I had a lock, already semi fitted to an inside door, completed by a friendly and able locksmith. The job took about 20 minutes. I highly recommend Lock and Safe for fitting door locks.

I send this company a photo of the lock that I was struggling to find a key for and within a day I have the correct key for the lock. It cost me under £4 - to get the locks replaced on the windows would have cost me about £150. They were incredibly helpful, quick and professional. Thank you!

On Monday morning I realised that the lock of the back door of our garage had failed. Rang Macclesfield Lock & Safe at 11.30. Spoke to a very friendly woman who said someone would be with us by 3.30. On the dot 2 helpful men arrived. They very soon sorted the lock and replaced parts necessary. It hasn't worked so well in years! Would definitely recommend this very local business.

Had an issue with a locked upvc door. Craig turned up less than an hour after contacting the company. After a bit of a struggle, he managed to open the door and discovered a faulty mechanism. He replaced the parts and now door is good as new. He was very friendly and informative ,and didn't mind me watching him work. All in all an excellent service and price was good. 10/10

I looked online to find window keys for old windows. Could not find any keys that had the same number but looking at the keys on their site I found some that looked similar. They keys were priced well and arrived promptly but unfortunately they didn’t fit. I would use this company again if I needed more modern keys.

Absolute legends ,called in as the rear window of my pick up had locked and i couldnt gain entry ,the chap had a go but ran out of time and called in the next morning so he could try again ,this time success ,he went out of his way to help me and waved me goodbye at no charge .....

My kids had lost a couple of front door keys and we were never given the code from the door company to order replacements. I sent 2 photos to Mark who advised it may not work but to try one. Even though I didn’t deal with them face-to-face, the whole process was so smooth. They provided the exact key I needed, and it arrived quickly. It’s clear they really know their stuff, and even through an online purchase, you can tell they care about getting things right. NOT ALL HERO'S WEAR CAPES After 8+ years of struggling with our back door we'd finally had enough, and contacted Macclesfield Lock and Safe via their website in the evening. Excellent service from start to finish. Our front door wouldn’t open as something on the latch had broken. Rang these guys and spoke to Adam who got someone to come straight out to us. Elliot was here within half an hour. Really top guy, very professional and friendly, and had our door sorted (opened and new lock installed) within another half hour. Must point out that his apprentice was also very polite, friendly and helpful! Can’t fault them at all and would recommend them 100%.

After reading such good reviews I chose Macclesfield Lock & Safe to come and look at my front door. The lock needed replaced and Elliott was able to remove it and install a new one very swiftly. He took the time to explain what he was doing, how it worked, and was meticulous in cleaning up afterwards. Me and my wife (Grace) moved into our new home on a Sunday - we rang a couple of weeks before to book in so we could get our locks changed on the Monday after we moved in. They turned up on time and were really helpful - I originally had them booked in to change locks but we also noticed that something was broken on our front door so, as well as completing all the lock changes they also checked over our front door and ordered a new part. I rang and spoke to Adam today, as our back door had locked itself shut and broken about 4 months ago during the start of Covid 19, so didn't really want anyone around to fix it, called at 2.00 pm, he was round at 4.00 pm same day, the door was opened, new lock fitted, no fuss, straight forward and honest talking, away again at 5.00 pm. Very well priced, much less than a new door! Such a relief for the cat, as she doesn't need to walk round to the front door now! Well done to all, I would definitely use again and recommend to all. Outstanding customer service this morning from these guys we had an internal door that wouldn’t open. They were here with 30 minutes. Door was opened and new barrel was fitted and the door was fixed. Elliot the locksmith was such a nice guy he knew his stuff and was really chatty which I think is important if someone is in your house. I would highly recommend Elliot and the team plus the price was very reasonable.

Agreed call out charge on the phone then was charged 20% extra when arrived, broke my key, sprayed WD40 onto my quarry tiles, tried to destroy my lock when seemingly unnecessary (thought this might be so they could charge me extra for a new one) and everything was carried out in a rush with no thought!

Just had the front door mechanism replaced by Elliott. Just to let you know he is a credit to your company in the way he turned up promptly and carried out the work efficiently. He explained the problem to me in a way that even I could understand and gave me an estimate of the work that needed doing, including the hidden extras like VAT, before he did anything of note. Very pleased with the service and would recommend you to anyone who was having problems with locks, doors, windows etc. The only issue now is that I will have to let the Mother-in-Law in when she comes round next. My door wouldn’t open and after being given a cost I asked if they could come out the same day. They agreed and were able to solve the problem by replacing the old barrel and supplying me with new keys. They were very pleasant and helpful and offered advice about my door as well as keeping me informed about what they were having to do. However I wish they had made it cleared that the price they quoted didn't include VAT.

The front door to our offices broke on Sunday evening, I called Adam who arrived within 30 minutes and not only replaced the broken lock but spent ages re-aligning the badly installed door which was the reason the lock failed in the first place. It is rare to see a true craftsman who takes considerable pride in their work to find one willing to come out on a Sunday is quite exceptional

Needed a spsre key for a Thule Topbox. Timpsons charged £5, and despite 2 tries, the keys didn't fit. Got this Company off web - 2 keys for £2.95 postfree. Arrived on time and a perfect fit. A no-brainer!

Although the service was prompt we were disappointed that the price quoted did not mention VAT. Left the quoted amount with parents who were house sitting who then had to pay the extra for us. When we called afterwards we found the vendor to be very rude.

Very good experience from initial phone call to end product

Locked out of my home office [spare box bedroom]. Called Adam who called in on his way to his office/showroom. He enthusiastically tried several techniques/methods to gain entry with visits back and to from his base. He had to eventually settle on drilling out the obsolete old lock and replacing with a new one. To his credit, Adam managed to do this without any damage to the newly painted door which has saved it being filled and redecorated. If you need a professional Locksmith, willing to go the extra mile, I strongly recommend that you contact Adam of Macclesfield Lock and Safe first!

Asked Adam to cut me some Mul-T-Lock keys and post them on to my business address. I received them within a couple of days. Excellent service and a nice guy too.
