Hancocks turned up when promised and undertook the work in a professional and friendly manner.

Had a small leak under the sink. I was booked a two hour slot a day later - excellent. The engineer arrived, listened, appraised and completed in approx 30 mins changing the one part that had expired. Booking over the phone was polite and efficient (you can also book online) The engineer was polite, punctual, well turned out ( I know that's not essential as people could have been working all day, but it reflects well on the firm) and keen to get on. Overall, it was a great experience and a company that will join my list of trusted companies. Thank-you.

Hancock's are my go-to plumbers for the partial bathroom refit. ( Removal of jacuzzi bath, replace with walk-in shower post hip op! ). Slight hiccup at planned start of work but this was resolved between us to our mutual satisfaction. Jake and his associate Matt were tasked with the job. They were a pleasure to have on site, - working diligently and collaboratively to get the job done. I am very pleased with the finished result and am very happy that small mods to the original has resulted in just the shower enclosure I wanted. The last day Aaron came to replace Matt, who had leave booked, and he too worked happily alongside Jake so that the job could be completed expeditiously. Would definitely recommend!!!

The plumber, Dennis, was polite, helpful and knowledgeable. He explained everything very thoroughly and sorted out an unexpected problem with a leak in the hot water feed pipe. I shall definitely ask for him if I require anything in the future.

S A Hancock came out at very short notice to fix a pipe I had damaged by drilling; their man gave 2 hours late on a Friday to repair the leak and at that same time discover our system need a bit of an overhaul - so I have a lot of time for their skill and customer focus

First time I have had to use Hancock Plumbing and Heating and it will not be my last. Service was excellent and efficient. They were quick to respond to my call and everything completed in a professional manner.

I was pleased with the job and the two minor problems occurring afterwards were quickly resolved and dealt with. My only criticism is that the engineer did not remove or cover his outdoor shoes and walked in and out of the house and into all my rooms including two bedrooms with brand new carpets wearing his shoes.

I needed to have a new gas boiler and chose SA Hancock Limited because having used the company before, I trusted them to do a thorough job which the engineer did and cleaned up the area after installation. I have recommended them to friends.

I had a leak from the rising main in the cupboard under the stairs - Hancocks asked for a photo, said they could deal with the problem, sent a plumber later that day who fixed it. And didn't charge a lot.

We had been having problems with our combi boiler and eventually it became hit or miss if it would ignite or not but we'd been living with this problem thinking that fixing it would probably mean a new boiler. Then we had smart meters installed and the smart meter fitter diagnosed a gas leak and isolated the supply! Urgent action needed - enter the white knights of Hancocks! The first visit confirmed that there was no gas leak, the boiler needed a new electronic control panel (both fixed there and then) and after a second visit to replace two leaking Auto Air Vents we now have a system that's working better than it has for many years, so a massive bill saved and all accomplished with the minimum of fuss by two excellent, credit-to-the-company technicians. In the future, Hancocks will always be our first port of call for any plumbing related problems. Absolutely first rate service.

I use SA Hancock every year to service the Gas Boiler (and for any other plumbing jobs I have). The boiler engineers are gas safe registered, always friendly, tidy and professional. The Service sheet I receive after the work is well laid out and provides all the appropriate service information. As a Facilities and compliance manager who has worked with many contractors over the years, I have never experienced a "Red Flag" about how they work or treat their customers. I would recommend them in a heartbeat!.

My Mum needed her faulty shower to be replaced. The team from Hancocks came to do the job, and also identified another item which needed to be replaced (for my Mum's convenience incase she ever needed to switch the water off). I cannot praise the team enough for their professionalism and care in explaining what they were doing. A very reasonable price for the work they did! Would happily recommend them!

My requirement was to arrange for the replacement of an ageing gas boiler, water pump, radiator and associated controls. My request for a quotation was promptly and efficiently handled by Luc, a start date was arranged and adhered to and the work was carried out by Jack, Toby and James. Luke appeared & immediately identified the problems with the system which frequent visit from British Gas had failed to do.He has so much expertise that he was able to offer us various options to fix this. At no point were we put under pressure to make a decision there and then. Once we'd decided the whole process was so straightforward, a date agreed and adhered to.Two exceptional plumbers and heating experts turned up to carry out the work. Sam and Alex have a wealth of experience & knowledge honed over time which meant they were able to overcome any problems they encountered. They're not only highly professional but take a great deal of pride in their work & the quality of the finished job reflects their craftmanship. Have always been happy with SA Hancock since I have started using them. I have found them to always be reliable and straight to the point. Martin came over to investigate why our oil boiler kept resetting. After some tinkering and a friendly chat he was able to fix the issue. If the issue persists then further work will be needed but for now the more cost effective route has been actioned. Will continue to use SA Hancock with the service I have been provided.

We had already switched off the Boiler the night before and so they carried out its annual service. At the end of the service Martin explained that they had to change a gasket on the boiler which had become faulty and showed us the defective part .This just goes to show how important it is to have appliances serviced regularly and not leave anything to chance. They were both extremely tidy and very professtional. On inspection of the leaking 30yr oldKitchen mixing tap, it was found to be leaking in several places where the cost of repair exceeded the price of a new tap and fitting and we now await to hear when they can return to complete that task. Once again full marks to Martin and his colleague and many thanks to a helpful firm to deal with.

We had a bit of a water emergency at our home recently and needed a plumber quickly. After calling SA Hancock a plumber was with us well within the promised hour and quickly and efficiently did the required repair. Thanks so much and of course the company’s contact details are saved in my contacts should we need them again.

I’ve asked for a quote for fitting and supplying a new boiler. I’ve had a visit from an engineer who took lots of photos and promised to provide one. 3 weeks have now passed and I’m still waiting for the quote. All I’ve been told is the quote has “fallen off the radar”.

I realised I had a leak coming through the ceiling downstairs at about 4pm. By 4:45pm a member of the team was here and able to isolate the leak for the night. He was back at 8:30am the next morning with the parts and it was all sorted in 30 mins. I couldn’t ask for more! The team coordinating on the phone and the plumbers were both excellent - they’ve always been my first call if we have any issues. Would thoroughly recommend!

Very efficient and capable as well as personable. The only thing I would improve upon is timing the arrival of the plumber. If you are given a time slot of say 2 to 5 on Friday. It would be useful to be notified early that day as to when that might be and then notified 30 minutes before the plumber comes so that you are sure to be around.

I had a toilet cistern issue which although was fixed easily enough, another issue occurred during the job that rendered the toilet unusable. Initially the company wanted to charge me to fix this but after I queried this and another visit from a more experienced plumber from the company following, the issue was resolved without further cost or issue. Company very professional in communications and eventual resolution. I know people who have used the company a lot with no issues so I think this was a genuine one-off thing. Would recommend and would be happy to use again. Update: Used again but guess what, another 'mistake'. They misdiagnosed the problem, vastly inflated costs on the estimate, then tried to charge me for the estimate. Unfortunately I now have to believe this company is either grossly incompetent or dishonest - and greedy. Do not use.

SA Hancock Ltd originally came into my life 18 months ago when they responded to a facebook post of mine saying how I had been ripped off by one of these pay monthly plumbing and heating engineer services and they wouldn't come out and do my boiler service although I had spent over £7k with them in subscription's over the years and not had one call out. They even gave me that figure. Hancocks offered me a free boiler service. When they came they said the boiler was very old, which it was and would probably only last another year at the most. I wasn't surprised it was 20 years old. So when it finally gave up the ghost this year 18 months later I called them out again. They were super efficient, came out on the day I called, assessed the situation, sent a surveyor out to price the work and I had a quote the next morning. They even offered me heaters to keep me warm while they sorted things out! I got my quote told them to go ahead, This was on the Friday, gave the go ahead on the Sunday and by the Wednesday morning all the work had been completed. The two young gentlemen were clean and tidy, respectful and easy to have around. They even cleaned up everywhere before they went to lunch in case I needed access to any of the areas they were working in. The electrician was great, equally clean, tidy and efficient and in all I couldn't have asked for a better service. They even programmed the boiler for me so I didn't have to worry and gave me a dummies instruction on how to use it. I would have no hesitation in recommending Hancocks to anyone wanting an efficient, friendly, reasonably priced service. They really to offer a good service, something that is hard to find these days. 5 Star, The Michelin Star of Heating Engineering in my opinion. Definitely staying in my phone book!!

Excellent service. Returned from a trip away at 6.30 on Wednesday morning to find that the boiler had developed a fault and we had no heat or hot water. Called S A Hancock at 9 and an engineer was with us before midday. Diagnosed fault and was able to get the hot water running. Would have had everything done the same day but had to wait 24 hours for a part. Fully working by 13.30 on Thursday. Could not possibly have asked for more.

On his initial visit to assess the extent of the leakage problem , Andy quickly advised that the solid floor in our breakfast room would need to be excavated to expose all the pipes running beneath the floor. A quote was received very quickly to carry out this work and replace all of the pipes with modern plastic piping. A quote was agreed and a date set for the work to be undertaken. The work was carried out by Andy and a colleague in the time agreed, with the minimum of fuss, and the site left clean and tidy. We were very impressed with their professionalism and would certainly use the company again should the need arise.

Problem diagnosed, needed a new boiler. Within 2 weeks we had an inspection, quote and the new boiler fully installed. Luke dropped by at short notice having noticed water running down the wall below the boiler cupboard. His professional approach to the problem was exceptional. After a thorough inspection of the boiler he took the time to investigate the possibilities of where the leak was coming from. All my questions where answered and a follow up call a week later to ensure there were no further problems.

I cannot speak highly enough of S A Hancock Ltd. They recently moved and replaced a boiler to a new position and completed the job with minimum of fuss. They advised me beforehand of what was required and kept me informed about how the job was going at every step.They also provided advice about changing radiators and worked in tandem with our decorator to help him too, when it came to fitting. They are about to start plumbing and heating for our new extension and I have full confidence in them. Speaking from my own experience this is a company you can trust and their quotes are competitive, too. Staff are very friendly and tidy. Really nothing not to like.

Sent picture and estimate ordered new tap and fitted by a very polite young man a couple of days later.Excellent service.

We had just moved into our new home and in addition to having no heating to the top floor, found a leaking radiator and bath waste. Conor and Jack arrived promptly on the day and were both friendly and courteous, and acted professionally, and ensured everything was left clean and tidy at the end of the day. Despite some issues due the age of the existing boiler and installation, they were able to get everything working again, and we will definitely be contacting SA Hancock again when we are in a better position to renew the entire system.

Excellent service from the initial visit to provide a quotation and then for the work undertaken on the day, that was accommodated at short notice, Connor was professional and explained what he was doing throughout, left everything clean &tidy both on initial visit and on the follow up.

Hancocks have done a good job in servicing our central heating system and it now works better than it has done for a long time.

Jack came and checked over the boiler and detected that the fan had stuck and so he dislodged it and got the boiler working again. He also advised us that we would need to have a new boiler soon as it was leaking in a number of places. Jack was polite and friendly.
