Can’t recommend Darren enough. I messaged him pretty late in the evening and he still got back to me straight away, which was really appreciated. Darren came to fix a window I had crack. From first point of contact to job done was less than a week, which is amazing as I was on a bit of a time limit with moving house. He treated my house with respect and left my house clean. He was friendly and friendly and even done moved my child lock - which he didn’t have to do. Really reasonable priced too. Highly recommend.

Darren was an absolute life saver. We were unable to open the door to our Aesthetics business with a full day of clients excepted from 9am in the morning. We called Darren at 7:15pm he answered immediately and was extremely helpful and did not hesitate to offer his help. He was clear and explained his costs over the phone so we knew how much it was going to cost before he arrived. Darren arrived onsite within 25 minutes of us calling him (which was an incredible service) and he got to work on gaining access. The mechanism had completely failed and was not turning the handle which is why we were unable to gain access. Darren fitted a new mechanism and was finished within 30 minutes. We would not hesitate to recommend Darren to anyone if you need a reliable Locksmith and we would definitely use him again if required. Darren was professional and a very knowledgeable and experienced Locksmith who we can’t thank enough for helping. Next time we need a Locksmith Darren will be the first person we call.

Darren came and gave good advice on my front door lock that was getting difficult to open mainly due to my Arthritis and not defective locking mechanism. As I thought. Darren explained very clearly the problem. With no pressure, I agreed to have the lock changed. New lock has a knob on inside to lock door, avoiding me having to a turn key. New key is square key not small round one, this makes it easier to open. Cost to change was very reasonable. I would definitely recommend Darren of Solent Locks.

I had an evening emergency with a key stuck in a faulty front door lock that had been fitted recently by another locksmith, who unfortunately couldn’t attend for two weeks. When asked, he recommended Darren from Solent Locksmiths — and I’m so glad he did. I contacted Darren after asking for recommendations on Facebook for someone to replace a blown DG unit. Darren responded immediately and arranged a day to come round to measure and price. We quickly received a very reasonable quote for the job (which included a new letter box and a door repair) and a date was arranged for the work to be carried out. Darren attended at my address today at the agreed time. He explained the workings of the new lock (with 3 keys) and answered my questions honestly. He cleaned up afterwards. Fantastic service! I accidentally locked myself out of my house. I called Solent Mobile Locksmith and he arrived 15 minutes later! This was on Sunday morning. He quickly identified the problem and gained access to my property. Bearing in mind this was a weekend call out, his fee was very reasonable. In summary I highly recommend Solent Mobile Locksmiths.

So it’s not just doors and windows that keeps Darren busy. He has just fitted a replacement “patio door” lock to our boat based in the Solent area. This lock had caused all sorts of trouble for the various marine engineers and assorted “skilled” friends. Nothing in the marine world is straightforward and we looked for Darren’s assistance after seeing many positive recommendations from “Voices for Portchester”. After 20 minutes and a few “ah ha” moments the lock was fitted and working. Cue a sigh of relief and a huge smile from me. Credit where credit is due, I got a call before he arrived bang on time and the job was completed promptly and professionally. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a skilled and effective locksmith.

called out due to a front room window not opening, and a front door handle that’s sticky. He checked them out and told us the problem straight away, he was very honest with us regarding the door handle and told us straight up that we would be best off just buying a whole new door when the time is right for us but it was our choice and he told us the price of it if we wanted it doing.
