Only company out of four that actually turned up when they said they would. Robbie took one look at the boiler and, instead of trying to sell me a replacement, suggested I contact the manufacturer first. Turns out he was right — the manufacturer sent an engineer and fixed it for free. In a world where “you need a new boiler” seems to be the answer to everything, it was refreshing to find someone honest. Starting to think Robbie may be the last honest plumber left on Earth.

We got some small repairs done in this instance, and the entire process from getting a quote to completion of the work was seamless. The plumber - Bob Eley - was very competent, precise and neat about his work. The price was very reasonable as well. Very happy with the service overall!

They did a major upgrade to my heating system - it was a week's work and it was completed to schedule - they had 5 staff onsite one day to get everything finished. Trustworthy and reliable trades are often hard to find but Shoosmith Heating and Plumbing set the standard you would expect, (and hope for). When you have an issue you need to know you can speak to someone, Sadiah is always there to take your call and help. Andy, the engineer who has visited our home on more than one occassion, (separate issues), has always been punctual, very attentive and friendly, he has identified issues quickly and fixed those issues in a timely fashion. I’m really pleased with the service I received from Shoosmith. Everyone on the team was friendly and very helpful. I recently moved into a flat and the cold water storage tank in the loft was having some issues, not to mention the lack of maintenance I inherited. Two gate valves were broken and the tank was overfilling. I sought a local firm and Shoosmith were excellent getting in contact with, WhatsApp and other methods. Very responsive and a date was arranged promptly. Andrew arrived exactly as scheduled and got straight to work. I was floating about with work so it was reassuringly to know someone with clear knowledge and skills was undertaking the work. Particularly given the location of the water tank which is quite literally above my head. Andrew installed new valves and put in an additional stopcock prior to the water tank which I never thought about. Now having additional isolation/backup in an emergency All the work was excellent and it's very reassuring to have working isolation valves and a fully functioning water tank. The firm followed up with feedback and pictures of the work which again is excellent. The cost was very good and fair. The reviews speak for themselves and I'm very glad I chose Shoosmiths and would highly recommend. I know who I'll be contacting next time, gained a customer in me

Shoosmith are the gold standard of plumbing companies. They are highly professional and the quality of work is outstanding. Just had a boiler leak repaired and wanted to say what great service Shoosmith's provided. Once booked in we got email confirmation of date/time/engineer name and reminders before the visit, plus email updates as parts were needed that had to be ordered, the engineer was polite and considerate and finished the repair quickly, the boiler was repaired and we received a service report same day. The cost was well inside what we were expecting given previous dealings with other plumbing firms. Would recommend Shoosmith.

Really good booking system prior to the work with excellent communication. On the arranged day, Rob arrived promptly, was pleasant and courteous and did a thorough job. He completed the planned work and identified some additional problems in the pump which he fixed after checking with us. He left the house clean with the system working well.

In particular Rob paid great attention to the standard of workmanship/installation with all pipework and cables organised tidily and vertical/horizontal as you would hope. He explained the likely cause of the issue without using jargon, and took care to ensure the repair was both thorough and tidy. We initially used Shoosmith Heating & Plumbing when we had a leak in our loft tank (June 2024) this was resolved quickly and efficiently. A few months later we decided to replace our old boiler, Robbie came and discussed our options. We switched to a combi and had a system flush with a couple of replacement radiator valves. Our house is now lovely and warm with reduced energy bills. When it came to the big project of upgrading the family bathroom we had no hesitation in approaching Shoosmith to carry out the work for us. We are delighted with the standard of finish and would recommend Shoosmith highly. The team are courteous, tidy and great communicators. (Feb 2025).

I found the team that visited me today great. They listened to me had a look at my heating system they hepled out on one part and were honest in that they stated the system was very old and they could not repair. So happy to find a company that responded quickly and I never expected to get my plumbing problem/leak sorted on the first visit, however Andrew systematically figured what had happened and not only sorted my leak, but horrible smell from drain in my bathroom, and .......... then clarified other problems with regards to my boiler where I wanted to fit an Aqua Bion. After our original boilers gave up the ghost after 20 years of use, Robbie replaced them both, power flushed the whole system, tapped the condensing pipe into our foul water system and replaced an ageing water softener with a water conditioner. It was no small job and was done efficiently, on time and to a very high standard. Robbie's, knowledge, attention to detail and commitment to quality underpinned everything he did.
