Quotation site visit arranged and appointment was kept to in a timely manner hence the 2 star rating. What was exceptionally disappointing was the very negative tone and dismissive attitude of Ashley, the Gas Engineer. No solutions were offered and all suggestions were dismissed on the spot. I like tradesman to adopt a can do will do positive attitude, despite the challenges a job may entail. Yes it is a second floor flat with limited space but I did expect to get some solution from Ashley rather than a negative vibe which early on implied that he wasn't interested in quoting or offering any meaningful solution. It was clear to me that he was only interested in straight forward installations and not up for a challenge. But it is JC Gas loss as another company has been solution focused and I now have a well installed new combi boiler that works very well - contrary to what the engineer said to me on his brief site visit. With respect to the posted response the site visit lasted for 20 mins, not 45 as stipulated, and I don't see the relevance of my intention to sell the property. It was a solution I was looking for not obstructions and certainly not a negative attitude which was on the verge of rudeness. I fully understand your need to defend the engineer and your company but I can only report the facts and the way the engineer made me feel at the time.
JC Gas did a great job fixing my central heating system by replacing my pump and diverter valve, it now works best for many a year
JC Gas have just replaced our old Combi Boiler. We had asked them for a quote about a month before and unfortunately our old boiler broke down before we’d arranged to replace it. JC Gas were competitively priced, and arranged to replace our old boiler very quickly and fitted the new one in a day. Thank you and see you in a year for the annual service.
When our old Viessman boiler developed a fault, JC Gas sent an engineer round the next day. He solved the problem and kindly advised us on some actions we could take ourselves to chase an airlock out of the central heating system, rather than doing this himself and charging for hours spent waiting around. Also, when I originally called up, the lady I spoke to recommended resetting the boiler first, just in case this solved the problem (alas it didn’t). How nice being able to trust that a company isn’t out to rip you off! Thanks JC Gas, we’ll be back in future 👍
Get our boiler regularly serviced with JC gas. Excellent and very professionally run company. In particular Ash who works there who is always prompt and takes great pride in his work. I even mentioned to him one day that my “Sea cocks” on my boat needed changing as they were in urgent need of replacement. He was kind enough to offer his assistance and ensure they were 100% leak free. 10/10
Hard to find such a reliable, trustworthy and honest company these days and at the same time they offer great value for money. I trust J C Gas 100%, I had a very pleasant, competent and professional engineer inspect our very old & neglected boiler but he got it serviced and back in full working order with no extra charges with lots of helpful advice that will save us money further down the line. Have used J C Gas a couple of times before and these are lovely honest people. Can not recommend these guys highly enough. Absolutely awesome ❤️

Their customer service is shocking. A new boiler installed just over a year ago, pipes unravelling and causing a bad leak yet they only want to come out at their hourly rate (see other reviews and their replies) as parts only guaranteed for one year! How about substandard and faulty work done in the first place? No doubt there will be a trite reply from them on this review. My advice - steer clear!
We have been using J.C. Gas for over ten years. They managed to keep our very old boiler going for many years and finally installing a new one. Always happy with their work and especially yesterday when Ashley gave us some excellent advice on our leaking hot water cylinder that cured the problem.
I thought I had san issue with my hot water but after speaking to an extremely helpful engineer who happened to be in the office he diagnosed the issue meaning there was no immediate need for a plumber. This is outstanding service and I will be using JC when the part eventually needs replacing. You can’t beat honest advice. Well done JC.
Excellent, fast and efficient service! Our boiler had been on the blink over the winter, and today it finally decided to refuse us hot water. Suspecting a faulty diverter valve, we immediate Googled plumbers close by and came across JC Gas, we gave them a call at 11am and within 4 hours they had someone over to fix the boiler. It only took 1 hour for their engineer to diagnose the issue and replace the valve, this included time where the engineer waited just to make sure the problem had been resolved. We now have hot water (YAY!) and are very happy with the service provided. They were very friendly, communicated well (they call up to let you know when they are going to arrive), and the price was extremely reasonable. Would recommend and use again :) Have attached a photo of our beautiful new valve!
Shockingly rude. I did not answer my phone due to being at work and after 3 back to back phone calls received 6 abusive messages. Never known anything like it! Most unprofessional customer service I’ve ever seen. Would not recommend, if I could give 0 stars I would.
