I recently had Hobson Services complete a garden revamp, and I am impressed with their professionalism and respect throughout the project. We love to entertain and spend time in the garden. Their design was both creative and practical for a young family, making the most of the available area. Work included: • Repairing a retaining wall to ensure safety, ground stability, and the ability to install a fence. • Timber cladding of the retaining wall with patio lighting. • Levelling the lawn and laying turf. • Installing fencing. • Creating a custom storage bench. One of the highlights of the project is the custom storage bench. It offers both seating and storage space, and the design is both practical and stylish. The bench is well crafted, providing the perfect spot to sit and enjoy the garden while keeping toys, tools and other items neatly stored away. Throughout the entire project, Simon and his team demonstrated a high level of professionalism and respect. Simon and his team removed the old white fence on side of house and bin area. Put a brand new one, pretty much like for like. Cost was fair. Timing was good. Work ethics well above average. Even at the end, Simon walked with me around the work done and was happy to take in criticism and adjust all small details to full customer satisfaction. Simon and his team did an absolutely fantastic job on our rear garden. The previous lawn had been severely damaged due to construction work, from our initial meeting Simon was forthcoming with lots of suggestions and creative ideas as to how we could transform the space into something that the whole family could enjoy. Simon and team levelled the ground, pulling out old stumps and unwanted growth, treated with great quality topsoil and re-turfed the whole area. The transformation has been truly breathtaking and the garden is unrecognisable. Well, where do we begin. We initially contacted Simon to discuss replacing our patio. It was very clear at our first meeting that we were going to have more than a new patio. Simon done a great little tile job for us at our front door, from speaking to him, to choosing the tile and them being fitted was just over a week. Simon and the team did an absolutely brilliant job of refurbing our whole garden and building a new garden room to be used as a home office and extra living space. He's a perfectionist and made sure everything was finished to a really high standard and that we were happy before leaving us. He listened carefully to what we wanted and offered helpful advice when we weren't sure. He managed all aspects of the work including bringing in an electrician to run power and internet down to the garden room. He was really clear with costs and timings from beginning to end and maintained excellent communications throughout. On top of all that he and his team were all lovely guys and I had no worries giving them a set of keys to the garden and access to our house when we weren't around. I was almost sad to see them go once it was all finished! We'll be getting them back to sort out the front garden when he's available!

WOW, we can't thank Simon and his team, Jody and Tye enough. They have created a really special garden for us. We thought that our garden was not going to be an easy task to take on, due to issues with access and parking. However, right from the start these were never seen as a problem. Simon & his team recently completed the creation of a garden building (gym) and landscaping - we absolutely love it!! The quality of the build & finish is superb. Simon is the most professional builder/landscaper we have ever met (he uses a project plan!). Simon's communication skills are excellent, both through the planning stages and during the build, with multiple updates every day (we were on holiday during his work schedule). Simon's attention to detail is super, proactively suggesting small changes to improve the overall look. Amazing from start to finish

This was not a difficult review to write. From start to finish it was an enjoyable, fun, stress free experience. Our garden is beautiful and we are immensely proud of it. We could not have asked for more. Simon’s advice on all things was invaluable; design, materials, and maintenance – we have no doubt without him we would not have the garden we do. He kept us up to date throughout the project, discussed fully any challenges, including budgets, and made suggestions as to how to overcome them. Simon, Jodie and Tristan had a great work ethic, they were reliable, trustworthy, respectful and a pleasure to have around, we actually miss them! Their talent and experience was very obvious. We have had a total renovation and the end result is stunning. The project management was impressive and efficient - everything was planned, prepared and ordered. All fences were replaced and additions made. Planters, decking, replacement artificial turf, hot tub installed and all new plants – this all happened in 3 weeks! We contracted Simon to knock down an old garage and build a garden office for us as we both now work remotely. Simon was extremely generous with his time in the planning and design of the office to ensure that we made the right decisions. This was a lengthy process as the project was a large investment for us and we could not afford to make any errors. When we finally decided to go ahead with the project Simon and his team worked extremely hard and to the highest professional standards in terms of both quality and service. We highly recommend him and could not be more happy with his work which we now use every day, thank you Simon!

Simon built some planters for my garden. He was extremely friendly and helpful offering his advice and vision on how they would look. The work was carried out effortlessly and to a high standard ahead of the proposed time. Well what can I say, Simon and Jodie you are the best also Jodie’s brother was on site for a few days and he is a workhorse. It was a pleasure to have these guys in my home, Simon even treated us to fish & chips 👍 Simon and his team removed all of our old wooden wall and steps and built us a new one with the most spectacular steps in the middle. He also laid a path leading up to the steps, put all wooden edging around the lawn and finished it off with pebbles They always cleared up every evening And jet washed it all. One night they stayed until 8.30pm to finish laying the slabs. Simon replaced the patio in our garden using porcelain tiles and has transformed it into a modern, clean, and sophisticated outdoor space. Simon took the time to understand the look we wanted to achieve and made corresponding recommendations on the final layout, the use of porcelain tiles, and decorative aggregates to achieve the look we desired. We thoroughly enjoyed working with Simon and found him to be very friendly and an extremely hard worker, punctual and considerate to our property by ensuring that things were kept tidy as the work progressed. I started a project during the first lock down, and bit off rather more than I could chew. Luckily for me, my neighbours were having some work done by Simon and I asked him to quote to sort out the mess I had made, and also make a shed base for me. Simon and Johnny worked so hard in the most awful weather and did a brilliant job of the shed base, building the shed and turning a boggy piece of land into a lovely little patio area. I would have no hesitation in recommending Hobson Landscaping, and I must say, the job they did for my neighbours, a far larger project than mine, was amazing!

Although Simon work ethic is good but for my garden he rushed the job and did not act profesionally when I pointed at some of flaws in the work.

Simon built a large L shaped patio for us in September which included a 9 inch concrete base overlaid with porcelain tiles. His quote was competitive and the end result, which we are delighted with, a testimony to his skills and attention to detail. From the moment we met Simon, we knew we had found the most courteous, thorough, dedicated and professional workman we have ever met (and we have met a lot!) We initially asked Simon to assess the viability of creating a small flat area half-way down our rather sloping garden. He developed our idea into a near-total renovation of the back garden - giving us two usable spaces and making the sloped bit considerably more attractive. This new plan make the work we had initially wanted more feasible, and saved a lot of extra work (eg being able to use the soil we would have needed dug out to create the flat area to build up another area so that too was level rather than have to get rid of all that was dug up). From day 1, Simon was friendly and professional and it was clear that he cared about his work and doing a good job for his customers. Everyone he brought round to help him was also friendly, professional and respectful of our house. Every step of the way, Simon talked us through our options, came up with some great ideas that we would never have thought of and, at the end of every day, he talked us through what he had done, what he would do next and highlight any potential problems - but he would always have solutions to any issues (mainly arising through the difficulty in accessing our back garden). Simon was incredibly responsive to any messages we sent with questions. We are delighted with what Simon and his team have managed to achieve and we can’t wait for next summer to make full use of what feels like a completely new garden. Simon became a friend in the process and we will definitely be using his services again when we tackle the remaining bit of the garden.
