Essential Plastering Services

Well priced and finished to a quality standard - Darren was professional and personable from start to finish. Used his services for our new kitchen, would use again & would recommend for any plastering needed in Colchester and surrounding areas!

Darren offered sensible solutions and helped us to get the maximum benefit from our limited budget. The work was of a very high standard and the whole project was started quickly and finished in about half the time suggested by other quotes. We were very happy with the reliability, and that we could trust him to get on with things without our involvement.

A really great job. Would highly recommend

Great plastering quality. Excellent service by Darren.

Quick, reliable and great communication. Work was completed at a great price and to a high standard. Highly recommended.

First and most important they did a thorough job. They were courteous, responsive and reasonably priced. But I would also add that they are likeable people, which I think matters when they may be in your house for several days, and possibly more time from initial contact to completion. Glad to have such good workers in my town Colchester.

I had a nasty wall with the plaster all bubbling and cracked. I can’t believe the difference it makes to walk in to that room and it’s all nice and smooth and even. Darren did a great job and you really get the impression he cares about the work. He had a proper look in person before providing an estimate (I dislike when people do it from pics I have sent, as it’s not always clear from pics exactly what’s going on or the extent of the work required). Very useful for me was that he explained what I didn’t need doing: I thought some large-ish cracks would require the wall to be re-plastered but he told me that a decorator could do it for less money and trouble. So he provided honest and good advice He turned up when agreed, did his work, including filling in a hole that I hadn’t known was behind the bad area, and left the area as tidy as possible (some dust settles later from removing plaster, but a bit of a wipe down and a quick vacuum does the trick).

Have had work done by essential plastering recently and will do so again in the future. I have bought a house in Colchester that had the classic 70/80s design classic wood chip and Artex walls and ceilings and Darren and the guys skimmed over them. Really nice finish and were friendly clean and tidy and flexible with schedules. So would thoroughly recommend

Darren was very responsive on the phone and politely talked me through what work would need to be done. Had the job booked in for the following week and it was done to a brilliant standard. Can't recommend enough!

Great service. Rooms looks great. Thanks Darren

Darren & Leon were very hardworking and did a great job on our bedroom ceilings. Friendly fellas that took pride in the work and left the surrounding areas clean and tidy. Once work was completed, Darren was happy to offer some decorating advice and will answer any questions. We would definitely use them again for any future work and would recommend.

Thank you Essential Plastering Services for an excellent rendering job on our house. The work was carried out very professionally despite the awful weather conditions. Essential Plastering Services provided an excellent service, from the initial survey for the quotation right through to the final completion of the project. The exterior of our house is now looking resplendent with its new sparkling render. Special thanks to Darren, Leon and Mark who were friendly, respectful, polite, skillful & informative advice was given immediately when a query arose. Everything was kept tidy and cleaned up perfectly. I would recommend Essential Plastering Services for Rendering and plastering jobs if you are considering a similar project.

Darren did a very thorough and professional job when replastering the ceiling in our Victorian terraced house, wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to others. Thanks very much!

Essential Plastering Services recently skimmed all the old textured ceilings at my daughters home. Darren is a highly skilled plasterer, very efficient and a friendly guy. Brilliant work, we have been renovating our home and dealt with a number of different trades people, Darren is by far the best we have dealt with. We had Darren plaster our kitchen, he took pride in his work, provided a great price and a really nice bloke to add to that. Would definitely recommend

We first used Darren's services 3 years ago on our first home, Darren did a great job on the ceilings then, so now after a house move and a lot more work needed we did not hesitate to contact Darren again. He will take his time and ensure the job is done properly rather than rushing through to get to the next job, which is the highest compliment i can give a tradesmen. Will use again and recommend to anyone in need of plastering services.

Darren did an excellent job plastering our ceiling and reasonably priced, did the job quickly and efficiently. Left everything clean and tidy, wouldn't hesitate to use again, highly recommend

Darren worked on a number of rooms which were really challenging but his plastering was to a very high standard. His communication was also good.

Darren has plastered rooms in four different properties for me over recent months. He is reliable, turning up on the agreed dates. We discussed the detail of each job, and they were completed as specified. The finish of his plastering is very good. Darren is amiable, and is booked to do further work for my family.

Darren has done an awesome job for us. He has gone beyond by advising us on prep work that was required to ensure the best results. He is also very honest a great person to deal with. I would definitly recommend him,

Darren recently plastered our two bedrooms from top to bottom and has done a truly outstanding job!! The house is almost 150 years old and every wall and ceiling has been plastered to perfection like a sheet of marble. We would highly recommend Darren he’s one of the best !! Thank you 😊

Darren did a fantastic job of our kitchen. It needed a lot of tidying up from previous building and electrical work. He always turned up on time and final product was great! Thank you very much !

Darren skimmed ceilings in our dining room , hall and cloakroom and has provided a fantastic finish and service. His communication from time of quote to completion has been top class and he works tirelessly to get the job done to a perfect standard. Darren is very personable and friendly and I highly recommend him and his choice of music whilst working 😀😀.

Darren came to skim over 2 bedroom ceilings and sort out a few other problem areas on the walls. He did a brilliant job, Darren is very professional at what he does but also very friendly, and i felt at ease being indoors while he was doing his work. I would 100% recommend him and will be in contact for future plastering.

Darren came and skimmed the ceilings in our kitchen, dining room, lounge and hallway and was excellent. During the work, there was a delay on our side with the kitchen. Darren dealt with this professionally and worked with me to arrange a workaround. He was communicative and helpful throughout the whole process and to top it off; he's a nice guy too! I would have no hesitation recommending Darren.

I found Darren very professional and caring, he did a brilliant job and I would definitely recommend him to anyone needing a good plasterer

I had a large flat which was in very bad condition, I had no clue where and how to start the renovation. Darren is master of his craft and takes care in his work which can be seen in the finish. He was very friendly and explained the process of the work clearly. We discovered more problems along the way but Darren was helpful and reasonable with additional work. I will be using Essential Plastering Services for future projects.

Fantastic work, great customer service and very professional. Would highly recommend!

Excellent. Lovely bloke and did our skimming job to a very high standard. Darren was very quick to respond to the initial enquiry, organising the estimation visit very quickly. Very good communication by text and email, keeping me in the loop at all times. Estimate was very competitive and came back very quickly. His time estimate was spot on, and he worked very cleanly and efficiently, covering everything in the room to avoid mess. We really enjoyed having him around, watching the finished article take shape - and we wouldn't hesitate to call on him again to do anything we need in the future. Cheers Darren!

Darren was a true proffessional, curteous and most importantly he cleaned up afterwards. The work he carried out repairing our ceiling was outstanding. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to anyone. The price was very competative and worth every penny.
