Contacted late on a Monday, was offered Tuesday AM slot - very good communication, was quoted a price on the initial conversation, and that’s the price I paid. No haggling, no extras, very straight forward. Arrived in timeslot, very polite - a good honest tradesperson! Few and far between these days, would definitely recommend Fletchers. Thank you!!

Had the son come out to do me a quote for cutting a lock I’d lost the keys to and he was able to complete the work immediately and identified a problem with my front door and was able to fix it so it’s no longer difficult to open! He came by 40 mins after requesting a quote and had all the work done within 20 mins! It was a really good price for the work being done and he was such a kind and helpful gentleman, could not recommend them more!

Absolutely exceptional service from Layton. I was recommended Fletcher Locks and within the hour Layton was out, secured the door and was able to source the correct parts to come back and do the job. Layton came out on Friday evening when his working day was finished, just to ensure my home was left safe. Locked out with the key still in the other side of the door, I had left by my other door and forgot. Called Fletchers and everything was all sorted within an hour. Professional service from start to finish, the reasonable quote I was given (this was a Sunday call out too so impressed with quote), was what we paid. Paul was a superstar and dealt with my little emergency with great care and you'd never know he'd even been there. Except having new keys now for my new lock, everything was as it was. Couldn’t be happier with the service I have received from Fletcher Lock & Safe Co today. Called 10:30 regarding an issue with locking mechanism on French doors. Came promptly assessed job which required a part to rectify, they sourced that returned to complete job which was all done dusted within 2 hours. Clear communication, really friendly dad and son team who took obvious pride in a job well done putting customer first giving further maintenance advice. Price also seemed good. Definitely recommend and will have no hesitation using again if needed.

Needed lock on front door replaced. Guy was there within less than an hour of me phoning (slightly later than what he had initially said, but I’m completely willing to take traffic into account.) Lock was replaced and working beautifully in literal minutes. I’m talking I think I was waiting maybe 2/3 minutes. Price was a tad steeper than I’d been hoping (payed £75 had been hoping around £60-£65) but was worth it for the sheer speed of the service, and on Good Friday no less!

Contacted them because they are apparently one of the 3 best locksmiths in Sunderland. I needed 2 small locks in my kitchen cupboards. He told me to find a handyman instead, then tried to tell me he has to charge £50 to install 1 small kitchen cupboard lock. When I offer him £70 for 2 kitchen cupboard locks he left the conversation without an answer. I think they are greedy, unhelpful and unkind.
Came out within an hour of call to fix back door . Had a thorough look at the look and explained what was wrong and what was needed. Gave me the price and told me there were cheeper , temporary options if the cost was inhibitive especially this close to Christmas. Work was completed quickly, with a year's guarantee. I called after locking myself out of my composite door sent a message with a picture of my lock and address and he was here in less than 20 minutes- he told me it was easier less cost and muss less fuss going through the locks on my conservatory 20 more minutes and I was back in my house, really reasonable price a lot less than I expected replaced 2 barrels on my doors with new keys couldn’t give enough praise for the professional approach and friendly manner.
