I highly recommend this company!!!! Phil Hamilton has been a brilliant support to me, in trying to help me work out what was causing strange hives/bites that i've had for a few months now. Phil was always happy to offer me support and advice. Looking at pictures of my hives/bites, and also suggesting I go to the GP, which I did. I now plan to get a referral to see a Dermatologist. However, for extra peace of mind, we opted for a Cannine Bedbug Inspection - with Alex the handler and Ozzy - a very clever dog. What stars they were! I am now so releaved to be told that we don't have begbugs! I can cross them off the list. Sometimes, you just need an answer, because I felt like I was going mad. I can now sleep at night without the fear. Thankyou.

Laura was so helpful giving her expertise and also her time to help me with an infestation problem I had at a storage facility. Lily was a very helpful first point of contact and she asked Joel, one of their surveyors, to look at the videos and images I sent over and give me a call to discuss the situation. Joel was brilliant and answered all my queries patiently and professionally. He really helped put my mind at ease and followed up with me after the call with all the information I requested. Rang PGH Pest Control a few days ago and Laura answered and was very helpful and accommodating. We arranged a date for my bed to be given a thorough clean and Abby arrived this morning. I was very impressed with her cleaning and we got on well and had a laugh and she even cleaned my bedroom chair which I wasn't expecting. Would definitely recommend them. I am a bit of a perfectionist and do nit pick (no pun intended!!)

Joel & Andrea both did an excellant job when we found we had vermin in our loft . They fitted a non return valve and then cleared the loft . They both kept us informed of what they were doing and have solved the problem for us .

I found all the people who work for PGH Pest Control treated me with a lot of support.Laura Kerry Daniel Thompson Stephen Dan Abbey Jason and Yvonne were all very kind pleasant and understanding towards me given my concerns about the scaffolding and Bird Proofing that had to be done.Also as l had never had any Bird Proofing done in the past l didn't realize all the co ordination that needs to take place as l needed scaffolding up at my property. aswell.I realize the staff at PGH Pest Control don't have a very easy job.I would highly recommend PGH Pest Control.Also their knowledge and expertise about pests and Bird Proofing l felt was outstanding.

I had a rodent problem in my loft which PGH dealt with quickly and efficiently. They sent a guy called André who was very professional, polite and a credit to the company (subsequent visits by Brandon and Abby were great too). They arrive when they say they will and get the job done. A great company to deal with.

We can’t thank PGH enough for their efficient, friendly and reliable service when we had squirrels nesting in our eaves. Would recommend them wholeheartedly.

Excellent service. Had an issue with rodent activity and had to have the loft boarded. Did an excellent job and the small issue we had once the work was complete, was immediately addressed and corrected.

Tibor and a colleague from PGH worked through awful weather to install physical barriers to stop rats using an area of garden as shelter, luckily not a nest. Since then there has been no evidence of them trying to access the area which is a great relief. The person who dealt with the admin was pleasant and helpful. I should add that Tibor and his colleague were extremely polite, respectful, and not least discreet.

From start to finish PGH were professional and helpful. Dan P and Bradley who carried out the work were fantastic! They were very careful to keep the areas below the loft where they were working clean and kept me up to date with progress along the way. The finished work was excellent and I can't recommend them enough. Thanks so much.

I don't know how people right so many good reviews?!? I called them to ask about rat problem and told them is from under the kitchen cabinets and for now is 1rat that drive me crazy last 3 days. They told me is gonna cost £495 to come see where rat coming from and put traps. Can make appointment after 3 weeks. For this money I expect someone to come with flamethrower. How expensive is that trap and poison that gonna make property unable to live because of death rat smell

I highly recommend PGH pest control. We had an issue with squirrels accessing our roof and when the first service provider we contacted failed to help (and charged us) we found PGH who completed a free assessment using photos before taking the job. They were transparent about fees and the plan to address the issue. Once on site the help we received from Andre was first class. He was highly knowledgeable and respectful to both my family and the animals. He is a credit to the company. If you want a quality job doing the use these guys.

Well, they got rid of the hornets efficiently & effectively (it took all of about 10 minutes) but the price was a complete rip off (3-4 times as much as other pest control companies quote) so would not use them again

I called Laura from PCH Pest Prevention and Beegone today and she was incredibly friendly and understanding. She gave me amazing advice and tips about dealing with pests and offered great reassurance at a time I really needed it. I had a panic attack after seeing maggots from not clearing my food bin before going on holiday, and since I already suffer from severe anxiety, it really overwhelmed me. Laura was probably one of the best people I’ve ever spoken to – calm, patient, and full of great examples and analogies that helped my brain process everything clearly. Five-star customer service and genuinely made my day.

I had a very difficult experience with this company. I paid up front for three visits (before an assessment which was a big mistake on my side) but it was clear on the first that the rat had left. I accepted that it may have taken two to collect the traps etc but the third obviously wasn't needed but they refused to refund me. The other criticism is that they don't offer a time - just a day - and this is very unhelpful when trying to work around busy schedules. I would not receommend this company and I hope no others fall into the same trap (excuse the pun).

What a fabulous service from this friendly and efficient company. Dan the surveyor came out first to identify the problem and was very pleasant and then another Dan came to treat the problem. Due to the location of the wasps nest Dan had to remove a portion of our bedroom ceiling which he did extremely neatly to reveal a large wasp colony which was treated swiftly and eradicated. Dan did a great job, was friendly and a pleasure to have in our home. All the floor was masked neatly . Very impressed and will use again. Also a mention to Caroline who answers the phone, she has a lovely manner as a first point of contact. Thoroughly recommend this company.

Unfortunately PGH were very busy and couldn’t accommodate us as quickly as we needed so we had to use another company. We would definitely have used them though, quick responses, Phil was super helpful and gave us all the answers we needed. We had lots of questions and he was very polite, kind and generous with his time. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them and have done in the past for a wasp problem. They were also cheaper than who we ended up using. Thank you Phil for answering all of questions and there were lots!

Had a wasp nest, tried to book an appointment online but no available slots for over a week. I called them up instead as advised on their website and they managed to fit me in sooner. Dan P turned up and he was professional, friendly and efficient. Dan was patient with all my (no doubt stupid) questions. The cost also seemed very reasonable.

I was concerned about a possible honey bee colony in the wall of my house. I called Beegone and spoke to Laura who, after viewing some videos I took of the entry point, was able to put my mind at rest and reassure me that it was in fact a wasp's nest – thus saving me a lot of time, expense and stress. An excellent and thorough service.

We had an outbreak of mice entering our loft, we employed PGH to eradicate them. They carried out three visits in total laying down poisons. All of the technicians were polite, and efficient in their work. At the end of the course of treatment they provided us with options how to prevent further infestation and also generally on improving the insulation and condition of the loft itself. As a result we further employed PGH to remove, replace and improve our existing old smelly insulation. Two technicians - Andreas and Keir attended, they first briefed us fully on what the job entailed, then over the following two days only they completed the tasks. We were very impressed with both of them and their work ethic, everything was bagged and removed within the cramped loft space, all of our floors and hallways were protected at all times and rodent prevention spray was kept inside the loft. All of the insulation was bagged and removed by skip as promised. If you have any similar issues we would highly recommend PGH and hope that if you do employ them that you get Andreas and Keir! We also had good communication with the PGH Office and surveyor Anthony.

We commissioned PGH to deal with rodents in our garage and loft. Andre was our technician and we could not have asked for a more professional , thorough and expert service from him. He attended every visit himself to ensure continuity which was really important to us. He was exceptional. Dan was our surveyor and he personally attended on site a number of times and was also very helpful. PGH have a really professional call center team. Laura is excellent at her job. A job well done. I'm the first to get overly frustrated with an inability to talk to a person directly when engaging with any service provider but that cannot be said of Laura in the office at PGH. She was true to her word. When she said she'd ring back......she did. She was informed, easy to engage with and a definite plus as a point of first engagement with this firm. The technicians turned up on time and the job was done professionally with minimal fuss and disruption. In the course of the works I met Dan, Emily and Andre all of whom were excellent and dealt with the pests such that they are no longer a problem to me. I did have reason to ask for one small piece of work to be done again and the resulting communication and follow up service was prompt, hassle free and without any quibbling which was refreshing. I have no hesitation in recommending PGH and their team for what sadly now seems to an all too common a problem with rodent and pest control. Thank you.

We wanted the bees we’d had under our roof for 4 years to be removed alive and taken to a good home. Dan P and Emily did just that, along with bee-proofing that part of the roof. They were an absolute pleasure to meet and their love and knowledge of bees shone through. The whole process was made easy by Anthony who had arranged the quote and the visit. I’m only in the getting a quote stage but I’m already happy to sing their praises. Caroline in the office is so friendly and patient, efficient too as my survey took place 48hr from first contact. Brendan was a delight and very knowledgeable about all thinks old house. A pleasure to work with.

We used PGH Pest Control to deal with a rodent infestation in our loft. They did a comprehensive review of the property and provided a detailed report. The work involved elimination of the rodents, emptying the loft, removing the old insulation and replacing this after having decontaminated the space. They also detected some woodworm, which they also treated. They repaired parts of the roof and put a one way sleeve in the drain, both of which were measures to prevent further infestation. The work was expertly and professionally led by André. Certificates were provided to show the work had been completed. I would definitely recommend PGH for its end to end process

PGH Pest Control arrived quickly and punctually. Their guy explained that they would access the problem and identify possible entry points for the pests. Then another person would put bait safely in suspect areas and return a few weeks later to check the bait and safely remove any evidence of the pests. Both guys were polite, and clean and tidy while they were here. It took several days for the pest activity to cease, but silence now reigns supreme so far. They offer a quick and effective solution to an unpleasant problem. I would highly recommend PGH Pest Control.

From the initial telephone conversation with Laura, the survey with Anthony and shortly after the treatment of our loft with Andre. The team have been amazing, great srvice, friendly quick and professional.

We had a rather large bee colony in our roof space for several years with various attempts by other companies to remedy, with no success. Speaking to Anthony at Beegone was the first time I felt confident I was dealing with somebody who understood the issue and could propose solutions .As per other posts the service isn’t cheap but I already knew it was a big and complex job as I have friends in the beekeeping community. Anthony organised the removal including scaffolding with military precision and brilliant communication and the team arrived bang on time, explained in detail what they were doing and got on with it. They also provided valuable insight into some unrelated issues with the roof which need addressed, jobs we have paid to be done previously in the main. Beegone provided clear video evidence and commentary to act as a spec or benchmark for roofing contractors to fix these issues. I’ve barely seen a bee in the hive area since the job where previously it was extremely busy - finally ! A thoroughly professional and trustworthy service, they do exactly what they say they will, all too rare these days ! Ps I’ve now got a couple of kg of lovely honey extracted from the honeycomb I was given as a souvenir of our bees , I hope they are thriving in their new home Thanks again Anthony and the team for a first class experience in doing it right ! I can't recommend PGH Pest Control highly enough. Caroline, Brendan, James, and in particular Andre, have been outstanding in ridding our home of rats which had come up from the sewer and moved in under the floor. On reflection, perhaps Andre's greatest impact was not in fixing the problem, and putting in place measures to prevent it reoccurring (which he did brilliantly), but in understanding and changing how we were feeling. His kindness, humility, and patient approach helped us switch from feeling disgusted, ashamed, and helpless, to reassured, supported and happy in our home again.

Andre, James and Emma were superstars! They did a fantastic job cleaning out and boarding our loft. They worked during a heatwave which must have been very unpleasant but with no moans and they just cracked on with the job. Contacted service for advice regarding a beehive; was informed no intervention would be needed but was really impressed with the quick response and detailed advice from Caroline. If I need work done in the future I would certainly use this company.

Called up in May to discuss an issue. I had a productive discussion and was given a quote via email. I had to wait a few weeks to be able to afford the service. Upon being ready to proceed I called up to clarify a few details. I called up four times and sent an email before I got any sort of response. I finally received a phone call back after five attempts of contacting myself and I missed this call by 5 minutes. I immediately called back 5 minutes later but the person was again busy. This was the sixth call I had made and third time I had got through to leave a message with colleagues of who I was trying to speak to. I made seven attempts to contact them to clarify a few details. I had said in the email I was ready to proceed upon clarification of a few details. No effort whatsoever to contact me back. A further two weeks down the line since my seventh attempt to contact them and still nothing from them! They have turned their noses up at £360 for a few hours work! I have never seen anything like it!

Laura was very helpful in providing me with the contacts of people who remove swarms of bees from properties. I had spent 5days with a swarm of bees calling for help without luck until Laura provided the right help.

Laura was personable & attentive when booking the appointment. She exceeded expectations and was able to book the team in at short notice which was really appreciated. Andre & his colleague were bang on time and, although no wasp nest was found, they took preventative measures to reduce the likelihood of one starting. Laura was helpful and clearly explained over the phone that our problem was likely masonry bees (rather than honey bees) in our chimney. We then managed to confirm this via photos, without the need for an onsite survey, and with no costs or treatment/removal at this stage. Would definitely recommend the company.

The initial office based planning of the job and communication could have been improved on and in fact, errors were made in the specification of the scaffolding needed, which was ultimately rectified. We had live honey bees removed from our roof space. The team who came out (Dan P., Ben & Amy) were very knowledgeable, professional and explained everything throughout the process. Couldn’t have been better. We were very pleased with their visit and they extracted the bees and placed them in a temporary hive, so that they could be rehoused elsewhere - at a suitable distance so that they wouldn’t come back. Hopefully the bees will be happy in their new home. In summary, the overall review is 3 star - 2 star for the initial job planning, but the actual extraction and the team on site is 5 star.

We literally phoned P G H Pest control less than an hour ago and are already sorted out. Laura was so helpful it was nigh on unbelievable.... I simply sent a few photos over WhatsApp and the bugs were identified within 5 minutes. Laura then told us of a few possible reasons as to why they were in our house, turns out it was because of the bird seed. With that gone they will just die off with no cost to us. What a service 5 🌟

PGH have just treated the woodworm in a stable block. I have used the company before for hornets and rats. As previously, the initial response was immediate; an inspection arranged quickly; a price for the job within 48 hours. Once arranged, the job was executed in a friendly and professional manner. Having now had several different types of pests treated, there is no doubt in my mind that all PGH technicians know exactly what they're talking about! The admin side is equally friendly and helpful and co-ordination and follow up is seamless. You even get a text to tell you when the technician is on his way and how long before he reaches you! Another job well done with special thanks to Branden and Oliver! As an aside, I contacted three companies for price comparison (sorry PGH!). I contacted both of the other companies on three occasions. One's response was very lacklustre and the other has still to reply ..... Would I recommend PGH? Absolutely!

I spotted wasps coming from the eve if my garage late morning. I have anaphylaxis so needed to be careful and went indoors and phoned Ryan who immediately responded and reverted within 30 minutes to say one of their specialists would be with me before the end of the day. We discovered a wasp nest as we moved into our property. It was in the loft with wasps arriving via the soffit next to small bedroom. PGH were so helpful and rearranged schedules so that it could be dealt with immediately . Really grateful to all for their help. Highly recommend this company in Guildford.

We had rats in our garage, which was fairly cluttered. PGH made two visits to ensure all the rodents were dead and then completely cleared the garage and disposed of the rubbish, applied a sanitising spray and a bristle strip along the bottom of the garage door. A special mention to their technician Andre. Nothing was too much for him and he even rearranged the garage to give more room.

When we found a rat in our kitchen cupboard late one afternoon, PGH realised the urgency and rearranged their schedule to make sure someone came to the house the next day. Subsequent visits to block the rats' holes were all professionally handled, with great communication throughout. After two days it's a bit early to say if the treatment was successful, but it all looks good, and there has been no sign of rats since the holes were blocked. Would definitely recommend these people.

I have used this company for a number of purposes as I live in an old house that needs lots of TLC and maintenance. They are trustworthy and reliable and I would certainly recommend them.

As part of the investigation into an unknown form of infestation (possibly mice) in the main loft space it was agreed that the best approach would be to empty the loft, remove the existing floor (old and weakened), clear the existing (shallow) insulation, disinfect the space, fit new 270 mm insulation, increase the hight of the floor and fit new boarding. The infestation and unnecessary heat loss also affected a separate side loft under first floor eaves which had inadequate insulation as well as evidence of wildlife entry (mice and birds). This required removal of the floor in the side loft to allow insulation to go down to part of the ceiling of the room below. The lack of insulation had been causing excessive heat loss from both the ground floor room below and the first floor room which provided access to the side loft. Working in the side loft was particularly difficult as the space is extremely cramped. All known holes and access points for wildlife were sealed. The PGH team achieved the work on both lofts over a period of about 2 weeks. The time was a little longer than had been originally estimated, largely due to the need for emergency work necessary for other clients. This did not present an undue problem and the final result was of a high standard and entirely satisfactory. There was good attention to detail – as an example easy maintenance access to downlights in first floor rooms has been facilitated by hinged trapdoors neatly fitted in the new loft floor. Easy interaction with the working team and hands-on PGH management meant that any queries and additional requests were dealt with promptly and efficiently The service also included the setting and clearance of about a dozen traps in the house, garage and soil drains.

The customer care and professionalism I have received from this company has been absolutely AMAZING! Daniel couldn’t of been more helpful and understanding. I highly rate them and without a doubt I will definitely be recommending them to any of my contacts.

I cannot rate Pete and his company highly enough and wouldn't hesitate in recommending PGH Pest Control. They were brilliant. Pete was extremely knowledgeable, professional, thorough in his survey and had all the accreditations (which not many in this industry seem to have). If only I’d gone straight to PGH in 2020 rather than (worse than useless) JP Pest Control who get MINUS 5*. In comparison PGH smashes it out of the park in EVERY aspect. Their customer service is exemplary and to say that each employee goes the extra mile is an understatement. I contacted PGH today to ask them to identify the species of animal responsible for a dropping I discovered on an exterior windowsill. Ryan the young man I spoke to was more than happy to help. I supplied photos for the identification and within two hours the news came back that the dropping was the property of a bat. A huge relief! So well done, PGH and Ryan, and many thanks to you all.

The service I received from PGH was outstanding. What I initially thought a minor mouse problem was far worse. I called PGH and Peter surveyed the garden, and after investigation quickly discovered a full blown rat infestation next door. The rats had chewed through the sewage piping system and began to multiply. This was quite frightening as my cat kept bringing them in. After pointing out a wasp nest, multiple traces of our mouse lodgers, you came back to me with a very detailed survey, quotation and scope of works for the complete removal of all loft insulation, nests, droppings etc and then the chemical spraying and cleaning of all the areas before replacing all of the insulation. I have used PGH in the past and they were my go-to company when I had rodents in my attic recently. They solved the problem and suggested I had the attic cleared of everything the rodents liked, replaced the 50 yr. old insulation and had the loft biologically sprayed. We had mice in the loft, PGH came on agreed date and also did a survey of the property to find any entry points. They secured those and we have not heard any noises since.

Engaged PGH (BeeGone) to remove bees from a chimney.Expensive but you get what you pay for and PGH managed every aspect of the process: scaffolding, humane bee removal and re-homing and remedial work to the chimney, roof and inside the property. The property is also several hours commute from PGH home base which no doubt added to the expense. Brandon the surveyor was excellent, patiently answering all questions about the process. The guys they sent out to do the work were friendly, did a great job and were meticulous in cleaning up (thanks Jason & co). If you have honey bees in your chimney it is a specialist job to remove them and it is going to cost you but I would have no hesitation in recommending PGH/BeeGone.

I called PGH to investigate suspected woodworm in my house. They were very professional and helpful from the first point of contact. Branden came out quickly and did a very thorough survey. We enlisted the services of PGH Pest Control to help sort out a fox problem we had within the school ground. Firstly Peter Higgs attended and conducted a comprehensive survey of the school and the issues we had with the foxes and advised us on some of the ways we could tackle the problem. The quotation that was sent to us via email was amazing, a detailed video explaining what works they felt needed to be done, breaking it down into easy to understand segments. This then followed a online enquiry form where we could choose the parts of the quote we wanted to go with. Upon choosing the work we wanted carried out the technician attended our site to clear an area of waste land to eradicate where the foxes had been living. The work was carried out to a very high standard and exceeded our expectation, the technician who attended in my opinion went above and beyond and delivered an 1st rate service. Used PGH to treat "unwanted" book lice in kitchen cupboards. Ollie who attended was very polite, professional, explained what was required fully and answered all of our questions. I had a very persistent mole. While it took a while to catch the mole pgh pest control honoured not charging me until he was caught. They made efforts to change traps and trappers until it was successful. Very professional, fair and thorough.

In hindsight I think the PGH plan is very good. Initial inspection and laying of bait / traps. After a few visits from these guys it was completely sorted and they were very professional and honest about what they could do and what results we could expect. They were great. If the moles come back (which I'm sure they will as I live in the middle of a forest) they'll definitely be the people I'll call!

Extremely good service. i had a wasp nest come up in my back garden. PGH came to my property and with in 30 mins had the wasp nest out of the bush, and bagged up. Minimal disruption and would definitely recommend them for any pest problems you may have.

I have been very pleased with the service offered by PGH. They have always been prompt and dealt with the problem very effectively. They are very thorough and always return in a week or two to ensure the problem has been resolved. Everyone I have dealt with has been polite and helpful and I do not hesitate to recommend them.

The Council gave me PGH number when rat presence discovrred in sewer. PGH gave an efficient service, booking an appointment to fit a rat flap in the pipe, 2 days layer. Very professional, polite enginerr who explained how rodents get from sewer into one's houe. So knowledgable and informative too . Efficient service thank you.

Pete and his team have been nothing but professional from start to finish. A year ago, we had PGH Pest Control in to safety remove, what turned out to be, two very large bee colony’s. We had a fantastic experience with PGH pest control. We had an extensive rat issue and they dealt with it very professionally and successfully. We always had the same few technicians come out and they were extremely friendly, tidy and very thorough. They always responded very quickly and answered all my questions patiently and with great knowledge. They also went the extra mile, twice assessing our neighbour's property free of charge and made additional quality control visits to ensure our issue was properly dealt with. The office is also super responsive and all office staff are very helpful. Whilst they are not the cheapest, I can highly recommend them. If you want a thorough resolution to a rodent issue, they are certainly the company to use. They also always came on time and whilst they ask for advance payment, they were really reliable and I had no problem with that set up. I would certainly use them again.

I am posting a second review because Mr Higgs persists in trying to justify his unjustifiable charges. We did take him to court. We did not understand the process and lost because of the cleverly worded contract – see the rest of this review. THERE IS NO NEED TO REMOVE BEES. National Trust properties leave them in situ for many years. Don’t be taken in by the fact that he appears to be endorsed by the Prince’s Trust. We have queried this with the Trust. They seem to be uninterested in his questionable business practices. We employed Mr Higgs in October 2017. The whole experience has been so traumatic and damaging to us, that we have not had the energy to post any reviews until now. Mr Higgs told us that we would run into endless problems if we left bees in our chimney. He gave us a very cleverly worded contract implying that the job would take much longer and be far more complex than it turned out to be. We were naïve enough to sign it. He charged £8000+ for a short survey, 3 hrs of his time and 6 hrs each for a technician and a labourer, a cherry picker for a day and minimal materials. He priced the job and what he thought he could get us to pay, not what it was really worth. I cannot think of any professional or tradesperson who charges or can justify this sort of money, regardless of their qualifications. KEEP YOUR PROBLEM, RATHER THAN EMPLOY BEEGONE, OR PGH PEST CONTROL. Find another company. Don't touch this company with a barge pole. Mr Higgs charged us over £8000 for one day's work.

Beware. BUYER BEWARE PGH exaggerated the problems of bee infestation and the amount of remedial work needed. I expected my chimney stack to be taken down by 1 metre or more and the flue to be broken into from an upstairs bedroom. I was told that this would be made good afterwards. I signed a contract for £8000 and paid a 50% deposit in the belief this would be done. In the event, PGH removed the chimney pot, swept the flue from above and replaced the pot. This took 3 men less than a day to complete. I contested the payment in court but because the contract was for a fixed price I had to pay. Also I now learn that many National Trust houses have had bee infestation for years without problems. Did it need doing after all? I feel that I have been overcharged to the tune of £6000. I hope this review may prevent others from such a torrid experience.

Rodents in my home. PGH Pest Control were the only pest control company who managed to figure out where the rodents were gaining access to my property. They are highly knowledgeable and professional.

I was very disappointed with the two visits by Jason and Leo as they were not thorough, however, I was pleased with Peter and he promised me further two visits but after numerous calls to the company, I have not had any replies from them...they always told me “let me check this out and I’ll get back to you” which they never did....I am still waiting to hear from them...totally disappointed!!
