R S Boiler Services

Having failed to get 4 plumbers to even respond to messages and e-mails listed in my local 'trusted' directory, I contacted R S Boilers. They promptly responded and although not in any way an urgent call they came out first thing the next morning and serviced my Megaflow system and repaired an outside tap. Their charges were very reasonable. Would definitely use them again.

Based upon my experience, I'd say RS Boilers are the best in the area. 5-star recommended.

Unfortunately not a good experience. We booked a boiler service and it was attended by an engineer and his apprentice. I presumed everything was fine - they said it was. Day after the boiler starts leaking and making noise. They return a couple of weeks later. Do not fix any of the issues. They say the leaking is a broken part (which I'm willing to accept is just an unlucky coincidence) but cannot address the noise. They should have checked the radiators and when I flagged this with the manager, Adam, he agreed and said he would raise it with his team. Following their second visit the pressure completely dumped over a freezing weekend. I appealed for help and the email was totally ignored for a week and then when they did reply they did not address the issue or show any empathy or accountability. We had a local plumber come who repressurised the system. The next week a Vaillant engineer came to replace the broken part under warranty. The boiler was still making noise. He said it wasn't his place to comment on other workers but that he wasn't impressed by what he had seen. We had another Vaillant engineer come a week after that (non warranty) to basically do another service and fix the issues. He noticed an awful lot of shortcomings, including a number of unserviced parts and missed safety checklists. I fed this back to Adam and said on account of having to reservice the boiler, pay other people to do the job properly and all the noted shortcomings we would like our money back. Adam refused and dismissed all the objections. I understand he has to try to protect his employees but two Vaillant engineers pointed out faults. Adam didn't apologise and didn't offer a refund. He also refuted everything we'd noted. He even said things like 'the CO alarm was in fact checked' but there was actually no CO alarm in the room at that time! Either his employees are lying to him or he's lying to us. Either way we will now use Vaillant themselves to service the boiler and will stay well clear of RS Boiler Services. The customer service is terrible, the product service itself is poor.

The service I received from Richard was fantastic. Communication was 10/10 and will be booking in for my next boiler service with RS boiler Services next year.

Had two jobs now for Adam and his team in this family run business in last 12 months. They're the best and most knowledgeable plumbers I've ever had work on my house and so happy they're local, just gutted I never found them sooner.

Thank you RS Boilers for your help in fixing our old heating system that had been playing up for years and finally gave up the ghost just after Christmas and during freezing conditions. First time I’ve used R/S Boilers and they provided a speedy response and service even though I was a new customer. The technician was knowledgeable, professional and friendly, and happy to talk me through the problem and rectification. Will definitely use again.

I’ve used the team for 10 years. They’ve always been helpful, prompt, polite and easy to work with. Last year they designed and fitted my shiny new (not straight forward) air source heat pump system. They managed the whole process for me, including organising the electricians (who were also great and are now doing other jobs for me). A small family business who are really putting in the effort to support renewables - these guys are at the top of my list for heating, and would recommend to anyone locally.
