About

JH Trades - Poole, GB-ENG is a plastering and building firm based in Poole. Their background began on building sites in 1990, training in the plastering trade before going on to work on listed buildings to gain experience with traditional methods such as lime. A move to France in 1996 provided the opportunity for a two-year apprenticeship in plastering and building, learning alternative techniques and working with different materials. Drawing on over 25 years of experience in the building industry, they run a small company that works alongside trusted, skilled tradesmen.

Their hands-on plastering expertise includes internal and external plastering as well as lime plastering and rendering. Beyond standard wall and ceiling finishes, they undertake small building projects, broader property renovations, and general home improvements.

JH Trades - Poole, GB-ENG also provides specialised property care services to protect buildings against moisture and decay. Their work covers damp surveys, damp proofing and prevention, and woodworm and timber treatment.

"Really pleased with the plastering work. Quality is spot on, clean finish, and they were careful with the rest of the house. Price was fair and the team was humble and easy to have around. Would happily recommend James and his crew.

James was recommended by a friend and I am so pleased they did. A thoroughly professional service from quote to finish, unusually for a builder ( in my past experiences) he gave a good price which didn't increase and was on time and even hoovered and cleaned up after the job was complete. I will not hesitate to recommend James to friends or use him again in the future.
