Shortly after his departure, I received a detailed quotation which I happily accepted. Mike turned up on time, polite, knowledgeable, did a thorough job quickly. Would def use this company again.

We received a quoted price of £110 plus VAT for gutter repair. Jack and Noah were very professional and pleasant technicians and they immediately spotted was slightly misaligned. They told me that this work was not covered by the company's repair quote and it would cost me an additional £115 plus VAT for what was a 5 minute job! So be aware this company has hidden extra charges. There's no transparency on its website, or within the original quote, on what work is included, or excluded, and no price list of the cost of potential additional works. I felt I was put on the spot with this unexpected extra charge. They were already on site, ladder up on the wall and I had a leaking gutter which needed fixing.

I used Sams gutters to install some gutter trays in March 2025. Within a few months the majority of the trays had slipped down into the gutter. They sent someone to do the remedial work- their technician acknowledged that the initial workmen just hadnt done their job correctly. Fast forward another 9 months and one of the trays that was supposedly fixed in place has now slipped back into the gutter. Sams gutters are saying that because its outside of the initial 12 month period its not covered by the guarantee. Lets say i wont be using this company again for any work

Dropped a star only because our appointment was rescheduled a few times as we have tricky access to our top front gutter and the technicians needed different equipment than they previously thought, but they were very apologetic and the new appointments were arranged quickly and conveniently. Excellent service, with careful attention to detail

Josh was great, took the time to explain to me the issue and quickly got on with it. Simple issue and fixed it quickly. However disappointed with the fact that there were multiple leaks in different places caused by 2 different issues. The call out only covers 30mins of work and the second issue was missed so had to call out again and was therefore charged again despite both issues being 5-10min fixes and could have been addressed in the initial call out.

Alfie rang because he was able to come early. When he got to me he got down to business straight away, managing to get into all the high, difficult corners. Thank you.

I needed my gutter fixing as it had a leak, so we called Sam’s Gutters. They charged me c.£550 on the first visit (Sept’25) and they cleaned the gutters, but did not fix the leak. I was expecting for that quote for them to fix the problem. A subsequent quote was received for a further c.£650 to replace the gutter. I then scheduled three separate appointments which were cancelled at the last minute on three separate occasions: 30/10/15: “Unfortunately I’ve just been informed that due to a family bereavement our technician is not able to come tomorrow and do the work for you.” 07-11-25: “I do apologise but we have just been informed that our technician is unable to come tomorrow as his helper needs to attend a funeral.” 12/12/25: “Unfortunately, our technician was unable to attend on 11th of December due to his helper being unwell.” This is a minor repair and it has now dragged on since Sept’25. Hence, I requested a refund and I will go to anther supplier. The refund was refused.

Sales team were excellent in arranging a visit for us at short notice. Conor was very friendly and knowledgeable about our gutters and the problems we were having. He was very willing to try to fix our issue, and when it became apparent that more was needed he was very reassuring and explained everything superbly. Will definitely be working with him and the team at Sam’s again!

The company cancelled via text 3 hours before they were due to unblock a downpipe, leaving me in the lurch. They offered to book me in over a week later and then didn't respond to my texts. Had to book someone else as this company seems unreliable and is non-responsive.

Sam arrived in the promised time slot, fixed the problem promptly and politely and gave advice on other problems. Excellent service.

So Josh was done checking and cleaning the guttering back and front of the house in about 40 minutes he confirmed the gutters and downpipes were clear and the hedgehogs did not need replacement. Josh was friendly and efficient which I appreciated and he cleaned up after the work was done.

Booked in to inspect my flat. In the morning I received a call from the technician asking if there's parking, which admittedly is a bit tricky . However there is usually off street parking nearby. Then without being notified the technician doesn't return leaving my tenants waiting. Appointment cancelled and told I'd need to arrange a parking permit for them to come and do the job. Could have saved a lot of time and energy had they mentioned this prior to the appointment .

Poor service - after having explained my issue in detail to the sales team, including sending videos and photos to try to illustrate it as best I could, a technician came , spent about 40 mins here and left having cleared one gutter (when it actually needed repairing ) . He then pretended to have cleared the front gutter too, which I was charged for until I persuaded the team it hadn’t been done. Following the visit all the same issues I originally called with remained, but they wouldn’t help me with this, simply saying they don’t guarantee, and aggressively chasing payment for the poorly done job. I’ll now have to start again elsewhere 🙃

Overpriced and terrible service. On first visit they didn't clean gutters properly. After some long email correspondence with their unhelpful and rude operations assistant Malene, the " professional technician" revisited and removed the debris from the rear gutters which was not done properly on the 1st visit. Less than 10 days later (when we had the first rain after the cleaning) water was still dripping/leaking from the original gutter I was concerned about . Have been told this is not covered by the guarantee, well there's a surprise. But they can charge me more to come and assess. No thank you! Stear clear of this company.

I’ve moved into a new property and wanted to double check if the downpipes needed any maintenance work. I had a really good experience - from the first phone call where I spoke to a friendly person who clearly explained that they offer free checks/quotes, to the very helpful and professional person who attended to check all the downpipes and said that I just needed a very minor fix and carried it out on the spot for a small fee (after offering not to charge!). Would highly recommend and will contact Sam’s again if we need further work.

Jack and Noah, from Sams Gutters, were a real breath of fresh air They really wanted me to understand the process and give me the best advice possible. This is the second time I have used this firm and they will be my automatic choice for roof issues and guttering in future.

We hired Sam’s to repair and replace our gutters two years ago. A few months ago, we started experiencing issues with their work. Initially, we assumed it was just a clog and called Sam’s again, only to discover that the original installation lacked the proper angle for proper drainage. As a result, water was pooling in one area, causing ongoing problems. Not only did Sam’s attempt to charge us for the second callout, but they have also outright refused to correct their faulty installation. Instead, they dismissed us by citing a "guarantee of work" clause and have since ignored our attempts to contact them. Their conduct is blatantly disappointing and unprofessional when something goes wrong.

I discovered a small leak in the ridge of my roof. I was trying to find someone to repair it and quite by accident I noticed that repairs have been carried out on a house in my neighbourhood. I spoke with Adam and Teddy and arranged for them to carry out an inspection of my roof and prepare a quote. They came promptly at the arranged time, were very knowledgeable and professional, very quickly identified the problem and advised on required remedial works. They have prepared an estimate, and I am looking forward to the repairs being carried out next week. I very strongly recommend both Adam and Teddy – both absolutely great!

I have had my own gutters cleaned by Sam’s gutters. I was really impressed by the service. I requested a quote for some work to be done on my mother’s roof. Rob came round and I was really impressed by his attitude friendliness and how he thoroughly looked at the roof. After getting quotes from three other businesses, we decided to go ahead with Sam‘s gutters. This is partly due to me feeling comfortable having Rob come round to my mother‘s house. I will leave a further review after the work has been done. Looking forward to seeing Rob next week.

Can't believe it... first guy who came to sort out the gutter leaking at the front and back of my house didn't manage to do it... I paid.. Then they send another team.. they didn't sort it out neither...at least I didn't pay for the 2nd service.... I had a reply from Lexy(Alex) don't know if this is a real person.. this person says that I don't exist on their system but when I called they knew my name .. I asked to speak to Alex but they couldn't get to her/him and after that they hung the phone...... ridiculous

Do not waste your time with this company. I booked twice for gutters cleaning/repair and both my appointments got cancelled at a minute notice. I have lost time and money waiting for them and now I’m back to square one.

Labi was absolutely brilliant, lovely and professional. A couple of reschedulings due to the weather. But arrived on the day before alloted time and cracked straight on with the work as details of repair work were discussed during the consultation a month ago. Had soffits, fascias and guttering replaced. He provided sound advice on the repairs needed during the consultation and also on the day noticed other minor repairs that required attention. He was able to obtain the materials on the day and finish the planned repairs plus extra repairs same day. The finished work looked professional and robust and he adviced to keep an eye on it initially when it rains in case there are any leaks and if there are to contact Sams Gutters.

Gutter repair by a professional company. From initial enquiry to invoice payment, the process was smooth, professional and honest. Skilled repair for what was needed, unlike numerous others who had over-quoted and indicated unnecessary extras. It was refreshing to deal with a professional 'corporate-like' company for a change and at a fair price.

We are so happy with Sam's Gutters. Other roofers encouraged us to replace the entire roof or even sludge the roof but this company gave us a sensible solution and quote and completed all the work in one day. To boot, they only quoted the replacement of 6 tiles and actually ended up replacing 25 for no extra charge. I can't recommend this company enough!

They used to be good - but no longer. Explicitly explained what the problem was before the visit - they sent a technician that did not repair the gutter, simply 'cleaned' the gutter. AVOID sams gutters - there are now better and cheaper alternatives on the market. ALSO, they cancelled their follow up meeting with me, providing me with a bogus reason that their van was broken down, I was waiting 1 month for them to come. Unprofessional.

Job still not resolved .....Im sorry to say that my experience so far has been a very dissapointing one . Having spoken the sales people in the office I had sorted a quote and went ahead with the job to replace my gutters , I had researched reviews and found them to be generally very good The technician was very nice when he came to fit the gutters and seemed to know what he was doing although I was not entirely convinced with the way the gutters looked as they jutted out from the building on ill fitting fascia board and didnt seem to sit correctly to collect water ..Once the rain came it was apparent that the water was leaking onto a part of the wall and one of the joins was dripping . Being extremely disappointed and knowing what water damage can do to a building we arranged for the technician to return to fix this . Thinking it had been corrected after the second visit I was upset to find the water still dripping down the wall and the join still dripping and asked for someone to return for a third time to resolve this . A new technician came along, visit number 3 to look at what needed repairing and finally visit number 4 a week later more or less to start replacing the gutters as they should have been done in the first place . Frustratingly half way through he had to abandon the job as a roof tile the previous technician had glued onto the roof, fell onto his head (thankfully he is ok but was visibly shaken ) he left in haste leaving my house completely without gutters as hed removed everything. He also admitted the job done previously was not very good and wokmanship was poor Now today I find myself over a week later , visit number 5 , being let down yet again , having arranged to be at home and not at work in order to get this resolved once and for all only to be called up to be informed the technician is not coming due to illness . I understand this happens but due to the current situation of being left with no gutters on my house , heavy rain over last few weeks and water pouring down exterior walls , having to wait two weeks before someone can come back is not acceptable... a damp patch has now appeared on my interior wall as water is seeping through a vent .This level of service is incredibly disappointing and Im beyond angry as the company seems to have no intention to resolve this as a priority . Will they actually come and fix this or leave me with no gutters and continuosly cancel appointments . Perhaps unlikely given Ive written this review .

Labi arrived exactly on time and managed to fix a persistent leak from the gutter which was causing damp into the wall. He replaced the loose pipe and fixed everything in place within the hour's appointment. He was very flexible, having to get three big ladders through my first floor flat windows due to narrow hallways in our Victorian house/flat conversion. He provided photos of the fix and an explanation of what further may need to be done. Would highly recommend!

Don't go near this bunch. Serious rip-off merchants. Initial contact seemed great and I was quoted a competitive rate for fixing some guttering problems from sending the photographs they requested. Then they turned up (at a different time to that stated) and suggested that while it was a "straight forward job" they would need to send a different quote to that previously given. They then tried to charge me four-times the original cost. This added up to a lot of money. I told them I would need to get other quotes, all of which came close to the original price this bunch had given me (four times cheaper) and it has since been done very successfully by another company. I find this kind of behaviour pretty disgraceful.

We have used Sam’s Gutters several times now. They always come on time and complete the job with no hassle. They advised that I need our gutters cleared every other year rather than every year without me asking, which suggests to me that they are trustworthy and genuinely interested in delivering good customer service. Highly recommended.

This morning, JD and Cianan visited to repair my leaking gutter and fix a loose roof tile. They could not have been more friendly, helpful and, most of all, efficient! Both jobs successfully completed in less than half an hour! Highly recommended!!!

Neighbours used this business and we got constantly blocked by their drivers. Asked many times to please not parked behind our car but they kept apologising, moving and doing it again. They came today to re-do work to one of the neighbours who clearly was unhappy with the work and they blocked our car twice and refused to move despite being so much parking around. bullies and abusive

Long lead in time from booking, then they cancelled two appointments meant it was nearly two months from asking for a quote to them coming round. Then on the day they were an hour later than the latest time they were meant to be coming, meaning all morning had been wasted waiting for them. Then while my girlfriend was putting our daughter for a nap (because of the time they came) they were in and out in less than 10 minutes, couldn't even wait to give my girlfriend a proper explanation or talk to her about the requested work, even though we had been waiting them for months and they were an hour late, they didn't wait 10 minutes. It appears they said to a friend of ours who happened to be there that they couldn't do the work because it is on a conservatory, which it isn't, it is a flat roofed extension. So all that waiting, and not even a proper quote at the end of it. If that is what they are like when they are trying to get business, the mind boggles as to what they would be like if they already had it.

We booked for them to come, we waited all day and in the end they did not turn up. They phoned us around 3pm saying that in the end they could not make it. We were annoyed but we still arranged another date and once again, the same thing happened: no show! Very unreliable. I would not recommend them and in the end we went with another company. Very poor service.

Some firms like to send someone round and then you're forced into a 'take it or leave it price' whereas Sam' Gutters took my postcode details and calculated a price based on my needs. Tomas arrived on time with all the right equipment and solved the gutter problem quickly and left everything clean and tidy. He was extremely helpful and professional. I would definitely recommend Sam's Gutters and would use them again.

Can't recommend. Did not do as they promised, and charged excessively for what little they did. After receiving spam texts (against GDPR!) because we had used Sam's many years prior, I asked them to clean and ensure down pipes were unblocked. They said they did a visual inspection via Google where the house can be clearly seen and agreed. They said they could not clean all the gutters even though they had done so previously. Blamed H&S! This I find interesting as they are generally happy to climb up 2 levels without anyone else there. Now, I am not endorsing dangerous activity - but I cleaned them years ago when i had a sufficiently long ladder. Not just that, there were some leaves sitting in a gulley above the gutter, They could not be bothered to remove these, apparently that is another job called roof cleaning!! Quote from Sam's Gutters- "We are specialists in gutter cleaning, gutter repairs, roof cleaning and roof repairs of both residential and commercial properties" oh dear, oh dear. sounds like when you end up waiting on an offshore help desk call, and you know how frustrating that can be. Great Service! Sam's gutters guys arrived on time and they were very polite and helpful in investigating the issues with our roof and did a great job on repairing it. We have had no issues with our roof since then.

They are cowboys. Spent lots of money for them to clean the gutters and at the first rain I had water gushing into bathroom through the lighting . I called to ask a refund and they refused to do so. Very poor service ! DO NOT USE THEM! Following Sam's Gutter response I will have to add that yes I requested a refund as there was nothing to rectify since I had to call someone urgently to check why was raining in my bathroom (wrongly assuming was a leak on bathroom ceiling). The person who came to my rescue then told me he had to clean the gutter and that was the reason of the leak. So, I obviously requested a refund, but Sam's Gutter refused to grant it. I therefore applied for small claim and that's why Sam's Gutter sent me a refund - which by then included also the bill of the person cleaning the gutter following the leak and the small claim application cost. So, this is the full story. all the best

Always wary of using trades people for the first time it was a pleasure to see the lady n gent arrive on a freezing cold day and showed pictures of the guttering block and set to work to remove it. Not a review of the repair team - never met them. Couldn’t consider going with them after speaking with a rude receptionist/scheduler. Clearly reading from a script and trying to get you to commit to a site visit without disclosing any details on pricing (we know we need a gutter replacement).

Great, fast and professional experience dealing with these guys. I needed the guttering at the front of my house replacing and after the initial assessment I was given a date not too long afterwards. The price was reasonable and the work was completed in a few hours. They cleaned up during and after you'd not notice they were there (apart from the shiny new gutters of course). Unprofessional. £1.7k and gutters are still leaking after the work. They are demanding I pay for the gutters/fascias that have been fitted, but I asked you to provide a quote to fix leaks. If it's leaking still then the job is clearly not finished!! I understand the problem is on the neighbours side, but a professional would have identified this when they first looked at it. i.e. 'We can't stop the leak because your neighbours gutters are connected to yours and are full of rubbish'. Steer clear is my advice.

Make sure you get a quote after they have looked at the job in person They did a unfinished job for us in December that they clearly underestimated because they didn’t visit site before hand They shouldn’t have started a job they clearly couldn’t do or wanted to do for the money quoted And stupidly our management company payed them without asking the clients ie US if we were happy with work done they shouldn’t have paid them on a incomplete job Then sams gutters said they underestimated for the job and it be another £6500 to finish the job Absolutely disgusting business behaviour The got money for nothing don’t trust this company

I found Sam's gutters extremely helpful to deal with. They were prompt in the arrangement and actual visit, they were informative as the condition of my gutters and general roof fabric, including remedial actions which they were happy to discuss undertaking as additional works. I would have given 5 stars if they were able to give a smaller window for attending the property. I think this was a three hour window.

Max was very thorough and explained everything he was going to do. He cleaned and repaired our gutters. The price was more than I was expecting and I had to call to find out why. It made sense once it was explained. I would use Sam's Gutters again.

Great job, awkward access didn't give them any issues. Quickly identified repairs required and put them right.

We had excellent customer service - the technician was able to quickly diagnose the problem as our roof and not the gutter and advise accordingly. There was no call out charge and no attempt to do unnecessary work. While it was not the news we wanted (we now need our roof repaired) we will definitely recommend Sam's service to others and call them in future when needed - it’s fantastic to find a company you can trust to be honest.

Sam's were supposed to clean our gutters front and back. We asked if they needed access to the garden to reach the back gutters but they said they could reach them all from the front of the house, which seemed surprising as it's a terraced house. Only after they left and we inspected the work we found they hadn't done the back of the house at all.
