A leak was found in the boiler so the engineer wrote everything down clearly for me to ring the manufacturer to get a repair. Subsequently it wasn’t serviced so I’ve paid a call out charge.

We tried the heating which didn’t work, just before a holiday! The Engineer visited that day as there was a cancellation and the work was completed as soon as we returned. For my current project they have installed 4 air conditioning units inside my barn conversion all running off one outdoor unit. Engineer called Monday to address a hot water issue, same day quote to repair but given the age of the boiler was not cost effective. They managed to come out again to give us a quote to replace the boiler, all of which was done on the same day. They then managed to fit us in on Wednesday to swap out the boiler, as we had very unreliable hot water. Fantastic service all round, thank you very much!

Didn't provide any paperwork after servicing boiler and gas fire, and ignored several email requests for formal written acknowledgement that service had taken place and that appliances were in satisfactory condition.

The company completed the gas safety certificate for my rented property. It is the first time I had used the company. They were able to find an appointment the following day. The tenant was really pleased with the engineer describing him as lovely , professional, thorough and on time . I received the invoice quickly and the cost is very reasonable. When I need any other work I will definitely be contacting them and only wish I’d found them years ago

My oil boiler wasn't working & I called them in to look at it , the first engineer said it was the timer not working & said would replace it , someone else came back and fitted a new one , but boiler was still not working. He said would speak to his colleague , as he was not sure how the electrics worked on it. After waiting some time I rang them back & they said thinks it was an electric problem, could try and search up to a max of four hours , but could not guarantee they could fix it. They then suggested we should have a new boiler . We contacted another company who have fixed it & it was not an electrical fault . We have been charged a call out charge of £75 & was not happy with there service

Following the installation of a Vaillant aroTherm 10kw heat pump at our house I can highly recommend Gas Service Ltd having received excellent service throughout. From the initial survey in which Adam suggested an installation that three national companies hadn't mentioned when saying they couldn't provide me with a heat pump to the final handover. The work started promptly on the arranged day and we received good communications from all members of the team. They coped well with a couple of unexpected problems not of their making towards the end of the work and left the site clean and tidy. The result is impressive - a warm house, unobtrusive boiler constantly operating in the background, potentially great savings from reduced energy use and the end of our gas consumption.

A fantastic and super friendly company and we cannot recommend them enough! We called before 9am Monday morning as we'd been without central heating and hot water over the weekend. The phone was answered promptly and by a very lovely, friendly lady who was incredibly helpful! (I'm so sorry I didn't catch your name). Knowing we had a small baby and preschooler, she moved things around for us to help get someone out to us the next day. However within the hour, she called back to say she could get someone to us the same day. And within a few hours, the wonderful Ryan arrived. Oct.24 Another year and my boiler, which is not new!, has not broken down. I had a service done this week by Gas Service Ltd who turned up on time as usual and checked my gas boiler over. I am sure it is working so well because this company maintains the equipment to perfection. I can strongly recommend them!

As a happy repeat customer of Gas Service over several years, I have to say I was disappointed on this occasion. The initial quote, when it arrived, included prep work that I had already carried out myself. Having got the quote amended and reduced accordingly, I deliberately arranged a 12 noon appointment because I knew I’d have to completely empty my garage beforehand ( a 2 hour job) in order to provide access to the back wall, where the work was to be carried out. The engineer actually arrived at 2.15pm and then only after I’d phoned the office to chase the matter up. As a result the work wasn’t completed until well after 5pm. I then had to reinstate the contents of my garage in a major rush in order to be ready (just in time) for a pre-arranged evening out. On the plus side, the work was carried out to the usual high standard and all waste and debris was removed, leaving the area clean. It’s a pity that, for the reasons stated, I’m unable to leave my usual 5-star review this time.

As always - very quick response and were able to attend my property the very next day with the new parts needed to fix our heating - Much appreciated.

My gas central heating boiler stopped working in January, very cold weather. These people came out very quickly, could not find the fault first time as it was working when the engineer Adam came, but he told me if it goes off leave it in a fault state and phone again and he will come asap to try to fix it. Went off again an hour after he left, I phoned and he came back first thing next morning. He was very good, ordered new parts and came to fit them a few days later. No problem since, working fine now. Great company and great service. I will stay with them for my annual gas service now.

He's used them for years and raves about their excellent service, so I decided to give them a try. Being local was a definite plus! From my initial contact, I was impressed with their professionalism and outstanding customer service. They were prompt and courteous, and Ryan arrived exactly when scheduled. Boiler service, efficient, punctual, I mentioned that the boiler pressure was rising about 0.1 bar per day. Engineer Adam checked and advised the filler loop was faulty and as it was in warranty to contact Worcester Bosch to arrange a replacement. Called WB this morning and appointment booked for tomorrow. Dec 2024: 2nd Review, again can't fault the team again. I airlocked my oil line and was given advice about how to sort it from Donna. When it didn't work Donna got Ryan out the next day who cleared a sediment blockage and we were back up and running. Great advice from the team and all very helpful. Sept 2024: Superb. Would highly recommend. Adam and the team were great. Very prompt in providing a very competitive quote for replacement of an oil boiler. Able to talk through the work, explaining risk and providing options. The team who completed the install were helpful, considerate and tidy. Work was completed to a high standard and on time. The engineer Adam visited to mend a leak on a radiator. He was professional, polite and very efficient, the problem was rectified in about 25 minutes. Adam had attended before about another problem with the same radiator. Adam charged us a reduced callout charge,which we really appreciated. This company is excellent, they installed our boiler a few years ago, and carry out the service check each year. Can't fault them, top quality engineers and an extremely reliable Company.

Definitely was this company (please do not deflect) used this company 'gas service' for a long time up until the start of this year where they invoiced us twice for the same job. They originally came to fix a faulty valve on a radiator. The guy who came thought he fixed the issue and all he did was unstiffen the valve and attach it back on and it wasn't working. We explained this to them in email and asked them to come back. We had another visit from them where they finally actually fixed it but they still invoiced us twice even though they never actually fixed anything the first time around. We disputed this several times with DONNA and they have refused to resolve this and still have an invoice for us for the time where they didn't actually fix anything? Suffice to say we have found someone a bit more honest.

This company still maintains the very high standards as I posted on my last review.I cant speak highly enough of them from initial contact to appointment/call out and full boiler repair.Contacted as I use them for all boiler matters and my boiler broke down. I am on LPG and as such required an LPG certified engineer.Appointments were juggled to get someone out the same day as calling(Adam).He identified the problem which was a broken fan-new part ordered and fitted within the following 2 days. Professional, honest and informative.As I said I cannot speak highly enough of all my dealings with this company.Highly recommend.

Excellent service from initial quote from Adam, to Chris & Shaun completing the work. Chris arrived early and set about dismantling the old boiler working in very confined space in our loft, he worked hard all day with no break. Shaun set about the work on our radiators changing some and fitting some new ones. Both were very pleasant and polite workers. Would certainly recommend.

The photos show the installation of a pipe from an outdoor oil tank, into the property. This has been an ongoing dispute over three years between two elderly pensioners who have complained about the smell of oil inside the house. Gas Services have informed the couple that they are not responsible for the smell of oil inside the house. The quality of their installation, shown in the photos shows the poor standard of pipework. I think Gas Services need to look how to install at 90 degrees, so there is not pressure on the joints. Trading Standards are now investigating this and it is also under review from OFTEC who regulate oil burner installations. REPLY to Gas Services comment: Adam, these are how Ryan (the installer) left the pipe work! No other people have installed or changed the pipe work, so please inform me who is responsible for this pipe work?

5 stars all round, our boiler gave up the ghost and after one phone call all booked in and replaced within a few days. Hayden was so efficient and knowledgeable that he had our new system in and up and running the same day. The office staff really helpful arranging timings and parts. Big thank you guys J & D. We have had our central heating serviced by Gas Service for a number of years. They are pro-active in that they have renewed boiler parts before we have noticed any issues. Their service engineers are polite, work carefully and leave things clean at the end of the work. Adam Critchlow who attended our most recent service is a regular, who is both friendly and efficient. New wall thermostat fitted under the terms of the service plan.

Very happy with our new water tank and shower installed by Chris and Sean, it has greatly improved our lifestyle compared to our old system, and the new super insulated tanks is so much more efficient in running costs. From contacting Gas Service Ltd and initially getting a quote to the finish of the job was extremely efficient, and we are really pleased with the work done and the price we paid. Highly recommended. I needed a new boiler, but it wasn't a straightforward swap due to the location, pipework and existing water store. Adam explained to me the logistics and my options for replacement. At no point did he try and upsell and I feel like the price paid was a fair one (I had 4 quotes). Very impressed with the engineers doing a 10 hour day to get the boiler in so that my family had heating and hot water again (it was the middle of winter). I shall be having them back to service the boiler each year.

Chris, Justin & Pete did a fantastic job taking our Old Dunsley back boiler out of service, (which had sprung a leak) and installing a LPG boiler to do the job of central heating and hot water. The new boiler fitted out of sight in an existing wall cupboard. They left NO mess, the only way we could tell they'd been in, was we're really warm again. Then one month later Craig turned up to Powerflush the system. This went like clockwork. The gas cost is just over half what we'd pay for Coal & Logs in a month, and no ash to take out, so it's win, win all round.

After using multiple times over the years for boiler servicing and having the gas capped off in my kitchen, I had the lads at Gas Service Ltd relocate our pressurised water and heating tanks - which they moved from an awkward location in a cupboard upstairs into my choice of location at the back of the garage. They went above and beyond to keep everything neat and tidy - unpicking the absolute mess of wires and pipes the original builders had just thrown in - and managed to relocate whilst keeping everything under the floor/in the ceiling with absolutely no disturbance to any of the surrounding rooms or the garage itself - despite this being an absolute nightmare to achieve. Absolutely first class service, did exactly what I asked and advised on best routes to take etc - even cleaned up afterwards, so zero mess too Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or use again!

I have used Gas Service for 20 years for GSI and installation in rental properties. They are reliable and professional and easy to deal with. I wouldn’t use anyone else.

Had these cracking lot out for service on my boiler and did good job but fair play to the engineer who found a big fault with it and shut it off, safety first which is deffo a must, but instead of...oh need a new two grand boiler, which most would try there luck with, not this gas service, it's we'll do our best to fix and the engineer did. Brilliant service highly recommend. Very reasonably priced aswell.

I first dealt with Gas Service Ltd about 5 years ago when they dealt very promptly, efficiently and cost effectively with the installation of a new Worcester Bosch gas fired boiler in a rental property belonging to me. The company has since carried out the annual servicing of that boiler and the issuing of the required Landlord's Gas Safety Certificate. 1 Year ago the company dealt with the installation of a new Worcester Bosch oil fired boiler at my home address. The installation was carried out by Steve and Sean. Their work was very neat. That boiler has just been serviced by Ryan who took the trouble to call me when he was on his way to my home to advise that he would be slightly delayed due to traffic problems. That call was much appreciated. I have always felt comfortable dealing with any representative of the company and would have no hesitation in recommending them and their services to others.

Gas Service installed a Worcester Bosch LPG boiler in our loft just over three years ago and their service engineers have carried out the annual servicing to date. We were very pleased with the quality of their workmanship and have found all of their staff to be very professional and concientious. We had no hesitation in recommending Gas Service to a family member recently when they needed a new oil fired boiler. When our boiler developed a problem a few days ago, Adam came out promptly, quickly diagnosed the fault, made a temporary repair and arranged for Worcester Bosch to come out to fit a new part under the warranty. Very pleased with the service all round.

Extremely disappointed! Gave poor advice to use Sentinel X800 and charged us £70 for a short visit to put it in, plus £29.99 for one litre, when you can buy it from Screwfix for less than half that, or online for just £7. When it didn’t work, refused to do anything about it except quoting us an extortionate rate for an engineer to investigate further of £450 per day!! We cleared the blockage ourselves instead – for nothing!

Remarkable company Woke this morning to the boiler not working and showing an error message. Reset it, and the hot water worked in the shower 30 minutes later went back to the boiler and could hear water dripping. Stripped the storage units out around the boiler to find water everywhere.... and the units sodden.... . Stone Gas Services carry out a service our boiler each year, hence, phoned up at 8am to see if they could assist with the emergency. Spoke to Chloe... who was amazing... By 9.30 an Engineer was on site and found the issue, (pinhole in one of the plastic parts) turned the boiler cold water feed off, so that there was no more damage. Within the hour Chloe had found a replacement part and organised it being sent. An Engineer will be back tomorrow morning to fit the part. Can't thank you enough Chloe for how you handled our situation and resolving it so quickly. Thanks to SGS for being there when we needed them most. WOW! What an amazing experience with Gas Service Ltd from start to finish. Adam and his Team Sam, Ross, Shaun and Ryan were fantastic, old boiler replaced new LPG Worcester Greenstar 8000 system and 16 new Apollo Roma radiators installed with a new Hive control system. Nothing was too much trouble, the guys worked over 4 days to deliver to deliver an outstanding finish working efficiently with no mess, clean as you go. Great service came when they said they would professional staff

In February Homeserve, a company I had previously chosen to cover my boiler, visited to honour a service that was owed from an expired policy, it had been delayed due to Covid. After 10 minutes I was told that they would have to cut the gas off as there was a pin hole in the duct pipe, but they wouldn’t rectify it as I was now out of policy and they left. This resulted in me having no heating, no hot water or cooking facilities other than a microwave. I battled with them for 8 days to try and get it sorted as other engineers told me there was a 2-3 week wait. A friend then mentioned she used Gas Services limited and that they were great. I spoke to Donner in the office and although they had no availability for a couple of weeks, due to my situation and me being very upset, she arranged for an engineer to call between jobs to take a look. The engineer who came then worked with Donna to rearrange jobs and get the required part and they came the following day to do the repair and service my boiler. Both Donna and the engineers that visited my property were not only extremely helpful, they were also very professional and really pleasant to deal with. The engineers that visited me on both days were professional, polite, tidy, helpful and considerate. I was so appreciative of their help and assistance and the they were very reasonably priced. I cannot thank Donna and the engineers enough. Great service.

Another great job today when Ryan fitted a new shower pump. Advice on the new pump was 'spot on' and full compliance with requirements of Covid 19 during the installation. Gas service are my 'go to' company for heating and plumbing. I have no hesitation in recommending this company.

Tried ripping man dad of who is an oap saying needs a new boiler which would cost over £3000 as they said would not be able to get parts for mine and i got a second opinion which was a professional and said the boiler was safe and nothing dangerous about it and they could get the part and would cost me £80 avoid at all cost out to rip you off tell you nothing put lies you been warned conman

Had a boiler replacement from Gas Service Ltd. Initial inspection was very thorough and price very competitive especially considering additional work to replace valves in the airing cupboard. We did have a few issues - an untraceable leak somewhere in the house gas pipework after the install which eventually meant we required new piping to the cooker and gas fire (our cost). But, these things can happen on older pipework (there was a minor pressure drop before the installation started). Despite the issues, the reason I'd recommend them was that the boss, Adam, got involved when necessary to either sort things out, or apologize, i.e. when there was a major issue, or a delay (one of the dates was cancelled due to a covid isolation). He obviously cares about the business and its reputation, and that shows in how he treats his customers. We have also been offered a free service next year as compensation for some of the disruption.

I have used Gas Service for both home and my business premisses and have always been happy with their work, but this week they excelled expectation. My wife is currently critically ill at home and needs to be kept warm. The boiler started to fail just as the coldest weather of the winter arrived. Was a little nervous of getting our boiler replaced and moved. It was a fairly big, expensive job, the days are getting colder, and there's more than a little something in the air these days. We got three quotes, all similar, but from the first visit, to various phone calls, and the job being done, Gas Service were friendly, knowledgable, and efficient. On the day, Sam was a legend, cracking on and doing a number of jobs with very little disruption at all. We were conscious that we couldn't stay elsewhere due to lockdown, but he was extremely careful and respectful of space, made so much less noise and mess than I expected, and the job was done to high standard, well within the agreed timescale and budget. Our old system was such a mess, that Sam's attention to detail and neatness really stands out, and we're very pleased with the outcome. I've no doubt that this quality represents the company as a whole, look forward to using them again, and would recommend without hesitation.

Were all companies as efficient as this one we would have nothing to complain about.😊😊 We had a leak coming through the ceiling immediately below our cold water tank in the loft, as you can imagine we were quite concerned. Within 40 minutes of telephoning on Monday morning, Adam was here to check it out. He discovered a leak in a joint, checked it was safe, and came back to repair it this morning. I have used this company for servicing our boiler for many many years, and never had a hint of a problem with them, they are a great bunch of guys. My gas booiler, always serviced by the company, was getting increasingly unrleliable due to its age. In particular Adam did what he could to keep it going, but ultimately I had to admit I needed a new one quickly in the cold weather.. He advised me and then organised it immediately, and next day Steve came and installed it with great efficiiency. I now have a happy warm home and a more economical boiler! A very reliable and professional company that I am happy to recommend.

Parts were ordered and a fitting date was planned, only a couple of days after the initial inspection. excellent service and great communication from Ryan with an explanation of how to maintain the boiler moving forwards. When the programmer failed on our system a call to Gas Service Ltd resulted in a visit from Ryan who arrived on time and had the correct replacement on his van. 30 minutes later we were "up and running" once more. Thanks to all concerned.

Ryan as usual did an excellent job and more; he explained the results of his test of our boiler in full and what they meant and how best way to adjust the pressure if needed and the consequences of having too high a pressure. And it wasn’t just head down by Ryan we enjoyed his company.

Gas Services Limited - fast, efficient, friendly and good workmanship at good prices. Last year when my elderly mother’s boiler failed in a cold snap, a fix was urgently required. The company that serviced her boiler could not visit for 3 weeks so I contacted Gas Services. Later the same day an engineer arrived and repaired the boiler. Additional work was required, and soon after a failed condensate pump was replaced after the new unit had been delivered from Scotland. Since then there have been no issues with this boiler. Last week, my wife and I had an issue with an ancient boiler, again during a cold spell. I called Gas Services Limited and later the same morning an engineer looked at what was required to fix the boiler. We decided to look at getting a new boiler. Later the same day, we received a comprehensive quotation at a very reasonable cost and asked for the work to be done urgently. The next day a new boiler was installed and commissioned. We are very pleased and would recommend Gas Services Limited.

First time customer needing call out on Christmas Eve to fix a leaking boiler. Engineer came out on the same day and found the problem. Despite it being Christmas Eve and parts to be ordered, I then had an engineer back with new parts within 1 working day to solve the leak issue. Could not recommend highly enough. Very reasonably priced, friendly and professional engineers and very helpful office staff kept us informed of attendance and quotation. All in all, a superb service.

This is the second time we have used Gas Service in the last year, both experiences have been excellent. This time we had a very informative meeting with Adam before going ahead with the installation of a new unvented hot water cylinder. We went to Gas Service Ltd following a bad experience with some plumbers who turned out to be a scam. They couldn't be more helpful and considerate of our situation, and did an excellent job of fitting our new boiler correctly. Will definitely use them again in the future! Highly recommended.

Six months after they installed my boiler Gas Service will not remedy an issue with an air lock in the system. They came out twice and now have washed their hands of the problem saying they can’t fix it and I’ll have to live with it. Shocking customer service after paying over £4K for a new boiler. The fitters are helpful, but the owner is a waste of time.

Excellent Company. Having discussed having a new boiler installed with my partner earlier this year, we decided on Gas Service Due to the excellent work they undertook for us in fitting an outside tap at the start of summer. Not only were they able to guide us in the right direction to which boiler was best for us, they also offered us a variety of payment options, and a care package. Installation was prompt and professional (the engineer even took his waste away with him!) To top off an excellent experience, we have had two phone calls from the business owner since to check everything is as it should be. Would not hesitate to recommend this company.

Cannot rate Gas Services highly enough, got rid of the old storage heaters and they came and did a full gas install, boiler and radiators all round in an old black and white cottage. Pete & Chris worked hard every day they were here & problem solved how to get the heating pipes in to the listed building. Gave us a constant update of what they were going to do and where, impeccable service and a great price. We will certainly be calling them back when we need another job doing. Thanks guys :-)
