After visiting hardware stores I was not impressed with the quality of the mass produced wooden gates, so I decided to call in to Mersey Fencing. The customer facing staff are friendly, and they had a sample gate in store. The quality of the workmanship and materials used are far superior than an off the self purchase. The took my order and said they would be in touch when they had an installation date, which they did. They turned up on time and the fitted the new gate and even took the old gate and frame away which was really helpful for me. From the day they took my order was approximately 10 days, but it was worth the wait. The gate is incredibly robust compared to other gates I have seen and the installation is brilliant. I ordered fence panels and a shed. The panels are really robust and long lasting, as I know from past experience, and the shed looks great too, really well made. Delivery was punctual, friendly and professional. All in all a great service from a very trustworthy company.

I’ve been meaning to leave a review for a while, got a new fence done over a year ago, there were some minor issues but they were sorted by the team. As a young woman living alone I generally hate dealing with tradespeople because I’ve been conned by dodgy people in the past, but mersey fencing are great and I’d recommend to anyone! I wanted to get fencing in the front and back gardens and looked on the net. I sent an email to Mersey Fencing but received no reply. Two weeks later I called and was told the he is on the road at the moment and will call me back within the hour. That was two weeks ago. I have found someone else who phoned to arrange an interview and came down the same night. Not good business practice. I have received a reply, and checked my facts which I found to be correct. I contacted you via the website and left a message, and was rerouted to a mobile phone when I called from my housephone.

My daughter wanted a new fence and we got recommended Mersey Fencing. They are a local company employing local people who make the fences to order on site. The prices must be the cheapest on Merseyside but the fencing is fantastic quality and really well made. The cost was so low we had enough left to buy matching gates which look amazing. Give them a go and ask for Steve. Update 08/03/22, had to purchase 8 panels for my own garden. Quality is still the same and the price is still low in comparison to other places. Cheers Joe

Needed a couple of made to measure fence panels. A neighbour gave us a recommendation and Mersey Fencing Ltd were brilliant. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The cost of fencing, timber and delivery was very reasonable. Definitely recommend them.

Avoid. Shed started leaking within 2 weeks of fitting, and they told me they would come round and never got back to me! I would never trust them for anything in the future and would do my best to warn others of what they're like.

Great service! I ordered a fence panel Friday evening online and it was delivered next day early afternoon. Price was good as well for the fence and for the delivery! I am sure I will use them next time if I need timber product!

The online ordering process is fine, ordered then rang to arrange delivery. Sadly delivery was not as expected, whilst the two men were friendly, asking who was carrying out the work & being informed it was our builder they refused to put the fence panels & posts in the garage. One of the delivery men said it was due to health & safety & that other members of staff had been sacked for doing it. After some discussion they did agree to put the fence panels in garage but left the posts in the front garden, six feet from the garage! If they had been erecting the fence they’d of had to carry everything through garage so I can’t understand the logic. If this is indeed delivery process it should have been made clear both when ordering online & when contacting the company to arrange delivery.

I can’t find anything negative to say about this company; efficient, friendly and professional. A special mention for the guys who installed the fencing, as they were coutious and accomodating despite having to work through horrendous rain. I had a very good experience working with Mersey Fencing and would happily recommend.

Appalling lack of organisation and communication. Just received Mersey Fencings revised estimate of £785 dated 14 August 2018 and sent 15 August 2018. I cannot understand why the day before the company had arranged to start the work they decided to inform me by email that they have decided to add £157 to the first price that they originally gave me of £628 dated 14 July 2018. I would have thought that a phone call would have been more professional at this very late stage. No changes have been made to my original requirements that were discussed in full with their colleague who visited me on the 13 July 2018. In fact I re-iterated the requirements by email addressed to them and dated 15 August 2018. This actually shows me that no notice was taken of my requests, either verbal or email. No apologies offered but person I spoke to today (16 August 2018) tried to suggest that it was my fault. I am extremely annoyed about this last minute notification and consider it to be highly unprofessional and very poor business practice. I am not complaining about the cost, however, I am complaining about their office organisation and last minute change. Due to prior commitments this has now left me in an extremely difficult position trying to get the job done before I go overseas. I cannot comment upon their fencing work, however, this is no way to run a business. Had to give one star to be able to post this comment. It would have been zero otherwise. Next stop Trading Standards.

Nasty Storm Doris had left us completely de-fence-less but despite their huge workload Mersey Fencing somehow managed to squeeze us into their busy itinery and provide us with a marvelous new bespoke outer fence and double gates that is the envy of the whole of West Derby. Their office staff were extremely helpful, their estimator informative and the two lads who erected it all were courteous, efficient and skilled in effecting their task. It was a pleasure to embibe them with hot mugs of tea.

I had some fencing replaced by Mersey fencing and cannot fault them ,the finished job looks great and the two men who done the work were excellent and very polite and friendly and took away all the.rubbish and cleaned up as much as possible before they left . Would use Mersey fencing again and have already recommended them to a friend.

Excellent shed, well made and strong, made from good thick wood not the cheap flimsy stuff, excellent customer service, had a little leak in back panel were there was a knott one panel (manufacturer fault) and they came out and replaced the whole of the back and a gave me a new floor, no messing me about just come and fixed it, the lads were very professional and friendly, Highly recommended

Mersey Fencing used my property, which was unoccupied at the time, (without consultation or permission) to cut concrete posts etc when fitting a fence for a neighbour, which we had no prior knowledge of. They left behind total desecration and encroached onto my property by about half a foot cutting my block paving stones in the process and removing other things and discarding. When my husband turned up out of the blue and asked what was going on he was met with a torrent of abuse and insults and one of the workers actually squared up to him and threatened him!!! To add insult to injury, my original fence panels were then kindly given away to another person!!! very good of them to steal my property!!!! Spoke with the manager Ken who was worse than useless I have to say. Waiting for a phone call from the managing director which hasn't been forthcoming as yet!!! This will be going further if not corrected soon!!!! Take no notice of the one star...it should definitely be a minus!!

I've just been to see Mersey fencing I am a builder and have done fencing for 20 years I used them because I required 7 foot feather edge panels which my own supplier did not have and the job had to be done ASAP the two lads who work in the shed are more than helpful however the owner is most ignorant and arrogant person I have ever felt with in my 20 years experience I cannot stress how much not to use this company also the only reason he got one star rating is that I could not write a review without giving him a star

had 5 sections of work fitted with concrete base posts and boards. service and quality very good. pleasant workmen and left job clean and tidy. my neighbours all had fencing fitted by Mersey Fencing and they were happy also. -----well recommended

Kept us waiting all day and then didn't turn up. Called them and spoke with the boss who couldn't give a toss. This was to give a quote for the work. What would they have been like if they got the job.

A friend of mine suffered a very poor experience under these very, very rude people that refused to put right costly damage to an elderly neighbour's property causing them enormous stress. I would avoid these people.
