A & D Gates

Had a Gate and some fencing put up in the New 2025 Composite Design that they have. The fitters were very friendly, explained the process of fitting, and always confirmed exactly how and where it would be drilled to fit etc. They have done an amazing job and the quality is ace. Will be having future work done from these again. Thankyou.

Last time I utilised them they were very late on delivery even after 100% payment in advance. They didn't turn up to their most recent appointment to measure for 2 sets of driveway gates and are completely inflexible on appointments. Not recommended. Further to the response below, for clarity I had a "morning" appointment with you as suggested by you. At 11am I was informed you were not coming. Having already wasted one morning waiting for you, I checked with the property occupiers who said first thing the next day would work. Your appointments system apparently is incapable of meeting simple requests from customers. Poor service unfortunately renders the product quality irrelevant. It is a shame that you have been unable to understand this

We're overjoyed with our new gates fitted this morning by A&D Gates.Small delay waiting for the composite to come in to finish the job but overall excellent workmanship,speedy fitting & the gates look stunning.

Just had some garden gates from A&D gates and I’m so impressed. They were done so quickly and they look amazing! The men fitting the gates left the area so tidy, were very pleasant and thorough. If you are looking for gates look no further.

Had a set of composite driveway gates fitted last week. From first visit to measure up, and chose the colour and design through to installation we are delighted with the service and professionalism of the team.The fitters were very friendly and polite and tidy. I used A&D gates because they were a local company and to say that I am happy with their work is a understatement as they were absolutely outstanding from beginning to end, Everyone has been so helpful and polite from the gentleman that came to measure up to the lads that made the gates and the lads that fitted them, also must mention the lady on the other end of the telephone. We had a external gate fitted by A&D. Once fitted and paid, I called A&D to ask if I can have it removed to different location which was about a foot away and had the same measurements, because it was to secure the back part of the property of my business, so it was important to have it relocated. Obviously i would have paid the extra. They told me they were too busy to come back and do the job. Considering the importance, they were not bothered at all. They didn't even consider a alternative. Their customer service is appalling. When I said well do I need to go elsewhere, the lady said yes call another company. I wasn't asking for a free service i would have paid the price. I would definitely not recommend this company, because if you have any issues after fitting they will be too busy to come back and solve the issue. Disgusting.

Excellent service from A& D gates. Very responsive, the fitter came today & did a fabulous job. Even helped to put a fire out next door before the fire service arrived. Well done. Very pleased with them. Thank you would recommend

A VERY POOR SERVICE! We recently bought two sets of gates. The first set were fitted well. The second set were damaged when sent to us. This company claimed that they sent the gates to us in perfect condition, however when they were unwrapped a week after the delivery we found the cladding was all damaged. No aftercare instructions were given at the time of delivery and they now claim that these gates should not have been laid on grass and this is "common sense'. This is a disappointing response as we are not gate experts and it is their duty to ensure they provide the correct care instructions for products they sell when delivered. We have waited for 9 weeks for them to come and sort out the damaged gates and this has required endless calls and emails from us to chase for a date for the gates to be fixed. After waiting for so long naturally we were starting to get annoyed by the lack of communication and action. My husband was rudely told that they did not care if we reported them to Trading Standards. We were also ready to take this company to the small claims court to get our money back. On top of this, when this company finally came to repair the gates, I asked them to also look at the electrics of the first set of gates, as they seem to work intermittently and do not always open. I was told I would need to pay another £70 for them to check the other gates. I was very cross and told the company to forget it. The irony is that they too could not get out of our property, as the gates were not working. The owner of the business behaved very arrogantly and got out of his van and opened the gates manually and left without even attempting to assess why the gates would not work properly. It was clear that the owner of this business was annoyed from the moment he arrived to repair the gates and frankly this is unacceptable when we have paid so much money for two sets of gates that were damaged and do not work properly. We regret buying our gates from this company and we will now have to pay another gate company to come and check the electrics of our first set of gates as clearly this company is not interested in their poor service now that they have our money.

Rob did a great job of fitting the driveway posts and gates which look really good. There was slight damage to the gates when they were initially fitted but this was fixed within a week.
