I recently had Peter and David fit a new 150L cylinder and remove my old one. They were excellent from start to finish — communication was clear and friendly, the price was fair and they worked efficiently and professionally. MP&H are a disgrace. I needed my central heating flushed through to remove all contaminants and they were negative throughout as I have small bore pipework. In short they carried out a lazy flush through of the system and charged me £530 for 4hrs work which didn’t resolve the problem. Nor did they provide a solution. I have sent them numerous emails without a single reply. They have then rang me to argue about the works. The solution apparently is to replace my radiators at a cost of £4000 (text quote) but if this does not work I may then need the pipework replacing. I have asked them for a solution to a probable issue and they will not engage on this. DO NOT USE! Photos of water after a power flush! Took money with a 100 yard warranty! EDIT AFTER REPLY - The previous power flush identified a blocked manifold which was changed out successfully. The system still had contaminants in with some poor flow issues. You are now lying as there were never any lengthy conversations. Our subsequent telephone conversations are you both arguing with me and telling me that a 10mm flush rarely works so why start it in the first place? The simple fact is one leg of pipework needs to be replaced. This was / is easily identifiable. My emails have even asked for your assistance to resolve the problem! The power-flush you carried out will have taken the path of least resistance.

David and Peter have been involved with our full house renovation for 5 years. Their expert advice and forward planning allowed individual zoning of the house, which could be brought online as and when we were ready. This was an every existing pipe stripped out and absolutely everything brand new install of a system boiler, hot water tank capable of serving 4 bathrooms, 11 rads, a mass expanse of underfloor heating and all with full nest control. The system is incredible and the copperwork and overall workmanship is so neat and tidy - it was almost a shame to cover some of it up. We had the last of the install visits yesterday, combined with with a full system power flush, boiler service and general 'it's done' re-set on the complete install. I really cannot recommend David and Peter enough and never hesitate to pass their number onto Clients and friends. 5 stars all the way

5 star service every time from Peter and David! Our old boiler was 14 years old and they have serviced and repaired it over those years to keep it running! It was time to get a new boiler and they have just installed it and tidied up some pipework that had been done badly on original install of old boiler (not by them!) They work hard and quickly and had our new boiler up and running in less than a day. They are super tidy and took away our scrap, cleaned away any mess, showed me how it all worked and the new app and then triple checked everything was working! They are always courteous and extremely reliable! They are a pleasure to have in the house and would highly recommend for any plumbing/heating jobs you need! Thanks so much guys! Our underfloor heating system broke down when the temperature outside was below zero leaving the whole kitchen dinner freezing. Pete and Dave at Manchester Plumbing and heating were fantastic. I'm so happy with the work the guys have done, we've had 2 new radiators installed and a new boiler. We were away while the work was carried out and was so happy to come back to the house clean and tidy with the old boiler/water tank disposed of. 100% recommend.

They're now the firm our housing association landlord use for boiler checks. The guy filled the hole around the vent that has been seen and ignored by other testers for the last eleven years. He was thorough inside too.

I have used Manchester Plumbing and Heating 3 times in the last 3 months for issues related to my boiler and a lack of hot water. They were knowledgeable and professional and they provided a good quality of workmanship. Although not as cheap as another local company I have used (hence only 4 stars), they did a good job and you get what you pay for.

Peter, David and Gary did a great job of ripping out our old combi boiler and upgrading it to a new unvented pressurised system (much more appropriate for the size of property), zoning the system across the three floors! David and Peter dealt with some minor repair work on my central heating system and the issue has been resolved. They were very punctual and at my request provided very helpful advice during the same visit regarding possible improvements to my heating system.

I was really impressed by Pete and Dave's visit. I had anticipated expensive alterations to the water heating system but was advised that what I have is better than my plans. Called MPH to complete an UFH installation on an extension that my builder couldn't finish. Helpful and friendly on the phone with good advice. Sent a picture of the system manifold (needed actuators fitting and remote thermostats as far as I knew); received a quote and start date (about 2 weeks); paid deposit. Came on time as booked, but found extra work was needed, which I hadn't realised, to have the system running as I wanted. Very tidy - pipework, wiring, work area. Set up 3 Google Nests and explained their workings with clarity. We've had four plumbing companies on site concentrating on various parts of the system but would have recommended to the building company MPH do the full install cost permitting. Happy with overall service and work so would consider MPH again if any work is needed.

Peter and David are professional, aproachable, clean and tidy and know what they are doing. They have a broad depth of knowledge around all things central heating, including power flushing radiators, underfloor and replacing old fashioned room stats with the easier to control smart thermostats all at a reasonable price - not the cheapest but you know they are going to get the job done. If you need a domestic heating engineer then these guys should be your first port of call.

Peter and David have done an excellent job maintaining our 15+ year old boiler, buying us some time to save up before we needed to replace it. Their expertise and transparency made the new boiler installation process straightforward and reassuring, resulting in a smart heating system that should be hassle-free for years to come.

Its no wonder this team are 5 stars on google. Peter, David and Daz were very professional. I contacted them to come and take a look at my setup and to give me a solution to replace some old radiators and add in some extra. I have woodern floors, which means using the small, crawler space underneath to access current pipes. They spent time replacing pipes in the crawler space, which would have been gritty work. The chaps did a full day to get the job done and provided set up of the new thermostat and support in the following days. I'm confident if anything came to light in the future they would get any issue sorted or simply be at the end of the phone fir some practical support. They are obviously experienced in all aspects of heating solutions and my house certainly feels as it should and I live very much open plan. Although I felt the job cost was quite expensive, when it was quoted for, I didn't hesitate in accepting the quote and I believe it was worth it. As they say, you get what you pay for, and in this case, the quality of the work and the end result definitely justified the cost. To be fair, was it expensive or is that just the cost of things these days? Either way, I didn't just pay for a job to be done, I paid for a consultancy service with experienced people that are worth their salt and I can say I am happy with the end result. I'll add one photo of one of my rads. I would comment that this was retro fitted to current pipework and they have dine a neat job. The radiator I believe was custom made to size and is in keeping with others installed.

We had a new boiler put in a new location and pipework plus Nest system installed over the course of 4 days. Peter and David were always happy to answer all my questions to decide on a boiler and copper vs plastic pipework which I was grateful for. They gave a competitive quote and being local plumbers with excellent reviews it was a no brainer. We did have to wait 4 weeks because they are in demand but it was definitely worth it. Other tradespeople have commented on how neat their work is and the house was left in a tidy condition which was a bonus! Would highly recommend!

I called Peter with no heating and a suspected frozen pipe, where I had been unable to find the specific problem point myself. Rather than coming out and charging me for something that turned out to be very simple, he took the time to talk me through my house (which he had never been to) and pipe points and was able to find the frozen pipe over the phone, and talk me through sorting the problem. I had already spoken to two other plumbers prior to him who had both just apologised and said they had no availability, which Peter could very well have done as well. Called Manchester plumbing this evening as my 77 year old father’s heating system had gone off. Peter answered the call and advised that although they were unable to come out he could talk me through how to fix the problem (frozen pipe from the boiler) the current temperature is -7. Can’t fault the service, he helped and ensured everything was working without expecting any payment in return. Five star service!

I called the Saturday before Christmas with a boiler problem. Peter talked through the issue, gave me some tips to try and resolve the problem and told me he could come out on Monday to have a look if the problem persisted. My work meant I couldn’t do Monday, but he arrived as soon as I was free on Tuesday, diagnosed the problem and solved it with minimum fuss and zero mess. They really did save my Christmas and new year-thanks lads!

Problem solved re low water pressure and no hot water, initially in two minutes on the phone, then subsequently by two visits on site. This being something neither a local plumber, a large corporate supplier of heating and plumbing services nor United Utilities (who caused the issue) were able to do so. Courteous, tidy and efficient. Although the boys are v busy, they attended on time and on earlier dates than originally anticipated.. I would strongly recommend them for your plumbing issues. We had a full new heating system fitted in our period property, which was very much due an upgrade. Peter and David were responsive and professional from the quote through to installation work and additional requests we made. They provided great advice on the types on radiators we needed and heat output specs, and very clear with what we should expect during the work. They were on time and kept me updated throughout the installation, involving us with decisions to ensure we got the system we wanted. They guided us through the process of the lead replacement scheme that UU offer to give us our own water mains and ensure we were getting the best water connection for our system. The new boiler and pressure tank works a dream, allowing instant hot water to come out of the taps at the top of the house which is a long way from the boiler in the cellar. The Nest thermostat set up makes our lives easy to control the different levels of heat on each floor of the house. David gave us a full run through of the smart control, so we knew what we were doing with the Nest app on our phones. We are very pleased with the system we had installed and the customer service we received. Great communication throughout the job and very knowledgeable about the best system for us. I couldn’t recommend MPH more to do an excellent job and provide a great service.

My boiler broke over the bank holiday weekend. Peter and David were able to attend on the same day I called and provided an excellent and professional service. Peter & David replaced our boiler and performed a power flush. They were both professional and approachable and gave good advice and were competitively priced. From quoting to completion we were totally satisfied with their service. They had difficulty securing the boiler to our old and crumbly walls but made no fuss and didn’t mention it until they had resolved the issue. They also replaced some untidy radiator pipework. Replacement boiler fitted today after the old one was condemned by British Gas - it's working perfectly as far as I can tell and house is up to temperature. Peter and David rearranged another weekend appointment so they could get our heating back online and were very professional and friendly throughout the fitting. Cleaned up after themselves very well. Best price quoted from a few local suppliers and a great job done.

Having been very badly let down at short notice by a national "Homecare" provider (in name only), Manchester Plumbing and Heating responded very fast to an initial query about a boiler service and, owing to the nature of the job, were able to turn up the very next day to resolve. "First Class Service " I have just had my old back boiler replaced with a combi boiler and I could not fault the workmanship. The cost was exactly what was estimated even though they carried out extra work. The guys worked tirelessly all day and even power flushed my system which was a job in itself. I would not hesitate to recommend this company to anyone.

"Manchester Plumbing and Heating installed both a new unvented hot water cylinder and new boiler to our property this summer. From start to finish they kept us fully informed about all aspects of the work. They arrived on schedule and both jobs were completed on time to our complete satisfaction. Peter and David had a real challenge on their hands with the wiring for our new boiler which originated to the time when the builders installed our original boiler back in 1996! Their approach to solving the problem was just fantastic. They worked so hard together throughout the afternoon to find a solution to resolve the problem which meant staying on 'til early evening. They tested and re-tested the system before leaving to ensure it was all in full working order. The new hot water cylinder has given us fantastic pressure on our hot water meaning that all our showers truly are "power showers" now. The warranty on both products are excellent which will give us peace of mind for many years to come. Peter and David provided us with a great service at a very fair price and work together as a great team with such efficiency. They are completely reliable and trustworthy plus clean and tidy workers which is so important when working in someone's home. I'm a landlord with several properties in the area and have used a total of four plumbers in the last twelve months before calling this team. All four previously contracted persons proved themselves dishonourable, and cost me more than they should have. One I need to threaten with court very soon unless they return my money. Came out same day my boiler broke and identified the problem quickly. The boiler was repaired 2 days later when the parts arrived. The work was completed to a high standard and no mess was left behind. The guys were polite and professional and explained things clearly. I can see why these lads have earned only 5-star reviews! Good hard workers. It didn't take them long to diagnose the causes of the problems in my new house. Remember folks: -fill the kettle for cups of tea BEFORE the heating engineers switch off your water supply -get your boiler serviced every 12 months -listen to your heating engineer once you've found the one that you trust!

Great fast service for our broken Herman boiler would definitely use again if we had any other problems and would recommend!
