Avoid this company. They are untrustworthy and exploit customers. I was completely ripped off - the EICR was costly, and the service was slow. The electrician they assigned was secretive about the remedial work and costs, and communication afterward was terrible. They failed my assessment and issued warnings about conditions unrelated to my flat, which isn't an HMO or a six-story building. The man on the phone was rude and unhelpful. I strongly recommend against getting your EICR done by them, as they will unfairly fail you and charge extortionate fees.

Tony was able to come out during the weekend to resolve an electrical issue preventing me from having any working plug sockets. Tony was able to introduce an interim solution and returned at a later date to make good and finalise. Extremely knowledgable, answered any phone calls, honest and always professional. Would highly recommend and will certainly use in the future if needed.

ACS Electrical (Shoreham) FANTASTIC New LED replacements for 25 year old modular recessed 1200 x 600 fluorescent light fittings x7. Done in a day. Polite, clean, professional and very easy to deal with. No hard sell, just the requested facts and choices. Great job. Replaced with: Ledlite LED Panel Light 70w - Daylight White - Inc Driver. I chose this top spec from a list of 3, this being the last choice. They produce a glare-free bright light which is an elegant, modern ultra flat design. Love them, making my store bright in all areas - no longer dark areas. More visibilty looking in from outside too. Clean, fresh and bright. Wattage:70w Daylight 6500k Beam Angle 120 degrees

I contacted Tony on the 28th Nov 24 about a hot tub with an electrical issue- he told me his price for coming out to do an investigation was £80 per hour and that two electricians would come and investigate the issue/s fully. He went on to say that he had been in business for a long time and experience had taught him that the first problem found was not always the only problem and between him and is colleague they would diagnose all faults. Tony found one fault immediately (he came alone- no second electrician) fixed it, took him one hour and 30 mins (charged me £192) for just wiring up an isolator switch. Tony has an issue with his one hand, looks like carpal tunnel or something, his fingers on the one hand looked locked in place, I only mention his because doing fine wiring work must be a problem- he is very slow- that said he fixed the isolator, in one and a half hours… Despite me mentioning to him, firstly in a text (before he came) and then again verbally on the day of the repair (which was yesterday, the 31st Nov) that historically there had been an issue with the power breaker switch, he didn’t do any further investigations, didn’t even look at the power breaker. He told me that the issue was the isolator and it had been solved and there was no reason to look any further, even though he charged me for 2 hrs and despite my mentioning my concern about the power breaker switch, plus he had another 30mins (which he was charging me for anyway)- he chose to leave doing nothing more. The following day the breaker switch was not working (no power showing) and the tub had stopped working. So, I text Tony to ask him to come out to take a look- no reply, so after a couple of hours I then phoned him from my landline and he picked up, he said he had fixed the issue and all was well when he left. I reminded him about the promise of 2 electricians and the thorough investigation of the whole hot tub that he had promised and he got angry, said my electrical equipment was rubbish and old (it’s the same age as my hot tub- 4 years old), he then put the phone down on me. Unprofessional, slow, rude, talks the talk but in reality, does the minimum, no pride in his work, no care for his customers- or at least this customer.

Fitted a very tricky chandelier in our stairwell and they were great. Committed to getting it perfect, punctual and super professional. Highly recommended.

Excellent installation of our electric vehicle (EV) home charge point. A complicated installation (where the charge point needed to be on the other side of the house to the consumer unit) which the likes of PodPoint and Octopus refused to undertake. ACS produced a really neat result - exactly where I wanted it placed. If you're in the market for an EV charge point I can recommend them: don't go to one of the big equipment manufacturers or energy suppliers - get ACS to do a proper survey, come up with options and do the work.

Tony was very prompt in his communication, and thorough when discussing and explaining the quote to install an outdoor sensor light at the front door. He arrived when promised, and the work was completed as agreed, while also verifying that we were happy with some adjustments that had to be made due to positioning. Would recommend!

I used ACS Electrical to replace my extractor fans in my bathroom and downstairs cloakroom. Tony sourced the replacement parts from Germany and installed as soon as they had arrived. I would definitely recommend to use them and would definitely use again for any electrical works.

This company was absolutely first class. They were so quick to deal with my mum's bathroom light problem, as it was essential for her to have a light in the bathroom. So prompt and efficient. Dealing with me in Wales trying to arrange everything and being very considerate with my elderly mum and carer. Would definitely use this company again.

When Tony came round to assess the work (removal of night storage radiators and replace with modern efficient ones, and a smaller light fitting job, I was impressed by his professional approach. Of the other two tradesmen I contacted, one didn't send his estimate until I had to prompt him and the other did not turn up. Tony turned up right on time on each of the two days the job took and worked assiduously through the day, having to be persuaded to stop for a coffee! Removing the old radiators was a messy business, but he cleaned up perfectly afterwards, taking the old rads away as part of our contract. I can recommend this outfit for all aspects of the work carried out.

I had something of a mystery fault that was causing random complete electrical power failures in my flat. Once contacted Tony promptly attended. Ran some diagnostics that showed there were a number of issues with my outdated system. Recommended that I upgrade the distribution panel to one that meets latest standards. Which would resolve the issues found. As well as enhancing overall safety. He talked me through the options available. I was thus in a position to make an informed decision. Job contracted, dates set. Tony arrived on time. Worked quietly and efficiently, finishing on time. Cleared up after him and leaving the premises in a clean and tidy condition. Not only that Tony is a very pleasant friendly guy, easy to get along with. Very highly recommended.

Anthony Bull from ACS Electrical installed am electrical kiln in our house. He provided an electrical circuit for the new kiln which included a rotary isolator and an angled 16A commando socket. Anthony came to assess the work and followed it up with a written quotation. He arrived at the pre-arranged time to do the job and supplied us with an electrical certificate once the work was completed. We are very happy with the finished work and can highly recommend him. We will definitely use him again for future electrical work.

We would highly recommend ACS as a professional and experienced provider of electrical services. Most important with electrical work they inspired confidence.

We employed ACS to repair squirrel damage to the wiring of our solar panel array. The initial task was to check the panels near the entry point but ACS advised inspection of the complete array, advice that proved well founded as every wire had been chewed. ACS performance was professional throughout and they even arranged the hire of the scaffolding. The work was carried out quickly with no fuss and in a tidy manner. Each panel was checked for integrity before reassembly. Such was the care that the measured output of the assembled array was the same as at the time of initial installation. Despite the work load being more than double the initial estimate the final price was within expectations and we consider it a good job done all round.

Tony did a fab job on my problematic lighting along with being very personable and charming. He also rang to say he was on his way!!!! A rare find indeed. Highly recommended.
