Nigel Smith have decided to leave me without Hot water & Hearing for 10 months as my property is a new build under warranty so no other company can touch it till that runs out; I have no clue as to why? Apparently I was “rude” because I said “You can’t come when my daughters here as she has severe Autism and doesn’t like people in the house she doesn’t know;” I don’t understand how that rude but now I’ve had no hot water or heating for 5 weeks; My house is under Longhurst and I’ve asked if I can higher a company myself as the house is under warranty but they just put the phone down when I say that so contacting Solictors in the morning; Not good, the lad that came last was lovely, we had a laugh and on his way he went so not sure why all of a sudden my saying to the previous workman that my daughters autistic results in them leaving me without water or heating for 10 months;

Highly recommended Nigel Smith plumbing and heating. They have sorted my very problematic oil boiler I acquired with my new home in Spring. They're really quick to respond and come out to fix the issue and are super helpful.

My mum ( pensioner) has asked me to give a review to Jacob who came to replace her shower. He had various problems and lots of running around as the job wasn't straight forward. I have just had a bathroom updated. They were amazing from start to finish. Mick helped me choose exactly what I wanted and never faltered despite me changing my mind a number of times. He also kept me well within my budget. Jacob fitted my new shower and units. What a great job he did. He answered any questions I had and put my mind at rest that everything was as I wanted it. I’m sure there are those who have had good experiences of Nigel Smith. However, I am not one of those customers. Nigel Smith were responsible for completing all plumbing in my new build home 10 years ago. Within the first year we experienced a major flood caused by a faulty part being fitted. This resulted in new carpets having to be put down in multiple rooms. 4 years later the pipe attaching the condensate pipe was discovered to be fitted in correctly causing a leak which came through the ceiling. Last year another leak appeared due the condensate waste pipe not being installed correctly to the joists. Their own engineer who came to carry out the repair informed that the original installation did not meet the correct specifications and the problem would happen again. When attempting to contact and discuss this with Nigel Smith their communication was some of the worst I have ever experienced, failing to return calls and emails. I have been chasing them for 5 months to resolve the matter. If you are buying a new build home which has used Nigel Smith I recommend double checking their work or avoiding the home completely.

Poor company representation by van driver. Speeding circa 20% above limit (vans are 50mph in national limit single carriageway and they were pulling away from me at 60mph in a car) and went through a red light on a level crossing, they were still lit while the barriers were lifting but couldn't wait the few seconds for them to go out. If that's how they drive what is their attitude to the quality of their work.

Did a complete bathroom strip out and refit....completed on time, tiles laid to perfection whole job was seemless and on the evenings we wouldn't have known they had been in the house working...First class job highly recommend.

Nigel Smith Plumbing has left my parents who are 75 for seven days without heating and hot water and then failed to turn up at the appointed time. They notified them half an hour after the appointment time that it will be another three days. As repeat customers who always pay promptly, and have used them for several years, this is completely unacceptable. It's cold at this time of year, this falls well below the expected service level for vulnerable adults or anyone.

No complaints have always done a good job whenever we have used them. And will be using them again in the future

Totally rubbish company, unprofessional service provider. Wrong piping installation makes wastage flowing back to the dishwasher.

I've now been using this firm for all my plumbing needs for the best part of a decade. They've replaced my cylinder, my kitchen tap, my toilet waste pipe, my toilet inlet pipe, my toilet siphon, my loft ball valve and my bathroom tap washers. In every case they've done good work at a modest price. On the two occasions where a slow, tiny leak meant that a job needed revisiting, they dealt with the issue apologetically and quickly. Their workmen have been friendly and polite, invariably turning up on time and trying to make as little mess as possible. After years of dealing with a succession of self-employed plumbers who rarely even answered their phones, I count myself extremely lucky to have discovered a company that I'm sure I can rely on.

Absolute cowboy company, installed our shower in new build. Leaked into our study. Insurance claimed faulty install. We paid a £1000 for a new shower tray and instal and these cowboys installed again saying they would rectify it. Same issue again and now shower can’t be used. Had professional company round who said they installed wrong again. Had nothing but messages ignored and Covid blamed for lack of response. Funnily now out of Covid and the warranty has passed… Wouldn’t touch this company at all. Happy to provide msgs that show they were all full of promises too , from John their lead man at the time. When I contacted the owner he was rude and disrespectful. Ironically same issues have happened on loads of houses on the estate all installed by Nigel Smith plumbing… Absolute cowboys

One of your vans travelling down Hawton Lane Newark at 0730 on the 28/07/20 really needs to represent your company better. He was absolutely rocketing down a 30mph road. Please have a word with this driver! I'll be looking out for your vehicles in future and registrations will be passed to Police.

E What an excellent team. They've serviced my boiler & solar panel hot water system. They also came out at very short notice to solve an issue that occurred when I was having my kitchen fitted. They repositioned a condensate pipe, capping off the old one, so that the base units didn't have to be altered. They also capped off the old quick connection gas cooker fitting, again so the base unit didn't need to be altered. I can't thank them , or praise them enough. Great, friendly, reliable, professional, & speedy service.

Great service, quick response. We had a lovely chap called Danny who came out and was an absolute star! Very impressed!

Came out within 90minutes and fixed our issue without problem. Plumber (Danny) was fast, polite, and professional. Quite Reasonable price considering the urgency of our issue
