We recently had our solar panels and battery storage system installed by Lanman Solar, and we could not be happier with the whole experience. From the very first email, the entire process felt straightforward and professional. The initial quote was easy to understand and competitive. The final quote was tweaked slightly (in my favour) due to not needing quite as many panels as first thought. They were also happy to work to a suggestion I had for the cable routing, ensuring it could be hidden from view on it's way to the battery in the garage. On the day of installation they turned up on time and cracked straight on with it, managing the full install and showing me how to setup the app in one day. I'm very happy with the service provided by Lanman Solar, and that includes both the installation team and the ladies in the office. I would highly recommend using this local company.

Lanman Solar have been brilliant from… Lanman Solar have been brilliant from initial contact through to site survey, installation and help and advice regarding setting up Exporting my spare electricity. The installation crew were polite and carried out their work quickly and efficiently leaving the site clean and tidy when finished. The pricing for the work was middle of the road from 15 quotes, a fair price for a great job.

Lanman Solar did a great job installing 17 solar panels, 2 batteries and an inverter over the last few weeks. This was a problematic install due to some overhead electricity cables that were not shielded and I was very impressed with the professional way everything was handled. In fact from quoting through to final commissioning and removing of scaffolding I have been impressed. Thanks to a sunny summer, our 4 bed house is now virtually self sufficient for electricity.

When my inverter failed I contacted Lanman Solar, a local Ipswich firm, for advice. They proved to be both proficient and professional and quick to respond to my queries. Talking to them by phone and email I felt in 'safe hands'. Today I'm very pleased with the new inverter and battery that Mason installed last Monday. In addition Lanman led me through the FIT maze to reach a satisfactory conclusion with regards to the meter/battery installation. I would wholeheartedly recommend this Suffolk firm!

Dealing with Lanman Solar has been a real pleasure. I'm so glad that I decided to go with them to install our solar and battery system. There was no hard sell. They explained everything to me in layman's talk and answered all my questions to my satisfaction. They let me decide on the project at my own speed. Once the system was agreed upon upon a date was set for the installation. They arrived when they said they would and they worked bloody hard under incredibly hot conditions (around 30 degrees). The system was fully commissioned and explained to me and there remote monitoring is a great comfort. Everyone at Lanman, including all the back room staff have been wonderful. I would thoroughly recommend them.

Great experience from start to finish. From initial telephone call requesting a quote which arrived very quickly and was easy to understand to the site visit from Pietro who was able to answer our questions and advise us on the products. Scaffolders were very timely and quick. Instillation technicians were great and on site for only 2 days, they were very respectful and happy to answer questions. After instillation all the paperwork was emailed to us in just over a week and we have already applied for our export license. Amazing and all round excellent service. Would highly recommend.

I have recently had an additional 6 panels fitted with a new addition of of Tesla battery as a back-up.The initial assessment and recommendation for the additional panels were excellent and the fitting was done by two very personable young men who were very efficient and dealt with the problem of incorporating my existing panels with skill. Thoroughly impressed with Lanman. I contacted Lanman for a quote for a new battery system. Pietro came along to do a site visit and was extremely informative. He then provided a series of options and we agreed on a Solax floor mounted battery system. The time period to install was remarkably quick, with the equipment fully fitted within 3 weeks of order placement. Installation was a breeze and the subsequent back up responsiveness has been excellent. I really cannot fault Lanman for their price, speed and overall customer service. It's worth pointing out that service doesn't end at the point of installation as these guys can make adjustments to settings and systems for some time afterwards.

We had a great experience with Lanman. After initially providing a quote last year which we didn't progress with due to a newborn baby, we got back in touch this year after the energy price spikes due to the US/Iran war and they honoured the original quote. After a bit of back and forth over email to ensure everything we wanted would be possible, us increasing the amount of panels and batteries we wanted and position of them within our garden, Lanman were still by far the best price. The panels were installed over two days in our garden, alongside two batteries, the inverter and backup switch for power cuts in/on our garage. They turned up on time on both days, got on with the work without any fuss or issue and we were very impressed with the coordination of the digger and deliveries of equipment. Pietro answered any questions we had and talked us through everything we needed to know. He has a very relaxed demeanour and everything seemed to go without a problem. Or if it didn't, it certainly didn't come across to us that anything hadn't gone to plan. We would highly recommend Lanman to anyone thinking of getting solar panels and/or battery storage. Lanman Solar are a very helpful and professional company. They fitted solar panels for me last year with a battery, and have recently fitted another battery and an EV car charger. They are always prompt, efficient and trustworthy. I highly recommend.

I am not normally one for leaving reviews - I have waited for the Lanman install to settle in and see how its working for us and have to say we are very happy with everything (20 panels split between 2 elevations and a Sigenergy battery set up) and the results are very much worth the investment. The Lanman team could not have been more friendly and helpful at every stage from design advice to install and commission. The Battery storage is supplying all of our electric during the peak times in the evenings and is fully charged by mid morning to then allow the solar to both power everything in the house and supply all of the excess back to the grid - we are exporting a lot more than than the house uses, so we are now with nearly zero electricity bill and building a big amount of credit. we did have to change to Octopus though for the flexible and easy use as OVO electric could not do what we needed - very simple and again assisted by the Lanman team. Yes I would absolutely recommend the Lanman team.

Lanman Solar are an amazing company would recommend to anybody that is thinking of having solar panels, from my first enquiry for a quote they have been outstanding. Pietro came and did a site survey in May, he was very helpful and I did not feel at anytime pressured to make a decision. Within a month we had 8 panels installed along with an EV charger all finished and up and running in 6 hours. Thanks again for a outstanding service from start to finish.

We were very impressed and extremely happy with the install and care and efficiency of this company. we would highly recommend them . Within one month of first enquiring about solar panel and battery installation, Lanman had: i) carried out a pre-installation visit; ii) re-designed the layout based on the site visit (this included increasing the number of panels and the size of battery storage); iii)installation and commissioning was carried out in one day. Work was carried out efficiently and to a high standard. Very reasonable cost (VAT-free). Demand from the national grid has reduced by at least 99% and we expect this to be reflected in our eletricity bills from now on.

The whole experience was first class....from initial 1st contact with Amelia who helped me with my many questions..... the design and quote ( which was £3k cheaper than identical system with Octopus ) .....to the survey and installation by Pietro and team! I can't rate them all highly enough....from initial contact to install was around 5 weeks and the system has surpassed my expectations. If you want a company that is hugely knowledgeable,will advise you without any agenda and installation team that take absolute pride in what they do then this is the company for you. After having 5+ different quotes for a PV system, it was Lanmans turn, their quote was fair and very transparent. Pietro and Amelia throughout were very helpful. Pietro helped me decide on how to build my system, he wasn’t pushy unlike some other installers, he gave me facts about the pros and cons. After his site survey I was sold. This was the company for me. Scaffolding was put up with little disruption 6 days before install. I am only 1 day post install and expect scaffolding to be down this week. Pietro had the system up and running around 6 hours after he arrived on installation day, which is very impressive for the 15 panels installs across 3 different aspects. Last thing to wait for is the authority to export and my MCS certificate which I have no doubt will arrive in good time. 10/10 for Pietro and his team. Two weeks ago we had 17 solar panels and Tesla battery and gateway storage system installed by Lanman Solar, we could not be happier with the whole experience. From the very beginning, the process felt straightforward and transparent. The initial call with Amelia and site visit from Pietro was thorough, with both taking time to explain options, battery storage, and expected savings without any pressure. Additional panels we added following the site visit and later we changed to a Tesla setup, all of which was handled promptly and nothing ever seemed too much trouble. Their quotes were detailed, simple to understand and competatively priced. Pietro called us a week after the installation to check all was good and also sent us our handover pack which contained the documents required for setting up our export account etc 🔧 Installation & Workmanship The installation itself was smooth and professionally handled. Pietro and Lewis arrived at 08.30 and completed the work in a (long) day. As you can see from the photos their workmanship is of the highest standard. It’s clear they take pride in their work, and the system was up and running as promised the same day. 🔋 Solar Battery Performance The Tesla battery has been a game changer. It stores excess energy during the day and allows us to use it in the evening, which has significantly reduced our reliance on the grid. For the past week we have not used any electricity from the grid and on a couple of days the panels have generated 35kWh, most of which should eventually be approved for export - it is only mid March !!! 💷 Value for Money While not the cheapest quote I received, the convenience of buying from a trusted local company, friends had used Lanman Solar for their own and their village hall projects and recommended them to us, was worth an extra few hundred pounds. We researched battery options and while a Tesla battery is more expensive we are happy with our choice. We feel we have a professional installation. Given the long-term savings and reliability of Tesla, it feels like a solid investment. 🌱 Overall Verdict Lanman Solar is a reliable, knowledgeable, and customer-focused installer with 100% 5 star reviews. Pietro has bags of experience and the ability to design and explain high-quality systems at a reasonable price. They are without doubt a great choice if you’re considering solar panels and battery storage in East Anglia.

We contacted Lanmarn initially to see if they could install 4 matching pylontech US3000 batteries in addition to the 2 we already had. My initial intention was to purchase the batteries myself - Lanman quoted for this but stated they couldn't certify the batteries if they hadn't supplied them, so I then looked at Lanman supplying the batteries, but they were unable to source these. However, they then suggested that perhaps I should consider the US5000 batteries instead (they also said that it's want worth replacing my existing batteries if they were working well, which they are) - I wasn't aware this was an option, but these batteries could be supplied by Lanman, and were only about £100 extra per battery, but because they were 5kw each instead of 3kw, this meant I only needed 3 batteries, so Lanman's advice meant i saved about £400 on the cost of the batteries, and also got an extra 15kw of storage instead of 12kw added to my system. The engineers turned up exactly within the time slot booked and installed without any issues, and the system works perfectly. I would definitely recommend Lanman, both for advice and installation.

When we decided to install solar panels on our sports pavilion, we tendered four companies. Lanman Solar were the only one to visit the site, and submit a package that met our requirements and budget. The Lanman team spent 2 days, and despite heavy wet, cold, windy conditions, completed the work on time! We are extremely pleased with the high quality of product and support service and thoroughly recommend Lanman Solar. East Bergholt village may have plans for further solar projects, and will be happy to engage Lanman Solar again 😀.

I decided to upgrade the capacity of my existing Solax battery system fitted 5-6 years ago by Pietro. Ended up with a complete new system 22KW storage and 7.5KW inverter etc. Also had my existing solar panels pigeon proofed (better late then never) and a slick Hypervolt EV charger fitted! Excellent job by Pietro and Lewis really pleased with all the work and support and another cracking job completed. would reccomend these guys any day.

We had 12 solar panels and an inverter fitted today, by Pietro and Lewis. A very friendly and professional service was provided. Pietro was very thorough in explaining how the system and inverter worked. We have sourced our own 16.1 kwh battery, Pietro has inputted all the settings on the inverter and explained the connection process for the battery for when it arrives. Lanman Group Ltd installed a Solar IBoost to replace a defective Immersun unit supplied by another company. Pietro arrived on time, removed the defective unit and replaced it within the hour. I spoke to a few solar installers and Lanman (specifically Pietro) were great to deal with, not pushy, down to earth, no salesman patter, just straightforward and sensible. They turned up and did what they said they would, they were similar in price to others and I think I made a good choice going for them.

Needed solar panels and a battery, all major suppliers used on line estimates with google maps to look at your property. Not Lanman being local they were extremely helpful, site visit, full explanation and top class equipment. Installation went smoothly and since that date I’ve not used and power from the grid. Even better their price was extremely competitive. Highly recommended.

We've recently had Lanman istall Solar Panels and Tesla Battery. We looked, spoke and met with a number of Installers. Lanman suited our needs ideally...one of which was years of experience and not being a start-up. Pietro was very proficient and a good problem-solver. Nothing was too much trouble. Very easily contactable and quick to answer. Our DNO approval was superfast and all of the lanman admin work was very efficient. Other organisations we spoke with seemed to have different people doing things and, even at the enquiry stage, there was some confusion. Pietro seems to work a lot of hours but it does pay as he's clearly abreast of all that's going on. Often in these reviews the Customer will sing praises and speak of the Installer or supplier being 'polite', 'tidy' and 'punctual'...Lanman are all of these but a lot more, especially in the areas that matter such as expertise, listening to the customer and making things happen. I should also say, that there was definitley an unpressured and yet very personal approach. I think we've had very good value for money and can see why they are a successful business. Update: Since the initial install, I have to say that the Solar panels are working amazingly well. Even on quite heavily overcast days, they have produced well (compared to the older panels we had previously). The Tesla battery has also learned how we use power and seems to have worked out when to send power to the grid. We had one unscheduled power cut a couple of weeks back and momentarily the lights went out before coming back on again, so that was a good experience (Neighbours were in the dark!). We've now had two battery 'expansion' packs which should mean that for an all-electric house, as we are, we will never again pay for anything other than cheap-rate electricity, and nothing at all when we have summer brightness. It's a fortunate positiion to be in...as well as the environmental benefits. After the experience with Pietro (Lanman) with the first works, it was unlikely that there'd be the need to look anywhere else for service...however, I did price-compare and was pleasantly surprised to find that Lanman's quotation couldn't be beaten by others. Responsiveness, Reliability, Service and Value...all in one place. Lovely job.

Made an online enquiry which was answered very quickly. Came to my house in the morning and diagnosed the problem and fitted a new inverter first thing the next morning. Contacted Lanman after being declined by larger national companies as not a straight forward roof to fix solar panels as our roof has many levels and dorma windows. Made a request online Pietro was back by mail the same day which was at the weekend. Pietro gave an initial quote and then visited us to look at the situation which aloud us to add further panels. We agreed a 4.85KW solar system with 11.6kWh battery storage. The team attended site on a rainy day 4 weeks later with Lewis carrying out the fitting of the panels on the roof and Craig the electrician fitting the inverter and batteries in the garage . Great company and a great experience. I contacted Lanman Solar roughly knowing the system type and size I required. After speaking with Pietro he generated me a quote within 24hrs and we had a subsequent survey. Pietro was really knowledgeable and did not try to oversell any products which I really appreciated. On the day of the install Craig and Lewis arrived and got straight into the job... There were a couple of minor hiccups with the install (more to do with the electrics in my property) but Craig the electrician stayed positive and cracked it... Excellent service from start to finish with the provision of a 4.9KW PV system with 11.8KWh battery storage. From initial contact with Amelia through an onsite survey by Pietro and then expert installation by Craig and Lewis the whole process was completed in 3 weeks! Excellent service and very quick to install on a day that got it all done and scaffolding removed before Xmas. All documentation provided and together with notification to UK Power networks. The reason I chose Lanman was good all round information and questions answered when raised. Don't be put off with answerphone if can't get through. Just leave a message and they will get back to you. If you are prone to power cuts then worth asking about off grid backup. If I need it later its gonna be a wad extra, so worth getting that included in your initial quote if thinking about it. They happily provided various quotes to me e.g. with/without battery etc.

I recently had a 6kW solar system with 2 batteries fitted by Lanman Solar and it was a fantastic experience. My initial contact was with Amelia in the office who answered all my questions quickly and with great knowledge and arranged for Pietro to come and carry out a site survey. Pietro sent me a very detailed quote of 2 systems and during his first visit, went through all the options available. On the day of the install, Pietro and his team were happy to spend the time explaining everything that was happening and it was great to have a team working on my house who seemed to care about every part of the process. A very efficient and friendly service provided by Pietro. Our solar PV had been installed 7 years ago (not by Lanman), and had started casuing issues with our consumer unit RCD. We approached Lanman Solar, after seeing an installation a few doors away. Pietro called round and talked us through the options available, looked at our bills and worked out a very competitive quotation, which we received a few days later. This detailed all components, and even a satellite image of our property, with where the panels would be positioned and details of what we would expect to save. We agreed to go ahead and within a couple of weeks the installation was started. Less than a day and all was up and running. From start to finish the process was very professional and stress free. Very pleased from initial contact through to installation. Being on a steep learning curve about solar I had lots of questions, but these were answered crisply and understandably. The actual installation went very smoothly, scaffolding arranged without drama, everyone turning up bang on time, and the work inside the house was done even more discreetly than we hoped. A hardware issue was resolved promptly without any delays or dramas.
