I would avoid this company just called them up this morning to ask if my mirror has arrived as it was doing yesterday and I must’ve had the rudest man so unhelpful basically he couldn’t wait to get me off. The phone definitely needs training and customer services hopefully the product will arrive today And then I’ll give them an honest review on the product but their customer services and the bloke I spoke to this morning in my eyes even have a job his answer to my question was we’re just a small fish in the pond. We’re not gonna know where your delivery is When he could’ve just said. Problem, sir let me chase up that delivery for you so my review on them so far has to be on their customer services which is terrible

A couple of years ago Hockey's replaced all our external doors and did a fantastic job, so when it was time to replace the windows there was only one place to go.The experience this time was as good as before. The initial visit from Jimmy to help us decide what we wanted, to the visit from Dave to make accurate measurements and survey, then the two man installation team of Chris and Harry who explained their plan of action, everything could not have gone smoother. Chris and Harry were here early every day and did a really good job of cleaning up after themselves leaving no mess for us. This is a really fantastic local company whose staff go the extra mile in product quality and customer satisfaction.

We recently had Hockleys replace all exterior windows and doors at our property as well as modernise the Fascias, Soffits and guttering. From the install contact, the process was painless with doudle and triple checking of our order to make sure it was correct. Dave even made a suggestion for the french doors that we hadn't thought of! You would not get this sort of service with one of the big Windows companies. The fitting team of Chris and Harry spent over a week on the job and worked like trojans every day, overcoming a couple of challenges easily. These guys were so professional and the attention to detail first class. They've made such a great job that I don't think I will need to use Hockleys services anytime soon (in the nicest possible way 😊) but I 100% recommend them for all your Window needs. We wanted to leave our review because we recently had our sash windows and balcony door & windows replaced and were very impressed with the service we received from start to finish. From meeting Jim,Dave and the office staff plus a very competitive price, we felt in good hands. The workmanship was excellent - Chris & Harry turned up on time and worked throughout the day taking care and showing respect for our home. Over the years ive had various companies fit double glazing in different propertis and as soon as theres a problem they take a life time to remedy it or worse still they just ignore you . My son recommende Hockleys, which i took the plunge, their whole processess were very profesionaly handed . They have an indepth brochure with everything A rated to the latest standards plus 10 year gaurentee Windows , doors , framing & conservertories against warping and discolouring plus 10 years for Double glazed units & door panels failures . Hockleys have recently replaced 6 leaded windows plus secondary glazing with new units in our 100 year old house. We were most impressed by the friendly and informed people we dealt with and the efficient way the work was carried out. The house is distinctly warmer...and quieter.

Hockleys have just installed a double glazed window in our house, when we found that an old window had been bricked up and plaster-boarded over. Fantastic experience from the word go. Phone is always answered. Receptionist is friendly, polite and incredibly helpful (Thank you Georgie). Jimmy came round took thorough measurements, explained the process went away to do the quote, came back to us with the quote which was 'surprisingly' good value (I'd been led to believe Hockleys were quite expensive - I'm happy to say - not true!). The window was installed exactly when they said it would be. Two installers turned up on time, with the least amount of fuss, installed a tower scaffold to the outside of the house, removed the old bricked-in window - replaced with the new from the inside, made good the surround both inside and out. EXCEPTIONALLY GOOD WORK. To say we are pleased with them and their work is an understatement. Without hesitation I'd use them again. We 100% refer them to anyone needing a Glass / Double Glazing / Window specialist company. It is very refreshing to find a company that 'exceeds' expectation on every level. Thank you.

Hockley windows is a family run company and this says it all. From the moment you call them to completion you are happy all the way through. Nothing is too much trouble. They are friendly and professional at the same time. They have a very high spec products at good prices and I can honestly say this company do not rip you off. We had 2 guys fitting our windows, they turned up everyday on time, explained what they were doing that day, they laid sheets on the floors and they hoovered up after themselves when they finished, what more could you ask for. I honestly cannot recommend this company more. The big boy companies treat you as a number, Hockley windows actually treat you as a friend but in a professional manner. I will be recommending them and I will be returning. Thank you guys for a excellent job !!

Had a porch built by Hockleys, and am very happy with the end result. Very friendly and efficient workers. They were clean and tided up every day. The entire job was well organised, would recommend them and use again.

Hockleys delivered and installed a set of 5 new window frames and glass for us in November 2022 at our second floor flat in Frinton. The sales people who measured up and checked measurements were helpful with advice and the quote was competitive. Despite bad weather at the time, the windows were installed from the inside with minimal disruption and without damage to the surrounds. The installers were friendly and professional and in the opinion of my wife and myself created a very successful installation which was and remains much appreciated. They fixed double glazed vent window, within the week. Fitters were very helpful and friendly. Also having a quote done for some windows and door to the front of the house. They have now completed the windows and door, staff very professional and even pointed out a small crack on one of the windows which they put in, which as promised was changed the following morning. Excellent service throughout.

I wanted two double glazed units to replace single pane glass. Went along with dimensions, listened to advice and recommendations and placed an order on Tuesday. Collected them on Friday! AND they were half the price I could get them on-line. Great service.

Had the whole front of my home revamped by these guys, absolutely amazed at the transormation, I would recommend these guys to anyone who is looking for double glazing in clacton and surrounding areas

I had asked for not only a specific size glass cut but also some intricut work at the back of the glass to be cut out. After a few attempts they provided the exact piece I had asked for, fits perfectly. Very greatful thanks

Absolute rubbish only interested if you want double glazing at inflated prices ask them to cut you a piece of four mm glass and they dont know which end of s ruler to hold 4mm is not 2.5mm

I'm writing this review for Dave Ashdown, because he was the only person at Hockleys who was honest with me! Cutting a very long story short, I wanted a conservatory at probably the worse time ever because of covid restrictions, but finally we got our conservatory fitted earlier this year. Dave done a lovely professional job and we are very pleased with it. Thanks Dave for everything and we will be in touch soon for windows. Also I would like to give a big thank you to our builder who completed the base work etc Bob Meakin, his work was superb and he was always very friendly and helpful. Another thank you to John Casley (electrician) he worked to our requirements with a complete rewire of kitchen, done a great job and finally thanks to Chris Thurlow who done all our plastering, used Chris for years as he always friendly and does a great job. Feel free to ask for any of these guys numbers as I would highly recommend all of them. Cheers Rob

I contacted them about the price of a small piece of glass for a clock face. The owner said that it would be no more than £2. I went there & it was £3. Not that big of a deal, but it jumped 50% in 24 hours.

Found them on Google and phoned for a quote for the piece of glass I needed. Popped in the next day and was served immediately. They charged me more than the quote but only marginally. Staff were nice though

We have used Hockleys for over fifteen years for all our glass requirements including greenhouse glass and custom mirrors. Recently we have had replacement windows that copy the design of the originals. All the fitters have been eager to please and did a great job. Problems sometimes arise on big installations but the team work very hard to resolve them and give complete customer satisfaction. I prefer to use a long standing local company that values it's deserved excellent reputation .

I don't advise using hockleys for a window replacement they came to replace a window for us and they where rude and left broken glass everywhere knowing full well we have a dog appalling customer service!!
