Alex from AB Building and Electrical Ltd was described as very nice and polite during an electrical check, and he fitted a bathroom light and fixed a shower. Another reviewer said Alex also changed a faulty plug socket and took the rubbish away. One reviewer was happy with smoke alarm rewiring, calling the workmen quick, tidy and pleasant, and another said updated smoke alarms were fitted by someone friendly and polite who turned up on time and cleaned up. Reviewers often reported that workers did not turn up for appointments or failed to return calls. Several drivers were criticised for bad driving and for parking work vans so they blocked a street and a braille crossing. One reviewer said a staff member was rude and called them a liar, and another objected to being contacted by an AI assistant. One reviewer reported that photographs were taken inside their house without their knowledge.
A lovely guy called Alex came today to do the electrical check, he was very nice and polite, he checked the sockets was working okay, he put a light in the Bathroom and fixed the shower :)
Shocking driving on m56 at Daresbury slip road by white AB van and a flatbed truck with same company logo. Overtaking traffic on hard shoulder and cutting other vehicles off as they pulled back on to motorway. Almost crashed into me. Someone please have a word with these drivers before they injure law abiding drivers. 07.08.2026 1400
Bad drivers! and again in wigan today 29th July 2026 no chance in a year.
Didn't turn up twice for council electrical check
Workers failed to turn up and dont contact you back and suddenly the phone lines dont work!
Haven't had my appointment with them yet but I am sick to death of receiving calls from am AI assistant. Have an actual human call. I refuse to speak to AI.
Had a great experience from Alex who came to do our electrical check. He also changed our plug socket as one side wasnt working. Very polite and very helpful. Also took all the rubbish from the socket.
Perfect for all your building and electrical needs
Drives like a tool
Great experience. Had them in to fit updated smoke alarms. Friendly and polite, turned up on time, and cleaned up after himself, including taking all rubbish away.
Extremely arrogant and self important people. They seem to think they have a God given right to be inside your property.
These incompetent workers will book an appointment without you confirming anything and then text you a day before the appointment. I don't even know who this company is and they think they'll be coming in tomorrow to complete an EICR. Learn how to operate properly or don't do it all.
Think they're perfectly fine parking their work Van's wherever they please blocking the entire of my street and even went as far as blocking a braille crossing which is necessary for the blind. Have some respect.
Your workmen came this morning to rewire smoke alarms. Very happy with there work, quick, efficient tidy pleasant men. Thank you
Great service.
Failed to turn up for my electrical safety test on 31st Aug 21 a morning appointment, i emailed for an explanation as had a family member wait in for them, was told they cancelled it, no apology just a new appointment
Do not reply to phone calls, even at prearranged times.
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE Just found out they taken photographs of inside my house ! Rung to arrange an appointment left work early. They walked in and looked and went "oh 2 consumer units gonna take 2 hours you need to rearrange we meant to finish at 1400hrs" ring back office who is totally rude and called me a liar.
Didn't turn up on day of appointment, re-booked n didn't turn up yet again. 2 days wages lost waiting in for these fools.look elsewhere, Dont use this company
Brilliant service and puntuality I'm very impressed with the work thankyou andy
