All the engineers are very friendly and good at their job. I have been using them for a couple of years now and I am always very pleased with their work.

Paul is very easy to deal with and whenever I call makes himself available to speak with on the phone. I would highly recommend Solitaire Plumbing and Heating to anyone!

Exceptional service by Solitaire in finding and repairing a leak from my bath waste. Tradespeople always unnerve me a bit as they are dealing with things I don't understand and which I can't imagine sortingmyself! However, the Solitaire Team arrived when they said they would, were polite, kept me informed of what the issue was and explained how they were going to solve it - which they did quickly and with no fuss or drama! They also left everything spotless. A really lovely team and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Called Solitaire for an emergency and got a great response from Paul and the team. Got our hot water up and running quickly and efficiently where several others have failed with minimal fuss and disruption. The team were a pleasure to have working in the house.

I had a boiler fitted by Solitaire 12 months ago and they have just carried the annual service. They pride themselves on delivering quality workmanship and great customer service and this time was no different. Daniel the engineer, explained what would happen, carried out the work and answered a couple of questions I had, at the end. He was polite and courteous and very easy to talk to. He even bled a couple of radiators as well. I will definitely be using Solitaire again as I have every faith in their ability to advise a deliver what is best for their customers.

Solitaire sorted our issue within less than 24 hours of contacting them. Sam arrived when they estimated, and communicated his ETA via phone call beforehand too. He was extremely efficient, sorted everything we need in a really timely manner, and explained things every step of the way. Would highly recommend.

Highly recommend Daniel from solitaire , changed our plastic pipework in our loft to metal pipework and he done all the work that was needed to make our shower work properly and installed our new hive system and showed me pictures at the end with what he had done 👍🏼 Great customer service and would use again if needed Thank you :)

We have used Solitaire since the very start and they have always been amazing - 2 bathrooms, replacement oil tank and boiler services each year. We have had multiple jobs carried out for us by the Solitaire team, they are professional, knowledgable and reasonbly priced. I would highly recommend them and they are my first choice for plumbers.

I've used Solitaire serval times for a boiler service and to remove and re-fit a toilet when the floor needed re-tiling. I've always found them to be polite, their work to be of a high standard and their charges fair. I've recommended them to family who have also had a good experience.

I have had Solitair as my boiler servicing for the past two or three years and it made sense to me to use therm again to rectify a leak on my radiator TVR. As usual the engineer assigned to my job was on time, introduced himself and was polite, efficient and helpful throughout the time he was with me. He was a credit to a very reliable and local company for all my heating problems. I highly recommend them to others for similar work that needs doing.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Utterly marvellous service My oil boiler decided to misbehave, but George and Paul from Solitaire Plumbing and Heating came to the rescue and were absolutely splendid. Punctual, charming, and clearly masters of their craft. They diagnosed the problem in no time, explained everything beautifully, and had it sorted swiftly and immaculately — not a speck of mess in sight. It’s rare these days to find tradesmen who are both thoroughly professional and a genuine pleasure to deal with. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them — simply first-class.

We had been having problems for years with our boiler constantly cutting out and had been told by several people that the boiler would need to be replaced as the parts were no longer available. Paul and his team diagnosed the problems, sorted out the issues and installed some new hardware. Now months later the boiler is still working perfectly and has not cut out at all! Thanks guys!

I have had Solitaire out three times now: first to service my boiler when I moved in, then to fit a thermostatic valve, and finally to install the smart heating system itself. They were incredible every time. They arrived on time and gave me a ring to say they were on their way, which was great. The engineers on all three occasions were very polite, explained exactly what they were doing, and left everywhere clean and tidy. I have recommended them and will continue to do so. Solitaire are the only plumbers I trust with any plumbing work. I had a leaking toilet and Paul came to repair it really quickly and did an excellent job. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them, super reliable and quality workmanship.

What a fantastic company. My elderly mother had a problem with her heating, so called them, and they responded immediately, sending out a friendly plumber to sort her problem out on the same day, amazing, highly recommend using this company. She's used them again recently for a toilet issue, again they were so helpful, and not expensive either.

My mothers program unit gave up and left her with no heating and no hot water, not great for a 96 year old. Paul and his Solitaire team came within a few hours and sorted everything out with the minimum of fuss. You could not want for better service, we’re so lucky to have this team nearby. We booked Solitaire to install an outside tap on our driveway and reroute the existing hose from our cellar. Dealing with Solitaire was easy and quick; they turned up when they said they would; did a great job; and left everything tidy. They also fixed a problem with our heating while they were there. We thoroughly recommend using Solitaire

Second time of using this firm ...both times, problems solved quickly and efficiently .. Definitely be the first choice !!

I booked Solitaire Group for a boiler service with a confirmed appointment window of 9am–12pm on 29.09.2025. I waited in all morning, but at 11:05am I was told the engineer would be delayed by 1–2 hours. I replied that if we were in then we were in, but I could not guarantee being home for another 1–2 hours after midday. Solitaire then cancelled the appointment themselves during the booked window, leaving me with no service after wasting a morning waiting. The Director who corresponded with me also claimed there would be a “chargeable missed visit” if I wasn’t in later. However, I checked their published Terms & Conditions and there is no such clause — it appears to have been cited incorrectly. While they eventually apologised and offered to rebook, no compensation was offered for the inconvenience. Based on this experience of poor timekeeping, cancellation within the appointment window, and misleading references to terms, I cannot recommend this company. Additionally to the response from the company, it was never explained to me the situation of why there was a delay, this has clearly been added to the reply of this review to make it look like i am a heartless individual and not reasonable. Shocking to imply that! I received nothing but a generic email stating there is a delay and they will be 1-2 hours over the given slot. I was also never given a diary generated email stating there could be a delay of 1-2 hours, as the date i gave originally could not be fulfilled and I was emailed by the Director separately & only notified of this at 11.05am the morning of the appointment.

I have recently had a water heater fitted and a dishwasher plumbed in ,which both required altering cupboards, pipework and electrics. I am so pleased with what they have done, nothing is too much trouble and I valued their advice/recommendations. The team are all polite, knowledgable and good at what they do. Quotes are always provided and there are no hidden 'extras'. For a professional, efficient and reliable company with high standards, I would not go anywhere else. George and Dan have both been in to work in my home and have been absolutely incredible since I moved in. They fitted a new boiler and more recently a Bosch air conditioning system, and I genuinely couldn’t be happier with the results.
