Very happy with the work done by this firm. They came recommended by neighbors, and we think they did an outstanding job. In our flat, we had two problems: Very hard water, and the storage heater was crazy large in our service cupboard. We decided to replace the storage heater with a smaller unit, freeing up space. A shelf was built over the top, and then a water softening unit installed to clean all the water entering the flat. The firm dealt with it all, end-to-end. Delivery exactly what was promised. The staff were all great. I would highly recommend them.

I found Natalie, Scott & Joe super helpful. From making my first call to enquire about water softeners for the hard water here in Poole. At every step the team have been professional, polite and knowledgeable whilst giving practical advice without a hard sell - which is rare and a bonus these days! An Aquabion has now fitted for a couple of days and although we know it won’t get rid of the hard water it softens it to make it manageable. Early indicators show a huge improvement with water quality and there is def less limescale in kettle and on showers.. I would 1000% recommend Wood & Williams to others and especially those with vulnerable relatives in the area as they are fair, honest and reliable . Thanks Team Wood & Williams

Wood and Williams installed a new Ideal boiler at my home address earlier this week. The engineer, Joe, completed the job, which included a full system flush and the installation of a new flue, in less than six hours. He created no mess and took away the old boiler and associated pipework and all the packaging from the new boiler. A very professional job in my opinion and I would certainly not hesitate to recommend this firm to others.

Excellent Service, Highly Recommended! I recently had a new unvented hot water system installed by this company, and I'm extremely pleased with the work. They efficiently removed the old tanks and cylinder, reinforced the loft space, and installed the new 150L slimline cylinder with all necessary valves and controls. The pipework was neatly done and well-insulated. They converted my old system to a sealed system, which I appreciate. The team was professional, courteous, and clearly explained everything they were doing. They handled the Gas Safe registration and manufacturer's warranty without any hassle. They even took care of disposing of all the old materials. Great value for the price, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone needing a new hot water system. Five stars!

Wood and Williams have serviced our boiler for a couple of years. They advised us last year that it was reaching the end of its life, and, when it started playing up within days of their scheduled visit this autumn, we knew the time had come. Having assessed the myriad issues, Joe very quickly provided us with a comprehensive cost breakdown for a replacement. He then moved several jobs around so that we weren't without heating and hot water for more than a day or so. Once the new boiler was fitted, he took the time to show us through all the controls, plus how to set the new room stats. We've struggled to find a really competent and reliable heating engineer (and bathroom fitter - they do that too!) for a few years. Wood and Williams have made that a thing of the past. Can't rate them highly enough, really.

We used Wood & Williams as part of our bathroom project to replace our hot water cylinder with a pressurised cylinder and to make extensive changes to the pipework. They were excellent, producing work of the highest quality and completing this on the agreed dates.
My old shower was not heating the water so I called Wood and Williams for a quote to replace it. They came the very next day with a replacement and fitted it very quickly at the most competitive price. Tidied up after themselves. We are completely satisfied by the work carried out by Joe and Scott following a leak in our heating system. This was a large job including trace and access, new flow and return pipework and reinstatement work. We opted for some surface mounted copper pipes with brass munsen ring clips which look amazing in our period property. They proposed the best solution having discussed the options with me prior to carrying out the work and also during the installation phase. I would not hesitate to recommend this company as all the work was carried out in a professional manner and to a high standard.
Joe and team were exceptional from beginning to end. Came in and quoted us for a few options, including some good ideas based on his experience. Picked one of these, booked it in and the works were completed on time and to a high standard. Heating system in our 1910 semi detached has been completely revamped and we are now ready for the next phase of our renovation. I would highly recommend Wood and Williams. The ancient boiler in our new house has broken twice leaving us without hot water (first time was an electrical issue due to a power surge and second time a flow valve had gone). Both times, Joe was able to come round either on the day or the morning after and was able to fix things there and then. He was courteous, professional and left things tidy. I also appreciate that there was no hard sales pitch. It would have been very easy the second time round to try and sell a new boiler rather than fix our old one. Instead we had an honest conversation about boiler lifespans and when it makes sense to repair vs replace etc. When we do eventually replace, we will 100% be using Wood and Williams. The prices were very reasonable, and he’s clearly very knowledgeable.

They did not disappoint, a member of the team came out that evening, established the issue which was going to take more than an evening to rectify. When my elderly mother's gas boiler packed up and was beyond repair Joe was able to install a new boiler ,a thermostat and flush out the heating system at short notice by rescheduling his other work which was very much appreciated. If there is a better plumbing and heating engineer in the BH area, then I do not intend to hold my breath waiting to find him. Joe has done a few jobs for us from removing an old gas fire to replacing our old water tank type boiler to a mains pressure boiler. Joe worked really hard and did a great job. Hard to sum up in a few words why Joe has been far superior to any plumber I’m yet to encounter but I think his knowledge and passion are definitely key reasons I continue to use JW Gas & Heating. Some good examples why I would always use Joe are - fitting an unvented system boiler with vast improvements in pressure and performance not to mention efficiency. Joe also came up with the idea to create an extra utility room by utilising the garage and his pipe bending looks like a work of art! Ill bet my life that if Joe finds a better solution he will and he’ll work hard and think creatively to find it too. Really pleased with the nest Joe installed too, really easy to control the heating and great user interface on both device and phone. Joe also services a penthouse holiday let of mine and he increased the water pressure significantly there too. It became apparent the lack of care from previous plumbers when Joe first serviced it and had to replace vital parts. Also installed a nest there too which makes it very easy for guests to use, pretty cool thanks Joe!
Joe is a true professional...his expertise and knowledge is astounding. Met alot of plumbers in my time doing facilities management but never come across a person so keen to do it right. J.W Gas & Heating replaced my failing and very old boiler for a new Worcester boiler including a Magna Clean. From quote to the installation I could not fault the service received from Joe Wood. The quotation was received promptly and I was pleasantly surprised how competitive it was. On accepting the quote an installation date was agreed. Joe turned up on time on the day agreed and worked not stop and very tidily to complete the job in a day. Joe was very professional and organised in his work and we couldn't be happier with the end result.I wish all trades were this good!!
