We recently had our newly purchased property plastered by Darren, who was quick to come round and quote for the works at a reasonable price. He was also very flexible in finding time to fit in additional works we required to a set deadline. The quality of the work was impressive as Darren holds himself to a very high standard and regularly gave updates throughout the process. Would highly recommend his services overall.
We recently renovated our kitchen and needed some plastering done before fitting the units. Essential Plastering Services arrived on time, worked efficiently and kept everything tidy. The walls are perfectly finished, and the whole project went without a hitch.

Darren offered sensible solutions and helped us to get the maximum benefit from our limited budget. First and most important they did a thorough job. They were courteous, responsive and reasonably priced. But I would also add that they are likeable people, which I think matters when they may be in your house for several days, and possibly more time from initial contact to completion. Glad to have such good workers in my town Colchester.
I had a nasty wall with the plaster all bubbling and cracked. I can’t believe the difference it makes to walk in to that room and it’s all nice and smooth and even. Darren did a great job and you really get the impression he cares about the work. He had a proper look in person before providing an estimate (I dislike when people do it from pics I have sent, as it’s not always clear from pics exactly what’s going on or the extent of the work required). Very useful for me was that he explained what I didn’t need doing: I thought some large-ish cracks would require the wall to be re-plastered but he told me that a decorator could do it for less money and trouble. So he provided honest and good advice He turned up when agreed, did his work, including filling in a hole that I hadn’t known was behind the bad area, and left the area as tidy as possible (some dust settles later from removing plaster, but a bit of a wipe down and a quick vacuum does the trick).
Have had work done by essential plastering recently and will do so again in the future. I have bought a house in Colchester that had the classic 70/80s design classic wood chip and Artex walls and ceilings and Darren and the guys skimmed over them. Really nice finish and were friendly clean and tidy and flexible with schedules. So would thoroughly recommend
Darren was very responsive on the phone and politely talked me through what work would need to be done. Had the job booked in for the following week and it was done to a brilliant standard. Can't recommend enough!

Darren & Leon were very hardworking and did a great job on our bedroom ceilings. Friendly fellas that took pride in the work and left the surrounding areas clean and tidy. Once work was completed, Darren was happy to offer some decorating advice and will answer any questions. We would definitely use them again for any future work and would recommend.
Darren was a godsend, he was on holiday when I initially called and he returned my call within the hour. I was working to a tight deadline with my renovation and had a number of plastering jobs that needed to be completed urgently and Darren fitted me in and did a superb job, he was incredibly professional and polite, I would definitely use him again and highly recommend.

Essential Plastering Services provided an excellent service, from the initial survey for the quotation right through to the final completion of the project. The exterior of our house is now looking resplendent with its new sparkling render. Essential Plastering Services recently skimmed all the old textured ceilings at my daughters home. Darren is a highly skilled plasterer, very efficient and a friendly guy. We first used Darren's services 3 years ago on our first home, Darren did a great job on the ceilings then, so now after a house move and a lot more work needed we did not hesitate to contact Darren again. He will take his time and ensure the job is done properly rather than rushing through to get to the next job, which is the highest compliment i can give a tradesmen. Darren skimmed ceilings in our dining room , hall and cloakroom and has provided a fantastic finish and service. Darren came to skim over 2 bedroom ceilings and sort out a few other problem areas on the walls. Darren came and skimmed the ceilings in our kitchen, dining room, lounge and hallway and was excellent. During the work, there was a delay on our side with the kitchen. Darren dealt with this professionally and worked with me to arrange a workaround. He was communicative and helpful throughout the whole process and to top it off; he's a nice guy too! I had a large flat which was in very bad condition, I had no clue where and how to start the renovation. Darren is master of his craft and takes care in his work which can be seen in the finish. He was very friendly and explained the process of the work clearly. We discovered more problems along the way but Darren was helpful and reasonable with additional work. Excellent. Lovely bloke and did our skimming job to a very high standard. Darren was very quick to respond to the initial enquiry, organising the estimation visit very quickly. Very good communication by text and email, keeping me in the loop at all times. Estimate was very competitive and came back very quickly. His time estimate was spot on, and he worked very cleanly and efficiently, covering everything in the room to avoid mess. We really enjoyed having him around, watching the finished article take shape - and we wouldn't hesitate to call on him again to do anything we need in the future. Cheers Darren!
Darren was a true proffessional, curteous and most importantly he cleaned up afterwards. The work he carried out repairing our ceiling was outstanding. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this company to anyone. The price was very competative and worth every penny.
