Vincent Flooring & Bed Centre delivered an excellent service from start to finish. While their reputation already speaks for itself, I felt it was only right to add my own feedback. Jim in the showroom was friendly, accommodating, and refreshingly free of any sales pressure. He provided a very competitive quote and was patient while we worked through logistics at home to find a suitable installation date. The fitters, Gary and Harlie, were highly professional and completed the installation to an outstanding standard. I’ve had such a great experience with Vincent Flooring from start to finish. After a poor experience with a big chain, I was really relieved to find a local independent company that genuinely cares about its customers. Jim in the showroom was brilliant—friendly and knowledgeable. He helped me choose the right carpet, underlay and finishes, and arranged for my home to be measured and fitted, all while being incredibly accommodating around my tricky work schedule. Communication throughout was clear and easy, which made the whole process feel completely stress-free. The fitting team who came out were just as impressive. They did a fantastic job—professional, efficient and really tidy. On top of that, they were just lovely guys, which always makes a difference when you’ve got people working in your home! I originally found this company through Google reviews myself, so I wanted to add my experience to reinforce just how good they are. Poped here last weekend to get some underlay for my staircase runner. The gentlemen that served me was incredibly helpful and informative. Unfortunately I don’t get his name. Would 100% recommend and I can’t wait until my house is finished to be able to get the whole house carpeted. Huge selection in store aswel. Thank you.

Gary came to fit us new carpets on the stairs and landing of our three storey house and did a fantastic job, despite being on his own to do it. He worked quickly and was friendly and professional. I recommend, and would definitely use Vincent Flooring again if needed.

My husband and I popped in during the past week for some advice about a faulty LVT we received from another company, vs Laminate and Engineering Wood Flooring. Will was very attentive, helpful and knowledgable with a very calm demeanour. We were given showroom samples to take home for a couple of days to compare. We will be back when we finalise what we're doing!

Highly recommend using vincent flooring. I have been doing major refurbishment and extension work to my house in surbiton. We had Scott given us the quote. Very pleasant to deal with. Quote was competitive. Vincent Flooring supplied and fitted Lvt at ground floor level and carpets on all upper levels. We had Darren very experienced fitter fit the lvt and Tommy fit the carpets. Both guys were great and very happy with the end result. Thankyou.

We bought our engineered oak flooring from Vincent flooring, best price for the brand we found online, customer service was brilliant, special shout out to Will King who was very helpful. We will use this company for all our future flooring needs.

Excellent local showroom and expert advice, highly recommended! Stuart gave us lots of sensible advice and Matt did a brilliant job of fitting our new Amtico kitchen floor.

We have used Vincents for two carpet fittings over the last year and have been very pleased with the job done...very professional and the fitters were verey pleasant and very helpful. Unfortunately we also asked Vincents to supply and fit some laminate flooring recently. The two youngish fitters who turned up were very unpleasant and very unhelpful. They just wanted to do the job their way. I would have cancelled the job but it is very difficult when you have been waiting and presumably they needed paying for the time slot. I am 76 and maybe they thought they could behave as they did. The job done was ok but they left one board up too close against a heating pipe and they laid several boards with the same pattern together...they could have been more selective and thoughtful. Given our prior experience with Vincents this episode was extremely disappointing. Scott just defended the fitters.

USELESS COMPANY! DO NOT USE! I ORDERED A SAMPLE FROM THEM. YET NEVER RECEIVED IT. WHEN I CALLED THEM THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE WAS POOR. WHEN I CHASED IT UP THEY SAID IT IS BEST TO CONTACT THE MANUFACTURER THAT SUPPLIES THE SAMPLES. AFTER CONTACTING THE MANUFACTURER IT TURNS OUT VINCENT FLOORING HADN'T PLACED THE ORDER AT ALL! THEY ARE COMPLETE & UTTER TIME WASTERS! RESPONSE TO THEIR RESPONSE: THEIR RESPONSE SUMS UP MY POINT THAT THEY REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY'RE DOING. THEY ARE THE ONE'S WHO ARE CONFUSED. I PLACED AN ORDER FOR THE SAMPLE 7TH JULY. WHEN IT DIDN'T ARRIVE I CALLED THEM AND THEY SAID IT SHOULD ARRIVE IN A COUPLE OF DAYS. WHEN IT DIDN'T THEY JUST TOLD ME TO ORDER DIRECTLY FROM THE MANUFACTURER.

We have just had carpets fitted in our bungalow. We are really happy with the carpet, it looks fab and it was great quality and a very reasonable price, plus the selection on offer at the store was excellent. Also, Les the fitter was brilliant. Very clean and efficient and he has done an excellent job. We can definitely recommend Vincents.

I popped into the showroom last week wanting our stairs, landing and one bedroom carpeted. Will K. was extremely helpful and knowledgeable discussing options and provided me with some samples to take home. Just by chance Matthew the fitter had a job cancel on him and was able to fit us in a few days after ordering. My wife and I have a 4 week old baby and have been camping out in the living room until the carpet was laid down. So we were very appreciative of the quick turnaround and before Christmas! Matthew and Josh the fitters were very professional, friendly and did a terrific job. The carpet makes such a difference, my wife and I are over the moon. We'll be in touch with Vincent Flooring in the new year to get a couple more rooms done!

Our kitchen flooring had suffered extensive water damage, along with having a poorly constructed sub-floor. Stuart and Fred fitted our kitchen with a new, perfectly level sub-floor, followed by them fitting vinyl flooring over the sub-flooring. Their attention to detail, making sure the end result was beautifully smooth, seamlessly fitted and sealed at the edges, along with being an absolute joy to walk on, showed a level of professionalism and care, that we have not seen in a long time. We had a pretty urgent and large wooden flooring and stairs carpet refurbish to do. From the initial quotation and options to the installation, Scott was absolutely amazing. The sales staff were good, helpful and polite and I'm overall happy with the carpet. However, the fitters did some serious damage to my walls and curtain rail and claimed the curtain rail bracket "fell out" of the wall when it had clearly been ripped out with some force. They also made permanent marks all over the walls of the bedroom, from their tools, which are impossible to clean off. They made so much mess and it cost me a lot of money to repair the curtain rail and clean the walls. I'm really disappointed that a good company like Vincent employs fitters who really let their reputation down.

Have just had bedrooms , loft room , upper hall and two flights of stairs supplied by Stuart at Vincent's. Prices very fair especially on the stock range . The fitting was by Mr McDermott and Mr Odell , they did a beautiful job...very professional and rightly proud of their work. All a great relief following bad experience with a so called Builder. Having had a dreadful Builder were a bit apprehensive

I've used Vincents numerous times over the past 12 years on 2x different houses and I love it! It is an up-to-date store in terms of product offering and range - but with old fashioned staff with incredible knowledge and customer service. Tina is FAB - she's been there for a long time, knows everything about everything and is just so smiley and positive. A pleasure to deal with. "The boys" who do the pricing, cutting, delivering, whipping etc - all very good too. Cant fault it.

Bought our carpets and a rug from Vincent Flooring a few years ago now and found them to be be very helpful. Popped in today to source some off cuts as the dog has caused havoc on the stair carpet and can’t thank the lovely lady who served us enough. Wonderful customer service from her. Thank you so much.

Vincent flooring has recently laid Karndean Korlok Baltic Washed Oak throughout our whole house. The service from Darren and Mick (the fitters) was exceptional and the job was completed very quickly. Not only did they fit the Karndean flooring well but also carpeted down the stairs. Overall the service provided by Vincent Flooring was excellent however I do think that the customer experience at the showroom and general handling of phone calls could be improved if your main contact is not in the office. But I would recommend using Vincent Flooring after our experience. Their pricing was also competitive to others.

I have recently used Vincent Flooring and I can honestly say, NEVER again! The warning signs were there from the start. I was met by a bored sales rep who probably would rather have been doing a crossword or reading the paper. Almost comical actually. And as one other disgruntled customer has already pointed out, they expect you to know their terms and conditions without actually explaining them to you. They are on the order which you will eventually receive days later (after paying out) via 2nd class post. Take heed if you want to use your own fitters, which I did for flooring (rather than wait over a month for theirs) they will refuse to take back stock which they have measured for and over ordered on (about £500 worth in my case). The amount of carpet supplied was also hugely surplus to requirements. A shameful waste of resource in today's world. If you do decide to use Vincents (despite my review) I would recommend taking your own measurements so that you have a good idea of cost - they make a point of not sharing theirs and I suspect it's another way to make money. Really dreadful customer service and my advice would be to steer well clear.

Scott was a tremendous help from Vincent flooring. We ordered V4 engineered wood and it was a pleasant experience buying from this company.

A absolute pleasure to shop here, plenty of salespeople around to offer assistance without feeling as though you are being constantly monitored, the range of carpets is very extensive including real wood and laminate flooring, alongside vinyl covering, when requiring assistance the sales staff are very knowledgeable with clear concise information & pricing, if you are considering a change to your flooring then definitely give this place a view you won't be disappointed

Terrible customer service and terrible attitude this place expects you to guess their terms of business. Told us there was a 2 week turnaround time so, we asked them to proceed in writing. They then dragged things on for a further week before telling us that its actually 2 weeks from full payment......Was this ever detailed to us? No chance then it was made out to be our fault for not knowing their terms of business. Stay away from at all costs

We have just had 2 bedrooms with staircases carpeted and our kitchen floor done. Quoted as 2 days work and they were able to complete the job in one day. The whole process was made simple and ran smoothly throughout. Jason and Gary the fitters supplied were fantastic..... helpful, considerate, tidy and so professional! Absolutely delighted with our new flooring. Highly recommend this firm reputable local firm.

Mick/Michael came to fit our carpets and what a delight he was. Over the course of two years, I've had multiple tradesmen in my home, and Mick was the first guy who was seemed happy in his work. He wasn't looking to screw me over, or cut corners to leave earlier. He came, did a great job, and was a pleasure to have in the home. A nice guy, decent company - like many other reviewers, I recommend Vincents.

I cannot expressed how delighted I am with the service I received from Jim Laidlaw at J W Vincent Flooring. I would have given more than five stars if I could! Amazingly friendly, quick and helpful. Saved me a lot of wasted time and money, I couldn't have been more pleased with their prompt and innovative service. Will (and already have) recommend to everyone - an efficient company with exceptional employees.

Jim was very patient and informative over multiple visits, and answered all my questions as I tried to figure out what I wanted. I’m really happy with all the products I chose in the end. Michael did the fitting, and he was so meticulous, clean and thoughtful, I couldn’t be happier. I would definitely use them again, but don’t think I’ll need to as they did such a good job 👏. Would highly recommend. Only issue I had was that I had to wait for the fitting, but that’s because they are in such high demand. Well worth the wait.

The range of products is amazingl and may be overwhelming if it wasn't for the support the staff give.

Had carpet and wood floor fitted 2 years ago. The carpet looks like it was fitted 10 years ago very poor quality even though we paid a very high price. Poor service too.

Mum has used Vincent's from the day they opened. They have fitted all my carpets. The fitters are friendly and efficient. I have Jason. Currently I am waiting on the fitting of the stairs and landing once the virus pandemic is over.

I experienced very poor service. We ordered the material in October 2014. They then did not have an installer available for six weeks. They then lost the paper work once so that we had to be in twice for nearly a whole day for the measurements to be taken. The Installer (Graham) was unreliable. He never turned up at the time agreed nor even the correct day. Also claimed he had texted us to arrange time which was not true at all. Head office are saying this is nothing to do with them because appointments were made directly with installer. When asked why he missed an appointment today, installer said that appointments are handled by the office. The office then made sure that the installation was finished. However, finishing off a simple floor installation job took four months! After complaining twice, the Manager intervened and partly refunded the labour costs.

I replaced all my carpets with Vincent Flooring, I had a great experience from beginning to end. They lent me samples to take home so I could be sure of my choices before ordering. They were really friendly and helpful throughout the ordering process. The fitter was great, did a super job and I’m very happy with the finished product. Would highly recommend.

Very unhappy with Vincent Flooring. Having used them in the past and recommended them to others, NEVER again! First of all, when the carpet was being laid, (sitting room, dining room, hall, stairs and landing - whole house in disarray!) a fault was discovered which meant the whole lot had to be replaced. After waiting 2 weeks for some action, despite photos already being supplied, I had to then photograph the carpet again myself to get anyone to take any notice! It then took 4 weeks, various phone calls and emails to find out if/when the new replacement carpet was going to be delivered. Finally yesterday was agreed. Then that was changed to today - ETA "about midday". At 2.30 I called to find out what was happening. I was told the fitters were on another job which, for some reason had been given precedence over mine, and they would come to do "some" of mine when they'd finished that! It is now nearly 4.00pm. I'm still waiting ...............

Vincent's & Danny (their fitter) did a superb job with the flooring and carpets. Thanks guys and would highly recommend to others.

Helpful, honest team

We had a 100sqm of amtico laid by Vincent's in April 2016. The experience was not good and I would not recommend Vincent's. The floor has had to be repaired 4 times due to faulty workmanship. Appointments were rearranged on the day and / or the fitter was a no-show 5 times over the course of the Summer. I found the fitter passive aggressive asking for full payment despite not finishing the job at the time. The other frustrating issue was that despite our issues with the fitting, Vincent's didn't seem to care. Once we had bought the amtico from Vincent's in February they handed us over to a fitter and we were no longer a priority. But our contract was with Vincent, not the fitter whom we didn't choose. In summary - quite disappointing, especially as we went with Vincent's to support a local firm.

We have used Vincents for two of our houses to do carpets and amtico and they have been fantastic. Nothing is ever too much trouble and they did a great job.

Just had my bathroom & kitchen flooring done by Vincent Flooring. The fitters turned up on time were courteous and polite, the work was done quickly and they left everything clean and tidy.Will definitely use Vincent Flooring again and will not hesitate to recommend them to my friends.
