A lovely family run shop. They will help you for 10 minutes to find one bolt for 9p and be happy to do so.
Small traditional shop with with a variety of goods available. Friendly famiky run owners who are willing to give advice. Positives- if you want one screw, or a couple of raw plugs, then they are available. Negatives - limited opening hours, so check before turning up.

Fabulous place. "Open all Hours" without the attitude ( or the viscous till). Seems to have everything you might expect from a good hardware store. These are, unfortunately, a dying breed, so need to be supported.
Been there for as long as I can remember. What they haven't got there adapt. In over 35 years of using them,I think only once or twice have they failed me. Part of the westham fabric
An absolute gem of a shop they have everything you can possibly need always served with a cheery and helpful service -this type of shop is a dying breed, ignore any negative reviews from ignorant people who dont understand that local business who strive to compete against huge national businesses might from time to time have to charge pennies more for some products

Small but friendly family owned hardware store. A good selection of hand tools, fixings, hasps, brackets, door bolts, nuts and bolts also screws and nails are sold loose so you can buy as few or many as you need . They also sell other handy bits and pieces as well as plants and pet supplies. Overall I would recommend popping in if you are passing.
Paraffin is nearly £9 for 4 litres at gimbletts, even more than mega expensive B&Q, at £9 it's cheaper to heat the greenhouse by electric, which is cleaner & can be control by a timer, paraffin use to be 25p a gallon & they would bring it round to your door for that. Gimblett is a good place to go for a key, small hardware shops use to be every where like little corner shops. This is the last hardware shop in Weymouth now. There's no call for them anymore, they are a thing of the past, if you want a bucket you go to Wilkinsons & get one for a quid not pay a fiver at a hardware shop
This is the kind of shop where you can pitch up with a broken scooter and say "I know nothing of the ways of DIY, but I think I need a screw to fix this" and they will spend ten minutes finding the right bits and making sure they fit. Lovely people, lovely shop -- and the scooter is as good as new!
Excellent local hardware shop, very helpful and friendly, always have whatever items you require (including many items that you can't obtain anywhere else) and also very reasonable prices. Highly recommend and as a bonus no parking problems either.
I can only agree with other people who shop at Gimblett's hardware shop, the owners are so helpful and you can usually buy in smaller quantity than lager stores supply. Plus they do free delivery .
Always very friendly and helpful and will do there upmost to help you in any way they can, Much happier supporting our local hardware shop, than going to big retail outlets. Keep up the great work, Many Thanks
9 times out of 10 i can purchase what i need. The staff are very friendly and a browse around the shop is an experience not to be missed.
