Ashfield District Council

Had an issue with my council tax bill. Didn't understand it at all. Gave them a call and the guy I spoke to couldn't be more helpful. Explained everything, put my mind at rest and even offered payment solutions. 👍

Worst council to deal with hired to fix a problem and they in turn don't fix the problem but still charge. Disgraceful people to deal with shouldn't even have 1 star in my opinion. Contact them to fix problems with others about rubbish and again nothing... joke

The repairs department is a joke . I have personally seen them called out to a person who in obvious desperate distress because of the need of urgent repairs. And it’s always a visit from a person with a clipboard who’s job it seems is to try to convince there customers that they don’t really need a urgent repair and that it’s somehow all in there own imagination,

Wouldn't be 1star if I could give u 0 ... paid for my garden bin to be emptied they left it I rang up and was told to leave it out as it was a admin error its now Friday and its been left 4 days and now they closed roll on Monday morning. Absolutely a waste of time

i have been resident in ashfield for 15 years now and have always found the staff to be polite and helpful,if you treat them as you would have them treat you you will be fine.manners dont hurt anyone,

Just called to sort out my Council tax and spoke to Pam. Lovely lady and what an excellent service! Even tho, I called 20 minutes before the closing time she was very helpful and sorted everything! What a lovely lady! Thank you!

Three times I have told the electricians on three different occasions whilst re wiring the flats across the road on Wollaton road Kirkby-In-Ashfield. Came home from work to find they've been again and again left nails and screws strewn all the way across the road.

That 1 star means no stars.i had to give one to put a review.Adc team disgust me.let me be abused by a man for 2 years. They did nothing except give me diary sheets to fill out. I had sound recording of the man smashing his crutches on his ceiling throughout the nights and shouting then said they will reopen the case. But they didn’t. They let this man carry on terrorising and damaging my car right till the day I moved. They actually took sides with a narcissist and never heard me out. The gaslighting from them and a cpo is appalling and very unprofessional. I had video evidence of him damaging my car and they never delt with it. I was stalked by his cameras and on social media, my phone compromised and they did nothing to help. Worst council to be living under. Quick to take rent from ya but wont help in a crisis..

No matter what I've contacted Ashfield District Council for over the years be it regarding parking tickets, waste disposal and collection or a property and planning query. I have always been dealt with by complete incompetence and general rudeness. The most unhelpful council I've had the unfortunate chance to come across I'm sorry to say.

Went to find out about referral for food bank and visit police station

They don't care inless your a family member or a friend of one there workers,the way I've been treated by them over the covic etc they made me spend my days walking the street because of DV promising I was on top of the list for two yrs,when the covid calmed down they took me of the top of the list, Knowing about my mental health and DV it would have been easier for them if I topped myself,think there gutted because I didn't ,Wish I could give no stars,let's just hope they or there family members never suffer from DV,saying that it would be a different story then

Appalling behaviour they will see you on the street and play god. As soon as the dates they should of provided us with accomodation overlapped, which was done internationally by them, they turned nasty and talk to you like dirt so record every conversation you have with them.

They said that it will take 5 working days for that 150 pound to go into my it's a pound to go into my bank for that tax rebate tax rebates from council tax I have been left with no food I have been trying to get this sorted sorted they are not willing to help they just keep on coming at work they just keep on coming up with more excuses than I've had hot dinners I won't recommend Ashfield council to anybody who needs to anybody who needs help

Was going to be made homeless, not my fault and I am ill, was worried as heck, the council stepped up and got me a house fast, it will soon be a year that i have been in it, I thank you all at ADC for your help.

I wish the roads could be looked at, the pot holes are terrible everywhere. There are more holes and road in some places

Zero help for Homelessness I received a section 21 as my lamlord sold his property I suffer with depression and asthma I'm now sleeping rough there laughing at you no care very poor they really don't deserve stars

I think that some of the people in the council tax department are quite rude unhelpful and talk down to you, not really what you want when you need advice 😳

well all the grief we had with our small bedroom as got considerably worse after it was supposed to be done. the floor is not level and the damp on the walls is 10 times worse the floor dips to the window and it is in a worse state than before. dont know you can charge rent for a 2 bedroom bungalow when the walls are wet through and one room is unhinabitable. i,d like the council leader or someone in higher office to come and look at this mess. it is impossible to decorate due to the water on the walls.and yes we pay full rent and rates. the reason for one star is it wont let me post if i dont light up a star. merry messmas to adc

how much money can i claim from the council for a cut caused buy over grown hedges on southwell Lane .as both sides need trimming , on the waist land on the summit end, i am asking others advice too,

lie all the way this lot my house was terrible staff not help full had to buy my own smoke alarm when mine stopped working the 1 to the mains got told when i rang if your that bothered fit your own them told not to go public when i complained they covered it up

If your homeless with children and need their help don't waste your breath, they won't help, they have staff working their that have 0% customer service and think it's acceptable to speak to you like a piece of dirt, no compassion and down right rude. Dont waste your time!!

Collected my 3 sofas and cushions for a small fee, left no mess, very professional. Well done guys, thank you :)
