I first met Nick when I was renting a flat, where he carried out some work for my landlord. I knew I’d found a helpful and reliable handyman for when I bought my own house. Since buying my house, Nick has completed many jobs and has always been reliable and helpful. He’s patient, always happy to talk things through, and gives great advice and guidance when needed. As a woman living alone, it can be difficult to find someone you feel comfortable having in your home and trust to do the job properly. Nick really is invaluable, and his pricing is always very fair. I recommend Nick. I needed a headboard fittng to a wall. Nick came up with suggestions on the best way to do this. He was propmt, carried out the work efficiently and left the place neat and tidy and the job was reasonably priced. Will definitely use Childwall Home Solutions again.

My curtain pole is now back up, rock solid and honestly looks and feels as good as new. Nick also managed to sort out my bathroom window while he was here, something I’d been meaning to get dealt with for ages. He fitted a new window handle and everything is now working properly again. My bedroom curtain rail had fallen off, leaving quite a hole where the rail had been. Nick came out promptly at the agreed time and, over the course of two visits, put a new rail up for me and repaired the damage where the old one had been. He did a great job, was polite and very pleasant, and charged a price I thought extremely reasonable. I’ve already booked him to do another job for me and would happily do so again.

The initial quote seemed reasonable, but by the time the job was done, they added hidden fees. The work felt rushed, and they left a mess behind—paint splatters, dust, and debris everywhere. Definitely not worth the money!

Nick was amazing. He mounted our TV and built two IKEA wardrobes for us. He was meticulous and I cannot be any happier with how it all came out.

Nick did a great job replacing my cooker hood. He explained different solutions to some unexpected issues with clarity so that I understood the options open to me. When an extra part had to be ordered he returned as soon as possible to finish off the job. Nick was both professional and personable, as well as charging a fair price for the work completed. Silicone bead around bath and shower inconsistent and with gaps. Mould started developing within 6 months. now under a year later will need redoing. This is after I had to call him to come back after his first attempt looked awful, totally amateurish. might've done a better job myself. He's probably fine as long as all you need is a shelf putting up. Waste of time and money.

Nick responded really quickly to my initial inquiry, he was prompt, quick and efficient, would highly recommend.

I asked Nick if he could hang a bedroom door for me however it turned out not to be as simple as I thought and the job didn't come without a few obstacles along the way. In the end I ended up needing 2 doors hung but this did mean I now had 4 matching doors/handles on my landing and to be honest it looks much better. Regardless of how complex this not so simple job became, Nick was able to tackle the issues head on and did a fantastic job. The standard of Nicks work is extremely high and I found him just as professional and courteous. His time keeping and communication prior to arrival is also to be commended for as I've discovered in recent weeks, through house renovations, many tradesmen do not show the same level of respect. I would have no hesitation in using Nicks services again or recommending him to others.

Really nice guy. Did exactly what we asked, in the time frame agreed. Punctual, professional, polite, honest and kind. He told me exactly what he was doing and why. Did what we couldn’t! Nick fitted 4 curtain tracks, one was a bay window . Before hand Nick gave me advice on which tracks to buy. He fitted them within a couple of hours . I’ve now hung the curtains and they felt very sturdy . I am very happy with the work that Nick completed .

I contacted Nick to enquire whether he would be able to help connect a wooden rabbit hutch with an “Omlet” run system, we needed a specific size hole cutting and door fitting to the hutch to connect to the tunnel. A bit of an unusual job but Nick was happy to help, offering a time slot soon after I contacted him. Highly recommended!! Nick installed our integrated dishwasher and fixed some of our kitchen units. After his great job, he’s our handyman, installing from curtain poles to building furniture. He’s reliable, trustworthy and professional with reasonable prices. Don’t hesitate to call him if you have something to fix or renew in your house.

Nick is very professional and methodical. He built our greenhouse for us, which he hadn’t done before. It came in many, many pieces. It was 100 x worse than any Ikea cabinet to build, the instructions were like a foreign language. However he just cracked on with the job and before we knew it our greenhouse was built and looked awesome. Thanks Nick 😊

I can’t recommend Nick enough- in fact I’ve already spread the word amongst my friends who have now also used his services. Nick fitted an integrated bin to one of my cupboards and also put a tv on the wall. He is very quick to reply to messages and arrived promptly. He was very professional and considerate, wearing shoe protectors and cleaned up the mess left behind. I have spoke to him about other bits that need doing in the house, he was able to talk me through different options and ideas in order to come up with the best plan.

Nick did several small but important jobs for me at quite short notice. His workmanship was excellent and nothing was too much trouble for him. He left work areas clean and tidy. I then asked him back to do a small electrical job for me and he kindly agreed to do this early one evening when I was at home. Nick completed the building of my shed in a timely and professional manner. There was good communication throughout and I intend to use him again if I require any further work being done.

We requested a very short notice job to erect a trampoline for my daughter. We were really pleased when Nick said he could fit us in. He was punctual, smart and professional.
