I had my Daikin Heat pump installed from A Mellor recently and I am extremely satisfied with their work. All the staffs including the plumbers and electricians who were involved in the installation were very polite, friendly and professional. There were some minor issues during the process but they were kind enough to rectify everything. I would like to thank each and everyone of them for their hard work especially Keiran the project manager who have been extremely patient with me answering all my queries and guiding me throughout the process. A special Thanks to Michael Teal representative from Daikin who was kind enough to visit by the end of the installation to make sure everything was perfect. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking to install Air source heat pump in North west area.

A Mellor moved my boiler, recessed pipes and replaced radiators in co-ordination with my house renovation. I cannot thank Darren and his team enough for their service. We had our old gravity-fed boiler replaced with a Worcester Greenstar 28kw cdi compact ERP Combination boiler on Darren’s recommendation. This entailed major pipework re-routing etc. The engineers (Ben & Terry) arrived dead on schedule. The work was carried out fast and efficiently and everything explained and tidied afterwards. The following day the bricklayer finished the job outside taking much more care than was expected. The whole job seems to be very professional and good value for money. We can recommend them.

First Class Service Having recently purchased our house, and after a complete rip out and new pipework and plumbing, including underfloor (wet) heating we were losing boiler pressure every 20mins. several plumbers attended to fix the problem including the original plumber (5 times). after 3 months we where losing the will when i contacted A. Mellor Plumbing. Harrison came out and after three hours the job was done and fixed. it was the fact that he could be bothered and wanted to fix it that impressed. he had an horrendous, M60, journey home at 5pm but he got the job done. Mellor are definitely my go to in the future. Thank you.

My boiler broke down on a Sunday afternoon. No heating or hot water and very cold weather. I phoned my insurance company to discover that I wasn’t insured for breakdowns of the boiler only for services of the boiler. I was amazed and quite upset and quite angry On Monday morning the following day I used my phone to look for anyone who would answer the phone before 9.0am and could repair the boiler quite quickly. I phoned Mr Mellor who answered the phone immediately. He asked for my postcode and e-mail address and said I will phone you back in 2 minutes. He did just that and said “ I will have an engineer with you in 30 minutes. Within 30 minutes the engineer turned up and was friendly, helpful and had the heating and hot water back on in no time. A truly wonderful service and I will definitely be using Mr Mellor again. Cheaper than the insurance I am paying for which will now be cancelled. Thank you very much

Arrived on time to do the quote, after ringing to check it was OK. When we agreed too the price, which was very good, he arranged to come out to fit a new radiator at the time planned. Our experience with A Mellor Plumbing, Heating and Renewable Energy Services Ltd was, unfortunately, a very difficult one. We had a complex air source heat pump system installed as part of a significant investment in our home. From early on, we struggled with how the system was performing. The heating felt inconsistent, and many rooms didn’t seem to maintain a stable temperature. We spent a considerable amount of time trying to understand and manage these issues. Our energy bills became extremely high, which we only fully understood after a lot of trial, monitoring, and investigation. As homeowners without technical expertise, we had no reason to question how the system was set up until much later. Flow issues, changing heat levels, and defrost cycles were frequent and difficult to manage. Various engineers attended over time, but from our perspective, the problems persisted and we were left trying to deal with much of it ourselves. A radiator in the front room consistently struggled to heat properly. Although this was acknowledged in email exchanges, we didn’t receive a solution that fully addressed the issue during our time in the property. While there were efforts made to assist us, the situation remained stressful and unresolved from our point of view. We spent an extraordinary amount of time trying to keep the system working smoothly — we estimate over 90 full days — and this had a real impact on our time, finances, and wellbeing. This review reflects our personal and documented experience with the system as users. This review is based entirely on our personal experience and has been revised solely to ensure clarity and fairness.

Gas Fire Inspection After having a new roof fitted, it was advised that we have a gas fire inspection to ensure that carbon monoxide was escaping as it should through the new gas ridge tile. I contacted A Mellor and the engineer came the next day as promised and the work was carried out quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend this Company.

I cant fault the service ive received from A Mellors at all. They were a mates recommendation. Their quote for a new boiler was competitive relative to the organisation size. They offered me fitting dates within 2 weeks of booking. The guys came, just got on with installation, no problems, no hassle, tidied up after themselves, showed me all the relevant parts and forms etc. Took at 5-6hrs total, British Gas wanted 2.5 days!!!! They registered the warranty for me and sent me all the relevant safety certificates etc. Would definitely recommend them to others.

booked a callout to recaulk shower tray. took time off work to be home for the visit. called the office 30 minutes after the arrival window had passed. told that plumber was delayed on first job, still travelling, had 2 other jobs to attend, they couldn't give me a time. delays are inevitable and understandable. lack of communication is not.

Couldn’t recommend this company enough. I needed my boiler replaced and contacted the company for a quote. They came out the same day and provided me with detailed quotes for different options. Once I had decided on a boiler, they booked me in for a couple of days after. The two lads that fitted the boiler were really efficient and did an excellent job. This company was excellent right from the outset. After ringing them for a quote for a new boiler, an engineer called within a couple of hours to assess the job; within an hour of his visit I had a written quote emailed to me. The price was very reasonable. The two young engineers arrived as arranged , worked hard, were very polite and cleaned up afterwards. There were a couple of very small snags but within minutes of sending an email to the company, arrangements were made to attend the next working day to sort them out. I have to say that Mellor's customer service is excellent. I would certainly use them again.

Anthony mellor and team fitted us a heat source heat pump with full system and radiators. We had no heating whatsoever so this was a job from scratch. I can honestly say from the initial quotation to actually fitting the full system start to finish this was undertaken in the most professional way. The Team and housekeeping was A star ⭐️ And the full job from start to finish was impeccable! I would not hesitate in using this firm again and trust me we are fussy! Rang this company as I had no heating, said they’d ring me back in 20 mins 1.5hrs later I call them to see if the can come out, I got ‘oh I was just about to ring you to book you in’, agreed to book me in the following day 1-3 time frame. Got to 4pm still not showed up, no phone call to say what was happening. I Rang them & was told there had be major motorway congestion, he still has to do 2 more jobs before he gets to you, can we book you in another day, I have 2 children & one under 5 yrs old with no hot water & freezing cold house. I have gone else where as they can’t even be bothered to call you to let you know what is happening. VERY Unprofessional company!!!

First time I’ve used this company as I was let down by 2 other companies promising to have a look at my faulty boiler. Looked them up on google and saw all the positive reviews and they didn’t disappoint. Came next day and diagnosed fault and were prompt in organizing a re visit as soon as they sourced the part needed. Staff on the phone and the engineer were superb I will definitely use A Mellor In the future.

What can I say other than ACE! Recommend to everyone, nice guy that turned up, service as requested, and free for NHS staff (currently), will definitely be using next year! Good job!

You recently installed a new boiler in my tenanted property. As I live in the south I was unable to discuss on site due to the present travel restrictions. Nevertheless I was thoroughly involved at all stages in what was a complicated project with the design evolving over a few weeks. I was hugely impressed by the quality of thinking and care that was taken to arrive at the best solution for the cottage. My tenant has reported on the excellent workmanship and complete professionalism of your people and the sub-contractors carrying out the associated electrical and building work. I had problems with my old boiler and decided to have a look on the web for some cost to replace. I fell on the worcester Bosch web site and had a page to get a instant quote so as i had nothing to loose I tried it and entered all my details but because my flue went through the roof i had to wait until an installer contacted me this was a Saturday night so I turned off the pc and thought nothing of it. To my extreme surprise the installer Anthony Mellor contacted me on my email and backed up with a text I sent him some photos of my boiler on Saturday and on Sunday he came to my home at a time to suit me and gave me a full no quibble quotation assuring me that he would take full responsibility for the complete install from start to finish including the roofer for the flue this was important to me as i had to go to work and there would only be someone at home who had no knowledge of any of the plumbing or electrical installation in the house so I went ahead on the basis of a fair quotation and the assurance of doing the job from start to finish with this in mind I booked a installation date for the following Thursday. Thursday morning came and two very professional and polite engineers arrived at 8am they covered all my carpets from ground up to loft room and completed the installation of my new 8000 series worcester Bosch in one day and that included the roofing and flue and cleaned all areas up after in fact I couldn’t tell they had been there except for the boiler. Anthony rang my wife on a couple of occasions and also visited my home to see if the engineers needed anything and to see if we were happy and we was to say the least we also had a problem with the electrical supply to the boiler which was fixed and a new spur fitted and didn’t even charge extra for this service which they could have done if they wanted due to it not being part of the installation. Lastly i came home from work to be greeted by the engineers who then took me through all the installation and gave me a full run through with all the controls and features. So to sum this up - extremely excellent service from start to finish. Great quotation and quality workmanship. Polite professional service from the engineers. Overall a complete package with no hassle and all debris and old boiler removal. Highly recommended from me and my wife if you an installation company you can truly trust to complete the works. Oh yes one last thing they even provide a service contact from £5,95 a month i have taken this out as this to me was a no brainier. Thank you A Mellor Plumbing & Heating.

These guys are exceptional. We needed a new boiler and its so important to get the right people for this., not least because its a large purchase that you need to last you for years but also because they need to go in every room in your home to ensure every radiator is working properly etc. These guys exceeded our expectations. They were punctual, professional and really knew their stuff. More than that, they were really personable and treated our home as if it were their own, with absolute respect and integrity. They responded quickly and with absolute professionalism, their workmanship was exceptional and we are beyond thrilled with the new installation. My husband used to be a gas engineer so he knows his stuff and he thinks these are the best gas engineers he has ever encountered. We would never use anyone else in the future, these guys are outstanding xx

Dealt with a leaking cloakroom which had been problematic for ages. It had been driving us mad for a while. They were very quick and reliable and the price was reasonable and what I would expect for good quality workmanship. Highly recommended.

The staff where very helpful and the plumber turned up on time , also pleasant and went to get the parts for my toilet and fitted them very quickly and efficiently I would recommend this firm to anyone.

Came out to fit an outside tap. Engineer was very friendly and helpful as were the office staff. They were very efficient, tidy and very helpful. Would recommend highly and will use again in the future

I needed a quote to have a new shower cabin and shower put it. Also my toilet tank was over flowing. They agreed to same day visit and were prompt. The man was very friendly and professional. He said he could fix the overflow problem straightaway. I was a little surprised with the price, though in hinesight I realise it was reasonable. But I had never really had any plumbing work done in the past. As I had another plumber to give me a quote. I decided to wait till I had all my quotes done. I don't think he was happy with that. My other plumber said he didn't do shower cabins. Over the next few days I kept on ringing the company for a quote. They kept on saying someone was going to ring back. But no one ever did. I feel this is very unprofessional of them. I wish they had just said they weren't willing to do the job for me! Or at least given me a quote. But to keep fobbing off a customer and to make them wait at least five days before the penny dropped that they have no intention of giving me a quote! It's has caused unnecessary time waste!!!!

A Mellor's - excellent service from the owners Anthony & Darren through to the chap who came to fix our leak (sorry I can't remember his name). Appointment made to fit in with us and came at arranged time - such a positive in this day and age. Reasonable price and job completed to a high standard, no mess - would not hesitate to use them again or recommend to others. Well done.
