Gate Leak Detection

I discovered I had a water leak via a greatly increased bill from Thames Water. The first water leak detection company I approached kept saying they would get back to me and didn’t. When I phoned Gate Leak Detection I immediately spoke to Greg the owner of the company who told me how much they would charge and gave me an appointment that suited me. Richard, the engineer, turned up when he said he would on the date agreed and discovered quickly that the leak was on the water meter outside my property and was the responsibility of Thames Water to fix. They provided me with a report which included photos and a video, which I have sent to Thames Water seeking reimbursement of the cost of leak detection and a reduction in the water bill. I cannot fault Gate Leak Detection Ltd, Greg and Richard were responsive, polite, kind and did what they said they would do.

Greg, the owner, was absolutely fantastic. He quickly identified and fixed my leak, and then stayed until 9pm to make sure everything was fully sorted and my family were completely up and running again. He’s personable, professional, and incredibly thorough — genuinely leaving no stone unturned. It’s rare to find this level of dedication and care. I can’t recommend Greg & Gate Leak detection highly enough.

Excellent company, had no quibble about coming to Norwich. Has a lengthy low pressure boiler problem gradually got down to zero pressure so called Greg who advised us how to monitor. Richie arranged to come out, arrived on due date and time. Thoroughly checked the system over, emptied and flushed. Found leak by using tracer gas, pipe under bathroom floor, repaired with minimum damage to floor. Re checked system all good, done over 2 days. Cleaned up Thoroughly Full report provided competitive prices. Thank you for an excellent service can highly recommend.

Really impressed with the service. Greg was very polite and helpful on the phone, and they arranged for someone to come out quickly which was exactly what I needed given the urgency. Richie came out to fix the leak and was professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. He quickly identified the problem and sorted it with minimal disruption, explaining everything clearly along the way. They were reliable, responsive, and took a lot of stress out of what could have been a much bigger issue. I’d definitely recommend them and would use them again in the future.

Richie found and repaired our leak with no fuss although it looked to be in an awkward place. He left our property tidy, was polite and helpful. He explained all the steps he was taking and what would happen after. Thoroughly professional.
