Reviewers of MC Plumbing & Heating often describe the team as tidy and professional, with several saying they cleaned up and tidied rubbish. The quality of workmanship is repeatedly praised, including for bathrooms, wet rooms, boilers, radiators and full heating systems. Some reviewers say the team was clear in explaining what was needed without technical jargon, and one says they kept to schedule and were flexible when plans changed. A few reviewers mention advice given with their best interests in mind, and one reports that several other fitters would not take on a wet room tray installation that MC Plumbing & Heating completed. One reviewer reports helping to fix major problems caused by poor workmanship from another plumber. A single reviewer mentions apprentices being trained, and another describes Matt and the team as a pleasure to have in the house.
Really brilliant service from Gemma and Matt. As a complete newbie to renovations, they were supportive, clear and communicated all the way through. The quality of their team and subcontractors was brilliant. I expected mess and chaos for weeks, but the teams were really professional. The design done by gemma is great - adjusting to feedback and budget, I would never have come up with such a creative use of space thay feels really high quality. Time to save up to do our next bathroom with them 😁.
We set Matt & Gemma an incredibly hard project to complete in a very limited time due to my hip operation date in the first week of November. They and their team pulled out every stop and we had the most amazingly beautiful wet room completed in time. They even put our bedroom back in order while my husband drove me to the hospital. I can’t thank them enough for being so responsive to what was a pretty late request from us. Everything from the initial planning through to little extra artistic extras, was done with such efficiency, skill & expertise, by a team of tradesmen who were all so friendly and determined to get it complete in time. I can’t thank them enough and look forward to my shower each morning, less than a week since surgery.
Gemma, Matt and the MC team responded to an urgent request to turn a tired conventional en suite into a wet room. The space was small and there the design important. Gemma designed a contemporary layout that is both functional and works well. Matt, Nick the tiler and the rest of the MC team went out of their way to ensure the work was completed to the highest quality and in time for the return of my wife from her hip operation. I was so pleased with the service we received that the MC team that I asked them to replace my ageing boiler and to carry out the annual servicing.
Matt, Gemma and their team were fantastic. 100% reliable, clean, tidy and efficient. They were always flexible to changes in schedule. I trusted their advice and judgement, always given with our best interests in mind. I have used many trades and contractors over the last 12 months on a complicated renovation, MC Plumbing and Heating were by far the best and most professional of the lot.
Matt and his team are the kind of tradesmen you wish you could find but too rarely do. Knowledgeable and willing to take on challenging jobs and to go the extra mile. A pleasure to have in the house as well. Great too that Matt is committed to training apprentices; we need these skills to be transmitted to younger plumbers or our housing stock will be in big trouble. Thank you Matt, Kieran and Max. See you again!
Matt and his team have done a wonderful job on our renovated cottage, fitting full central heating, kitchen, shower room and bathroom. Reasonably priced and providing work of the highest quality. A well organised team and a pleasure to have around. Much appreciated.
Professional and cost effective. Has the breadth of experience for all areas of plumbing. Has undertaken work on behalf of a number of clients and always come up trumps. Would definitely recommend the him.
Matt fitted our new boiler and oil tank. Extremely efficient, reliable and excellent work all round. I completely recommend him to anyone needing a new boiler.
Matt and his team helped with a full downstairs renovation of our property, including moving a boiler, installing necessary plumbing for a utility, kitchen, island, plus placement and installation of several new radiators. The team also helped advise on some suitable upgrades to existing pipe work to maximise overall effectiveness of the central heating. As a sub project within this, we also ended up needing to replace an existing show tray where the team installed a wet room tray and fully tanked the area. Several fitters wouldn’t take this on, but we are delighted with the result. Quality of workmanship is excellent, and Matt and his team were a pleasure to deal with. Couldn’t recommend enough.
MC Plumbing and heating are a first Class professional outfit. They were punctual, professional and described what was required in plain English not using technical jargon. They were very clean, tidying any rubbish the work created. No hidden costs and a good price for the work that was done. So much so I will be getting them back to quote for my new bathroom
We have been using Matt for number of years, cannot recommend more highly! We have had various repairs and annual boiler services, work always carried out to very high standard, very tidy and affordable. Would not use anyone else and such a nice guy!

MC Plumbing and Heating, have been my 4th emergency service. Whenever I have needed their support to fix an problem, no matter how big or small. They never fail to deliver. I have now used them to replace my oil boiler.
I came across Matt during Covid. He fixed my old boiler and helped me limp along with it until I was ready to buy a new one. He’s top notch. A great local plumber who does small and large jobs with the minimum of fuss and leaves your home exactly as he finds it. I can’t rate him highly enough. Very personable and knows his stuff. He can also signpost you to other credible businesses for any additional requirements such as bathroom companies. Thanks Matt!
Matt is meticulous, reliable and communicates excellently - has never let us down. He has done both emergency as well as planned plumbing work for us and we have always been delighted with his service.
Matt goes above and beyond to make sure his customers are happy. He has fitted a new boiler and radiators for us and always delivered excellent service but has also been incredible in helping us address major issues we’ve faced from poor workmanship from another plumber. I really can’t recommend him highly enough. I’d give him 6 stars, if I could!

We upgraded our boiler and heating system to something that fits our family and it works a treat the team really know what thay are doing and any questions we had were answered! Reliable and efficient would definitely use again and strongly recommend!! Thank you team MC 👍
Matt and his team have done a wonderful job on various projects in our house. From installing bathrooms, plumbing a kitchen and utility room to addressing issues with a boiler and underfloor heating system that was installed by other plumbers / builders. His work is always of the highest quality, and he insists that things are done right rather than taking the easy route. His pipework is always exceedingly neat and thoughtfully laid out. I would highly recommend Matt, Kieran and and the rest of his team from MC Pluming and Heating to deliver a top quality product with the care, attention to detail and expertise that is so hard to find these days.
