Well trained engineer took time to explain procedure. When asked about length of time power would be off as hav3 tropical aquariums he quoted about an hourbut was able to leave power on untill the last point before testing. Power ws not off long. Pleasent and tidy young man who cleared up well after he had finished. I would recommend him and the company to anyone who needs electrical testing. The company also installs/ repairs alarms and other electricals.

Had five new electric night storage heaters installed last week. The electrician was first rate everything cleaned up and hoovering before leaving us. As we are both in our eighties it was so kind and such a please to have him in our home. Massive thank you please pass that on to Danny.

Wessex Electricals recently came to install smoke and heat alarms, in my Electric Cupboard, My Hallway, Living Room. Kitchen & Bedroom. Both gentleman were a pleasure to have in the home. were clean and tidy throughout, both were polite and courteous. Wessex Electricals have done other work in my flat in the past. If more companies, operated like them, there would be much more positive reviews.

I have my electrical check by Stuart. he was very professional and absolutely 100% very helpful and informative. When I was making comments about asbestos checks that was coming up he showed me the details that Wessex had on my flat. When he was working he noted that there was a hole in my roof when working in the attic. I cannot thank him enough. I've always had good workers from Wessex but is Stuart was the best.

From the first phone call to the engineer visit the service has been faultless. I needed an 8am appointment as I needed to get to work and the office staff said they would book this in I wasn’t overly convinced as it’s not always a possibility but to my surprise 8am a knock on the door. Dave the engineer has arrived and he was a lovely chatty man who completed the work quickly and efficiently. He explained various parts of the job to me and I felt happy and content while he was In My home. Wessex electricals have been fantastic and I would definitely recommend. 5 stars from me 😁

Wessex electrical did an amazing and very fast job on my front door. I reported the problem and had a call within 2 days and they came out that same day and the job was done within an hour. The gentleman was very polite and efficient.

I recently had a repair carried out by Wessex Electricals. The contractor was amazing. He immediately put on shoe covers (which I really appreciated as I have new cream carpets!) He explained thoroughly what the job entailed, the steps he would take and if I was happy for him to turn off the electricity for a very short period, checking first if I was using anything that needed a constant electricity supply. Once he had fitted the item (a new extractor fan) He took the time to talk me through how to program and use it. He was a delight to engage with! We had an engineer call today to sort out what appears to be an easy issue, he was a very friendly chap and very tidy in his work. Had it done and dusted quite quickly and left in a very clean state. Very nice man .

I bought an electric radiator sold through Toolstation from this manufacturer. When it arrived, it was already damaged. As soon as I plugged it in, I received a serious electric shock. This was frightening and could have caused real injury. I contacted the company by email immediately to report the issue, but they have not replied at all. No apology, no advice, no support. Completely ignored. Selling electrical products that are unsafe is bad enough, but ignoring a customer after a dangerous incident is unacceptable. Very rude, very disappointing, and shows no care for customer safety. I would strongly advise others to avoid this company.

Wessex fitted our kitchen the first 2 weeks in June'25 and showed first class professionalism and consideration throughout. Our property is owned by a housing association and over the years previous work needed rectifying so the job was far from straight forward, but we are "chuffed" with the end result to say the least and doubt the service would not have been bettered had we been private home owners. Wessex electrical go above and beyond to carry out the work at my property. The engineer was polite, considerate and informed me of the work they were going to carry out before starting. This company went above and beyond the call of duty they had to do various work which had started with a leak from flat above ( both council properties) this was repaired then ceiling was replaced and plastered and painted new extractor fan and light were fitted Wessex engineers took into account that I’m on oxygen and were helpful at all times this also included office staff. I cannot thank them enough as does my daughter as it meant she did not have to get to me early in the mornings when work was being carried out.

I thought my smoke alarm was going off and so your company was contacted. Someone else said it was the battery operated carbon monoxide alarm causing the problem. Salisbury Council told me to phone Transco and I thought they would contact you. They did not so your electrician came just as the smoke alarm was being tested. It was found to have a fault so your electrician kindly collected a new carbon monoxide and smoke alarm and came back to fit it that same afternoon. I was so pleased with such prompt service. Was so easy to make an appointment, which the guy arrived at the said time, offered to remove his shoes. We felt comfortable with him in our home, very friendly, enjoyed a cuppa, got on with the job. Would highly recommended them!!

The workman was very polite and considerate. He took time to explain the problem and why it had happened and although it will happen again it was helpful to know. The shower was running really hot all the time. This was due to limescale build up in the shower head and pipes despite the fact we descale it once a week. We are in a very hard water area. Would recommend this company.

Wessex Electrical are the main contractors for the estate I live on. They were called in to install an extractor fan in my kitchen and from end to end operated in a timely and professional manner. From measuring up, ordering the unit and keeping me updated on when they were coming, to finishing the job and doing a proper clean up (there was a fair amount of drilling) when the job was done. They even cleaned up outside and made sure all the drilling core and dust was bagged up and removed from the site They carefully observed all ppe and H&S requirements. All in all they are a competent and professional and give the customer confidence. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who needs Electrical work doing.

Had an amazing technician from Wessex electrical attend a problem with an extractor fan. She was really friendly, kind and helpful and it was obvious she was greatly knowledgeable and skilled. The job entailed having to climb into a cramped loft space which she did enthusiastically and identified the problem. Nothing was too much trouble and she explained well what had been done and what further actions would be needed. Cannot rate highly enough!!

Wessex Electricals were contracted out by my housing association, Sovereigns to carry out electrical inspections of plugs and main electrical sockets as well as check smoke alarms, fuse boxes and outside meters. The man who attended was very friendly and personable and made me feel very comfortable and at ease. He told us very interesting information and told us what he was doing and why. This personable approach was lovely especially as I was unwell at the time of his visit. The reception, customer service team also need a mention for their friendly and helpful staff, even when I had to change some appointments, they treated me like a human being and not just a job. I recently had to have my fuse box moved from up in the eaves to downstairs for safety and easier access. The lovely gents from Wessex Electrical came to do it. They were great. They kept me informed all the time, they were very polite and respectful of my home. Cleaned up any mess and basically did a fantastic job. It wasn't easy to move but they did it without complaining. Would definitely recommend Wessex Electricals, no job is too big or too small.

i'm kind of anxious writing this review as i want to get a comprehensive account of my experience across..i've a long term health condition which also involves likely having aspergers..i find change and break in routine,reading a situation aswell as lack of clarity as to what will happen, difficult to handle. i'd put my appointment for an electrical inspection, off for 2 months such was my level of anxiety around it...i could just handle a front door visit but something involving strangers going into every area of my flat, well this was too much...i became unwell due to this thing at the back of my mind. "i will be evicted", "my flat isn't tidy"..."i'll be under the microscope"..all these thoughts building up. I'd not come into contact with Wessex before, but apprehensive and slightly embarrassed to bring my worries up, i contacted them via phone call, and wished to know more about what would happen in the hope that i could ease my mind...they were nice. patient and supportive, i felt heard and supported through the way that Chelsea and her colleague (i think her name was Emily), fielded my concerns, explained kindly what to expect and worked adaptively around my needs. this helped me meet the next stage, getting ready for the actual appointment. James, the technician, arrived, showed his ID and explained a bit about what he would be undertaking..we had a chat and i felt calmer..a very human side to what was before a looming, impersonal inspectorate!. without wishing to sound lofty..in my mind i assumed this, an electrical inspection, was something prosaic, and hadn't made the connection with the importance of connection..i'd forgotten somehow that companies can be represented through kindness like this ...i was impressed by how he balanced a chat with carying out the checks he wanted to do to a very thorough degree..He carried these out with little fanfare, quietly and efficiently. i gradually felt my worries subsiding..almost not knowing what to do with this....after he'd gone i actually cried a bit...i needn't have worried for 2 months like that. thankyou for your help.

Usually they are good, however after a major flood in my home they were absolutely NOT on the top. They went with the authorities bullying, not giving notifications when they would come or if they cancelled the appointment. Also because they were pushed they put back the electricity despite its still damp everywhere…

Called to maked an appointment, was arranged for a suitable day for PM,1230hrs to 1700hrs. I couldn't get home until 1300hrs, they were happy to be there for that time, and were waiting for me to arrive. The engineer was brilliant. Sorted my repair quickly and cleaned up after himself. Electrician to day was considerate and polite even cleared up after the work was completed I am always impressed by the courteous manner of the their staff

We recently had our heating upgraded via our housing provider. We had some concerns about a full heater being used in the bedrooms due to our sons additional needs. The engineers listened to our concerns & made a call to see what could be done. This was then changed to a smaller panel heater which is much more suitable for our home & living situation. They were both very tidy & fully explained how everything worked. Overall great! Thanks again, Eleanor Andrews

Does what it's supposed to do but not as big as I thought it would be and a 3ft cable for a "security light" I expected longer so I had to order an outdoor connection and it wasn't a Wessex one.... however its OK.

Rude staff when called think they are gods they wish no idea on there services and the work carried out is terrible and to expensive on quality that is done a kid could do a better job go elsewhere is my opinion and advice

Terrible service, engineers that don't know what they're doing and salesmen that don't know anything about their products. I'd heavily advise going somewhere else for storage heaters.

Really good local service available within reasonable notice. Did what they said they would and made sensible suggestions as to further work. No dawdling and reasonable rates. Gary is a particular star - no hesitation in recommending.
