I spoke with Andrew as I needed a new higher power supply feed installed to my garages from the metered supply to my house together with new distribution boards and related re-wiring within the garages. This was not a straightforward job in view of the location of the buildings and the related cable routing. Having agreed the outline of my requirements Andrew and I then discussed the specific stages of the installation as the work progressed so that he could ensure that everything was as I required. Andrew completed a very good installation which meets all of my specific needs, however perhaps most importantly as part of the testing process during the installation Andrew identified an earthing fault within an existing plug circuit within one of the garages which had been in existence prior to my purchase of the property. After some further investigation he was able to locate the cause of the problem and rectify the issue. Andrew was a pleasure to deal with and I would have no hesitation in using him again or in recommending him to others.

Andrew did a brilliant job on our outside lights which had both failed. He worked out how to replace one of the old fittings with a more conventional one, thus future-proofing it and allowing us to source the necessary bulbs much more easily. I bumped into Andy (literally!) the day my oven had gone bang and I was in a complete panic as I am a private chef and had a lot of work on. My new Consumer Unit was very competently fitted with the best combination of RCDs and MCBs by Andy Gunn of Diamond Kite Electrical and his colleague Mark, including new meter tails and new safety isolator box. They were careful to test and investigate the whole electrical system and discuss that fully with me, to allow the issue of either an Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) or the more detailed electrical inspection condition report (EICR), which give purchasers and renters maximum confidence that the whole system is now modern and safe. They also raised a shelf, making the wall good and replaced a couple of bulbs. Andy gave me helpful tips to raise with my solicitor on my purchase of a new house, spotting issues with the developer’s corner-cutting. Importantly they found a long-irritating and hidden upstairs lighting circuit earth fault, caused by a previous occupier (long ago) attaching new skirting boards in the master bedroom. One nail went straight through the cable in the master bedroom, thus breaking the insulation and shorting out the live wires to earth! All this solved and the bill less than expected, £627.50 very well spent I think. I will certainly consult these very professional, friendly and Covid-safe guys again.
