Barry came out at extremely short notice on a Tuesday evening to deal with a door lock issue I was having. He was courteous, communicative and solved the problem for a very reasonable price. You often hear horror stories about locksmiths taking advantage of customer's desperation, but Barry was a complete gentleman and a professional, and I will be referring him to anybody encountering similar issues in future.

This amazing lock specialist responded to our cries for help (in Battle) within 15 minutes. A broken lock barrel on a van which was stuck in a car park was expertly fixed in record time with a new barrel and keys. Also a huge heads up to the the RAC engineer who recommended him and just happened to have parked next to us on a break! We were just about to call our breakdown service which isn't RAC... Barry rescued my dog from my locked car after I stupidly left key fob inside the car when loading my dog for a walk and closing the door -- while the fob was inside a rfid proof pouch 😬 He was responsive, letting me know when he was on the way. I contacted this technician to fix the immobilizer on my Honda Jazz. He requested an upfront payment of £85. Upon arrival, he attempted to repair the issue but was unsuccessful. He then called a colleague for advice and, after the conversation,he informed me that an additional £150 would be required to proceed, though he could not guarantee success. To my surprise, he proceeded with the same approach that had failed initially. When I asked him to try again with a different immobilizer, he declined, citing time constraints. I feel dissatisfied with the service, as I believe I was overcharged, and I also felt stigmatised because there is a client who called him during our interaction and he received a different level of attention.

He then installed a mortise lock on the garden gate as extra security. He did a beautiful installation job and in addition repaired the botched job left behind by the previous worker. This is the second time I’ve called upon Barry’s expertise. First time round was to cut & reprogram my van keys.( all work completed onsite)! Today’s call out was for my Mother in-laws car. Cars of today are loaded with so much technology & keyless engines start features. The dashboard was lit up with all sorts of information’ system failure’ , parking, and so on… What started out as a simple journey to the supermarket soon turned into a nightmare! Turned up promptly from my phone call diagnosed the problem with my vehicle and solved it all for me much quicker and cheaper than main dealer could have done definitely be using again if ever needed.

Barry is an exceptional guy to have taking care of your car keys and programming. He was able to order me a key that looked identical to my original VW key and cut it to match. The most important part was his ability to program the key/remote even with my car having a fault which rendered internal door locks non functioning. Usually programming requires functional lock buttons on the door, but Barry was able to work his magic and complete the programming so I now have a fully functional spare!! Barry is very personable, listens to his customer even when they tend to drone on a bit as I know I do and still does a great job at a good price. Will be going back to Barry for all future locksmithing needs. thank you!

We called BB Locksmith’s out because a previous ‘locksmith’ said he could fix our upvc doors which were not locking, he couldn’t, said we needed new doors and charged us £75.
