He is very friendly and personable, and took the time to speak with my wife and me when he first came to provide a quote. As someone who has had bad experiences with tradespeople in the past, I found him reassuring from the very beginning. We had the downstairs hallway, stairs, and upstairs walls and ceilings painted, including all the architraves. The quality of the work was very high. His team are lovely, and you can tell they take pride in what they do (special shout-out to Yo). They had the right tools, used quality materials, and made several recommendations that were genuinely helpful and appreciated. I will definitely be calling Altin and his team back to decorate my bedrooms in the future. Highly recommended.

Alton and his team did a fantastic job for us, completely repainting the exterior woodwork and masonry of our block of 4 victorian conversion apartments. The work was all completed on time and to a very high standard, including some repairs to rotten woodwork. The team were very courteous and considerate at all times. Overall one of the best tradespeople I have every dealt with!

After unfortunately going with the worst plasterers possible, we were honestly worried the whole job was going to be a disaster. When it came to decorating, we chose AMA because they’re local to Guildford and had a great reputation — and I’m so glad we did. Altin came to site, took one look and openly acknowledged it was some of the worst plastering he’d seen. But he reassured us that with a bit more manpower, it could be properly put right. He wasn’t wrong. We had 5 guys on site over 6 days and I’m genuinely mind blown by the amount of work they put in: endless sanding, filling, sanding again, then getting everything ready to decorate properly. We have an end-of-terrace house with a side extension, and after making good the plasterers’ mistakes, the finish they achieved is incredible. The attention to detail is on another level. Professional, hardworking, tidy, and the results speak for themselves. Highly recommended. 10/10

Ceiling repairs needed due to a plumbing leak. Altin was meticulous in his prep work of the leak area, spotting a couple of other problems (unconnected with the leak) and came back two days later (once plaster patches had dried) to paint the whole hallway ceiling look to make it look as good as new. Whole job finished quickly with very good clean up afterwards. No problem in recommending AMA Painters.

Needed help with varnishing wood work. Called them and replied very quickly. They were available for next day and work was great. No complaints and very professional.

Repainted a rental cottage and took meticulous care to protect the flooring. Quality finish and quality business, already been recommending him.

Just wow!! I needed a 3 storey townhouse painted from top to bottom. I’d gotten a couple of quotes already but AMA set themselves apart right from the beginning. The initial visit before the quote was really impressive. It came with such great, confident advice that I felt assured straight away. They blew the competition away completely with the price AND the service! The team that came to the house were incredibly courteous and professional. They kept in close contact with me about their progress and allowed me to make changes along the way without any issues at all, offering advice all the time. I really couldn’t be happier with the result. It’s perfect! I tried to snag the job myself but they got in there before me too… they were honest, true to their profession and spotted minute details that I would never have caught. We found Altin and his team very hard working in very hot conditions. All external walls, window frames, door frames and front door and guttering on the house, plus garage doors, window frames, soffits and barge boards, and guttering were decorated after doing remedial work required. Altin and the team were very polite, respectful and professional with their work. Any minor problems were dealt with quickly. We are thoroughly pleased with the finished job and can highly recommend them.
