The work carried out on site was great. The team were respectful and knew their stuff. They left everything tidy. As for the office, very slow to respond and fails to answer questions unless you continually ask for a response. Wanted to charge £1000 to install a gateway. Said it will take another day. It could have easily been done the same day as the electricians were efficient and were finished by lunchtime on day 1.

Disappointing Experience – Poor Workmanship, Property Damage and Appalling Aftercare I don't usually leave negative reviews, but after our experience with AJ Renewables, I feel it's important to share an honest account of what has happened. We had solar panels and battery storage installed on 14 July 2026. Unfortunately, what should have been an exciting investment in our home has turned into an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience. The initial installation was carried out to a poor standard, with damage caused to our property, including our guttering. Although some of the original issues were eventually rectified, we have since discovered further broken roof tiles when my husband was repairing the damaged guttering. What makes this particularly upsetting is that our roof was only eight months old at the time of installation. We now have concerns about the possibility of further damage beneath the solar panels, which we are unable to see or inspect ourselves. What has frustrated us most is the significant difference between the company's approach to collecting payment and its aftercare. AJ Renewables were extremely persistent in requesting the final balance immediately upon completion of the installation, which we paid without delay. However, obtaining the necessary installation documentation has been a completely different story. Despite numerous emails and requests, we are still waiting for our DNO documentation more than three months after installation. This documentation is important because we wish to change energy suppliers and arrange a solar export tariff, allowing us to receive payment for surplus electricity generated by our panels. Although some paperwork was eventually provided following repeated chasing, our most recent correspondence has been completely ignored. We have now resorted to contacting the electricity network operator ourselves in an attempt to obtain the information that should have been provided as part of the installation process. What I find particularly disappointing is AJ Renewables' repeated requests for us to leave a review. Following the installation, we received repeated telephone calls and multiple text messages asking us to review their service. One message even stated that if anything wasn't perfect, we should contact them and they would "sort it immediately". Unfortunately, this has not reflected our experience. While the company appeared extremely keen to obtain a review, getting responses to emails about outstanding documentation and resolving problems has proved considerably more difficult. I would have much preferred to be writing a positive review about a successful installation and excellent customer service. Instead, over three months later, we are still chasing paperwork and dealing with concerns about damage to our property. We have paid a considerable amount of money for this installation and expected a professional service from beginning to end, not just until the final payment was received. The lack of communication, poor workmanship, damage to our property and disappointing aftercare have completely overshadowed what should have been a positive experience. At the time of writing, the outstanding DNO documentation and concerns regarding further roof damage remain unresolved. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend AJ Renewables. I sincerely hope the company takes this feedback seriously and addresses the outstanding issues, rather than simply focusing on obtaining customer reviews.

We had solar panels installed. All went very quickly from first contact to installation. Compared with another company were fairly priced. Staff were great- polite and helpful. Felt good having direct number to office. Feel confident there is good local back up for any problems. There was a hitch in timing with scaffolding and installation of panels on one part of the roof , but all resolved quickly. Really happy to have a renewable energy source with batteries.

Very good company. Tradespeople who came were all polite and professional, roofers and electricians introduced themselves and were happy to answer any questions we had. They worked quickly and efficiently with minimum disruption. When finished we were given clear instructions on how the system worked and how the app worked. All went well and I would recommend this company.

I chose A J Renewables because of their honest approach when I contacted for a quote. I was not disappointed, all the team were professional and kept me informed at all stages. The roof guys who fitted the panels were outstanding throughout, we had weird tiles that were no longer in production so they managed to get on the phone and source some reclaimed tiles, the alternative may have been to bodge the fitting and essentially would have made it look a bit tatty. By doing this they had to reschedule to a weekend and waste a very long drive, this was no problem to them and made my roof much happier. I was Impressed they did this and also impressed the boss allowed this creativity. I highly recommend AJ Renewables, decent firm! thank you.

AJ Renewables were very easy to deal with - they did exactly what they promised to do and did it very quickly - the staff and their contractors were all friendly and the install of our solar panels and batteries happened with minimum upset - the products appear to be of good quality and are robust - we are just beginning to understand how to use the equipment for the best outcome so it is a learning process but hopefully one that will prove to be a financial and environmental benefit - overall an excellent company and very easy to recommend

New installation of solar /battery/EV charging All carried out quickly by a local company who are extremely professional and skilled Details of technology explained simply with assistance given when needed.

Beware of this company. Once they have your money you will have a hard time getting a refund if required. I placed an order for a solar system with battery storage and an EV Charger totalling £25k. David Young was great through the whole sales process. We went ahead and placed a £2500 deposit back in December 2025. The system was meant to be installed approx end of February/March 2026 which we were happy with as we were getting some other work done to our house. After several delays waiting on getting the approval passed and waiting to get the external fuse upgraded by SP Networks we were in July 2026. Many phone calls with Ryan and Sean in operations we were still no further forward. In mid July we decided to cancel the whole system as we had zero confidence in this company. I have been trying to get my refund back now since early August. Many phone calls to Ryan/Sean and a customer service woman. They all tell me they have passed everything on to the Finance department and that I will get my money back soon. This is now end of September and I am still waiting. Very frustrating and I would not trust this company, avoid at all costs!!!

Overall very happy with the 13.5 kW installation and communication throughout with the company. The granting of my G99 permit caused a start delay which was not down to A&J but NPO permissions. I still have to get permission for export to the grid which A&J are working on my behalf to complete. I attach some pictures to show the actual roof after install was complete. I shall leave a further review after my system is fully synced with the grid. The scaffold and roofing teams were very professional and friendly and worked tirelessly to get the work done as did the electrical team. I would recommend A&J to anyone thinking of installing solar system

I contacted AJ Renewables having seen an advert on TikTok. There was no pressurised sales pitch and I knew exactly what I was getting when I agreed to go ahead. Everyone from sales, scaffolding, electricians and those fitting the panels were all professional, respectful and tidy. To be honest things didn’t go as smoothly as it could have which was outwith companies control. As an explanation I had a verbal agreement that the scaffolding would be erected early than would be the norm, something they didn’t have to agree on, to allow me to clean my roof. When the scaffolding failed to appear and following a number of communications one of the directions, realising things were as they should be contacted me and the situation was resolved. where a solution was agreed to push back the installation long enough to allow cleaning of my roof. This was impressive. Communication was not always as I would have expected and when speaking to the directors it was not what they would expect either which was rectified as comms thereafter improved. Unfortunately these things happen from time to time but the reason for my rating is not on the negative aspects of my experience but how the company fixed things when they didn’t go to plan. It showed me that the Directors were on top off things and were able and willing to resolve issues quickly . Due to earlier communication with the directors who both offered me an open invitation to contact them at anytime they again contacted me at the end of the installation and were keen to get any further feedback and discussed how they looked to mitigate the issues I experienced going forward. This was a nice touch and I had a real sense that customer satisfaction was a main priority. In summary my experience of AJ Renewables was a positive one and would not hesitate in recommending this company to others who want a professional job by a company that cares about their clients.

What to say! Cant fault the solar instal on my property. The team turned up exactly as planned and worked non stop until complete. Had a full solar system fitted and up and running by the time i went to work and back. Great Job !

Solar panels and battery install. Great initial visit from David who helped talk us through our system and didn’t push us at all. There were no chasing calls to see if we’d made our mind up but the price was significantly cheaper than other quotes we’d had and reviews were good so we went for it. The company are clearly busy so we understandably had to wait a good few weeks for our install as well as having to wait for the G99 to be approved. The install itself was very smooth sailing and although I’d had to chase for a couple of things ( our named person was on leave at the time of install) we then got a call from one of the owners which I was really impressed by. You don’t often see customer service like that. Really pleased with the overall system and the company and would recommend to friends and family.

Unfortunately, on Saturday morning our Virgin Media fibre broadband started playing up. When the system eventually had to be rebooted, our WiFi details changed and, as we feared, this broke the connection between the solar installation and the cloud. I contacted Sean at AJ Renewables for help and this morning he came along and, within just a few minutes, had everything reconnected and working perfectly again. When choosing a solar installer, it is very easy to concentrate on panels, batteries, specifications and price. But there is another important consideration: what happens after the installation when you need some help? Our experience this morning demonstrated exactly why good local after-sales support matters. AJ Renewables didn’t simply install the system and move on — Sean was there when we needed him and went the extra mile to get us back up and running. That sort of friendly, responsive service gives you real confidence that the people who installed your system will still be there to support you afterwards. We had an EcoFlow Ocean home battery installed at the very start of July 2026. This was to supplement our existing solar installed with our new build. We signed for a 10kW system, 6kW inverter, and to relocate our existing EV charger to be separate from the battery (as we didn't want the hassle of managing that or draining the battery). This was quoted at £7,450 installed. The final survey recommended that our existing inverter would be able to be used to avoid external trunking on the side of our house, which was great. On installation day however, this wasn't something that could be done, as such we have black trunking down the side of our house. Not the end of the world, and it's a more efficient if not a less tidy installation. The installation otherwise in terms of battery and other components was done to a good standard. The end was a little rushed, as such we've gained some materials and tools left behind by the team. I've since gone and tidied up some of the cable tie ends and bits and pieces around the site, but the system works as advertised. Unfortunately, I have had some issues with after sales support. Having raised issues both by email and telephone I've not had any response, and I've made sure to give it a couple of months before writing this review to give adequate time to respond. Firstly, AJ Renewables are only MCS certified for Solar installations (though their website states "MCS certification ensures that our solar panel AND battery storage installations meet strict quality and performance standards"). It's a disappointing omission, and something that was not raised even post-installation when I called to request information. Here I was told that there was no MCS certification for battery installations, and that it only applied to solar, which is not true. I have since confirmed the above directly with MCS. In addition, despite requesting it, I am also yet to receive minor electrical work certification for the changes to our EV charger, addition of a new consumer unit, the change of inverter, etc. No handover documentation has yet been provided. I'm still waiting on DNO documentation, although AJ renewables have stated this is due to a backlog with the DNO themselves. So overall, a bit of a mixed bag I'm afraid. The system functions as described, but the pre and after sales support around this is disappointing.

We initally had David out from AJ Renewables after a number of consultations from other solar PV providers. He was very knowledgeable about the system and installation procedure, particularly providing lots of detail about the work on the roof ensuring are no gaps between tiles and that panel warranty is kept intact with the fixtures. Following this we had Sean out to survey the electric install and we were very pleased when he said our preferred location of the battery and inverter was no problem. Both Ryan and Kelly at the office were able to sort finance and arrange a very soon install date before our return to work. The job was carried out over two days and wouldn't even had taken that if we didn't need broken tiles replaced, which was included in the price. The quote was very reasonable for a 22 panel system with 6 kW inverter and 10 kW capacity and it has been performing fantastically since (see attached photo). Before finishing up the Ecoflow app was set up by one of the electricians who took the time to show me how to operate. We even received a thank you gift a which was a very pleasant surprise that arrived just a day after our MCS Handover pack. Overall the whole team were all fantastic every step of the way, the work was to an incredibly high standard with a detailed report and I have complete confidence that the aftercare with 15 warranty will be top notch. In closing I can wholeheartedly recommend AJ Renewables to anyone considering a solar PV system. Thanks so much again!

I had solar panels and a battery installed at my house. The electrician and team were excellent and made a real tidy job with all of the wiring. Very professional and efficient. The solar panel installation teams were really good and made significant effort to ensure everything looked good. Only 1 issue which was beyond control by the team was to do with slightly damaged panels that required replacement, this delayed the project as new panels needed to be on site. Although once everyone was back on site, the job concluded successfully. Last point goes to the scaffolding team who were really good and efficient too, really friendly and helpful. Good work all round

I used this company for additional solar panels and a battery storage system. The electrician and roofers were excellent, but the scaffolders kept simply not turning up. I have no idea if this was the scaffolding sub-contractors or poor planning of the company themselves as there was a consistent lack of communication (I think I had my many phone calls returned only once). The other potential improvement, as an advertised Octopus partner, would be better integration with the Octopus set-up and tariff. Overall though, the installation was fast and smooth. Their trades people make for a good experience.

Contacted AJ to get a home battery fitted to the Solar PV system I had installed a number of years ago. Very happy with the service and the quality of workmanship. Would recommend.

Picked AJ Renewables after seeing various adverts for solar panels. Spoke to them and booked a consultation with Lee. He went through all the details and options. He explained the process and the features and benefits of the system. From booking to installation the process was easy and the guys were great to deal with. Installation took just over a day and I was left with a fully functioning system. The only downside I have experienced is with getting the export set up with my electric company. This isn’t AJ Renewables issue but felt they could offer a bit more support as they deal with this far more than I do.

Good kit, poor post-install communications and aftercare. I had 16 solar panels and a 10kw ecoflow power ocean battery installed 8 weeks ago. The positives are good information and system design from David at the outset but issues began to creep in from the survey onwards. The survey failed to spot the original 19 panel design did not fit onto the roof, leading to changes to the design as the roofers installed. The roofers did a great job with the first 8 panels, but the scaffold didn't turn up until lunch, so the fitting of the second 8 was rushed, with a return visit needed to finish the job properly. There was also a factory fault with the 6kw inverter but all credit is due for a speedy fix as this was promptly swapped in 2 days. Aftercare communications have been terrible. Repeated calls were needed to get the scaffold removed- it was finally taken down after 6 weeks with no notice. Eight weeks on I have no paperwork or MPAN, so I'm missing out on payment for generated energy. I have emailed and called several times over the last 5 weeks, but never receive a call back or email. This companies comms and aftercare are terrible!

From quote to installation, everything was really well organised. We were kept up to date at all stages of the process. At the survey we were told what would happen on the installation day. On the day of installation, the installers turned up first and started preparing for the delivery of the panels and battery. The electricians then turned up and started running the cables. When the equipment arrived later in the morning everything was ready for the installation. By early afternoon the panels were complete and the electricians then connected everything up and tidied up after they were finished. On the next day, the app was showing that the battery was charging and our electricity was coming from the solar panels.

Excellent service start to finish. From the first sit down to discuss options to install it went very smoothly. Its a bonus to have a single point of contact throughout the process and Kelly was very helpful everytime I made contact. The roofers installing the panels where exceptional and went the extra mile to ensure scope was completed within allocated time. Electricians housekeeping could have been better. Only downside was length of time the scaffold renained in place post job completion , scope finished and approx 21 days later and scaffold is still up with excuses of low manning on scaffold team the reason it wasn't removed. Given some of the scaffold is in my neighbours garden and the scaffolders advised it would be taken down 2 days after job completion is a real negative as it seems the scaffolders run the job rather than Aj when it comes to deciding when scaffolding will be removed. Overall great local company who I would recommend for Solar panel and battery storage but the scaffolding issues needs sorted out as well as being honest with the customer as to when the scaffold would be taken down. Also learn that once customer has paid you can still communicate to emails being sent.

Really great service, from start to finish. Answered any questions I had, kept me updated all the way through the process. On the day installers were excellent, cleaned up afterwards. All I all brilliant company, would heartily recommend.

Pre-install was excellent. It didn't take long after requesting a quote to receive a callback, and the team were friendly and knowledgeable. They discussed the available options with me, tailored the system to my needs and helped maximise the value for my budget. 5/5 The installation itself was also excellent. It was scheduled much sooner than I expected, and the team completed the entire project in a single day: 17 panels, external battery and inverter, fully installed, commissioned and generating before they left. Professional, efficient and tidy. 5/5 Unfortunately, the post-install support has let the experience down. After receiving the handover documentation I had several follow-up questions regarding maintenance, my EV charger and the remaining paperwork. I was told I would receive a callback the following day, but after 16 days and multiple follow-up emails I have still received neither a call nor even an acknowledgement. The questions themselves were not urgent, but the complete lack of communication has left a disappointing final impression. 2/5

This company is not MCS certified for battery installs, ive recently had an issue with a Givenergy battery they installed and its been 3 weeks and no reply. The installation was subcontracted despite them saying it wouldn’t be. I have a fault with one of the batteries supplied when it gets to 20% it stops output as cell 5 drops to about 2.8v while the other 15 cells remain at 3.2v , i provided proof of the battery cell fault and they have not responded to my email. The inverter was positioned without the required 300mm clearance around it. Despite Givenergy going into administration under the consumer protection act my contract is with AJ as they supplied the equipment and I will likely have to go down the smalls claims court route.

We recently had a Hanchu solar panel and battery storage system installed by AJ Renewables. The installation team treated our property with great care. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and kept us informed throughout the installation.The workmanship was excellent, with everything left clean and tidy once the job was complete. The team also took the time to explain how the Hanchu system works, helped set up the monitoring app, and answered all our questions, ensuring we felt confident using the system from day one. The Hanchu solar panels and battery system have been performing exceptionally well, and we're already seeing the benefits of generating and storing our own electricity. It's reassuring to know we've invested in a high-quality renewable energy solution that should help reduce our energy bills for years to come. The fitting was good and enjoying the benefits of the solar panels since the were installed never used any real power from the grid . Would I recommend the company to do further work certainly.

Really happy with the service and solar annd battery install was completed quickly and cleanly. Despite having to work around a wasp nest, they accommodated changes to the schedule and returned as planned. Kelly on the phone was always happy to answer queries and keep us informed.

Had a solar installation from AJ Renewables beginning of July. I found them informative, helpful professional and friendly. On the day of installation the teams turned up and were polite, respectful and professional. The work was carried out to a high standard and I couldn’t fault the installation. They had the system up and running with me online using the app. After the install they have been in touch to ensure everything is satisfactory and if I need anything to let them know. I would recommend AJ Renewables if you’re looking for a solar installation at your home.

Great support from the whole team before during and after installation

Got AJ Renewables to fit Ecoflow system with 10kwh batteries and 16 solar panels, with inverter, all the way through David in sales could not be more helpful felt as though he was guiding me to the system that was correct for me and not a high pressure sale (ask for him ). Scaffolder was a nice guy , fitters were good at there job however there was a problem with fitting. Got to deal with Sean , and the other fitters till it was fixed ,Quickly fixed and to a high standard . I Think you can tell more about a company when things don't go the way they were meant, and the way my issue was fixed was very professional, . Would i recommend this company to someone. YES without doubt I would. Good company

We had a 14 panel and 10kw battery installed, from the first contact through to installation AJ have been very easy to deal with, Hats off the the install teams of roofers and electricians who were all excellent. First weeks generation has been good and looking forward to seeing the export payment helping to offset a little of the investment once the G99 application goes through.

We are very happy with our batteries and gateway it had only been in a day and we had a power cut the system liked in in a fraction of a second and the power was back on the outage lasted 10 hours through the night

Kit is good and working. People who showed up over 6 week period to try and install system and fix and mitigate reputational damage of unfinished job are good and attentive people. However, this company has a systemic lack of understanding of what it is to deliver an end to end quality customer service...too many negligent moments, too many opportunities to improve...blankly ignored...too many repetitive phone calls, emails, document edits and ignored formal complaints now even too boring to recount. Don't waste your precious time.

From start to finish, my experience with AJ Renewables has been amazing. I saw their advert on Facebook, in which they state “no hard sell”. I contacted them for a quote and arranged for face to face visit. David showed up and went through our requirements and gave us a quote for a system that would meet our needs. David was very friendly and explained everything very clearly to us. As their advert stated, there was no hard sell. After giving us our quote, David left and allowed us to come to a decision. When we contacted them to go ahead with the installation, we were given dates for the site inspection and installation. Everything went according to the plan that we had been given and everyone, from the scaffolders to the electricians to the roofers where very friendly and professional. They were all on time and worked very quickly and to the highest standard. So big thank you to all the team at AJ Renewables for making the whole process seamless and stress free. If you are thinking of solar panels, I would highly recommend AJ Renewables.

Very happy with the installation. The team were very good from the initial visit to the final installation. Would certainly recommend them. The only downside was the company that they use for scaffolding as it took them 4 weeks to remove it after completion.

The initial contact was good and we were advised that our installation would be completed in a day. We were told that the scaffolding would go up the day prior to installation but this did not happen , delaying the start of the installation. The roofers, scaffolders and electricians all worked hard, with job taking 3 days to complete, with a final tidy up morning by the electricians. We fully realised that we had a complex roof, but the one day job took 3 full days, with 13 solar panels being fitted. We were satisfied with the end result, but better communications and project management throughout the project, would have been appreciated.

Repair was great, had an issue with our EcoFlow system. It seemed a broken update hadn’t reverted back. Electrician that visited was great and sorted it very quickly. Customer service is once again lacking though. Had to call back yet again, this is the only side that has continuously let them down in my experience.

We are very very happy with our installation of solar panels and batteries. We did a little research and after reading reviews and speaking to a couple of past customers we went with A J Renewables. We felt most comfortable that we weren’t pressured but were given answers to our questions. The installation team were great and though there was a little tweak needed to get the system up and running it was no hassle. I would happily recommend these guys and the panels and battery tower actually enhances the look of our old cottage 😁

We had batteries and gateway fitted. David in sales was excellent and gave sound advice and the installation by Rory was excellent as was his advice in setting up the app and he went out of his way to resolve a few settling in issues with the app. Unfortunately our installation was cancelled twice due to stock issues with the equipment . In the current climate that is understandable but we received no communication regarding the cancellation of the installations. This was the only area we received poor service.

Was recommended to use AJ Renewables and to be honest they were excellent. From Duncan the electrician with his apprentices and the two amazing roofers the whole process was seamless. I would definitely recommend these guys to anyone considering solar panels. The pre and after sales service is also very good. I was allocated Kellie and she was always available to help.

Good efficient guys to fit solar panels but electrician is very poor, and potentially dangerous fitting diferent brand rcds, wrong size cable, had to get most things sorted by someone else as mistakes he did could be very dangerous!!

Left all installation waste on site, damaged my roof, lost key to gateway box and have completely snubbed me since install day and payment made. I now have a recall on equipment and they have not let me know this or responded when I let them know!. Great until it came to install then worst after service you can imagine.

Recently got panels and battery fitted. The process was simple , all done by phone and team call. Everything was explained clearly and a very competitive quote given. (No one round at house for hours) Everything was fitted quickly and efficiently and the guys were great. All working well and pretty much no electricity required from the grid, so meeting our requirements.

After thinking of having solar panels and battery storage installed my wife and I decided to take the plunge. After doing some research we decided to use AJ Renewables, this was down to a mix of reviews, good clear website and a good ad campaign on Facebook. We booked a consultation with Lee who asked for some images in advance so he could get everything ready which was brilliant. Lee is a brilliant professional, really good to get on with, knowledgeable and listened to and answered all our questions. His advice guided us to a good balanced system, one that fitted both our needs and our budget. He didn't try and upsell or push any extras which was really appreciated. We went ahead and installation was done 2 weeks after the consultation which was lots quicker than we anticipated but was brilliant and worked well for us. The installation team were brilliant, really respectful and friendly guys, kept me informed and in the loop if any small issues arose and worked hard to find the best resolution. Equipment is great quality and actually working better than I expected. There have been a couple of snagging issues but that is to be expected with so much work undertaken. What I will say is Kelly has been amazing as a point of contact, making sure any queries were acted upon immediately and communicating brilliantly with updates. Any tweaks needing done were done next working day, shout out to Sean working his magic and we are really pleased we went with them. I can't recommend this company and team enough, using local was important to us and they have shown us we made the right choice.

We have just had a solar system installed by AJ Renewables. We were very happy with their professional approach. From the beginning their staff were friendly and knowledgeable and did a very efficient, tidy job. There was a bit of a delay caused by their parts supplier but overall the work was carried out in a very timely manner. The roofers were great and the electrician (Dougie) was very friendly and professional, doing a very neat and tidy job. We were kept informed of what was happening at every stage of the installation. The follow-up support has been excellent as we have contacted them on a number of occasions to clarify some aspects of the process of connecting with our energy supplier. Our 'project manager', Kelly, has been very patient and understanding as we get to grips with our new system. We felt confidant that we would be able to contact the company at any time and would receive sensible answers to our queries. We are more than happy to recommend this company.

Too team from beginning to end. Simple and clear options. Different finance options discussed patiently. Time given to think it over and quick turn around time from initial agreement to the system being fitted. After a fair bit of research into solar installers in Scotland my wife and I settled on AJ Renewables, from the moment of first contact to the finished result we have been delighted. The enthusiasm and professionalism from all of their team has been exceptional. We have a slate roof at our property and this was the main stumbling block for us, but AJ have their own team of in house tradesmen including roofers so this put my mind at ease. The electricians also done a wonderful job and went above and beyond to route cables where we thought they couldn’t go but they persevered and this made the whole installation so much neater. the job was completed in the time scale given and the site was kept tidy throughout the whole job. I would wholeheartedly recommend AJ Renewables for your installation.

We requested a home visit & quote which was arranged promptly - the male who visited was not pushy or sales-like in the slightest, was really knowledgable and made me feel at ease as a woman. When it came to install, the fitters were here on time, very pleasant and efficient. I am delighted with the outcome & can already see the savings just over a month in!

Great job done by a good and courteous workforce backed up by great customer support. Should have been 5 stars but a problem with solar panel supports held the job back and getting the scaffolding removed after the job seemed a problem.

From ordering to installation, the process was seamless. Installer (Duncan) was friendly and very respectful of my property. Checked I was happy at each stage with cable routing etc. Extremely happy with my new SigEnergy system.

Our experience was very good, from requesting a survey and quote through to installation and now onto post installation. Nothing was a problem for the team, any query was answered promptly and the price quoted was competitive. The equipment supplied is reliable and good quality. The team at AJ Renewables have been fantastic, from our initial enquiry through to the detailed design and final installation of the system. The team who came and installed the system, scaffolders, roofing & electricians where all fantastic, a great team who went out of there way to keep us up to date with progress, kept the work site tidy and completed a very neat install. I honestly couldn’t have asked for more, such a great team. Our system has been installed now for over a month, we opted for the largest south east facing array we could install with 14 x 475w black panels, a 6kw Fox inverter coupled with a 5.76kwh Fox battery. Our energy usage is above average with us using 678kwh over the last 31 days, but our system is currently covering over 74% of this with us importing only 26% “176kwh” from the grid, our system generated 958kwh over the same period (between the end of March through to April) of which we used 54% and sent 46% “441kwh” back to the grid, so in short we have sent back over double what we have imported and once our feed in tariff is set up this will cover the cost of the energy we have imported. This has resulted in a massive saving as expected and in alignment with the figures quoted in our proposal. In the future I will be looking to further increase our battery storage capacity and the system allows for me to add substantially more but at the time of our install we simply didn’t have the funds to cover this but the savings we are now seeing will allow us to budget for a second battery come the new year. I wholeheartedly recommend AJ Renewables for anyone looking for a professional, friendly and reliable service at a fare price. Absolutely the worst company I've had dealings with Absolutely no one calls you back now emails no longer send I am waiting on the paperwork so I can set up the proper account with energy supplier and I can't there seems to be an issue with my meter some one was supposed to be coming 2 weeks ago to take photos and on the days they were supposedly coming no one turned up no calls nothing which is normal but infuriating I'm looking into placing a complaint with the ombudsman about this

AJ Renewables installed a 9.5 kW solar system together with an 18 kWh Sigenergy battery and gateway at my property, and the overall experience was excellent. The installation team were highly professional from start to finish. The workmanship and attention to detail were clearly a priority, and the system was installed to a very high standard. Their quote was slightly higher than some other installers I considered, but having seen the quality of the installation and the professionalism of the team, I am very glad I chose them. There were a couple of small snagging issues after the installation, but AJ Renewables were extremely responsive and eager to resolve them. They were quick to arrange a visit and made sure everything was brought fully up to standard. It was clear that making sure the customer was satisfied mattered to them. Overall, I would highly recommend AJ Renewables. The installation quality, professionalism, and commitment to customer satisfaction made the experience well worth it.

Although the situation was frustrating at times, we would like to express our appreciation to Ally from AJ Renewables. He listened to the issues, and this resulted in bringing this matter to a positive conclusion. We are genuinely grateful for the time and attention you dedicated today, and we are pleased that the issue has now been fully resolved. Thank You We obtained three quotes for installing a 10Kw battery to support our existing solar panels. Although AJ Renewables was not the cheapest option, we chose the company based on its strong reputation, including being “Rated Excellent – from over 150 Trustpilot & Google Reviews.” Our initial contact, David, was excellent throughout. He clearly explained the installation process, communicated promptly, and consistently returned our calls within a day. This level of service gave us confidence in proceeding with AJ Renewables. Unfortunately, the battery system failed to operate correctly from late December through most of January due to installation and configuration errors, and communication during this period was very disappointing. While the issues were eventually resolved and a compensation offer was made—and gratefully accepted—we were assured payment by Friday 30 January. Fourteen days later, we have still not received it. Given that we paid our Battery Installation Invoice in full within three working days of installation, we are disappointed that the agreed compensation has not been honoured. We hope someone from AJ Renewables will now resolve this matter and contact us promptly.

Engineers delayed in arriving due to road accident on the way to property but did call to advise. They had a few problems with the cable length but managed to resolve this. Overall happy with the work carried out.

The team is excellent. They have a totally rounded approach which is efficient and effective, not just at the designing the right system for you, but also in then liaising, supporting you through the installation and the inevitable learning curve of the exciting possibilities of switching up more to renewables.

The weather played its part making our installation challenging. The guys were very friendly and did an excellent job.

I had booked this company for a Quote. But after reading the 2 one star Reviews, I decided not to. Mainly because they havent bothered replying to either of them. The one that really concerned me most, was the review, where the system has never worked since it was installed, and after customer has paid a lot of money. Knowing my luck, ours probably wouldn't work either. And company could probably just ignore us too.

After doing quite a bit of research and contacting a lot of companies. We decided to go ahead with aJ renewables for our battery installation as we already had solar panels installed. Pretty much every other company tried to upsell claiming we needed more than we would actually be using. With aj there was none of that, no pressure at all. Every was explained in full detail with no frills attached. They were also the best priced too! The guys came out and did the installation and we didn’t even notice they were here. From start to finish the entire experience with them was an absolute pleasure. Ryan in the office was at hand to answer any questions I had, also Sean was brilliant too. Credit where it’s due they were amazing.

Sadly our system was installed this summer and although it has not worked at all, it trips after a moment, no replacement or repairs have happened. Repeated calls have assured me that they will get straight back to me, but I'm still waiting for a single reply. One email was sent to Tesla in October, and there it ends. I paid for a system, it doesn't work, end of story. I'm deeply disappointed, I have had the worst experience with AJ Renewables.

I am afraid to report my parents and I have had a TERRIBLE experience with this company and it’s time it was made public. We have had a complaint rumbling on with them since Jan this year (2025) which has been escalated to their overseeing body – the Renewable Energy Consumer Code (RECC) and to their adjudicator, the Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR). CEDR have upheld the complaint as it contravenes RECC/the MCS code and in part AJ’s own contract through: • Misleading my elderly parents to the purchase of a solar battery. • Pressuring them not to cancel during the cooling off period. • Poor customer service, in relation to this a number of events, including the complaint. AJ have been ordered to pay compensation of almost all the cost of the battery. However as suspected they have categorically failed to do this so we are having to take it to another level. The company cannot keep getting away with this, people need to be made aware. An awful experience we would not like anyone else to have to suffer.

Keiran, Shaun and the team did a great job. We had a 12 panel system installed with a 10k battery. It only took 7 hours to install, no mess, and made sure we knew what we were doing with the system before they left. Local company which we preferred. We had a new solar hybrid inverter and 3 batteries. An honest no pressure quotation with lots of good info. Fitting had a minor hitch but quickly sorted out, a couple of days later - with the system up and running perfectly now. Speedy and good communication throughout. Thoroughly recommend

AJ Renewables were brilliant. No pushy sales (David, great guy), just honest advice and a variety of options. G99 approval was a bit of a wait but worth it Panels (x18) installed on the Friday afternoon and the electrician (Stephen, also brilliant guy) completed the hook up on Monday and talked us through the app to get system working best, and by Tuesday morning we were fully independent. Next step will be getting export sorted. And would highly recommend to anyone thinking of getting solar/battery system. We will use AJ again when the time comes to increased battery storage/EV charger installation.

Brilliant installation team, one small thing annoyed me, please don’t promise installation and because you’re so busy delay finishing. I felt sorry for the installation team as they couldn’t complete. I missed two weeks of amazing weather due to this. No discount offered which might have lightened the issue. Communication is paramount, just plan better. Apart from that I would have given 5 stars. Panels look amazing and I’m seeing the benefit.

From the start the staff at AJ Renewables were a pleasure to work with. They are all very friendly and helpful. Nothing is too much of a bother to them. The initial design was created around our roof which was not straightforward due to its shape. They were able to work around this, fitting in as many panels as possible. The men who carried out the work were great to have in the house. They worked together as a team effectively and efficiently. They cleared everything up after each day.
