Brilliant service, called about getting french doors secured after a break in at my disabled mother's home. Got a quick response when I enquired, completed the booking form, provided pictures. The job was assigned to Craig, who arrived within 30 minutes. He sorted out the locks and handles - he explained everything regarding the repairs, even cleaned the doors removing the forsenic power. Great service from beginning to end. I messaged via their website contact number. Arranged for someone to come out and measure up, and he arrived, measured and quoted. I accepted, the order was placed. I was kept up-to-date. Again, 2 guys arrived on the agreed data and time, installed a new large kitchen double glazed window which had been proven a week earlier and they were done. I paid there and then, paid invoice arrived a few seconds later and they left. No messing about, straight forward service, and at all time polite. I will definitely use them again for I need one of their varied services.

Our front pvc door was stuck in the frame the handle was miving but locks not releasing within the frame . We were unable to lock our front door and within 20 minutes of a call Stephen was at our house trying to resolve the issue. The part he needed unfortuantly wasn't on his van at the time as it wasn't a standard item (it was late in the evening to get the part) he was with us for atleast an hour making the door secure with parts he had and succeeded. He came back in the morning and sorted the door in 30 minutes. Couldn't be happier with the service and would reccommend to anyone. Definitely will use Lockfit again.

Stephen came in said hello and changed the locks. As he was going he made a comment that we didn’t really need to change locks and how he thought it was a waste of time. He didn’t need to make that comment. I live in a rented apartment and my estate agents and landlord are giving us a hard time by not giving us access to the garage and the balcony door has been opened for 2 months there is no key so anyone can come into our home. After 2 months we finally got the estate agent to send someone out and he left a rude comment. Not happy with them at all.

Quick service very efficient cost-effective really good all round

I managed to lock myself out of the house & needed a locksmith to get me back in. I came across a few who offered cheaper prices but with the caveat of “assuming the job doesn’t turn out to be more complicated”. Some said they’d HAVE to replace my locks. I never trust those statements, so I decided to go with Lockfit as they had good reviews, seemed trustworthy, have a physical shop & sounded respectable on the phone. The chap turned up quickly & got me back inside in less than 5 minutes. My door wasn’t destroyed, the lock didn’t need to be changed & all is still perfectly in tact. Fast, reliable, friendly, careful & worth the money. Thank you!

About 4 years ago, I got a quote from LockFit, via 'My Builder' to replace two double glazed windows which had 'broken down.' The quote was acceptable, although I didn't realise til I came to pay the bill, that the original quote didn't include VAT. Both replaced windows were fine until a couple of months ago, when I spotted that the smaller one had 'broken down.' I contacted Tony, who sent out one of his engineers to inspect and measure etc. He ordered the unit and it was fitted within the time suggested. A very pleasant and professional engineer and a good job done. I was particularly pleased to be told that the replacement was covered under the five year warranty and there was no charge for the job!

Sometimes a door you can’t open is more than just an inconvenience. Lockfit has come to my aid twice now; once when my Dad had fallen and left the latch on and we couldn’t get in and once when the door got stuck and so none of his carers could get in. Both times we spoke to a locksmith straight away and each time someone was with us within 30 minutes. They fixed the problem each time and were very reassuring.

Tony came to repair 4 window panes that had condensation between them. They didn’t take that long to remove the glass and replace them with the new ones. They then disposed of the old panes of glass for us. I definitely would recommend them!

Had these guys called by my Estate Agent. They wanted to fix the issue within hours of reporting and I myself scheduled a later date instead. Date comes, super friendly chap comes in and gets right on with it, he even gives me a choice of replacement lock! Had it all done in under 10 minutes and back on his way. He had a lovely hand made ring too, a pleasant interesting character and experience all round!

They fixed a window that had a broken latch. The window was installed by Wolverhampton glass who have now gone bust and trade under a new name See through glass! However, we had a 10 year guarantee from the insurance company and they arranged Lockfit to fix it. They fixed up a date and sent the workmen who identified the problem and within an hour bought replacement parts as the original were no longer available. He did have to leave the job with a minor fault as he was unwell. The company sent Ron who came and sorted it! All in all- job done and the window is safe again! Thanks

Brilliant service. I called after discovering I was locked out of my house and couldn’t open front door (due to key being in other side, and house having been locked by a departing tradesman who still had back door key). It was a freezing cold night but LockFit were there within 15 mins and had me in the house within another 10. Couldn’t be happier with the service. Staff who came to replaced lock was not friendly.

I have called Tony out on a couple of occasions for properties that we manage. One in particular we have had 3 locksmiths out who could not figure out the issue and we were left with an unsafe property for a number of weeks. On Tony's first call out he was able to diagnose the issue, leave the site secure, liaised with the door access contractor and returned at a later date to get the door back to a working door that locks properly! On another occasion he attended the next day and was able to fix a fire door lock for us extremely swiftly. Fantastic service, we can highly recommend him and his service.

Contacted Tony about replacing front door door handle and potential new lock. Also about back upv door catching when closing. Tony could not have been more helpful. On my initial call Tony advised can probably adjust the back door myself to sort. I did not realise that you can adjust the tilt of the door as well as the height of the UPV doors with Alan key. It took me few minutes to sort myself. Tony then visited to look at front door and advised just a new handle required and lock working fine. I asked about him fitting it and he suggested I purchase handle from shop in cotteridge as only couple of screws so could fit myself. Then would not need to charge me any labour. Would be cheaper rather than Tony fitting himself. Popped to shop and picked up handle Tony put to one side for me. Unfortunately when I tried to change handle myself the screws were too long. Tried the old screws and they were too short for new handle. I did not have tool to trim screws. Spoke to Tony again and he popped round to trim the screws for me. Really pleased with new handle. Thanks again for help. Would highly recommend to anyone needing locksmith.

I had an issue with my front door this morning where the handle kept sticking, and I was concerned it would break completely. I messaged Lockfit and got a call immediately and the door was fixed by 4pm to a high standard. Polite and professional and will definitely use again in the future.

Came to measure for 2 ultion locks and new handle and told could order and fit after the weekend, great I thought. The next day I came home and my key doesn't fit and seems a lock pin is stuck. I contact the locksmith and he says he will have to charge me £50 for entry. I tell him to cancel as I am part way through a £180 order from him, only one day after he took the offending lock out to measure. May be a case of sod's law that the lock has a stuck pin the day after measuring, but poor customer service to try to charge me for entry. The locksmith did later attend my property and left messages to the effect he would waive the charge, but by this point I had already phoned another and was on my way to a family member's house to shelter from the rain. My experience is subjective, but I feel the whole situation was badly handled and I am £35 out of pocket to the other locksmith and jaded by it all.
