We recently had Callum and Evan install a new Worcester Bosch combo boiler. The quality of their work and professionalism is beyond praise. They arrived promptly, prepared the house well before starting removal of the old boiler and installed the new boiler expertly. We cannot fault the standard of their work or their skill in keeping the customer (us) informed. They were clearly highly skilled and attended to every detail, didn’t moan at all when they had to dismantle a cupboard which they later rebuilt!! They spent some time explaining to us the various aspects of the new boiler and the HIVE system. When our ancient boiler gave up the ghost, Carl came out on a Saturday and condemned it as unrepairable. He gave us a quote to supply and fit a new combi boiler and explained the whole process from start to finish. We had no hesitation hiring him as the reviews were all really good. Today, after having the job done, I can say what a brilliant team Carl, Callum and Evan are. Everything went exactly as we were told and they left the house spotless after fitting it in less than a day. A very professional and outstanding service from Callum at Protech Gas Services. My elderly father’s boiler broke down on 23 December and despite not being at work that day Callum came round to see if he could fix it. As it was 15+ years old and needed new parts I decided that a new boiler would be the best option. Callum booked us in as a priority for the first working day after Christmas. He arrived promptly, treated the property with respect, removed the old boiler, fitted the new and left everywhere spotless. He set up the programmer for us and explained in detail how it worked. Can’t fault the guys and their professionalism and thoroughness with installing our new boiler. They first came out to fit the boiler and noticed that our old pipes were the wrong size so couldn’t complete the job. They gave us plenty of time to decide what we wanted to do and upon coming out a second time we needed to lift the floorboards to hide as much of the new pipe as possible - nothing was too much for these guys. Can’t fault them - would highly recommend them as a good local business.

October 2024 I can thoroughly recommend Protech Gas Services to anyone. We had a very old boiler that started to leak gas and Carl and his son Evan attended within 45 mins of my call and made the boiler safe. I then asked Carl for a quote to remove the old boiler, water tanks etc and to replace it with a new combi boiler and to update the radiators to cope with the new system. I accepted the quote and Carl and his sons Callum and Evan arrived on the date and time agreed to begin work. Replacing our old system was not straight forward to say the least but Carl and his sons overcame each problem with great skill and determination. Carl, Callum and Evan were friendly and polite throughout and suffice to say we now have a modern and energy efficient system which we are delighted with. Recently had a 32-year-old Baxi Solo system boiler replaced with a Worcester Bosch Greenstar 4000. This was long overdue and my wife was a little nervous about the potential disruption to the fabric of the house, imagining it to be a filthy complicated job lasting a few days. Nothing could have been further from the truth. Carl and his sons were here at 8am, ready to go. By 4:45 pm that same day, everything was done: old boiler, water tank and immersion heater removed, new boiler installed, one leaky radiator valve replaced, outside flue very neatly patched up, Hive transceiver & thermostat up & running, and all controls explained and demonstrated. It restores my faith that there are SOME companies out there - like ProTech Gas Services - who communicate well, work hard, know what they're doing, do it well, and care about what the paying customer deserves. Just had a new boiler fitted by Callum and Evan. Absolutely delighted with the service from start to finish. Managed to replace my old leaky boiler within 1 week and explained the process all the way through and on the day. Will definitely use them again.

Called on a Sunday afternoon came out within half an hour. Talked me through what to do whilst they were on their way to help reduce the damage from water leak. First class service and repair would highly recommend. Their number is definitely stored in my phone now. Can’t thank them enough for their swift action.

Carl and his son (I didn’t ask his name - sorry!) replaced my old, leaky boiler with the utmost professionalism and courtesy. The whole job was done efficiently and everything was explained as it was happening, they even re-plastered the wall where the old flue pipe had been. Carpets and furniture were protected and I’m sure the place was cleaner when they left than before they started! Would definitely recommend.

Carl and his team were great when they serviced my boiler. Due to it being the first service after being installed in a new build property they went above and beyond what was expected and throughly checked to make sure the installation has been safely built (which it originally hadn’t) and detailed what needed to be done to make it completely safe. I would definitely use them again for any gas work.

Our old boiler broke down and was not fixable. We needed a new one and we needed it the next day. Carl and Evan came to the rescue! They laid sheets over our carpets and set to work. They never stopped working until the job was complete and it took a good few hours to do. A beautiful new Worcester boiler was fitted and Carl showed me how to work it before he left. I am so happy with the job they did and cannot relay how nice these 2 guys are. I would thoroughly recommend them. They did not make any mess and the only thing they left behind was a beautiful new boiler and 2 very happy old ladies. Thank you both for a job very well done!

Karl and his team were fantastic, our boiler died after many years (yes we were one of the couples that kept saying we’ll get a new one soon after we bought the house but we never got round to it!). The communication from Karl was great right from assessing the problem before his visit through to the end of the job. The team on the day of fitting were really friendly, very approachable and knowledgeable. I had a problem with my boiler late at night, I was given advice over the phone which was much appreciated, Carl came out the next day and found the fault straight away, would recommend to anyone and I will use again for my up coming boiler service.

Can't fault Carl and his staff if I tried. Leaking boiler at first and Carl was there promptly to solve leak. I knew boiler was ready for replacing so asked about replacement boiler. I was told exactly how much I would pay (fixed cost) and what I would get. They turned up when planned, carried out the work as agreed and cleaned up afterwards. They even did a separate little job for me that was unplanned while they were here. Good advice, very professional and I would highly recommend. Do some research and then go to these guys, brilliant value for money and nothing seemed too much trouble. They were happy to explain everything to us and demonstrate before they left.

Recently had a new Worcester Boiler fitted by Protech Gas Services Ltd & a new radiator installed. They are our first choice for Gas Engineers as proven to be professional, knowledgeable, & courteous with exceptional outstanding Customer Service. They had done a repair on our old boiler a few years ago, so kept their number for the future. I contacted Carl for a free estimate and advice - nothing too much trouble for Carl. Always helpful, kind & accommodating. The job was not so straightforward as the flue needed repositioning with an inspection shaft. Carl came out the next day and took accurate measurements & checked that all would comply with Gas Safety Regs. He is a very experienced & knowledgeable engineer & acutely aware of all aspects of Gas Safety which instills great confidence & assurance to the Customer. An exceptionally outstanding family run business! Carl & son Callum arrived punctually on the agreed date & got to work straight away. Complete collaboration as a father & son team. Both highly skilled. All work completed to a high standard. No fuss, no mess! Fantastic joinery by Carl on the newly made Inspection shaft too, with easy access to the roof space. Superb job! Both very friendly, trustworthy, honest people who took time from the start to finish to answer all questions. Callum talked us through a 'step by step' guide in his own words as to how to operate the handheld thermostat controls & top up the pressure on the boiler when needed. Removal of gas fire

This team of 3 turned up at my door to replace an old combi boiler. Dispatched by an agent for an Internet order I placed. I gave them a couple of extra jobs which they happily agreed to do. They got cracking straight away and worked solidly from 8.15 to 4pm. No breaks. No tea. Solid work. By the end of the job I can say that all three were courteous, well mannered, honest hard working people. Surmounted a couple of unforseen problems with aplomb. This is the 'A' Team of plumbing. Thoroughly recommended. I'll make sure to keep their number and pass on to all my acquintances and of course for any future work I may require. This is the type of workman we all struggle to find. Now to find a plasterer from the same mould. Tough ask, l know. Really thought I had found a reliable tradesman. How wrong I was. When time for annual service, they weren't interested. Ignored my attempts to contact. Ended up finding alternative. Very disappointed and let down.
