We recently had our heat pump installed, and overall, we are extremely happy with the final result and the quality of the work. The installation took three days, and the entire team on-site was absolute lovely from start to finish. Communication throughout the process was fantastic. They constantly kept us updated on what was happening, specifically making sure we always knew which amenities (like water and heating) we would or wouldn’t have access to at any given time. We did run into one minor hitch when a small leak occurred under the cylinder, dripping into the kitchen below. However, the team handled it brilliantly. They took immediate ownership, cleaned up the mess completely, and had the issue fully resolved within a day without any fuss. Despite that small bump, their professionalism, attention to detail, and top-tier customer service really stood out. Best of all, the heat pump is already working a treat! We couldn't be happier with the service and would gladly recommend the team to anyone considering a similar setup.

I recently had an Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP) installed by this Greenhome Heating, and I couldn't be happier with the results. They did a fantastic job from start to finish! Throughout the process the team were punctual, extremely professional, and very well organised. It’s rare to find tradespeople who make you feel as comfortable and confident in what they are doing. It is early days however, the system is working well, and the whole experience was completely stress-free. Came out to replace a waste disposal. Not only was it replaced but the engineer fixed the pipe work and installed a new plug switch. Can’t recommend enough.

Engineers through my boiler insurance have made 3 attempts to fix my boiler over the last 3 weeks and failed miserably, leaving me without heat or hot water!!! In utter desperation I called Greenhome. Ivan came out the same day, he knew the problem, solved the problem and also serviced my boiler. I recently had solar panels fitted by Green Home Heating Limited and I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience. The lads who carried out the installation were absolutely amazing — not only did they do a fantastic job with the fitting, but they also took the time to clearly explain the app and how to get the very best out of my solar system. Their knowledge and helpfulness really stood out. The next day, I noticed my Pod Point had stopped working, and I initially thought it might have been caused by the work done the day before. However, the team were straight back out to help resolve the issue without hesitation. They even contacted the company on my behalf to get everything sorted. We had a nightmare situation where we moved into a new home only to discover that the boiler was already broken. With snow on the ground, we called several emergency plumbers, who confirmed that the boiler was completely beyond repair. I did some research online into the best boilers and brands and kept coming across Vaillant, which was also recommended by a friend who’s a boiler fitter. From there, I found Greenhome. They provided a clear and straightforward online quote, followed by a home inspection. During that visit, it became apparent that the existing gas pipe was the wrong size and would need replacing. Although you never want to hear that a job will cost more, Mark was incredibly helpful and patient. He took the time to explain everything properly, showed me the calculations, and clearly outlined the reasoning behind the additional work. That transparency gave me a lot of confidence. Somehow, they even managed to fit us in before Christmas. When the engineers came out, they were brilliant — friendly, professional, and happy to explain what they were doing at each stage of the install. The review is simple really: they came and delivered. We now have a warm house just in time for Christmas. 100% recommend.

I just had a heat pump installed by the team at Greenhome, and the whole experience was just exceptional. I'd initially enquired about a heat pump from a couple of other local firms back in 2023. Those experiences weren't very good--I spent ages waiting for a quote, the systems they designed didn't seem to match my house or what I wanted, and they were crazy expensive. The experience with Greenhome could not have been more different, right from the word go. Mark got back to me really quickly about setting up a time to do the survey and estimate. When he arrived, he was polite and patient with my questions and walked me through the tradeoffs of different options--I was really keen to have a system with a low flow temperature, and Mark helped me understand what that would mean in terms of radiator sizes, etc. When I decided to go ahead, they booked me in for less than a month out--much faster than I was expecting. When the time came for the install, the lads (Cal and Dave mostly) were fantastic. It was really clear that they cared about the quality of the work--little details like the insulation of the pipework were done really nicely. They were also easy to have around the house--friendly and easy to chat with, but also understanding of the fact that I was working from home as well. I usually find it so stressful to have builders in. Not so with these folks! They were so reliable and worked so hard. I thoroughly recommend Greenhome if you're thinking about a heat pump!

We recently had an air source heat pump installed. The team from Greenhome Heating were incredible. The installation was completed within 2 days and then when I was not available to be present at home to complete the app installation they came back at my convenience to talk me through how it all works and set up the app. I was really impressed and would recommend them to anyone.

Had a heat pump installed by Greenhome a year ago. Prior to install Mark was very helpful and answered many questions. We wanted a small unit in a specific location and he was the only supplier who could sort it for us. There was no disruption to our home, no radiators needed changing. One year on we are really pleased with the performance and running costs. The house was nice and warm when we hit -8 last winter. It's a good feeling not to be burning gas anymore.

We’ve recently had a heat pump and underfloor heating fitted by Greenhome heating and couldn’t be happier with what they’ve done. They came recommended through the Heat Geek site and didn’t disappoint. They were entirely onboard with our aspirations to have as energy efficient and sustainable a system as possible and did everything they could to make this happen. They were courteous, efficient, professional and responsive at all times, co-ordinating with our builder and making things as smooth as they could be given the chaos any large building project creates. And the plumbing and pipe work are a thing of beauty (!!!) done with craftsmanship and real pride in their work.

We recently had Greenhome to come and install a Vaillant heat pump at our home. They worked as a Heat Geek Elite. The Greenhome team members, Mark W., Mark M., Cameron, Connor and David, as the electrician Ian, were friendly, reliable, professional, and time conscientious, and I can only have praise for them. Their work on the pipes was very neat and tidy. I have no hesitation to recommend Greenhome in anyone is considering to install a heat pump. By the way the heat pump has so far worked a treat too and I am pleased to say that a lot of the negative comments on the heat pumps themselves you read on the internet are not true.

First time customer where I was having an issue with the boiler in my first home not turning on sometimes. Having given the symptons of the problem to the engineer, Ian, he was very informative about he'll do, what he found during examination (even showed me which was really helpful) and he got it fixed up in an hour, well worth the price. The boiler has been working great since and I'll certainly be using them again for the future, thank you very much!

Green home Hearing installed a Vaillant Air Source Heat Pump and HeatGeek Ministore water tank. Mark came around to do a heatloss survey and talked me through the service, it was clear he knew his stuff. The team that installed the unit, new radiators and heat store were professional, the work was done neatly and cleanly and they explained and consulted every decision to make sure I was happy.

I am so pleased I decided to use Greenhome Heating to install my new heat pump. I did a lot of research before finally deciding that a heat pump was the way to go. This company came highly recommended by Heat Geek and I was not disappointed. From our first contact with the company I could tell that they were experts in their field. When Mark visited us to carry out the heat loss he listened to our needs, explained how things would work and designed a superb system. The installation, which took two days was carried out by Mark, Callum and Cameron and what great lads they were. They arrived at 07:30 and worked solidly until 17:00. They ensured all our carpets and surfaces were covered and took great care. The new slimline cylinder is a work of art, Mark tucked it right into the corner of the airing cupboard leaving plenty of room for the laundry basket and towels. At the end of the installation Mark set up our app and ran us through all the controls Overall they did a brilliant job, and I couldn't recommend them highly enough.

I have recently had an air source heat pump fitted by Greenhome Heating. They were extremely professional, courteous and efficient. This big job was completed in 3 days and the quality of the work is top notch. The team were also extremely tidy, leaving very little in the way of mess and taking away any of the components of the previous gas heating system. The new heat pump (a Vaillant model) is quietly getting on with its job and the house is warm and comfortable at all times.

I've had a heat loss survey for a heat pump. You could tell mark really understands what's necessary for low temperature heating. If you see their Facebook or YouTube videos you just know they will do a good thorough job and have a system that's better and cheaper than gas. You get the price of the survey off the installation of the heat pump. Just need to convince the wife now 🤣

The staff at Greenhome Heating were very friendly and patient. Even though it was already after working hours, they responsibly answered my questions. Upon learning that my boiler had broken down, they rescheduled my order to the earliest possible time they could manage. I'm very grateful to the Greenhome Heating team. During the installation process, they were extremely diligent, taking care of every detail. They even cleaned up some glue that had dripped onto the ground outside. I'm really happy to have such a responsible and professional boiler company in the Newcastle area.

The consultation with Mark was very useful and he spent a whole morning doing a full heat loss survey. He talked us through why he chose the system he did and provided videos explaining things and was always easy to contact. They came exactly when we booked once we had planning permission and completed the job ahead of the predicted time. All the plumbers etc were respectful and left everything tidy. So far the pumps are providing plenty of heat even when it is below zero outside and windy. As this only happened recently Mark will be returning in two weeks to review things and tweak any settings. He has already sent us a video of how to use the control.

I had a fault with a cold water chiller unit. The unit was not provided by Greenhome Heating (GH) and was from another company when we remodelled the kitchen and house last year. GH were the repair professionals appointed to me by the manufacturer of the aforementioned chiller unit. Ian from GH, came out to replace the chiller unit with a new one and arrived promptly, so promptly in fact I was just about to sit down to a bowl of cereal when his van pulled up outside. After a brief discussion about the fault, Ian was straight into shutting off the water to the chiller unit and removing it from beneath the sink. He unboxed and fitted the new one in such quick time that the cup of tea I had made him was still hot and subsequently poured into his travel mug so he could enjoy it on his journey back across country. The kitchen was left immaculate by Ian and we had a good laugh during his time here. GH Customer Service kept me fully informed throughout the replacement process, so I would highly recommend them based on my experience alone.

We used Mark and the team at Greenhome Heating to replace our dead oil boiler with a brand new Vaillant Heat Pump and hot water cylinder, as well as to replace 5 radiators. The team were extremely knowledgeable, professional and approachable from start to finish, and took on our job even though we were slightly out of their normal area. They helped us understand the heat loss of the house and options available, as well as the potential constraints. In the end they designed and installed a low temperature heat pump over two and a half days. They turned up bright and early at 8am on day one, and worked hard through to 5.30 each day, only stopping for lunch because I made them! At the end of day three Mark ran me through all the heating controls, and optimised the install to get a COP of over 3. They continued to monitor the install remotely to optimise it to the house. Overall they did a thoroughly excellent job, and I couldn't recommend them more. Book them if you need to replace your heating or if you want a heat pump. Kit

The service from greehome heating has been excellent. From the detailed heat loss survey through to the finished product the standard of workmanship has been top notch as has the attitude and work ethic of the team.  From start to finish Mark and the team have been consummate professionals always polite and considerate.  The final install is excellent. I was worried how the pipes would look on the side of the house but with the white trunking it looks like it was meant to be there. If you are looking for a heat pump I highly recommend greenhome heating they are brilliant.

We decided to find a company to install a new air source heat pump. Mark came out to discuss the work and was very thorough and professional. We decided to use his Company and the work took 3 days to complete. We are delighted with our choice. Mark and his team were extremely professional, arriving bang on time each day and cleaning up afterwards. They were courteous throughout the time with us. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.

We are making an extension to our house and, as part of that, we needed to replace our entire heating system. We're off the main gas grid and we previously had an oil boiler, but decided it was time to upgrade to a heat pump. There are a lot of horror stories out there about heat pumps. Many people have had bad experiences which has resulted in a lot of negative press. So what determines the success of installation? It's not the heat pump manufacturer, although there's no doubt that some heat pumps are better than others. It's not even the quality and extent of insulation in your home, although that too is important. No, the single most important thing that will determine the success of an installation is the quality of the installer. If they know their business, if they have experience, if they have done thorough training and can determine that your house is suitable for a heat pump, you will get a good, working heating system. That's all well and good, but how do you find a decent installer? A lot of installers may appear good, but how can you actually know that they'll do quality work? How can you be sure they're not just going to bung a heat pump in that will ruin you financially and wreck your heating system? It's a big investment and a lot of upheaval, you need to be confident you have found the right person. I did extensive research before selecting Greenhome Heating as our installer because i wanted to be able to ask probing questions to weed out the cowboys and charlatans. However, you don't need to be an expert in heat pumps to get a good system, you just need to have confidence that your installer is. Heat Geek provides an excellent training and certification system for heat pump installers, and as of the time of writing this review, Greenhome Heating is the only installation company in the North East to receive their Elite accreditation. Mark is clearly passionate about what he does. He has a professional curiosity about heating systems that translates into a careful attention to detail for system design. He also has a solid work ethic and is highly responsive. He patiently answered the many, many questions I had prior to installation. He went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure we were happy and confident with every aspect of system design. When the system was eventually installed we met the rest of the Greenhome Heating team. As a group, they were friendly, polite, incredibly hard working, and obviously knew their trade. As we're doing a lot of work on our house at the moment we've regularly got other tradesmen coming and going, and several have commented to me that the quality of the pipework and overall installation is top-tier. The system has been running for about a month now. Overall, it has been excellent. The indoor temperature is pinned at about 20 degrees, which is much more comfortable than a traditional thermostatic control as those tend to cause large heat fluctuations within the house. The running costs are also far lower than we were paying previously, which is a direct consequence of the quality of the system design (although we really need to run it for at least a year or more before we can draw any firm conclusions about running costs). A great heat pump installed badly will result in a bad system, even in an insulated home. That is not the case here. We've had a couple of very small snagging issues, but even though the installation is complete and the final invoice has been paid, Mark continues to be responsive and actively engaged. He told me at some point during the planning phase that Greenhome Heating likes to look after the systems they install. Evidently, that is true. If you want a quality heating system, speak with Mark. It really is that simple.

Contacted Greenhome heating with a couple of plumbing problems and 3 hours later, Cameron arrived, spot on time. He quickly got to work and after a short time problems fixed. The work was carried out very efficiently and competently. I would deffo recommend them for any future problems. 10/10 As they say, Does what it says on the tin.

Mark and the team came out and moved my boiler from an upstairs bedroom to the garage, the guys did the job in one day which I was super impressed with especially as they’d initially told me it could take up to 3 days. They were so friendly, professional and courteous as I was working from home. Excellent service 👏, Ian was the man that came out, from the moment I opened the door he asked is it easier to come in from back door, said it was OK to come through the house ,he put shoe coverings on, He was very friendly and explained everything, I was thinking of going for a cheaper boiler cover ,doubt there is a one cheaper , But decided to keep the plan cover we have as I know if we have a problem they will be straight out .

Cameron arrived bang on time. He carried out the job in a professional, courteous, friendly and tidy manner. He took special note of our requirements and has not only replaced the radiator but also took time to fully vent the system which is now working even more efficiently than before. Their hourly rate is reasonable and part hours are charged in 20 minute intervals which avoids any feeling of being ripped off!

Cameron quickly identified it would be better to replace my leaking tap with a new one, he then ordered, went away and returned with a new one. There was still some issues with the current piping when fitting the new tap, Cameron kept me updated on progress and quickly had new tap fitted. Cameron tidied up after, taking away old tap including any extras. I used Checkatrade to find a local plumbing firm who could install six new radiators for me. I chose Greenhome. They came and provided a quote which was similar to other quotes. They were very knowledgeable and respectful of my property, wearing overshoes. They are very professional, personable, friendly, reliable and tidy. They are very hard working too. There were a couple of issues which arose, one beyond their control and they were very apologetic and had excellent customer service and had no hesitation honouring another issue. They text reminders and notify you of when they are on their way and are very tidy and take rubbish away. They ensured all the balancing worked before departing. They also serviced the boiler. A couple of weeks later they installed a new Hive thermostat. Again excellent friendly and professional service. They also resolved an issue with a toilet. I would have no hesitation in recommending them and will definitely use their services again should I need a plumber.

Another excellent job from Mark and Cameron from Greenhome Heating. I had found that some of the valves were sticking on my radiators which was stopping the Hive TRVs working. Spoke to Greenhome and they were out a couple of days later to drain the system, replace the faulty valves, and refill and bleed the system. Carpets were covered and protected throughout the house and everything was spotless when they left. Turned up on time and got on with the work. Would absolutely recommend to anyone needing work done in the area.

Got Greenhome Heating details through Checkatrade and they responded to my query really quickly. I arranged for them to call the next day to carry out a service on my boiler. Whilst the engineer was there, I asked if he could look at the water temperature as it didn't provide much hot water. The engineer identified the problem really quickly, sourced a part and installed in an hour. Suffered with intermittent problem with system pressure and having to re pressurize daily which became twice daily. After a recommendation for Greenhome an appointment was made. I had a full service from them where the problem was identified to the PRV in the boiler. This was sorted and happy days the problem was fixed. I would have no problem recommending them to anyone and will now use them for an annual service for complete peace of mind.

Professional and quality work. We are so happy with the quality of work we have used Mark and his team since 2017. Initially Mark visited very short notice and fixed our old boiler. Later he talked us through the best choice of new heating system for our property. His team now annually service our boiler and have installed a new shower and sink taps.

I found Greenhome Heating via Checkatrade and enquired about replacing damaged radiator pipe (bloody dog!)... I then received a call from their office (Debra) and had the job booked in for the very next morning - all within 30 mins! I received a text in the morning confirming Mark was on his way (on time) which was a nice touch. Mark was friendly and sorted my issue within 25 mins leaving no mess either. I've since had a couple of quotes sent through from Checkatrade for around 10/15% less than the price I paid, but GHH were quickest off the mark and in my opinion, worth the small premium for the quality of work and efficiency I seen. Mark couldnt have done more beforehand to make sure we had everything correct before coming, ensuring we were aware of what flooring / cladding we wanted even pointing out one of the choices we picked looked different in person that it did on the website (thank god he pointed this out!), work was all done when we were out of the house at the caravan all done inside a week. Cant thank mark and the team enough for giving us the bathroom we've always wanted at an extremely reasonable price in comparison to large local bathroom companies.

Just had our boiler serviced again. you cant really go wrong with green home heating there polite and prompt and nothings too much trouble. Ian came round this time fantastic lad no mess and a joy to chat with.

We needed a really awkwardly positioned bath tap replacing. They were able to come within a few days of us calling and did the job with no problems. Great service and really quick. Would definitely use again if we need anything else.

Excellent service as usual by Greenhome. Ian arrived bang on time and was able to complete the refitting of our cast iron radiators without any issues despite our newly fitted floor presenting an access challenge to the pipe work . Tidy, professional and friendly service with Ian going out of his way to ensure he could refit without having to have an above the floor visible join. Very happy with the result and service received.

My job entailed the removal of 3 radiators before decorating, and rehanging new ones afterwards. Following an issue with the initial engineers, all was addressed and resolved by Mark (the owner) who prides himself on the standards that he sets for Greenhome, in the hope that his customers are completely happy with his service and workmanship. My concerns were handled professionally and thoroughly, which is rare these days. Hence 5 stars.
