MJF Electrical Ltd

Superb service fitting an EV charger for me. Came out two days after making an enquiry, did a really good job, and Joe and his colleague (apologies, I'm terrible with names) showed me how to use a charger that I'd supplied, which they really had no obligation to do. I didn't bother to shop around as peace of mind is more important than saving a few quid, and their name appears just about every time a recommendation for a reliable local electrician is asked for. Matt even kept in contact while on holiday which really shows how much someone cares about his business and clients.

Excellent service, very quick to respond, extremely friendly and competent electricians, arrived early and completed the job within an hour, leaving everything very tidy. Would def recommend and use again.

Matthew and his team, fitted an EV Charger for me and a new duel RCD . Really pleased with the work really helpful and great experience. 10/10

We are MJF repeat customers which tells its own story. Matt and his team are professionals: their conduct and work is to the highest standard. We can certainly echo the positive reviews other customers have left.

I needed to get a small electrical problem done quickly and contacted Matt who was so helpful and completed the job at very short notice. Excellent reliable company and have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone. Big thank you to Matt and his team.

Sadly didn't show up or contact me to say he couldn't come.

Having used MJF previously, I trust them. I reached out earlier this week, late in the evening to have a radial circuit extended to supply a new AC system. I'm now writing the review to praise both the communication and quality of the work. Site survey, quotation, acceptance and job completion in just a few days is superb. Thank you MJF for being easy to do business with, competitive and most importantly, reliable.

Excellent company with very skilled, professional, reliable and efficient service. The tradesmen were very helpful and polite and carried out all the works as requested and with great suggestions for necessary works. Thank you very much for doing all the urgent works on very short notice. Most grateful amd will call again whenever needed 🙏🙏🙏

Great work by Matthew and team fitting a new socket and moving some wall lights. Quote was in line with expectations, work commenced quickly and was professionally completed and measures were taken to reduce brick dust and clean up after. Would happily use again

Great customer service and exceptional work carried out for my elderly parents. They were made to feel very comfortable and at ease. Helpful, friendly and very good communication. Thanks very much MJF. Will definitely use again and wouldn't go anywhere else after this first experience; would very highly recommended.

Recently had MJF round to install a new feed for my garage. They did an excellent job, the install was extremely clean and tidy and they left the workspace tidy after they left. A++ job would recommend and use them again and again.

Excellent standard of work completed. An absolute pleasure to deal with. Great communication and fairly priced. Would recommend and definitely use again.

Quick responses and work was completed promptly and cheerfully including a small extra job. Everywhere left clean and tidy. We are happy to use this local company, would call them again if needed.

Fantastic service!

Fantastic service from MJF Electrical Ltd. Prompt , polite & professional. Rectified electrical issues the same day. Very reasonably priced, would highly recommend.

Right from the initial visit Matt and his team were excellent. They offered us quick appointments, worked with care around the house and really considered our needs. The job cost was good and there were absolutely no issues. Highly recommended for their expertise and warm, efficient and friendly manner.

Matt and his team were professional polite and did a great job. Tidied up at the end of the job and we’re a good company to deal with.

MJF Electrical carried out a repair job with great speed and efficiency. I highly recommend them.

Excellent Service

The MJF team fitted my EV charger and an external socket. There were delivery delays from the manufacturer which were outside of MJF's control, but they really worked hard to ensure it was fitted as soon as it was received. The team were very professional and I am delighted with the result. I would definitely recommend MJF Electrical.

I've used MJF electrical before so they are my first choice for anything electrical. So this time my EV charger kept tripping out. MJF were quick to respond and sent two electricians when we're extremely friendly and quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. I highly recommend this company.

MJF Electrical were professional , quick and informative about the work I needed done. I'd definitely recommend them !

Excellent service

Quick to respond to urgent call out. Reasonably priced. Polite and courteous workman. Thanks.

Great electrical installation company. I have currently completely refurbished my home with a new kitchen and reconfigured electrics around my house. MJF revamped all of the downstairs electrics, fitted a new fuse board and changed the heating control to HIVE. MJF were good value for money and lads doing the work were extremely professional, clean and tidy and a joy to work with. I would thoroughly recommend MJF to anyone.

MJF Were just fantastic. We had a major electrical issue arise at our factory. Contacted MJF (Mathew) who then had men on site within hours. could not rate them high enough

First class service as always. EV charge point fitted less than 24 hours after making contact due to my tight timescales.

Worked carried quickly from quote to completion. The lads that carried the work out were great left no mess or remidal works overall a great job and highly recommend

Prompt, efficient and professional electrician staff in actioning a Domestic EIC Survey in April'25 and resulting necessary upgrades and repairs in May'25. A pleasure to deal with considerate electrician staff and very accommodating listening to our specific customer requirements. Many Thanks.

Had a second car charger installed which was a bit awkward for the engineer but he got over the hurdles and installed it , so up and running in a couple of hours I have used mjf electrical for the last 7 years for all my jobs and installations, cannot fault them for there professionalism and quality of installs Would highly recommend Rich Tewkesbury meadow

Fast, professional and very easy to deal with. Highly recommended.

edit. no longer repsond to my emails, answer calls, and left a job half finished in my kitchen. On time, responsive, courteous, tidy and a quality job well done. No fuss, great comms and availability. So lucky to have you in the area. Been struggling for an electrician round here for years. Don't change anything. Cheers!

Very speedy service - once I had got in contact! A bit of difficulty originally, with phone not answered and no return call from answerphone message. Once I had managed to make contact the job was arranged and carried out quickly and the two engineers were very friendly and competent. The quotation was towards the upper end of the anticipated range but was not unreasonable for a good job. I have reduced my original 5 star review because of the lack of any response to an email query about the car charger installation. Communication seems to be a weak point.

Such a professional yet personable team and great value.

Hadn't used the company before, found them online and chose based on other reviews and price. Received quote within a day. Team were helpful and answered questions and booked in really quickly to suit our availability. On the day the team were professional and helpful and we are really happy with the work. Would use again. Thanks.

Excellent service installing LED counter lights. Definitely recommend MJF Electrical Ltd for all types of domestic electrical work as we have had a variety of work carried out over the last three years from new wiring, lighting, sockets, garage lighting and a Pod Point.

I have no hesitation in recommending this Company. They did an excellent job in replacing my cooker extraction fan unit with no mess. The task was completed on time and the installer was very polite and courteous. A well established local contractor.

I would highly recommend these electrians. I have had mains/linked smoke alarms installed today by two lovely lads who did a very professional job. I was pleasantly surprised by the standard of cleaning up they provided, before leaving the premises. You would never have know that workmen had been in the house today. I would definitely have them again. Not the cheapest, but also very prompt and responsive.

The guys s did a brilliant job, we were baffled by the wiring and had to call the team in. They sorted it out efficiently and we're very polite and professional. Would certainly recommend.

Work (electrical certification) scheduled within a few days and done quickly and efficiently. Remedial works carried out without fuss.

Fantastic service always responds fast to any issues Highly recommend

Very happy with the service provided by MJF Electrical. Easy to contact and was booked in straightaway. Very professional, friendly and even took my broken lights/rubbish away!! Would highly recommend.

Last minute pre-Xmas emergency to fit a new oven at very short notice. The MJF team were super quick to respond and get us booked in. Efficient, cost effective job + friendly team. Top service as always!

I was very pleased to have contacted Matt to come and install a cooker hood for me. Two electricians came and installed it. They were on time and friendly got on with the job and left leaving my Kitchen tidy. Thanks for a job well done. I would highly recommend using MJF.

I had an outside light fitted and am very pleased with it.

Professional service from the quote to the finished job... no mess left, very clean. Pleased with the result. Would highly recommend.

Excellent service, came out at short notice, top class job, would thorougly recommend

Brilliant service. They were the only supplier to answer the phone. Still waiting 7 days later for the others to return call or email Explanation of options was very good. Quote within 12 hours Installation within 4 days And then Ed came to fit the EV unit and he was so efficient and helped me set up. Richard

Very happy with both the work done and the price. Very pleasant electrician too.

Would really recommend Matt and team - extremely helpful throughout the process. Managed to get us booked in quickly and completed the work very quickly too. Neat and tidy. Small issue with one of the switches but as soon as we let Matt know he arranged for someone to come and sort it out the same day. Will be getting back for work in the future. Thanks!

All repairs carried out swiftly and efficiently. Will definitely use MJF again for future electrical work.

I recently hired MJF Electrical for an electrical installation at my garage, and I couldn’t be happier with the service they provided. From start to finish, the team was highly professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. They took the time to assess our specific needs, offering valuable recommendations that enhanced the overall safety and functionality of our workspace. The installation was completed on time and with impressive attention to detail. They were thorough in ensuring that all wiring and fixtures were safely and neatly installed, and they even went the extra mile to clean up afterward. Communication was excellent throughout the project, and any questions we had were promptly and clearly addressed. I would highly recommend MJF Electrical for any electrical work—they’re reliable, skilled, and genuinely committed to delivering quality results. Thanks to their work, our garage is now a safer and more efficient environment for our team.

Really pleased with the standard of work as usual from MJF - the third time I've used them and I wouldn't consider going elsewhere. Pricing seems very reasonable. Several jobs were completed on this occasion and I'm very happy.

Took the time to answer questions and talk us through everything. Gave different options. Very much recommend.

We did a full house re-wire. Matt and the team were fantastic from quotation to completion. Constant communication with us regarding the work, we were able to customise our quote and have everything exactly where we wanted it. They even came back to fix the outside box when the nail snapped with no trouble at all. Fantastic service, couldn't have asked for more! :)

Perfect workmanship by MJF Electrical from viewing the job, issuing the quote and completing the work. Arrived on time and left site clean and tidy. Will definitely use them again and would highly recommend them to anyone requiring electrical work

Used MJF to wire in two ovens. All very professional from first approach to completion, with clear quotation/acceptance process. Very personable, work done as promised and left tidy.

Prompt and efficient service, arrived within 5 minutes of agreed time. Matthew took time to explain what he had done, any issues that had arisen, gave me a variety of options. Can't imagine the service could have been better

Excellent communication and service. Quote was competitive and quick to arrive. Tradesman hadn’t fitted a Tesla charger but took the time to work it out to help me set it up.

Really nice company to deal with. Installed an EV charger for us and advised on how best to approach the re wiring of our house. Would recommend and no doubt will be using again ourselves.

Punctual, polite and as the fault was relatively easy to fix we were given a discount so it was win, win. Would not hesitate to recommend.

Quick response. Good job done. Polite and helpful person to do the work.

Friendly team. Quick to respond to my initial online question. Problem solved quickly. Would defiantly use this company again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them. Thank you Matthew and your team.

Elecellent work came in and sorted my problems out in no time at all, even explained the issue I was having, left the work area extremely clean and tidy.

Absolutely lovely chap came to move our EV charger point from inside the garage to the front of the house. Done in record time and very neat job. Excellent service would highly recommend MJF Electrical Ltd.

Helpful, tidy, professional thank you!

All of the above. Don't be under any illusion, having a full rewire done is a messy process and there will be a period of cleaning so as long as you're prepared for that then get it done if you need to. Matt provided a very competitive quote and scheduled the works for 5 days for an empty house. Sadly, we needed to remain in the property over night which hindered Matt's team (Liam and Co) as they had to leave the house in a safe condition each night. That said, they managed the complete rewire in 6 days. During the rewire, we identified areas that we wanted to change and despite our wants, Liam and his team were very accommodating and made the alterations we wanted. They've even installed an electrical point to the front of the property that can be altered to accommodate a car charging point when the time comes. If, like me, you've moved to a property with wiring dating back to the 1960's, get the rewire done, for the safety of you and your family. Matt understood my concerns and had Liam and his team working in my property with 2 weeks of the initial ask. I'd highly recommend MJF for any electrical works you may need, from an inspection/test to a partial rewire or like me a full rewire of the property. Should i need anything additional in future i will be seeking works to be done by MJF. Support your local businesses too.

Great and fast service! Friendly and very polite staff.

Really pleased with the way the work was done. And satisfied with the results. Top marks.

I had mjf install an EV charger as well as a couple of other jobs e.g. installing lights etc. Excellent job done by the 2 electrcians. Works was clean, tidy, and they were professional. I will definitely use them again.

The electrician arrived in the time frame stated, and the work was completed quickly and professionally, I'm very happy with the experience with this company.

This firm carried out an electrical safety check after I had a flood. They were timely and efficient. I would use them again.

Very professional, friendly and all round excellent job.

The very best communication experience I have ever had with what people call trades people. Asked for quote on their online system, appt to look at the job within days and workers on site to do work the following week. Everything communicated via text and chat link. Excellent firm.

The guys were polite, friendly and professional, very competitive price, would definitely use again.

Asked for a full rewrite of our house. Started promisingly with the quotation etc. alarm bells should have been ringing when the work started and they had no electrical layout or know what was going where. We had to draw it up for them while we were working. After all that there was still old wires and sockets about and new sockets placed wrongly and wires left exposed. Matt, who I’ve spoken to a number of times ensured me they would come and fix the issues before plastering started. Only for them not to show and them he said how embarrassed he is about the whole situation. I’ve cut tires with them now but currently going down the small claims court and Matt is trying to back track and blame us for them not doing the job. I think waiting two hours after they should of arrived is more than enough time especially after all the other mess ups. I think for them communication could be a lot better and on the quotation take a pad and draw the layout and the plan there and then and then make a copy and give to the individuals doing the work. Overall very poor quality of service and I wouldn’t recommend them.

All good turned up on time and completed the works as said . Very clean and professional. I would not hesitate to recommend. Great job !!

We chose this company because they had fantastic reviews. All appeared well initially but within a couple of hours we noticed the sockets were placed asymmetrically about the window with a difference of 45mm. Over the span, it was relatively subtle and at the time the room was being cleared for plastering so it was not easy to stand in the centre so difficult to notice. We wanted them centred on the windowsill so obviously we were unhappy and immediately contacted the company and were, in the nicest possible way, told the electrician’s error in measuring was our fault and we should have spotted it before we signed off on the job. The MD insisted we had to pay again to get it rectified. This is unacceptable. Yes, we signed off before we noticed but in the first place the electrician made a mistake! In addition, one of the socket back boxes was not fixed to the wall properly as a rawl plug had been put into mortar between two bricks which had crumbled away and half of the brick it was sat on had blown out when the wall was being channelled. As a result, one side of the box could be pulled out and pushed in by over a centimetre. We raised this with the MD too but he told us the plaster should hold it in and to ask our plasterer about it!!! It also took some nagging to get our electrical safety certificate. In the end, our plumber who was taking off the radiator took one look at the socket, nipped to his van and sorted it out in 10mins. He refused payment and was in utter disbelief at the attitude of this company. In short, MJF have fantastic reviews but we advise caution. Don’t sign any of their paperwork on the day. Hold off until you have time to get your tape measure and spirit level out.

Liam came out to give us a quote for work required - very friendly & gave us some great advice - quote was with us by the end of the day .Toby who came out to fix some lighting & add sockets was very polite and friendly cleaned up all the mess and left our property tidy. We will be using MJF Electrical again for our forthcoming extension - MJF was recommended by Kilbury Construction & Conservation

Excellent service. Victor & team carried out complete rewiring of 4 bedroom house in 5 days in hottest week of year. Easy to deal with from original survey and quote and through the week of work when minor changes requested. Will certainly use MJF again and recommend to friends.

Excellent service from Electrician (Jeff), who undertook the repairs very efficiently, and effectively. Indeed he was able to repair rather than replace, which saved on the overall cost. Also received a very efficient service from Lyndsey ( office administrator).

Excellent service throughout from quote to installation. Polite, friendly staff; clean, tidy workmanship; couldn't really ask for anything else.

Very professional and helpful. Complete rewiring completed on time and budget. Everything went smoothly throughout.

Could not fault the work carried. The engineers were professional and friendly. Excellent company. Cannot recommend highly enough. If anybody requires electrical work done this is the company to go to. Outstanding!!!!

Victor is an excellent electrician. Company is reliable and we got the work done promptly. Shame not all tradespersons are of this high standard.

A huge thank you to the fantastic team at MJF Electrical for their support with Public Hearts Cheltenham Defibrillator Campaign. Matt, Willow, Lyndsey, Ollie, Ellis and all their colleagues are a pleasure to work with and their services are superb. Their expertise and service is spot on and we can't recommend them highly enough.

A great job removing two old light fittings and replacing with a new one, very pleased, thank you

Very quick, efficient and polite service. There was one issue remaining after they had left and they returned promptly to fix at no extra charge. Highly recommended!

Absolutely brilliant service. Highly recommend and will be using again in the future. Well done and professional service

Very professional, good quality and very tidy! Excellent

Jack arrived on time and diagnosed the problem. He did not have the replacement part on his van and told me that it would be a day or two before he could fix the problem. I was pleasantly surprised when he returned an hour later with the part and proceeded to get us up and running again. Jack is a very pleasant and competent young man and I would have him back any time my electrics need attention.

I’ve used MJF twice now and I can’t fault the service - from Lyndsey in the office to the electricians that come to do the job. Really responsive, arrive when they say they’re going to, do a thorough job and at a reasonable price. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend!

Professional, friendly and efficient.....Thank you very much....well recommended !!!

Called on short notice and they were able to fit me in. They quickly found and fixed the fault.

An excellent job completed by very professional electricians. Strongly recommend their services. The work completed was the upgrading of Fuse Box.

Job well done. Engineer prompt, tidy, quick, helpful with answers, and ensured our 99 year old was warm and untroubled throughout. Thank you.

We have been trying to find a good, reliable electrician for quite a while. Finally MJF Electrical came along - by which time the list of jobs that needed doing was ridiculously long and kept them busy for three long days of hard work. Liam, Ed and Nathan did an absolutely fabulous job, paying keen attention to those little details which result in a smart professional finish and taking the time to listen and answer all our questions. Our kitchen has been transformed from a dimly lit sad room to something that looks as though it came out of a magazine. This involved four different sets of lighting and some clever planning. The transformation is amazing. We had no idea it was such a beautiful kitchen. They also made huge improvements to lighting in the cellar, one of the barns and the automatic outdoor lighting system as well as PAT testing all the appliances in our holiday cottages. And we now have a functional fan in our downstairs loo. There were some other small bits and pieces too. We enjoyed the cheerful company of Liam, Ed and Nathan as much as all their professional skills for which we are now grateful every day. MJF Electricals do their bit to bring on the next generation of electricians, employing several apprentices and giving them all the help they need to begin their careers. I can not recommend this company more highly.

Very impressed with the service, quality of installation and very reasonable price. Would definitely use them again.

Very professional efficient service arrived on time and very clean workers good quality job

Prompt response to our request and an engineer appt within 24 hours. Couldn’t be more happy. Thank you guys!

Full house rewire, good turn around. Good job done

Due to a recent break in, we needed to increase our security. MJF were highly recommended and certainly didn't let us down. The quote was very competitive and the installation team arrived at the time that was pre-agreed. The install was completed quickly and any mess tidied and taken away. In fact, the 2 chaps who fitted the Ring Cam are a credit to the business Would I recommend MJF? Damn right I would

We had complete rewire. We never had to chase them up once. They arrived when they said they would. I was amazed how clean and tidy they left the house. All the workers were professional and very accommodating. I rarely leave reviews, but they were so good I felt I needed to share my views.

Would highly recommend this company! The men arrived on time, listened to what we wanted and suggested alternatives, if needed, to make it work better. The men worked hard all day to get the job done and left the areas clean and tidy. Will definitely use again in the future!

MJF Electrical Ltd has provided a throughly professional service in the complete rewiring of a classic early Victorian house in Cheltenham. Led by Matt Fitch the business exudes high standards. George, the project leader on this job is practical, efficient and very skilled. Good people to work with

Team of three externally wired ethernet connections from router to two TV boxes. No bother, very efficient and it all seems to work fine. On the expensive side, but their efficiency and the end result justifies that.

I had a minor problem with my lights. Electrician came to see what the problem was, and sorted it in a few minutes. Very happy with the service, would use again.

A very responsive and professional service.

MJF Electrical provided a service above and beyond. Polite electricians who paid attention to detail with upmost consideration. Very reasonably priced and high quality of workmanship. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

Really pleased with service, quick communication, quick visit time and paperwork and invoice received the next day. I was late booking the electrical test required for my rented flat and they got me booked in before the deadline no problems. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Fantastic company, quick response, nothing is too much trouble. Would highly recommend.

We really struggled to find someone reliable to work through a list of domestic projects - tradesmen not turning up, not replying to emails etc - but MJF were brilliant. The office is really efficient, the quote was prompt and comprehensive and we were able to book a time for someone to come without any hassle. The two-man team arrived on time, were very polite and just got on with it very quickly. The quality of the work was excellent and it was such a relief to finally work with a company which delivered on what it promised. Highly recommended.

Matt and the Team are very responsive and deliver a value for money service, I would recommend.

I have been working with Matt and his team now for about a year and have recently started the restoration of another prominent Regency building in central Cheltenham with Matt. I’m Working with Matt has been an absolute pleasure and it’s really encouraging working with a team of proactive tradesmen who are both accountable and proud of their work. I have always found the team to be very friendly and polite and their work 1st class. Communication has been excellent throughout our working relationship and a high level of trust has been achieved with them becoming key holders of projects they are working on. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company to anyone requiring electrical work done at their home or business.

MJF electrical came to our property assessed our needs and allowed us to choose the essential parts of the work and the gave us options for additional work. Explaining to them the whole project Matt gave me input on where he felt it best to fit sockets and electrics in case we changed the usage of spaces or made alterations in the future. After talking to Matt he also helped me know what I needed as a landlord and performed the work before tenants moved in to a new property for me. I couldn’t have asked for any more from him and his team.

An extremely professional and personable service offered by Matt and his team. Would highly recommend using MJF for any electrical work needed.

We are over the moon with the outcome and have recommended them to several friends and family.

Very pleased to recommend Matt and his team at MJF. Right from the outset you feel you are in good hands, with Matt clearly showing extensive knowledge of his subject and great problem solving skills. We had quite a list of things needing to be done - new consumer units, new lighting, new kitchen connections, sockets, etc. Matt communicated the options very well and gave a thorough line-by-line quote, allowing for easy fine tuning of the job.
