Bumblebee Energy Scotland Ltd has been strongly criticised by two customers. One reviewer says they paid a deposit in September 2025 and by August 2026 the company had delivered nothing, including a promised return of the money, and that the matter is going to court. The other reviewer reports five missed start dates, with an installation planned for August starting in November, and says the install did not match what was discussed at quotation. That reviewer also reports the wrong heat pump being received, causing further delays after pipes had been cut, mistakes in the system design that they had to point out to the plumbers, and pipework reduced from two 22mm pipes on each side to single 15mm pipes on each side. They say the company refused to fix it, saying this is how it is always done and it gets signed off.

I'm afraid I have to agree with previous reviewers, this company should be avoided like the plague. They took a deposit from me in sept 2025, by august 2026 they had failed to deliver anything including a promised return of my money. Its off to court I go!

This is literally the worst company I have ever had to deal with. They failed to meet 5 start dates meaning my August installation STARTED in November. The install was not what was discussed at the quotation phase. During the installation the wrong heat pump was received that caused further delays after pipes had been cut. I had to inform the plumbers of several mistakes made for the system design. The final system resulted in the supply and return pipes feeding the system being reduced from 2x 22mm on each to single 15mm on each. After spending weeks trying to explain the basics of water being incompressible to end up with a refusal to fix it as “we always do this and it gets signed off”. Absolutely awful.
