lot from the team too. If you're like me and you've been thinking about taking the plunge for a while - this is your sign to do it!

Normally when you plan something you get to pick 2 from on time, on budget, on spec. However with SolarCo they proved to be the exception and you get all three. I am beyond impressed, every interation I've had with them from initial meeting and survey with drone to get an accurate plan of the roof, through quote and detailed explanation of it and options available to the actual install has surpassed my wildest expectations based on previous interactions with other tradesmen. The team that turned up to do the install reflected the interations I had with the company up to this point, they were professional, quick and tidy and more impressively, proud of the work they did producing an install that you would expect to see as a show install. As you go through life there are company contacts that you pickup that you would use again or reccomend to family and friends... this is such a company.

Looking for a solar installer can be a bit of a minefield, and despite The Solar Co not being exactly local to Surrey, they had great reviews, good accreditation with the professional bodies (MCS and HIES), and most importantly were immediately responsive and keen to quote. George did a detailed survey on site (using a drone to get a good aspect on the roof) and modelled an installation to make the best of a complex roof surface which Octopus' own installers wouldn't consider. The proposal was extremely professionally presented with multiple options, in line with the MCS's best principles, and it was competitively priced against other installers whose proposals were entirely assessed remotely, based on a combination of Google and my own photography - no substitute for The Solar Co's in person approach. The timescale from survey to installation was impressively short, and all went to plan. The installation team overseen by Mark arrived on time, and were unfailingly friendly and efficient. The whole job was done in a day (14 panels, inverter and a large 15.5kWh battery) and the cabling is a work of art - I can see why other reviews highlight the neatness, and I'm very proud to show the setup off to visitors! Since the installation, Mark and George have both helped with questions and configuration of the inverter, and have delivered all the relevant documentation including certification and DNO notification and G99 application, enabling me to apply for an export tariff. Overall a very positive experience with full service, and I would encourage anyone a for a reliable and efficient solar installer in the London area (and beyond) to get in touch with Mark and George.

The Solar Co (Mark & George), were recommended to us by a friend who'd had a great experience with them. Within 48 hours of contacting them, they were at our property giving us a thorough site survey, and then within a few days more a full quote. They understood the slight complexity of our set up and quickly came up with solutions to overcome any issues. They kept us informed every step of the way. The team that came to install the panels were on time, efficient and friendly. And a big shout out to Dan the electrician who went above and beyond to ensure the wiring, electrics and fuse board the best and safest it could be.

George and his team did a really excellent, precise and comprehensive job for us of fitting solar panels and an EV charger. Competitive rates and especially great communication. Highly recommend.

Found George and his team through personal recommendation. Price was competitive. Process from start to finish was straightforward. Very knowledgeable and professional. Impressed with attention to detail. Very happy with outcome and system performing well and panel look great

Solar co installed our system last year. 17 panels, 2 batteries and a zappi car charger. Their prices seemed reasonable and in line with competitors. The installers arrived at the stated time and worked hard to ensure the entire installation was done in one day. The guys were polite , tidy and hard working. The system needed an update on the software and this was done the following day. The system has been working well with the battery back up allowing us to store excess for the following night. We would highly recommend SolarCo as a professional and reliable company with good and prompt customer service if you have any questions or problems.

What a great find. George and his team are absolutely fantastic. They are really professional, from start to install. Their price was also the best.. Can't be beaten on every aspect. So so plesed.... Can't recommend higher.

The Solar Co installed panels and batteries for my house. My electricity bill has gone from £442 last April 2023 (I know) to under £40 in April 2024. I reached out to them as they were (1) local to where I reside (2) reviews were overwhelmingly positive. I’m pleased to say my experience matched this. After an initial consultation call, George modelled out what size system would be needed based on my actual usage, the ROI based on different battery set ups and how long it would take to break even. It depends on a lot of variables, but for me, it’s around five years. Installation was done around six weeks later. Took a few days, and we opted for the panels to be integrated. Despite the cost, very happy with the decision as they look awesome. They advised on the tariff to maximise our return based on having two EVs. We actually got air con installed alongside it, by their sister company. Also very positive and now we are ready for some decent weather. George and Mark were decent chaps and would recommend using them.

We've been considering installing solar for a while and final decided to get some quotes. We selected the Solar Co as one of four firms to get a quote from. The quote was very competitively priced, but also for a larger system than the other quotes. Really can't recommend George and the team enough. They have been both quick and responsive to the many questions I have raised. The install itself was done very quickly and to a very high standard with the finish being really neat and tidy. I was especially impressed that George was on site to monitor progress, both with the install itself, but also the erection of the scaffolding. They have also been super quick with processing the paper work to allow us to get on to an export tariff to make the most out of our new system. Thoroughly recommended local company!

George was very helpful with quote. It was done in a day including panels, battery and EV charger without any problems, he is available for ongoing advise and recently dropped in to sort out the app. Overall very happy with the service.

I wouldn’t normally bother to write a review for anything. But in this case when your paying out so much money for a solar installation, it might really help someone to select a team that actually do know what they are doing. I’ve been in electronics and computing for over 40 years, and I knew exactly what I wanted and how I wanted it fitted, the reason I wanted someone else to fit it, was I wanted to save all that VAT. It took me over 10 months to find some able to put in what I wanted and feel confident that they really understood the kit that they were fitting, a lot of the people you find out there are just fitting the kit by following a set procedure and really don’t understanding why certain things need doing , and if it goes wrong it can easily end up being bodged, and you won’t know if its been bodged, you may just end up with an under performing system with faults all the time, but at worst case it could be dangerous, incorrectly fitted panels can be a major fire hazard it will cost you a lot more to get it fixed than to have it done properly. I really do recommend that you get these guys in to help you decide if it’s the right thing for you, they are not going to tell you to fit anything unless it would be worth you spending the money. After sitting down with them you will soon tell that they are the right people for the job, I can’t stress it enough, ‘they know what they are doing!’ it’s a big investment so invest in the right people for the job

Great service from Mark and his team, from quote through to installation of the panels and batteries, would highly recommend these guys. They really know their stuff and gave us a great deal. I wasn't sure whether converting to solar would be the right move for us, but the calculations convinced me and so far so good. After 3 months, already seeing the cost savings predicted.

George and Mark from the Solar. Co. were great through the whole solar panel/battery/inverter installation process. George answered my queries quickly and thoroughly. Agreed time scales were kept to. We received an upgraded specification, which was great. Post installation, George has continued to be really helpful as we make the switch to an export/import tariff. Even during a dreary and wet Novmeber, electricity usage from the grid is down considerably. It has been really good to use a local company and would thoroughly recommend the Solar Co.

The Solar Co were recommended by friends. We had and existing solar system which was malfunctioning. Initially spoke to George over the phone and had a very informative conversation followed later the same day by a site survey with Mark. We then received a report and quote for the work which was extremely competitive. Both of them were so knowledgeable about products, tariffs and environmental impacts. I had a lot of questions and they were answered fully and very patiently. The following week we the work was completed by Mark and their electrician. They both worked so hard in foul weather and left everything clean and tidy. They were a pleasure to have around. The aftercare is also outstanding. I would wholeheartedly recommend you use this company for any solar panel work.

SolarCo delivered a great service and product which already produces a good return! The service provided exceeded my expectations. Thank you.

George and his team were extremely professional and had an approach to their craft that was unique to other companies I’ve dealt, can’t thank them enough.

An excellent job by George and the team, from start to finish. Happy to discuss all the details of the install in advance and agreed a competitive price. Despite quite a large install (20 panels and two batteries), all went as planned and all the team were punctual and worked to a high standard. The system has now been generating for just over two months and we are very happy with the results. After the install, the team have also been very quick to respond to any queries. Highly recommended.

Fantastic service, great price. These guys know what they are doing. From start to finish they communicated every step. Highly recommend.

The personal service they gave was great, working with me to find the right setup and balance of panels to batteries. The install was smooth and took less than a day, they look great on the roof! Since the install they have been quick to answer any questions and configuration I needed. I have recommended them to friends!

George and the team stepped in when I had been let down mid- installation by the Solar Together scheme. They were thorough in examining the work that had been done and remediation on the inverter and wiring to make it safe and installing a battery. They gave helpful advice and were solutions driven, plus incredibly efficient and able to fit me in quickly whilst they were very busy. Quality control on the work done is also excellent.

George and Mark from The Solar Company attended on same day to carry out a survey and advise on replacing my Inverter which was not working. They were very professional and efficient and provided me quotes on three options. I chose to replace the broken down Inverter with a Sunsynk Inverter and Sunsynk Battery -5.32. Within a week they attended to install both the Inverter and Battery and I am vey pleased with their work. I will recommend The Solar Company to anyone who wants to install solar to generate electricity. Good Company. Mr Emmanuel Hanson, Sydenham

Let’s start with George and Mark and the Team. Very professional. Very knowledgeable and genuinely a great bunch of guys. Can’t fault them. The cost. This was one of the reasons I took time in getting Solar. When I mean time. I mean about 3 years. It is a big investment but after doing research and calculations and actually having it up and working I wished I had got it done a couple of years ago. It should pay itself off in just over 5 years and even now I can’t use all the free electricity. The service we got was very professional. They couldn’t have done anymore. They stuck to their word with timings/costs/paper work etc. I had very little to worry about and have already recommended them to others. As a business they are definitely doing everything right as I rarely give feedback but they have done a grand job and get my recommendation.

The Solar Company was very quick to sort out our issue. They were not just knowledgeable and skilled, but very personable as well. Keith Date of experience: 23 May 2023

George, Mark and team were terrific. Quality workmanship. The system is working really well. Highly recommended!

The company was very helpful and onetime all went well during the install of the sola system. If you want a reliable company and very friendly and helpful then I would recommend The Solar Co.

We're very happy we went with George, Mark and their team for our solar PV + battery installation. Communication was excellent, they really know their stuff and they were good to deal with. On the day the installation went smoothly and we're happy with the result. After-sales service is also excellent. Top marks.

Really happy with the experience with… Really happy with the experience with this company. Mark and George were professional and knowledgeable, and answered any questions we had thoroughly. They were punctual and reliable and gave us honest advice as part of the survey. The installation was quick and hassle free. The after care has been brilliant too, Mark being very responsive and answering any queries without delay. Highly recommended!

Excellence from everyone I have dealt with at at The Solar Co for our battery and panel installation. Mark was fabulous and George was excellent, both were very knowledgeable and professional. The Solar Co came out to do our survey, and George took the time to explain everything, which made the decision much easier. The post survey report set out the details of the project, but the panel layout and saving calculations sealed the deal for us. The installation was booked a few weeks later, and Mark and the team completed the job in one day to a very high standard. Mark talked us through the app the next day and explained how it all works. Super happy with every aspect of the service from The Solar Co. Insightful, responsive, professional and I would 100% recommend them.

After much deliberation, we decided to use The Solar Co. for our battery and panel installation. George was our first point of call and, along with Mark, came out to conduct the survey. The other companies we spoke to were not willing to visit my property - for such a big investment, we really wanted a professional to visit before moving forward. After the survey, we received a report detailing the panel layout, financial savings and any other considerations associated with the project. The level of detail here removed all doubt, and we paid a deposit. Around four weeks later, Mark returned with the team to complete the installation. The installation was finished in a day, and the house was left spotless. The following day Mark returned to complete a system handover and explain how the app worked. We couldn't be happier with the service and will definitely recommend them to friends and family. JR

Great service from a very professional team. George was more than happy to advise us on the best options. The whole experience felt personal, not just another customer to charge and move on. A special mention to Mark who managed the whole thing and kept our minds at ease throughout. Lovely experience all around, high recommended.
