To future proof our heating & boiler system with a new Worcester Bosch boiler and Johnson & Starley Aquair S-10 to replace our old 46-year-old system and after receiving expert advice from an initial visit by Richard Roberts, in just a few days after the installation we can see our running costs have started to fall, so thank you Richard. When I decided to replace my 40 year old boiler I was confident that Chelmsford Plumbing and Heating would to a good job as I had used them for several years for boiler servicing and various plumbing tasks. Martin was extremely helpful on the phone — honest, clear, and reassuring. He explained it might not need replacing and arranged for Russell, who was already in the area, to come out the same day. Russell arrived within about half an hour. He was polite, very methodical, and took the time to properly test the system. After making a few adjustments, he got everything working perfectly again. No upselling, no pressure — just honest, transparent advice and excellent workmanship. Oil boiler service, great friendly engineer.

used x 2 recently July 2026. 1. planned bath waste fitting then 2. emergency as water expansion tank ripped itself off the wall [insecure installation by original builder not the best and effectively made this inevitable though lasted many years]. emailed Sunday, phone call just after 8am Monday from cph, visit by another fab employee around 9.15 am, sorted by lunchtime, now secure installation. reasonable cost. I couldn't recommend highly enough, faultless.

We had an oil boiler and water cylinder installed by Chelmsford Plumbing and Heating which cost over £8,000 and had issues during and post installation. There was a leak overnight during installation and we were unable to contact anyone until the morning. Although this was made good it was frustrating. Following the installation one of the cylinders came off the wall and bent the connecting pipe which we were informed by the emergency plumber (who we had to call out to make it safe as it happened over the weekend) had happened because it had not been properly secured to the wall. He said this was worrying as it was a very basic installation error. We were disappointed Chelmsford Plumbing and Heating then tried to charge for the remedial work even though it had been caused by installation error. To top it all off we also had an oil leak from one of the boiler parts which caused over £30,000 of damage and resulted in a home insurance claim. Chelmsford Plumbing and Heating tried to play down the damage, saying the leak was not substantial and seemed to not understand the implications of an oil leak which is pretty concerning for a company that handles oil boilers. As it turned out a lot of oil had in fact leaked and it had contaminated the surrounding area resulting in the patio being pulled up and excavated. I believe our home insurance’s solicitor are still engaged with Chelmsford Plumbing and Heating regarding it. We went with them even though they were one of the more expensive quotes we had received as we felt they looked to be a good sized and reliable company. Unfortunately, this did not turn out to be a good decision.

After being significantly let down by a National company, I called Chelmsford Plumbing and Heating for a second opinion. I was quite emotional when I called as I'd just been told I had to spend circa £10k for a new heating system, but the lady in the office, Kate, was extremely helpful and pragmatic which helped to calm me down, she booked me in for an engineer to come out the next day to assess the situation. The engineer, Russell, came out as promised the next day, at the time stated and called first, none of the processes the National company could achieve, he was the loveliest chap, knowledgeable and empathetic. He went through my warm air system part by part, and made sure every section was in working order and most importantly, safe. After two hours, he had fully checked and serviced the system, it transpired that I did not need a new system. The National company had not carried out any of the service as they should have, and in my opinion used scare tactics to make me purchase a new one, Russell's expertise in warm air systems was evident from the get go, and I cannot rate him or the company highly enough.

Russell was very organised with the job to replace my shower. He worked efficiently and did the job in a reasonable time. He then showed me that it worked and I was able to use it. I am very pleased with his work. Thank you

I cannot talk too highly of this company - from your first contact with Becky or Abbie or indeed any of the admin group, you feel that they care and do all they can to make things happen. Martyn, the Managing Director is quite amazing and very patient and takes time to explain what his about to book in and is very knowledgeable about all aspects of Heating and Plumbing The team we had - Harrison and Luke - were superb and took great care of our home at all times and we felt sufficiently confidant that we decided to have some days and nights away as we trusted them both Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were able to give us a plan that worked for us all and completed the job of replacing our Boiler and Hot Water Tank on time with very little mess ( which they cleared up anyway very well - Noah came in to help during this time and again was very polite and respected our home ) The Electrician ( Bob ) was also excellent coming on time and again making very little mess A very efficient and likeable team and we would be very happy to recommend them all

I have used this company for a range of plumbing and heating requirements over the past few years and have always been completely satisfied. The reception team have always been very helpful. The engineers have been friendly, respectful and efficient, always taking time to explain what the job has entailed. Arash was no exception to these qualities when he tackled a job yesterday that turned out to be problematic instead of straightforward. The replacement sections of the soil pipe had to be customised before connecting and testing. The soil stack with its new branches is running efficiently now without leaks thanks to Arash's patience and perseverance. I recently had installed a new Unvented Water Cylinder by Chelmsford Plumbing and Heating and everything went so smoothly from my conversations with the ladies inb the office to Martyn the owner who explained everything very clearly and in layman's language to me. Just had a new boiler installed and a power flush carried out. The work was completed to a high standard and within the expected time frame and budget. The engineer, Ash, who carried out the work was polite, friendly, and worked in a tidy and efficient manner. He kept us informed of what he was doing at each stage of the installation. When he'd finished he was meticulous in cleaning up and removing all of the waste and old fittings. Very happy overall with the installation and with Chelmsford Plumbing & Heating level of service and communication.

For some reason, we had struggled to find a Gas Safe person to install our new gas range cooker at a justifiable & affordable price. I finally contacted Chelmsford Plumbing & Heating who are very local to us in the village. Communications were very good, the quotation was more in line with my expectations, and we were very pleased with Joe who did the work. He turned up promptly for 8am, very courteous & friendly, did the gas connection and work, secured the cooker, adding the cooker trim, tested gas pressures, functionality, moved it into place, did the basic cooker set-up. Very pleased as this has been an on-going project for several months. We would definitely recommend Chelmsford Plumbing & Heating (based on our experience) and would use them again.

We were very pleased with the service from CPH. Our engineer arrived within the time specified and got straight to servicing and replacing some parts that were faulty to get the boiler back to full working order. Everything was explained to us and we received a full report on works carried out. Had a serious water leak into my kitchen just before New Year. Discovered that a fitting to the water supply pipe to the wc cistern was letting by. Temporarily, turned off the water supply to the house and drained down the cold water tank. Couldn’t contact Chelmsford Plumbing and Heating as they were closed until 5 January. Contacted another local emergency plumber who visited, cut the supply pipe to the cistern, fitted a stop valve and capped the pipe. Suggested I needed to replace the wc and the concealed cistern. I was able to arrange for Chelmsford Plumbing and Heating to visit on the 7 January. Their plumber was able make a repair and also replaced part of the flush system. He suggested other improvements that could be carried out and offered to arrange a quotation. All work was carried out in a very professional and efficient manner at a reasonable cost. I will be asking Chelmsford Plumbing and Heating to service my boiler and carry out other work that I know needs attention. I have used them before. They were able to repair my old boiler when British Gas said it could not be repaired because a foam seal was no longer available.

We had a boiler failure in early December. It was old a needed replacement. The people at CPH were very helpful and efficient in arranging a visit for a quote within 3 days. The new system being installed 10 days after accepting the quote. Rhys and Ash did the fitting. Very clean, tidy and professional guys. We're extremely happy with the new system. Recommend CPH.

Typically my heating stopped working a week before Christmas. Chelmsford Plumbing and Heating went out of their way to get an Engineer out and the problem fixed straight away. Would certainly recommend them to everyone.

CPH provided a very good service from start to finish when replacing my boiler. The engineers who attended my property were very respectful of myself, my property and each other. Everything was left tidy and I now have working heating and hot water! I did have to wait for a time before the job was able to be completed, this was due to it being the time of year and demand. Overall, I was happy with the service provided, if it could have been completed earlier I would have given 5 stars

I can’t praise this company enough. Harrison and Ash came out to chase in radiator pipes, install 5 radiators and make some much needed updates to our mains water supply. They were brilliant and the work was impeccable. Chelmsford Plumbing and Heating have a customer for life.

Excellent service from start to finish. Chelmsford Plumbing & Heating diagnosed a tricky boiler issue on my Glow-worm Flexicom and worked through it methodically- replacing the expansion vessel, PRV and flushing the system before addressing the fan and gas valve. Communication was clear throughout, costs were explained upfront, and they didn’t fit parts unnecessarily. Very happy with their work and professionalism.

We had an oil boiler and completely new heating system installed and were so impressed with the service from Chelmsford Plumbing and Heating. From the outset Martyn was highly professional and helpful, walking us through every step of the process and following up during and after installation to ensure everything was to the highest standard. Lewis and Luke who came to carry out the work were so considerate of our home, pets and children and were punctual, polite, great at communicating and checking in on the decision making process. They completed the job to an extremely high standard and even replaced the towel rail because it had a tiny dent in it (which I hadn't even noticed!). We wouldn't hesitate to use them again in the future.

Arrived on time. 08:00 am Plumber very pleasant, Straight to the point. He used blue plastic over shoes. Isolated the Pipes/ fittings to be replaced. No water spillage, or leakage. Great work from Ash at Chelmsford Plumbing, replacing our boiler. He went the extra mile to work into the evening to complete work on an old radiator we also wanted replacing but which proved a little trickier than anticipated. Would definitely recommend this company - very professional approach.

Great experience using this company, they were friendly, professional and communicative. I had old storage heaters replaced and they answered all my questions and were also super patient as I went back and forth deciding on the final specs. On the day, Rob came on time and was done before I knew it. He even fixed a faulty light whilst he was there, which was really nice of him to do. Overall really pleased, worth the money spent.

I had been looking for someone to service my 4 year old Vaillant gas boiler and Magntec cleaner which is attached to it. (Vaillant would service the boiler but wouldn't touch the Magnatec) As it so happened, one of CPH advertising letters recently dropped through our letterbox, and after checking some independent reviews, I thought I would try them. The booking procedure was quick and straightforward and the first available date was only a week or so and I was quoted a fixed price for the service. As it turned out, an earlier appointment became available and we accepted it. Simon arrived on time, after phoning ahead, carried out the service quickly and efficiently, taking photo's of the various stages which he showed us afterwards and left the everything clean and tidy. We were able to pay by card on his portable payment device and received the invoice and gas certificate by email two days later. Excellent service. No doubt next year we will be calling them again!

Today I had a burst external water pipe which I couldn't isolate so had to turn off all water to property at street mains supply. Called Chelmsford Plumbing and Heating Ltd needing urgent help. My call was answered straight away and the guy I spoke with was very polite and helpful. Within an hour a friendly engineer called Rich arrived at my house to fix the problem. The work carried out was of high quality and completed in an hour. All old bits of pipe and debris were taken away leaving things very tidy. I was only charged the advertised hourly rate plus £15 for an additional part I'd asked for. No hidden charges or unexpected nasties. Rich was extremely professional and couldn't have been more helpful. I'd highly recommend CP&H's plumbing services to anyone. Well done!

The Managing Director cares about his staff and customers and is appropriate in his psychological approach to women living on their own. A very emotionally intelligent engineer attended within a few days and the job was executed to a very high standard, with no messing around. Great experience dealing with Chelmsford Plumbing and Heating, right from initial booking, though installation. We had wanted to replace electric heating in a flat and didn't know where to start. Rob their Electrician came out, gave us great advice and priced up the job quickly. Rob even came out to remove the existing heating so would could decorate. Rob came back to install which took most of the day and even resolved some other electrical issues we had. We have just had 6 radiators replaced by Chelmsford Plumbing and Heating. The two gentlemen were absolutely superb. They were very polite, explained in detail what they would do, laid dustmats throughout and were extremely careful when removing the radiators with no spills of rusty water. They worked like Trojans hardly stopping for drinks. When finished they asked us to check the installation and left the rooms in such a condition that you would not know they had been there other thyan for the new radiators. Can’t recommend Chelmsford Plumbing and Heating highly enough - in a world of cowboy and rip off merchants, it’s refreshing to deal with a local firm who just want to do right by their customers. Recently had a nightmare issue with water pressure and blocked pipes caused by another firm over Christmas, I made the decision to suffer the problem and wait till after the new year break so I could get CPH on the case to resolve. Daryl was brilliant and I even got a visit from the big boss to assist/make sure all was well. Super bunch

An efficient local team who I have used for both plumbing and electrical work. They generally arrive when they say they will, do the job well and charge a competitive price. They have come out at short notice for me on a couple of occasions and their callout fee can be a bit steep when it proves to be a 5 minute job but that would be my only criticism. Chelmsford plumbing and heating are my "go-to" company and I have recommended them to both friends and family. Keep up the good work!

From the moment we rang the office and spoke to the lovely lady, we knew immediately we were in good hands. Our boiler was 22 years old and on its last legs, Marytn came round the next day, such a lovely guy, he explained everything and a quote was with us that evening, which we agreed to and was very happy with . Harrison came on the day we were told and exactly on time, he is the politest young man, extremely respectful and a very contentious hard worker, he explained everything from start to finish, and was so tidy, even washing down our patio at the very end. The boiler and a powerflush were all completed to a very high standard in a day and a half, we also meet Rob, who fitted our Hive, again another lovely guy, who explained how the hive works, and set it all up for us. We thought our heating was fine before , but since having the new Worcester boiler fitted, we can definitely feel the difference, the radiators are so much hotter. This family run company and the team, go above and beyond to make sure their customers are happy and we really are. Very professional, caring and know their products. The engineer that was sent round was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to help myself with another plumbing issue which was not the original one he was there for. He also showed me workarounds if the problem arises again which put my mind at ease.

I recently hired this plumbing company to help with a few problems. After a technical issue with the booking system, I’ve phoned them and everything was sorted quickly and professionally. Even the wait for spare parts was minimal.

I am rarely moved enough by the service I recieve from a company to write a review. But in this case I am delighted to make an exception and to sing their praises from the roof tops. Following a boiler breakdown during a recent particularly cold spell, I decided that it was time to replace our existing boiler with another from the excellent Worcester Bosch range and went to their website to request a quotation from their local authorised installer. Less than an hour later a call was received from Becky who in double quick time arrange a site inspection by Martyn the MD of the company. During the visit I made some additional requests about the rest of the system and following discussions with Martyn, we decided to strip out the whole of the tank fed, cylinder system and replace with a state of the art Combi boiler. An estimate was received within 24 hours and an order placed. To help us out during the leadtime before the work was due to start, Martyn arranged for a immersion heater to be installed (FOC) in the system so we had hot water again. Without dragging this narrative out and risk losing the readers attention, the day came when the works were due to start and bang on schedule, Lewis was ringing the doorbell and taking off his boots. The work took 4 days and during that time Lewis, with a little help from collegues, Elliot and Rob the electrician, transformed our antiquated heating system into some thing resembling a steampunk work of art, and we couldnt be happier. During the works, Lewis was punctual, polite and kept us informed off what had been done and what was still so be done. As someone who likes to think he is a competent DIYer, this was very interesting. We cannot thank everyone at CPH enough for their professionalism, and expertise and the speed with which they reacted to our dilemma. If you want good service, look no further than Chelmsford Heating and Plumbing and no, I have no connection with them other than being a very satisfied customer. Martin Wheeler December 24.

I always use this excellent plumbing company. Since around 2005 I have had domestic jobs done around the house as well as a boiler service most years. Today it was to replace a shower unit. Simon was on time, made sure he made no footprints on the carpet, got on with the job immediately and was finished within an hour. From the initial phone call, to getting the job done the team was great. Simon was absolutely great to deal with. He traced my leak to the upstairs toilet and repaired everything. Had utility meters changed and the engineer spotted gas leak, so disconnected gas from property. I rang Chelmsford Plumbing and Heating to arrange for an engineer to call. After a gas leak was detected on the boiler a survey indicated a new boiler was needed. A Worcester Bosch was identified as suitable and we were provided with a clear and reasonable quotation very quickly afterwards. CPH indicated a potential lead time but were able to arrange an installation date sooner than the anticipated lead time originally identified. The installer (Rhys) checked what we wanted in respect of the condensation outlet. He did a really good job leaving the installation clean and tidy. He commissioned the boiler after the electrics had been checked and confirmed that the hot water and central heating were functioning properly. He gave a brief run through on how the boiler controls functioned and left the relevant documentation. CPH arranged for the registration and guarantee with Worcester Bosch and a week after the installation we have both the guarantee and a Gas Safety Certificate. We have used CPH previously and will continue to do so as they are reliable and efficient and offer value for money.

Richard quoted for a complex rerouting task, taking motorised valves out of an awkward corner. When they came to carry out the work, Lewis, Luke and Rob turned up promptly and set to. It soon became apparent that there was an opportunity to achieve a better solution and they discussed it carefully with me and Richard. The work was carried out cheerfully (despite it being a very hot day, and their working in cramped conditions). They left no debris (important in a working kitchen) and cleaned up behind them. Their solution avoided the need for an expensive piece of kit, which was deducted from the final bill. I've nothing but praise for this team - - it's why I'm happy to keep using Chelmsford Plumbing and Heating.

Just had a replacement boiler and new heated towel rail fitted by Chelmsford Plumbing and Heating. I was expecting a lot of disruption but Lewis and Luke did an amazing job . The process of arranging a first visit with CPH, receiving a quotation and finding a suitable date for starting the works was easy and straightforward. We had several radiators replaced in our house. Additionally, a mixer tap and part of the mastic were replaced in our bathroom. Rhys, the experienced engineer arrived at the agreed time and carried out the work thoroughly and with great competence. It was a pleasure to have Rhys working in our house who appears to really enjoy his work. Rhys is a very friendly person and was happy to discuss any matters related to the works. Work was done in about an hour, comprising boiler service and system check. Very good tidy up afterwards. Office support professional with payment by card on site and all paperwork by email. My boiler stopped working after a power cut. I called in the morning and had a phone call from the engineer by midday. He was incredibly kind and helpful - and enabled me to fix the problem (by resetting the boiler) over the phone without him attending the address, and saved me the call out fee! As I'm on maternity leave, I am incredibly grateful for this. Cannot recommend them enough.

From Martyn coming to explain what was needed to the two Lewis’s, who were very professional, friendly and polite throughout the job.The work took 4 days, at every step I was kept up to date with what was happening. Rob came to us yesterday to fit ceiling lights. He was prompt, efficient and got straight on with the work. He lifted carpets where necessary and replaced them so that it was difficult to see they had been moved. We had to go out but he returned when we got back to check we were happy. We certainly were! I was very pleased with the work done by Rhys to install a water softener. My experience with other installers of equipment is that some assume they know how to do the job and charge in ignoring the installation instructions. Rhys read the manufacturer’s instructions fully and considered carefully the options for how best to do the job given the constraints of my house. Job well done.

Steve came serviced our boiler and replaced parts in kitchen taps. Paid £245 he was here 10am until just after 11.40. I can recommend Steve.

Our toilet started flushing constantly. CP&H came out quickly to isolate the cistern, ordered the parts and were back a couple of days later to make the repair. It's a little hard to know where to start when writing a review for Chelmsford plumbing and heating because in my opinion they are simply superb with exceptional customer service. Over the last 9 months we have had extensive work completed at our property. A new boiler, central heating and electrical work. Obviously, having trades people and work done can be an anxious time and admittedly, I was anxious about the work. Simply put, I really needed not to have been. All the engineers that completed the work are incredible. Incredibly friendly, professional and skilled in their work. They liaised with me at every step, answered any questions I had and subdued any fears I may have had. I feel quite privileged that we had this company complete all our works to a very, very high standard. They will definitely be my first port of call in the future and I would like to use this opportunity to give my sincere thanks and my very highest recommendation.

We highly recommend CHP, they have been excellent. They came out to look at our heating and found we had no oil (just moved in and had a faulty gauge) and came back after we had topped up to sort out the air lock at no extra cost. Then we discovered we needed a new boiler because it had not been looked after by the previous owners. The guys worked so hard over two days to do this for us. They are professional, courteous, punctual and reliable. Customer service went above and beyond. The guys who have been out to us have been down to earth and have answered all our questions clearly and explained things to my husband on the phone to avoid me getting things lost in communication. They know what they are doing and don’t make you feel like a fool. So pleased with their service and speed of reply and sorting quotes.

We have used other plumbers but have now, over the past 7+ years only used Chelmsford Plumbing and Heating. We’ve always had a professional service. Recently we’ve had Rhys to replace old plastic micro-bore pipes with copper. One particular radiator in a room with a laminate floor was very tricky but after a couple of solutions Rhys fixed it better than ever. He’s so good at finding solutions and thinking outside the box. Absolutely fantastic service as always and he kept us informed throughout .

Had a problem with my controller, called at 8.15am today,Tracy quickly arranged for engineer Simon to attend 30 minutes later and all sorted by 9.30am. Simon was efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. Excellent service.

I called with an emergency boiler issue and they had someone out and had the problem fixed within 1 hour. Highly recommended, as the customer service was brilliant. I say this due to being told that I may have to wait until the next day, but when I said the situation I was told it would be within 2 hours, and everything was fixed before that even!

Booked in twice to do the work and both times totally let down. First time said that it was just booked for quote. 2nd time they turned up said it would be an hour max 2 hours to do the job. Then got in the van and left. I will not use again and avoid at all costs. Absolutely disappointed with them and has put my project back 2 weeks 😞

We would wholeheartedly recommend this company. From start to finish the team were so professional. Martyn did the initial visit and explained everything to us, before providing what we thought was a very reasonable quote. Ours was a big job involving relocation of a new boiler and water tank, and moving all the associated pipe work. Lewis and Luke did the work over 7 days and worked so hard each day, always clearing up at the end of the day and letting us know how they’d got on. They barely stopped whilst they were here. We had Harrison from CPH come to remove our old heating system including radiators and a vented tank then put a new gledhill unvented indirect tank in the loft. He was excellent from start to finish - polite, kept us on the loop with everything and answered all my questions. The job was completed on time and exactly how i wanted it. I would use them again.

Can be tricky booking a trade to do a small job. I called CPH after a recommendation from a friend and booked the job. The friendly plumber arrived exactly on time to cap off an unused gas pipe. The pipe was capped and tested within 30 minutes. Very happy, thanks.

First off I'll explain, I have been messed around like crazy by a different company for over a month and left with no heating. I quit waiting for them and I spoke to Mason on the phone at CPH. He was attentive, he listened to my issue fully, he took everything I told him onboard and asked me to send pictures. Within 30 minutes he responded and set me up an emergency appointment the next day. The next day an engineer; Russ, showed up. Despite the part not quite being right and another part needed, Russ managed to fix the system regardless; like a pro. He explained everything to me so well it's easy to see he's an incredibly knowledgable bloke. No mess, no fuss, no callout charge. It even came out cheaper than the original quote and we had a good laugh with him. Most important thing in this story is that they fixed my heating 2 days before Christmas. Lifesavers. A* company. Will recommend them to anyone who asks and 100% will be using them again.

DO NOT USE I consider them crooks. After three visits they are not able to fix a dripping tab. First lad they sent out didn't have a clue what he was doing, got his supervisor to come out to double check the job and was told that everything could be completed during a one hour slot. Second lad came to complete the job and they do they missed two out of the three listed jobs (I was away from home during the time of the visit so couldn't double check). The third lad said that to fix my leaking bath tap a new bath would be needed. In total, I paid for 2 hrs and 15 mins for something that they promised would be under an hour. From start to finish it took over three months just to fix one outdoor pipe and leaking tap. Please do not use. They waist your time and money. I feel like I have been robbed and consider them to be crooks. Don't let the professional vans trick you into doing business with them. I have written a complaint, no response

I booked them to reroute the drain pipe on my combi boiler. I called them about2.0pm and booked a visit the next day, after arriving home had a phone call asking if they could do the job at 4.0pm that day. Everything was completed in 45 minutes fantastic service very professional.

This company was recommended to me 3 years ago and the recommendation did not do all at CPH justice. I value this company to such a point that I had them fit full boiler installations in three family members home. Its rare to have a company that is consistent in its quality of service at each step of the job. The reception staff are faultless with their politeness every time you call and nothing is ever too much of a problem. If the company tells you they will call back rest assured they will, so no hanging around. Each step of your dealing with them is clearly explained and no cheap quotes to get in your home then to find out all the extras, the quote team are honest polite and never any pressure to take on anything you are not happy with and the quotes don't alter. The installers are also always on time in company representative uniform and vehicles, every care is taken to keep your home clean and tidy and again you are involved in every step of the way. No loud music, no swearing, no mobile phones constantly ringing and at no time was we made to feel like the company were doing us a favour by being in our home, and hardly any tea stops. Sometimes reviews do go on as I have but this company deserves all the praise it can get due to the whole companies efforts to make sure your work is completed to the highest standard. We also have the company complete our annual service and again three years later everything is just as good, nice friendly e mail of a service reminder, times that fit with you and the engineers again are always on time very polite and professional taking care to keep your home clean. I have no connection to the company other than being a very very satisfied customer who would always recommend CPH. Thank you

CPH just recently installed a brand new Central Heating System/Boiler and also a full Rewiring of our property. From start to finish, this company have been absolutely amazing. Communication via telephone and email has been excellent. They went through our quote more than twice, just to make sure they had everything and we were happy. They were polite, punctual, friendly, happy, hardworking, very approachable with any questions we had too. I couldn't have asked for more in a service. Martyn, Rob, Reece and Amy in the office were amazing. We appreciate the work they have done and thank them for setting up our new home exactly how we wanted it. I will definitely be asking them to come back for future work.

CPH were always our plumber of choice. They installed our central heating, and have done quite a bit of work for us in the past. Our shower/hot water pump developed an issue with the pressure vessel down on pressure, so we called them out. The first engineer said he didn't know how to do the job, so left - no charge. A couple of weeks later, another guy arrived. He couldn't pressurise the vessel, and said we would need a new pressure vessel, and he would check if it was available. We were charged £108 (he was here for less than half an hour, and couldn't cure the problem). We got an email from CPH saying the part was not available, so we would need a new pump at £614 including fitting, with no discount for the previous bill. I checked with the pump manufacturer, got a new pressure vessel for £44 and fitted it myself in half an hour or so, with advice from the manufacturer.

Have used Chelmsford Plumbing and Heating a few times since I moved in to my home last April. Fast response and provide great advice. Unfortunately my boiler (installed before I moved in) started leaking water the other day so I called them. Steve was happy to send someone out but suggested we speak to the manufacturer to check it's warranty status. It actually was under a warranty and a complete replacement was supplied and fitted at no cost. So thanks to CP&H for not only their great work but their honesty and best advice too. Can't recommend enough.

Always receive a great service from these guys. Knowledgeable (I learn something on every visit) and friendly engineers. Have used for years and many more to come.

I cannot praise this company enough. Lewis and his colleagues were polite, tidy, and professional at all times. The finish is flawless. The price was competitive, and their advice has been excellent. We had a completely new pressurised hot water system fitted in three days, with various other bits and pieces (such as a beautiful new radiator pictured). They removed all the old tanks, emersion heater and rubbish. Their quotation was clear and precise, and they have delivered on spec.

Not impressed and definitely not professional! Sent an online enquiry over Christmas, had a call back in the New Year and spoke to someone on the 2nd January to book in my boiler service. The only time they can guarantee is first thing in the morning so I booked in for 8am. I’m late shifts so didn’t get home until 2am, duly got up at half seven and I’ve been sitting waiting since 8am. After half an hour I’ve called the office “oh, sorry, you don’t appear to be in the diary today... no, you’ve not got the date wrong, we’ve got nothing in the diary for you at all”. No apology, just a “we can book you in for next week” Perfect. I’ve had less than five hours sleep so I would be up and the kitchen cleared for your arrival, and you’ve either not booked me in, or deleted my booking to make way for something more profitable.

Have had several jobs completed by these guys and will not use anyone else. Excellent service and always friendly and polite never felt 'done over'. In fact I recently had extensive plumbing done when changed kitchen around and the pipework is a true masterpiece.

Amazing service! They arranged for Rob to attend at such short notice (water dripping from the boiler on to the socket tripping the electrics etc). The service & professionalism was first class or old school. The work & cost was discussed beforehand, no grey areas & to be honest the cost was reasonable. I have used CP&H twice, including the replacement of a combination boiler and upgrade of my home central heating system. They have provided very good service, honest advice and aftercare. Pleasure to deal with a company that is organised and one that actually knows what they are doing; all too rare these days!!

Traditional skilled workers, but you will have to wait several days to be booked in - several days of cold water etc. There are other ways for dealing with your gas boiler problems. The one I found is cheaper, and can provide expert repairs that day - not available from CPH. Upgraded my annual inspection- should have done it years ago, but I thought a local firm was best.

Very upset that this company did unnecessary work. Had a leak coming from the lounge ceiling. Mark found the problem in the spare room heating pipes. Corrected it supposedly. £524 pounds later the same leak was still there. Called another company in and it was a frozen outdoor pipe that was to blame, not internal pipes. Pipe was sorted and leak stopped. Spoke with the manager who had no sympathy and refused any refund or accountability. You live and learn. I now pay for British Gas Homeserve to avoid large bills especially the ones by unscrupulous companies!

Had a new Worcester Bosch boiler fitted , prompt and professional service. Couldn't get an appointment for British Gas to quote for 3 days! By that time CPH had fitted my new boiler and was up n running :-) . I would and have recommended them.

They replaced a Heat Exchanger. It leaked twice. Water through ceiling twice. 10 months later leaking through ceiling again. They came and said there is no kit to replace Heat Exchanger parts. Also claimed the pump was leaking and top of boiler had a water leak. And would need a water pressure reducer fitting. When I said I only wanted Heat Exchanger fixing he packed his bag and said that as there had been a previous claim his boss had told him not to do any work. Got a plumber recommended by a friend. Water pump was not leaking. No leak from top of boiler. And no need for pressure reducing valve. He removed the Heat Exchanger and replaced the rubber O ring without issue. The rubber O ring that they had fitted was much smaller than the correct size. It also had a nick out of it, which was why it was leaking. And contrary to what they said about there being no kit, the rubber O ring was available from where they bought the Heat Exchange.
