Julian was fantastic, he dropped what he was doing and came round in less than 10 minutes. He was professional, friendly and very understanding. Had a lock changed by Jet Locksmiths and sadly this evening it broke. I called them he rocked up within 20 minutes lock changed and done within one hour. Best part was due to having them fix my lock 6 months ago I was covered under warranty and didn’t have to pay a penny. Super appreciated, thank you once again. Couldn’t recommend more!

I chose to use this company because of the excellent reviews it had on Google and CheckaTrade but I had a frustrating experience with Jet Locksmiths and wouldn’t recommend his service. Julian originally quoted me £130+VAT for a basic security lock and £170+VAT for a high-security lock, which I confirmed was to be a 3-star. I made it clear that’s what I wanted, and he agreed. I went ahead on that basis. When he arrived, he said my existing lock was a 1-star and then quoted £200+VAT for a 3-star — a price never mentioned before. He told me the 3-star wasn’t actually necessary, so I trusted his advice and went with the recommended option. I paid the invoice immediately, trusting the charge reflected the actual work and product provided. It was only afterward, upon reviewing everything, that I realised the discrepancy and that he had charged the full price quoted for a high-security product but installed the lower security lock without adjusting the price accordingly. When I questioned this later, he shifted the language — now calling the 1-star “high security” and saying 3-star was “maximum security.” These terms were never explained at the start. I had been clear I wanted the 3-star for the price quoted over the phone. I was relying on his advice in good faith, especially given this was for a front door, where basic locks with minimal anti-burglary protection are clearly unsuitable and should never have been in the conversation. To make matters worse, I’ve since found that the lock he installed is a 1-star Versa, which retails for around £5 so I was charged £165 for 20 minutes of labour. He pointed out that the other local locksmith who I had spoken to for a quote would have charged £160 for a 1-star, and said he would match their price. I didn’t want or ask for a refund — I just wanted the proper 3-star lock installation I was quoted for. But he pushed for a refund and agreed to refund the difference between the quotes which was £44. However he then backtracked again, saying he’d only refund £10 because he charges VAT and the other company doesn’t — even telling me to “contact Inland Revenue” if I didn’t like it. Completely missing the point that from the customer's point of view, I still paid more for less — and what was agreed had changed again. This wasn’t a simple pricing error. It was a string of shifting justifications, evasions, and unprofessional behaviour. I gave him every chance to put things right, but he refused to take responsibility. If you’re looking for a locksmith, I suggest going with someone who is transparent, upfront, and stands by what they quote. Unfortunately, that wasn’t my experience with Jet Locksmiths and no doubt he will reply to this review with some more evasive comments.

Whenever booking any tradesman, my main concern is about trusting those that you book as I often have no knowledge on the topic at hand and so have to entirely rely upon the expertise of that individual. Best compliment I can say, is that the chap who came round, was extremely trustworthy. Despite my concerns I would need an expensive replacement, he assured me it was a much smaller job than what I expected, he showed me the exact issue, gave me a simple to understand breakdown of cost that appeared extremely reasonable to me, and was in and out so quickly. Friendly guy, gave me a call prior to arrival just to let me know he was 10 minutes behind schedule, and so I would definitely recommend to anyone who has carried on reading what has become an essay lol

We managed to get ourselves locked out and the Mrs was in a panic as dogs were home alone!! Found Julian on Google and did an effortless job with no fuss and got us in very quick Very professional and friendly so we got him back to upgrade all the locks in our doors and would recommend every time Thanks again

After paying £450 for a joker to come round and make a right pigs ear of a straightforward lock replacement from one of these national companies, I got him to leave and took on a local expert who took 30 minutes, replaced the required parts from stock and left everything clean and tidy. Punctual, polite, trustworthy and above all actually knew exactly what he was doing. Couldn't be happier. WARNING TO EVERYONE ELSE - shop local and not one of these national companies.

Excellent service - unfortunately my back door locking system broke without warning and could not get out or in of the back door (luckily I was indoors), went to use the front door and found that did not work from the outside! Panic - found Julian (Jet Locksmith) on Checkatrade at 7.30am in the morning and he was here before 9am! So very efficient and such a pleasant and informative person. Gave me a choice of various replacement locks with no pressure to buy the most expensive! Completed all locks within the hour! also left everything tidy and clean. On Sunday I locked myself out of my house. I contacted Jet Locksmiths Ltd who quoted over the phone and arrived within 15 minutes of my contact. My lock needed to be replaced and this was done with minimal fuss. Determined not to find myself in the same situation again I asked for a quote to fit a lock box. Julian keeps these as part of his supplies and was able to supply and fit one within minutes. The service I received was excellent. Julian was professional, personable and cleaned up after himself. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this company based on my experience. Superb!

Got me booked in a day earlier than expected. Super friendly, didn't mind my toddler asking him lots of questions while he was working. The lock was totally replaced there and then! Couldn't ask for more. He also opened up the broken lock afterwards just to satisfy his and my curiosity. Would definitely book again if anything goes wrong wtih my locks.

Would have been a pricey 30 seconds to get in, but as matter of principle he checked for other issues as I had paid for an hour ... checked door alignment and fixed my lock to enable me to engage the double lock which I couldn't do before!

Really happy and thankful to Julian. I asked another locksmith to come out who was at the top of google ads, and basically they were just trying to scam me - quoting me £850 and trying to do it there and then without any agreement. I told them to stop what they were doing, luckily found Julian who told me I was basically getting scammed, and to check if they had run off with my lock and the inside parts as well - which they had! (only my wife was there I was doing this all over the phone) Julian advised me the best way to go about getting it all back from the scammers, which worked, then he came and fixed my door and did it for £205, a quarter of the price. He is now saved in my phone and I will be using him in the future. Please be careful of scammers on google ads, I would advise to scroll past any adverts and use local ones on google maps. Called them as our front door wouldn't shut and thought the lock was broken but talked it through and following their advice was able to fix it without them needing to come out. Due to their honesty and knowledge will definitely use them if we need a lock fixed in future.

Me and my Fiancé had just purchased a brand-new home and wanted to change the locks as the first thing to do. We spoke on Sunday to arrange all the locks being changed on Monday, absolutely fantastic really down to earth chap, he came in and assessed what would need to be done. Gave us plenty of options as to what we would like to do in terms of security levels for each lock and cost and had it all done before we knew it! Would HIGHLY recommend and will certainly use their services again if needed!

These guys answered their phone on a Sunday, helped us out with a door where locks were stuck on the inside frame, advised how to unlock them, no charge but were willing to come out gave us two quotes and followed it up to ensure we had sorted it. Would totally recommend them

I called Jet Locksmiths after my insurance company sent a slapstick comedy act to try and deal with my seized composite multi lock door. Since their attempts to hit the handle repeatedly with a mallet and shake the door hadn’t proved fruitful, they were out of ideas. I called on a Saturday morning and JJ was with me inside an hour. Contrary to the what the dynamic duo had told me the previous day, he didn’t have to cut through my door, or take an angle grinder to the locking points. He had the door open inside twenty minutes, did an interim fix on the mechanism and ordered a new one, which was installed today. The entire process was painless, he’s a lovely chap who clearly has a real in depth knowledge of his field, he was very nice to the dogs, and overall the price for Labour was very reasonable. Would one hundred percent use again (though, obviously, I’m hoping not to have to). Thoroughly recommended.

Julian have replaced my front door handles to auto locking ones. He gave me a quote over the phone once I've provided him with the required images about the door, he ordered the correct door handle and kept me advised re: timeline. His day was busier than he originally planned, but he kept me updated and he arrived at the updated time to replace the door handles, which he did efficiently and quickly. We are very satisfied with the result, and I have no hesitation to recommend him for locksmith jobs.

This company also known as JET LOCKSMITHS, according to the invoice arrived at my house on 29th November and they did phone to say that they were running late and would arrive not in the early afternoon as stated but around 5 pm. When I spoke to the receptionist and booked this company she definitely stated that no money would be paid and there was no call out fee and only when the lock was fixed would money be due for payment. I explained that the key was jammed in a wardrobe door and I thought the lock was jammed or broken. They they arrived they took about 20 minutes and they managed to remove the key and they told me not to put it back in so it is now difficult even to open and close the door. However the lock was not mended and they charged me a total of £95.00 plus £19 VAT and the invoice stated that this was for LABOUR. They said they would look into finding a replacement lock. I have heard nothing more so BEWARE CUSTOMERS AND CHECK THE PRICES.

First class service .Most professional,clean & tidy. Their charges are fair and this is the second time I have used them with 6 months for different locks.I recommend them.

One star for the speed of the service on attending my property to replace the gearbox Multipoint Door Lock UPVC.Be careful with A2 Locksmiths they charge £ 95.00 an hour for labour (which is fair, I do not have a problem with that) and then charged me the shocking amount of £.130.00 for Yale G2000 Series Replacement Gearbox Only Multipoint Door Lock UPVC 35mm Bset, which you can get anywhere at an average of £ 30 to 55.00.The Lady on the phone is very rude and not prepared to hear my feedback and comment, the engineer professional and corteous.

well what can I say such service. Our handle broke on our front door on Sunday afternoon. Luckily we could lock the door but it was basically out of action. Emailed Julian who responded asap to advise on how to lock the door and to discuss our problem. Today less than 24hrs in contacting him Julian turned up replaced our handles but salvaged our lock to save us any extra expense. I would highly recommend this company they are fantastic.
