The Joinery Shop

Excellent quality, excellent friendly service. I would not recommend any other company. Thanks so much Bashir.

Not the cheapest but good quality and after sales service coverage. Reliable provider

I needed a dormer window made on a very tight turnaround to align with a new roof being installed, so I went to The Joinery Shop and spoke with the owner, Bashir. He was patient, kind, and very informative, and the pricing and lead times were very competitive, which made the decision easy. The window was extremely well made, with high-quality hardware and finish. The work was carried out by Hussein, who was professional, diligent, and clearly takes pride in what he does. Everything was completed to a high standard and left very clean, which I really appreciated as I had a guest arriving shortly after. I would definitely recommend The Joinery Shop. Both Bashir and Hussein were excellent throughout, and I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again for future windows.

Bashir and Hussein have done the most wonderful job on our new windows and kitchen fire door. They are perfectionists who truly care about doing the best job possible. We are so thrilled with what they have created and installed for us. Highly recommended!

So helpful. Really thought how to make the most cost efficient solution to a problem.

Excellent work - high quality materials and great construction.

Bashir and his team were great. The project was well executed, delivered on time and the team were extremely helpful with advising us on the installation and ensuring everything fitted smoothly. We would thoroughly recommend their services to others.

I highly recommend Bashir at the joinery shop in Finsbury Park. He made a new front door and helped me put back the joinery at the entrance to help it match the Victorian terrace the house sits in. He did such a good job, everyone just thinks it was always like this! He also fitted a couple of specially designed leaded painted glass panels into the door (fronted by safety glass). This was all back in 2017 and now in 2026 we are moving and wanted to take the special panels with us. With his colleague Hussein's help, Bashir once again has done an amazing job at getting the old fragile panels out for me, making them safe for transport and putting in new replacements ones. I am delighted with the work, the workmanship and he charges very reasonably. If I can add pictures here I will! I am really delighted with him and his work.

Highly recommend and very pleased with my new door

I have worked with The Joinery Shop for a number of years on several projects. They have supplied my company with a range of bespoke replacement sash windows and frames, a heritage-style shop front, residential doors and staircases, all to a very high standard of quality and detail. Bashir is a pleasure to deal with and is the 'go-to' for my company's architect and builder, which speaks volumes in itself. Julian Berger, Circle Land Limited

Excellent - really good friendly and professional service!

We used The Joinery Shop around 10 years ago and they were brilliant; great craftsmen and great customer service. Recently we had some 'wear and tear' issues with the work they did for us and the couldn't have been more helpful in rectifying the problem albeit at no profit for them! A great company.

This is the best front door we have installed in years. We work on high-end residential projects across London, and The Joinery Shop has certainly met the mark. The craftsmanship is excellent, and the team highly professional. We would not hesitate to specify their doors again.

I am extremely pleased with the service I received. The customer service is truly top-notch and extends well beyond the installation. I commissioned Bashir to build a front door for my home, and after it was installed, ongoing building work at my property caused the key to become a bit stiff. I called Bashir, and he immediately explained exactly what to do to get the key working properly again. This really showed me that his customer care doesn’t end once the job is done. He makes you feel valued, and speaking with him feels like talking to someone you’ve known for a long time. The finished product is of such a high standard—not only do I love my front door, but my neighbours can’t stop complimenting it. 5 stars is not enough!

Bashir has done a great job replacing a full set of sash windows in our house. Always friendly, polite, responsive and great value for money. I highly recommend them.

The team was great and very professional, they took on a job to replace a window when nearly a dozen other teams had taken a look and refused the project. Great job and great work!

Bashir was brilliant! Really helpful advice and great service. Quick turn around and good quality which met the brief perfectly. Highly recommended for making sash window frames-could not have have got better.added to this the price was the best value across north London.

Very good professional work. Very happy with my new double glazed window. Would definitely recommend the joinery shop London to Family and friends.

I recently had new windows fitted. Good clear communication before, during and after. Personable and friendly service from Bashir and his fitters who were quiet, respectful and left my room today and clean. The windows look great and the price was fair. If you want to support local business then I would highly recommend.

I can't think of a more attentive person than Bashir. He is not only an expert but also a kind human being. I warmly recommend the Joinery Shop.

The Joinery Shop is a trusted source for high-spec bespoke joinery. They are willing to work accurately to detailed design proposals and are proficient at producing large scale orders. Studio Acre continue to use them for residential refurbishments in London as we are confident they can provide a high level of workmanship and deliver to a tight deadline.

What a great job by @BashirJoinery. Clean & efficient, work completed at the exact finish time promised. Great value too.

Bashir's work was amazing. He made windows, built in wardrobes and bathroom cabinets for a house refurbishment and all were produced and installed beautifully. I would highly recommend him to anyone!

10 years ago the Joinery Shop built windows and doors for our Muswell Hill renovation and did a absolutely fantastic job. Double glazed units pretty indistinguishable from the original Edwardian windows. 10 years later everything is still in great shape. Can't recommend Bashir highly enough!

Brilliant, first class service and very reliable.

Bashir and his team did our front sash bay windows a few years back and we are really happy with them. The team were fast and tidy, and the windows are still looking great.

Great quality windows with matching great service.

Bashir is very experienced, has great suggestions- thoughtful, reliable 'service' at every point in the process!

We've used The Joinery Shop on two separate occasions to put in sash windows and very happy with both the quality of the windows and the service provided. Very happy to support and recommend to you this great local business.

Double Bay window fitted with all the finishing done to perfection. Owner was always on hand to update on progress and was very easy to communicate with. Price was the cheapest out of all the quotes I got but the workmanship was exemplary. I would highly recommend

Bashir and his team did a great job in our flat, we're extremely happy with the result. Would definitely recommend.

I approached the Joinery Shop to install additional shelving in my study, a project with some logistical challenges. Bashir and his team understood just what I wanted and installed beautiful, solid floating shelves that I am delighted with. The service was highly professional and thoughtful and I certainly intend to use them for other projects in the future.

Delighted with the work - making and fitting a glazed external door. High level of expertise and detailed focus ensuring high quality results

Bashir was recommended by our builder Tim who had used him on many occasions. We live on on old Georgian house from 1827, which is grade two listed. The building is split into four separate flats. Bashir made new replacement sash windows for all the flats and they look amazing. Our old front door was decrepit as were our rear French doors. We took the opportunity to replace both doors and we are overjoyed with the result. Both doors have triple locks, which turned out to be a godsend when burglars failed to gain access because of the strength of metal triple lock mechanism. Bashir was a joy to deal with, very knowledgeable and helpful. Anthony and Jane South London

Bashir and team replaced all of our windows 12 years ago and was back this year to do some necessary repairs. It is great to have consistency of a team. The quality of work and dependability is high. Recommended.

Bashir and team provided excellent service, value and quality for us when we had our french windows replaced in our house in North London.

High quality work, excellent service, highly recommended.

Tremendous service. Friendly, fast and very skilled. Shop here and you won't be disappointed.

Bashir and his team have installed new windows and French doors in most of our rooms and they fit perfectly and look great!

The Joinery Shop team did the most incredible work to the replacement timber framed sash windows to the entire house, with new sash windows and a new loft staircase to the extension on my property. I have had many people ask who did the work and always give them The Joinery Shop details due to the quality and professionalism . The crew where fast and quick, and left the house clean and tidy. I am looking for work to be done on a cabinet in the kitchen area and will have no qualms about talking with them, as the level of detail thinking and quality is 5 star.

I recently worked with [the joinery shop], a windows and doors joinery company, and I am thoroughly impressed with their craftsmanship. From start to finish, their team was professional, efficient, and highly skilled. The quality of the materials and the attention to detail in both the windows and doors exceeded my expectations. They were attentive to my design preferences and provided valuable suggestions to enhance the overall look and functionality. Installation was smooth, and they left the site clean and tidy. I would highly recommend them for any joinery project.

Over the past fifteen years or so I have bought doors, windows and shutters from Wooden Frames. The fitting and design is of incredible quality and years after they still look good. I am a very happy customer. Dr Dick McCaw

Bash and his team did a super job - rooms are considerably warmer and the sashes look great.

Very high standard of joinery. Always on time and very good price

I waited 4 years before posting a review of Joinery Shop and I have not been disappointed with their work replacing my front doors. They arrived on time, removed the original leaky doors and replaced them with new, waterproof and windproof copies which I am very pleased with. An excellent job.

We've had two large windows fabricated and fitted by Bash and his team. We sought facsimile copies of Edwardian sashes and they delivered. They are beautifully made and were fitted without fuss. We will be using them again as we roll... You might have to chase for the FENSA cert!

Great company, have carried out numerous different joinery projects for us, from windows, doors to built in wardrobes. Would highly recommend.

We had our double glazed sash windows made and fitted by The Joinery Shop. Bashir came for the site measurements and advised us on using Accoya timber for the sash windows. Five years later they are as good as the day they were fitted we are still very pleased with the result! The guys were a pleasure to have in our home and the job was done quickly on time and budget. The rooms feel much warmer now, no more draughty old windows and the overall service was excellent. We would have no hesitation in recommending Bashir at the joinery shop

Iv employed these guys for years and their work is always 101% Wouldn't use anyone else ! Alex

We’ve been delighted with the work that The Joinery Shop has done for us as part of an extensive house renovation and building of a studio in the garden. The joinery was made to a high specification and required absolute precision and coordination with our builders. Bashir and his team did a fantastic job and always with a smile. We highly recommend them.

We had new wooden double glazed sash windows made to replace our single glazed ones. Bashir from the joinery shop came over and did the measurements and discussed everything in a clear way. We were very happy with the result . The windows look good and our house is much warmer! I would recommend the joinery shop!

The Joinery Shop replaced all of our sash windows with like for like double glazed sashes. The quality of the windows is very high. It is very noticeable how little outside noise comes into the house now - and I am sure we will feel warmer this winter. Would definitely recommend them.

We needed some wood chips for an urgent project. They supplies us with what we needed right away and without hassle. Great service and very friendly staff!

Bashir and his team made my beautiful new wardrobes and I'm so happy with them. The installation was really smooth and they took great care to protect everything else in the room to ensure nothing was damaged. Would definitely recommend.

Bashir’s team were very professional and I am very happy with the door which walls hand-made in the UK

Bashir Choutee is a very nice man who works intelligently to meet your brief. He is a top grade craftsperson. I do not say this lightly. I know quite a lot about wood as my father was a very discerning cabinet maker. The frames and sashes that come from Bashir’s Finsbury Park workshop both look and feel different to those we have had installed previously from other North London workshops. Bashir has invested in a spindle which enables smoother, tighter fitting double glazing to be installed. This service is not widely available. The sound difference is considerable. We love the enormous new windows he designed and installed for us. We feel the cost was was well justified. However, I should also say, that his was not the most expensive of the three quotes we sort and the other two companies proposed to have the work made in Poland. I would definitely ask Bashir to make further frames should we need them and recommend him highly.

A top tier firm with a genuine approach to providing an innovative service - the team on site was engaging and really took the time to perfect the details. I’ve already got my next project lined up for them 💫

Bashir and his team have made 20+ windows and 6 doors for me on a commercial basis and several items for my own place. Their work is to a very good standard, the prices are very fair and Bash is helpful and friendly.

We asked The Joinery Shop to refurbish our Victorian conservatory, saving all the original stained glass. They copied all the detailed joinery perfectly, and created double glazed panels after renovating the leaded glass. The finish is brilliant and the guys on site were great. On time and on budget. Highly recommended. We got them to make us a new garden gate while they were hear too!

First class work and first class service. I wouldn’t use anyone else.

Single -glazed Windows in my flat like-for like casement double glazed ones Bashir and his team were exceptionally recommended

I have worked with the Joinery shop for many years. We are main contractor builders and they have done numerous and various jobs for us from straight forward new windows through to making stairs out of site specific oak. Their work is always good quality and made with care, attention and knowledge for our requirements. Always happy to work with them and happy to continue doing so.

Excellent and knowledgeable service from this busy shop. Managed expectations well and delivered high quality windows that are a pleasure to use.

I have never left a bad review before but having recently had windows fitted by The Joinery Shop I feel the need to warn others. I found the whole experience stressful and unprofessional. It seems the owner has no regard for the customer and here is why: 1. I had to continually chase for confirmation of start date on weekly basis. The start date was moved with virtually no notice on several occasions. 2. The job of replacing windows, which should be done a room at a time, took over the whole house causing absolute chaos for 2 weeks because the boxes were not all ready and were delivered in dribs and drabs, even though the start date was apparently delayed so that everything was ready before starting. 3. Once the windows were finally fitted, no one turned up to paint them on the day arranged. No one called me to inform me of any changes or delays so once again it was left to me to find out what was happening. 4. After a few weeks, two of the windows were no longer closing because the weights provided were clearly too heavy. It took 3 messages and a threat of reporting this company to FENSA to get a response from the owner, who is unable to speak to customers with respect or apologize for anything. His only skill is chasing invoice payments. There are many joinery shops out there and I regret not using another company because no customer deserves to be treated like I was. The two stars are for actually having the windows and the fitter, who was very nice and professional but was a contractor and doesn't actually work for the Joinery Shop. All in all - avoid.

The staff was really helpful in a very trivial request, just for the sake of being helpful

Some wonderfully helpful staff work here, sorted my job out in no time - thank you!
