We have used Swain and Rands in the past and follow their page on social media, saw they were doing a front door offer so decided to use them again. Really pleased with our new door and from start to finish they have been a pleasure to deal with. The door itself is excellent quality, had lots of colour and glass options to choose from and was fitted in the time frame quoted. Would recommend and would use again.

We purchased a new composite back door from Swain & Rands. The service from the first enquiry, quote,survey and fitting was first class. No pressure selling and patiently answered our questions and follow up queries. The fitting was a very clean and tidy job carried out to a high standard.

Process of quotation and answering questions by Ian was accurate, quick and price competitive. Martin did the measure up and clarified options and requests for openers, keyed-a-like lock barrels reuse. Lead time was as quoted and installation was on time and was a clean, neat job done by Stuart working very hard and efficiently with his wife supporting a good clean up. A few snagging issues reported at completion are due to be fixed when replacement parts arrive. Snags expected as was a four day job to replace 10 windows and 2 doors and french doors. Nick to follow up. Overall a good job and would recommend if anyone asks.

Going above and beyond in the show room, to a quick hassle free installation resulting in a pair of beautiful new doors that i couldnt be happier with. Excellent workmanship carried out by Calum to remove my very old bedroom sliding door which backed onto my garden. I was experiencing black cold areas on parts of my walls in my bedroom due to the lack of fresh air. I wanted a door and a window which I could open during the day and night. Swain's and Rands suggested a glass door and small window fitted within one frame. Brilliant idea and it works and looks great. Calum completed the job within a day. He was very courteous, friendly and knowledgeable, and when finished he tidied up after himself. He showed how the locks operated and got me to do it before he left. I highly recommend this company and I will certainly use them again. I must say it is lovely to sleep in my bedroom with an open window and feel totally safe and secure.

After major installations at our home, one large glass panel required replacement two years later. I contacted Ashlie at Swain & Rands and she couldn't have been more helpful. There was no issue from the company and it was agreed for a replacement panel within two weeks. However, the replacement panel arrived within a week and it was installed two days later, quickly and efficiently. I cannot praise highly enough the quality of service and interaction- with no mess, fuss or frustration Ashlie- you're a five-star!

Visited the showroom and was impressed by the professionalism and expertise of everyone at Swain & Rands in designing and installing the French windows to replace our patio doors. The lounge looks like a new room and we are very pleased with the results. The initial reaction of everyone who has seen the new French doors is "Wow".

Very friendly and helpful company. They came to us that day if there were any teething problems. Cleaned up after they installed all the new windows and front door.

I don’t often leave reviews but on this occasion I simply have to. We had a front door fitted a few years ago and we absolutely love the door and the service was first class. Recently the door became a “bit stiff”, knowing we was still under warranty we contacted Swain and Rands and in less than 24 hours we had someone round and it’s back to being prefect again. Great service from start to finish, would certainly recommend

Swain & Rands installed a new window with two openers after a burglar broke in by smashing the double glazing of the old one having failed to jemmy it open. They were friendly and efficient and organised the manufacture and fitting of the replacement within four weeks of me placing the order. Other companies I approached quoted a 10 - 12 week lead time. The new window has additional security features and looks 👌.

Darren did a fantastic job of sorting and repairing a lock issue with our front door. He came round at the end of his work day to see if it could be a quick fix. He wasn’t able to sort on the day as it was too late to get the part he needed. He came back next working day and had it all sorted in under an hour. Excellent communication, friendly, reasonably process. I would absolutely recommend, and will use again myself if needed in future.

Swain and Rands are without a doubt one of the best businesses I have ever dealt with. Extremely reliable, trustworthy and prices that are fair and reasonable. The customer service is fantastic, ensuring you are kept up to date at every point of the project with great communication. Every member of their team that we have met is very friendly and professional. There is nothing I can fault them on or even recommend could be improved. We have used them for a number of years now and will continue to do so.

This is the second time we have used Swain & Rands to improve our home and we were not disappointed, just like the porch they did in 2022 the quality of work on replacing our conservatory roof was first class. Mark and Darren were meticulous in planning every stage of the work and keeping us updated, and Callum and his brother Raff worked like trojans through difficult cold weather and made sure everything was left clean and tidy at the end of each day and they appreciated the many cups of tea and biscuits we provided so stock up beforehand. Must give a special call out to Andy the plasterer who's work is exceptionally high class and looks amazing and also Dave who finished of the guttering and trims. We ordered a new front door and had it fitted today. The service and response to our queries was excellent. I really can’t believe how stress free the whole experience was and the door looks incredible, our old door and any rubbish were removed. One window no longer weatherproof, and water pouring through during heavy rain. Even though the installation is less than five years old S&R are not interested in honouring their guarantee as the property has since changed hands. No discussion or good will gesture, just a straight no. Disappointing.

I ultimately went elsewhere due to experience with a previous company who offered a comparable price, but I do wish to leave some words of praise for Lee at Swain and Rands as despite not winning my business were a very close 2nd. The quoted price for windows and doors was fair and in line with the competition. During the quote process he was friendly and offered useful advice around choosing fixtures, colours etc. I would certainly consider using in the future.

A massive thank you to everyone at Swain and Rands. We were extremely impressed by the service, highly professional, well organised, thorough and the price was very competitive. Communication was excellent and the installers took great care and were extremely tidy.

If you have questions. Dont bother. If you aren't sure what you need. don't waste your time. We were new to the enquiries of a lean-to or conservatory and were spoken to like absolute garbage. We needed certain reassurances and specific information to be voiced so we could pass it on to other parties but instead we were treated like we didn't want to spend 50 grand so we didn't matter. We have since spoken to other companies who have been really honest and clear about everything we needed to know and were friendly. Don't waste your time.

Not only did they do a magnificent job in planning and installing our new conservatory, but their after-sales service is excellent too. We noticed some manufacturing defects in three of the glass panels and they were quick to organise and fit replacements under warranty. A highly reputable company.

Warmer home roofing system Rob and James worked well as a team, keeping the area clear and considering the inclement weather, managed the job efficiently and effectively. Attention to detail was good in all aspects of the fit. Communication to us at the start and end of the day about the job and expectations. Planned other trades to complete the job in specified time schedule. Highly recommend the company.

Although I was pleased with the installation of four windows, it is only when there is a problem that you really know what a company is like. I discovered a scratch in the high cloakroom window seven weeks after installation as had not looked closely prior to that, due to health issues. Despite other glazing companies stating they would just have replaced it, Swain and Rands insisted not only on charging me for a replacement sealed unit but demanded payment prior to them coming to replace it. Four months after paying they still could not supply an undamaged unit so eventually got my money back and have gone with another company. The bathroom window, which had faulty catch mechanism took three attempts and four months to resolve so I will never use this company again. Although I asked for their independent complaints procedure was told it was all dealt with by their admin lady - hardly independent
