Highly professional from start to finish, they really listen to what you are looking and also do their best to come in under your budget. Just had my large garden converted into half patio & half turf by MJT & I couldn’t be happier with the result. Lewis came to assess the garden area (75sq metres of patio slabs to be laid) & was very helpful with my requests. Gave me a price on the spot & emailed confirmation the same day. The team arrived on the agreed day & immediately started to figure out the best way to do the job. I explained exactly what I wanted. Charlie instantly put me at ease before the work started, explaining clearly what was & wasn’t possible. There were a couple of snags along the way, as you’d expect with a project this size. But they weren’t major. Just figuring out drainage systems etc & the best way to make it all work & James & Yanko kept me informed throughout & asked for my view point & if I was happy with their thoughts. James & Yanko were very professional & communicative throughout the entire 2 weeks here. Very friendly & very happy to make small changes as we went along. I did have a few “while you’re here” moments & Jame’s reply was always a courteous “no problem”. The guys even helped with my blind cat, who couldn’t navigate the garden with all the work going on & disruption. They would carry her to the back of the garden for me away from the mud , so she could go to the toilet & carry her back after she was finished. Nothing was too much trouble for them & I am so happy with the end result. Couldn’t recommend these guys enough.

An amazing transformation from an old patchwork garden to a beautiful, calm space. The team worked so hard through 2 weeks of rain, explaining every procedure as it happened. It was smooth and stressfree and the end result is beautiful. I would highly recommend them.

Thrilled with our new porcelain patio which has replaced some very tired old decking. MJT were so easy to work with. They had some tricky issues to contend with as we require level access, but nothing was too much trouble and they worked hard to implement a solution that worked and that we were happy with. We have had our front garden completely transformed by the MJT team and what a superb result. I can highly recommend this company. MJT provided a detailed quotation and were then happy to provide a number of tweaks to reflect our changing requirements. Some time later, the work commenced. Each aspect of the work was performed in a manner that was really of surprisingly high quality. No short cuts, just great work and a very high level of quality applied, whether it was preparing the ground, installing two soak-aways, laying borders, ensuring levels and drainage, deploying sleepers, laying a patio and then installing artificial grass and a slate landscaping feature. Just brilliant. The small team of guys, working hard each day and leaving us completely satisfied. We could not have asked for anything more, they thought of everything !!

MJT first did a full garden revonavtion for us in 2022. Mark was the only landscaper who could get a digger through our house, as we have no side access. MJT completed this project on time and to budget. 3 years on and our garden reovation still feels brand new. MJT were brilliant on my patio replacement. The same team leader (Charlie) was on site every day, answering my questions, checking in on any decisions and leaving the site tidy and secure every evening. They were able to access my garden through the back gate, electric and water access is already out there and they brought their own portaloo so they didn't even need to enter the house at all, so it was zero hassle having them there. As a solo woman it's a huge worry having contractors around your home, given their propensity for being patronising and rude - literally none of that at all with the MJT team who were a pleasure to have around. The quote stage was also great with total transparency on the line by line costs, and I could tweak the design (and see that roll through the costs) having slightly changed my mind. The 4m x 8m patio is totally transformed in only 7 working days, including all the finishing touches like filling stones around the borders and they disappeared leaving everything spotless. I would not hesitate to recommend MJT and plan to use them again for my next landscape needs.

MJT immediately stood out as the most professional by far. Lewis, who oversaw the project, initially visited the garden, took measurements, and provided an on-the-spot quote based on our desired design. His survey was extremely thorough, and he even suggested ideas to further enhance our design. Our second project was completed this morning, and we are absolutely delighted. We wouldn’t use anyone else. MJT are fantastic — every member of the team is professional, reliable, and friendly. From the office staff Mercedes and Kerry, to the construction team Scott, mick and the other guys who supported throughout, then to the management Lewis and owner mark. If you’re anything like me and have been let down in the past by poor construction work, or if you’re worried about choosing the right company because of reliability issues, pushy salespeople, messy workmanship, lack of attention to detail, or the fear spending all your time having to “hold their hand” through the whole process… look no further. MJT truly tick every box and genuinely care at every stage of the project. We were also very impressed by how both Lewis (Operational Manager) and Mark (the owner) visit throughout the process to ensure standards remain high. Having said that, the construction team are also perfectionists anyway but you can clearly see it’s part of the company culture. We can’t recommend them enough. (Just as a side note, the turf was not part of the project, the pictures attached were taken in the winter, so a little muddy from our dogs! But everything else was part of our project completed by MJT with perfection ☺️)

If I could rate them 10 stars I would, MJT Reading just finished a complete overhaul of our garden which included a new patio and turf. Every step of the process with MJT was perfect. UPDATE - MJT returned last week and rectified all the issues. They were fantastic and took the time to clarify why some bits had been done previously due to thick shrub branches, etc. They admitted that some of their initial work had not been up to their usual high standards, but it is now. Finally the reason I didn’t get a reply from MJT was because the number I was told to call was a mobile of someone who went on holiday. If I had raised the issues directly with the MJT office, everything would have been sorted sooner. I’m very happy with the work completed and both MJT and I appreciate that our communications could have been better. We would definitely use MJT again if the need arises. See updated photos below. ————————————————————————— UPDATE - The company owner has been out this afternoon to review the issues. He is a lovely guy, was very apologetic and is going to fix everything. Watch this space for a further update once snags are sorted. ————————————————————————— Nice people who did a good build for us. However given the high price we had to pay we expected better than good. They removed our old shed and replaced with a lean to. Also removed old gate and fence and fitted new. Good construction and polite people. However, after they left we noticed excess soil had been dumped in piles in the hedge. Soil and some of their debris wood had been swept over plants and up against gravel boards. Old brown painted wooden fence post was left in place and not changed, so in the run of fence it looks awful. A new wooden post at the gate has a 1cm drill hole but not from our build. Fence panel and gravel board fitted off the ground/too high. I asked for them to be corrected which they did, but they were happy with it being incorrect. They didn’t fit the latch stopper. I had to ask them to do this. They removed existing wooden sleeper to fit gate, but put it back twisted and raised off the ground at one end. I had to ask them to correct this. All gate metal fittings were fitted wonky. Attention to detail could have been better, but some corrections made whilst on site. Explained we wanted to store items on wheels in the lean to, so was disappointed that the concrete floor wasn’t to the end of the garage. They put some gravel down, but this didn’t work with wheels. They didn’t reply when we asked if something could be done to rectify it, and offered to pay, but no reply. We fitted paving slabs ourselves. On a positive note they bring a portaloo and their own refreshments, so no making drinks all day. Difficult to get a response/didn’t reply to query after the job was finished. Probably won’t use again as can’t risk slap dash approach to intended new patio and paths.

I had a patio re laid and astroturf put down. Due to the condition of the garden it required a lot of digging out but all that was done in a week and to a high standard.

I can't recommend MJT enough, brilliant from start to finish. If you are looking for a company that makes a difficult job simple, then look no further. Mark visited us initially, very nice guy who was extremely helpful. Thought out I had multiple exchanges with Kerry who kept us updated on timelines, then the guys who completed the job were professional, reliable, friendly and were perfectionists at what they do! The guys showed up (surpassingly this is the most difficult part with other companies!!) and just simply got on with the job, no hassle and kept everything tidy throughout.

It’s been over a year since MJT Landscapes had laid our patio and eco drainage system into our garden. Could not fault Mark & his two workers for their quality work they had done, including the exception customer service that Mercedes had provided at the back end of the office! A year later, the patio porcelain is still looking brand new with no additional cleaning needed. Also no more seeing flooding in our garden because of the poor drainage ability in our new built…all thanks to the eco drain and had even survived storm Ciaran and Debi! Just had Mark and team finish our front garden (walling and resin driveway) after completing our back garden 2 years ago. Yet again a great result from a friendly and professional team. Started a little later than anticipated but the length of work was completed as initially instructed and for the price originally quoted. Been a supplier to the industry for over 25 years and have noticed a few one star reviews I would believe these to be fake I have never known it all that time anyone to give this company anything less than 5 star reviews. Some of the comments about being rude and unprofessional is something they have never been.

A very appalling sense of planning and cannot communicate with their own workers properly. The owner seems to also think very highly of him self resulting into him treating his workers and even clients very rudely

Mark and his professional team completed a large project for us, covering everything from finishing drainage works, through building a stunning patio, laying topsoil, building borders, preparation and tarmac driveway to impressive gate pillars. Through out all of this, nothing was too much trouble for Mark and his team. They worked collaboratively with us to get the best design for the patio, to stunning effect and I cannot recommend them highly enough. We are very proud of our new garden and very pleased with MJT Landscapes. We would definitely use them again and cannot recommend them highly enough.

No idea if they're any good at landscaping, but if the way they drive is any reflection I'd not go near them. Just got cut up by their lorry near Winnersh Triangle careering around an s-bend and veering into my lane, forcing me to slam on brakes to avoid a collision. They then sped off, continuing to drive the lorry as if they were on a track.
