West Bridgford Glass Co Ltd

West Bridgford glass gave an absolutely fantastic service. We needed a glass balcony guard rail fitting. They came to site and identified all the issues, risks and challenges. Once the pre work was completed, they delivered an outstanding solution. They were very easy to work with throughout the entire customer journey - even out of hours. Darrell, Paul and the team are the ultimate professionals. They are considerate, communicative, caring, courteous and patient. We highjh recommend West Bridgford Glass.

I had replacement double glazed window panes fitted in our kitchen and they look fantastic. Lee and Paul were efficient and polite and cleared up when they had finished.Great service and a competative price. I would throughly recommend

Can I just say the advice I received from Darrell of West Bridgford Glass (Smashing Glass) was exemplary. What is a really complicated subject for somebody who is not involved in this work he helped me navigate the issues and explained everything in an easy to understand manner and made the choice of glass panels we needed for our bi-fold doors and lantern lights relatively easy to make. Thank you very much indeed.

West Bridgford glass installed 14 new panes in our wooden south facing conservatory. We wanted to explore glazing options that would help with the heat in summer and cold in winter, giving us a more usable space year round. Darell was really helpful & explained the glazing options simply and clearly. We went for Pilkington Insulight Sun and so far have been impressed by its performance, particularly in the recent heatwave. It was still hot in the conservatory on the worst days of heatwave, but cooler than it had been with the regular glass. The fitters were brilliant & what was a fairly big job, took just over a day. Very pleased with the whole experience and outcome.

Thank you to Lee and Paul who today replaced some of our conservatory windows. We are delighted with the job. They were both efficient, very pleasant and tidy. Thanks again Lee and Paul.

Very friendly and really helpful. Nothing seemed too much trouble. I would highly recommend any glazing needs to come here.

Fab job, quick, efficient and professional thank you, highly recommend.

West Bridgford Glass have carried out an amazing repair to a damaged leaded-light glass panel on an antique book cabinet. They have provided an excellent, swift, professional and friendly service. I would highly recommend - thank you Simon for being so helpful

Very prompt response from Victoria to our initial enquiry. Pleased to be progressing.

West Bridgford Glass sorted a replacement window for us in our patio doors. Really friendly and quick service and reasonably priced too. Would recommend them. Thank you Simon!

Easy and speedy - bloke came round and sorted my issue on the spot and for cheap. Highly recommended!

Thanks Simon and team for your excellent customer service. Had a cracked window panel replaced/cat flap installed into glass and a new front door. All done to a high standard.

The guys came out to sort out my bi-folding doors which were incorrectly fitted by another company. The issues were complex but they sorted them out in just over a couple of hours and charged exactly what was quoted. VERY satisfied!!

Was referred from Acorn Windows to West Bridgford Glass as I needed one double-glazed unit replaced rather than a full set of windows. Very happy with the experience, very quick and efficient process from measuring up, through a wait of a week while the unit was built and then fitting and removal/disposal of the old unit. Very reasonably priced, friendly and professional staff. Highly recommended, would definitely use them again. Edit - Jan 2024: Used them again! Great reliable responsive local company! Had a broken window hinge and couldn't get the window closed just as all the freezing weather started. Paul came out same day and got the window closed then came back later the same week and fixed it. Reasonable pricing and swift service. Absolutely my Go-To guys now for window stuff

Fitted a couple of replacement double-glazed windows recently and did a perfect job in good time. The replaced windows were manufactured some time ago by another company which had begun to leak and they managed to reproduce them perfectly.

If you want a catflap installing into a glass door don’t even consider anyone else ever!!! Simon is just incredible and has installed 2 catflaps for me now; and the patience, detail, plus great prices are just untouchable compared to anyone else in the county!! 😍🤯 Thank you so so much. Here’s both catflaps he fitted into new glass and then installed for me! Thanks to all there!

Excellent service

If its a cat flap you need fixing in a double glazed unit this is the 'go to' company. And I've no doubt they bring the same level of skill and attention to detail for all the other services that they provide. Excellent customer service and support. So thank you Simon and, of course, Victoria.

So refreshing to find this company who genuinely do put their customers first. From reception to Simon and Paul's visit customer service was exceptional. Thank you WBG

Exceptional service. Highly recommended.

Very fast service with an extra extra cost

They changed a window in my existing patio doors complete with a cat flap opening in the glass and fitted the cat flap. very good service all the way through highly recommend, survey was very professional and the fitter went above and beyond to make this work for us. very pleased so is the cat!

Highly recommended. We are delighted with the double glazing units produced which encapsulated our original leaded windows. We only expected the original windows to be cleaned, however a small section which was cracked was replaced using original glass which was a lovely surprise. Lovely friendly service from Simon. Very reasonably priced too. Would not go anywhere else.

I love this company, they are friendly and ridiculously efficient. They offer excellent value for money. They turn up when they say they will, they answer their phone quickly and they give realistic quotes with no hidden extras. I would recommend them highly, they are my favourite company!

Very lucky: rang Monday, new glass installed Wednesday. Great service

We were really impressed with the service and turnaround time :) My dad recommended WBG (he used them about 10 years ago!) andI was glad of the reccommendation. Cheaper than most other companies we had quotes from for installing a cat flap. Simon was very personable, contact was great, overall service was fab and the quality was great also! They provided personalised advice and problem solved for us, Thank you to everyone in the team!

West bridgford glass came out to help with a conservatory roof. Struggled to get any other company to do any other than quote for a new roof. They came out and fixed our problem within a couple of hours which we were not expecting. Extremely pleased with the service. Always would recommend. Nice to find a company that are honest, reliable and don't try to quote you for work not required. Definitely would have them back if needed.

Yes had glass cut to size there today. Good location.

Simon is top man over there ,he is so helpful and friendly and no need a comment about glass I just received what I wanted ,

West Bridgford is an awful town massively improved by West Bridgford Glass being based in its heart, always a pleasure to deal with, having a good variation of products at great prices

West Bridgford glass have just replaced the Victorian glass in my internal doors with new safety glass. Superb service, especially as Victorian doors can be a bit cranky with their age! Paul the fitter was exceptionally good. No mess, excellent job! Thanks guys!

Quick service but a little expensive

Excellent service, very helpful and friendly

Simon and the team were absolutely brilliant at accommodating a very difficult job. I needed 3 lots of glass replacing on two drawers and a table top that were smashed during a house move. Such professionalism and humour in these difficult times made it an absolute pleasure to deal with such a wonderful company. Thank you, thank you, thank you for restoring 3 pieces of furniture that I love! West Bridgford Glass - you are AMAZING and I would not hesitate to recommend you!

Very good service friendly staff. 69 is my favorite number, wonder why?

Called in today to see if it was possible to cut 2 triangles from 2 square panes of greenhouse glass that I had been carrying around in my car for a week. Simon did this for me straight away. Fantastic service. Thank you Simon, you're a star! My greenhouse is now complete.

I Used West Bridgford Glass, recently to replace all my old misted up conservatory windows, Simon at the shop was very helpful with plenty of ideas and guidance to suit my budget, Paul who carried out the works onsite is a first class fitter , I would highly recommend the team at West Bridgford Glass to anyone.

Very friendly and helpful service.

Called at short notice to replace a glass panel in a door, they arrived 20 mins later and in 10 mins it was all done. Excellent service.

Smashing

The service was prompt and the fitter Paul gave us some great advise which was actually an undersell for the company so that was nice to see. It has simply been the icing on the cake for our new kitchen and extension, would we use them again for other jobs, YES without a doubt, thanks guys great job.

Great service, friendly staff.

Used this place twice now for something very small, just needed so glazing putty and the chap couldn't be any more helpful. Thanks again Clayton

can't thank him enough. I decided to finally fix a pane of glass in my front door and within 5 minutes of entering the shop he had cut a piece for £5 that ended up fitting perfectly. Thanks so much!

Could have been good but closed when supposed to be open. Travelled from Loughborough only to find them closed.

excellent service.

Fixed our window promptly and did a very nice job. Would recommend to others.

We had a great experience with this company. We were having replacement glass done to our front door. We popped in for a quote when we were passing and before we knew it they had quoted, were sending someone to measure the job straight away and got us booked in with hardly any waiting time. No fuss or stress. The team in the shop and the fitters were really friendly and informative and prices conpetitive. Would definately use again and recommend!

Not very good at all unfortunately. Started out well enough, a guy turned up to measure for some replacement double glazed units and a (fairly good) price was supplied. Then things took a turn for the worst. A grumpy guy turned up and started moaning, he'd apparently not 'been told' that the wooden beading needed to be replaced (when this was specifically noted by the guy giving the quote). He tried digging a few pieces of rotten timber out of our bin (us having replaced a different bit of beading the previous day). Then he complained that he didn't have any wood to do it. Then he announced that all the glass was the wrong size and wouldn't fit properly, but he could bodge it in if we wanted, and he didn't have any beading so would just have to use a bit of putty to cover the gap at the outside. Then he announced that one window frame was rotten and he couldn't do anything about it (despite the guy who quoted saying it was fine). They offered to re-book and re-make the glass, and they've offered to fit the glass once we've sorted out the rotten window. We've decided to get a company in who know's what they're doing, you know one that can measure the size of bits of square glass needed to go into square holes, that sort of thing. Fairly advanced stuff for a glazing company apparently! Probably best looking elsewhere if you're after some glazing work, they came very highly recommended but things look to have slipped in recent years!

Just ordered a replacement mirror. Reasonable price, kept in touch re delivery (as needed to be sent away for drilling a hole). Very friendly staff.

Used to be brillant and helpful. Not anymore.
