I took my bike in for a service with Urban Bikes and was very impressed with the result. My bike hadn't had any TLC in 3 years and felt unsafe to ride. Now it rides like a dream! The team were very transparent with costs - I intended to book the highest level service but the team felt that the mid-level would be more appropriate for my needs. I was really appreciative of the fact that they took time to tailor the service to my needs and didn't try to charge me extra for what I didn't need. I can't recommend them enough! Thank you!

unfortunately this my experience of hype urban I am providing a full list of the professional malpractice and dishonesty committed by your mechanic, Guy. I have documented 100% proof for every point below and have already initiated a case file with Orange Bikes regarding the state of the Switch 6. Exploitation of Goodwill & The "Storage" Scam: I paid the £180 you requested solely as a goodwill gesture, believing it would obligate Guy to finally complete the suspension so I could ride over the Easter break. The claim that the bike "had been in the shop for a while" is a farce; every time I visited, Guy was working on a different bike while mine sat untouched. Passive-Aggressive Sabotage: Guy agreed to finish the work with no intention of doing so. My suspicions on the drive home were confirmed by his predictable text the next morning. He has intentionally ruined my planned Easter holiday through sheer incompetence and a refusal to follow build specs. Guy, your "games" are transparent. You are done now. Asset Stripping & Systematic Theft: The "hand-back" of my components was an absolute insult. Not a single part returned to me is in its entirety. Everything from the Wolf Tooth Shifter to the OneUp components is missing proprietary screws, clamps, and hardware. Specifically, I provided a pack of 50 anodized purple cable end caps; I received only 30 back. 20 have been stolen. I expect every single bolt, spacer, and cable end returned or paid for in full. Unauthorized Stripping of Property (Headset): Orange has confirmed the frame arrived stripped of the Cane Creek bearings. Guy removed my property without my knowledge or consent. I only discovered this theft by questioning him after the factory flagged it. His "whatever" attitude toward my components has directly caused me a £50 financial loss. Serial Mechanical Sabotage (The Crankset): Guy tried to force the same incompatible Shimano M8100/M8120 crankset into three different bikes: the Orbea, the Switch 6, and the Switch 7. This is a reckless, incompetent disregard for the integrity of my frames. Frame Destruction & Professional Isolation (Switch 6): My March 10th photos prove the Switch 6 BB threads were pristine. Guy’s text admitting he was "doing a lot of work" with a chaser tool is a written confession of sabotage. I was completely excluded from this process. Guy handled the damage entirely by himself, making me feel as if I had nothing to do with my own frame. Other mechanics have confirmed that this is highly irregular; you involve the customer immediately to maintain transparency. Guy did the opposite to ensure I didn't see the cross-threading before he shipped the frame off to hide his mistake under a "warranty" claim. Legal and Regulatory Notice: This matter is now moving into a formal legal phase. I will be raising this case with every available legal entity, including Trading Standards and the Small Claims Court. Guy, you have cost me time, money, and my holiday, and I will be seeking full restitution until I am made whole. I will be at the shop at 11:00 AM Tuesday. I am not there for a discussion. I am there to collect: My Fox Float X2 shock. My Cane Creek bearings and every missing Wolf Tooth/OneUp screw and the 20 stolen purple end caps. The £50 cash equivalent for the blocked refund. A full refund of the £180 "storage" payment and the botched Orbea labor. Martyn

Very professional, helpful and for reasonable price . Guy converted my bike to an e-bike and he absolutely smashed it. I definitely will be backing (hopefully not too soon😅) if needed. Defo recommend this place!

Great service from this shop! came in with an E-Bike that needed parts and they don't take short cuts! they sourced the part straight from the manufacturer. It did take a few weeks but when you're 1K plus into a bike, you tend to appreciate that they care as much as you do for your bike! Top service and amazing staff.

Called Hype up to ask if they had room to fix my bike as I had attempted to fit a part myself and completely bodged it. They got me in on the same day and fixed it with a very good price. Really happy with the service from Guy. He talked me through what I did wrong and said he would call me if he found anything wrong with the bike (he didn't but it's reassuring)! Thank you :)

In June, I bought a pre-loved (second hand) mountain bike from Hype Urban Bikes, on Sefton Street, in Liverpool. A month later, I took it back in for a couple of modifications. I have also taken my wife's bike in for a service. I must say that my wife and I our both very happy with the whole experience. Previously, my wife and I hadn't been out on our bicycles for years. Thanks to the helpful, friendly advice and encouragement, I have a new bike that fits me and I am now out on the road several times each week. After Guy serviced the bike and adjusted the gears, my wife is now also getting out and cycling short trips, instead of using the car. I have given a five star review, because of the five star service. A big shout out to Guy (and also Scott, who has just joined the team), for all the help and great customer service.

Hello everyone, I must admit that the service is at the highest level, I have used several service technicians, but there I received full information with which I went there, I recommend it and I will soon be there again.

My bike had technical problems 2 months after I bought it from the shop I have been to the shop to maintain it a couple of days ago .Obviously the shop doesn’t provide any guarantee for what they sell . In the beginning they asked me to pay 60 pounds. Today they texted me that the price is 120 . I askes them not to fix it . I bought the bike 100 pounds. In the end I paid 15 pounds because of nothing. . The shop is only hassle and waste of time. Be aware

Came across this bike shop afew weeks ago whilst riding around the area and asked them for a couple of new tyres to be fitted. I noticed they serviced aswell so dropped my bike off later on. Picked up my bike and what a difference, its like new. I asked for new brake pads aswell, all cables working perfectly, feels like they have taken their time to do their job. Really nice people aswell. Highly recommended

I was at the Hype Urban Bikes Liverpool shop recently aka HUB, as I had a fault with my Ebike rear wheel section and the guy who helped me with the Fix no Go was Will the mechanic and he was friendly and knowledgeable. I had no appointment booked yet he was quick to put the bike on a bike station stand to get to the route cause of the problem and before you know it I was mobile once again. This is a not for profit community Hub and I would highly recommend to all. Thanks again for the help Will much appreciated indeed.

Visited today to get my bike security stickered/registered, which I recommend everyone does, but on the way a nut fell of my bike. As well getting my bike stickered Will went above and beyond to get the nut sorted which was not straight forward as it was a non standard Dutch thread. Left with a registered and safe bike for the way home.

Couldn't wish for a better bike rental service than this. The location is superb, just 5 minutes away from the docks. The bikes are well-maintained, and we enjoyed riding Trek bikes around Liverpool. Mike gave us a generous discount, and we had the bikes for the entire weekend. Many thanks for your kindness and the excellent service you provide.

Really great service and value. I hired a bike for a long weekend ride, and after discussion got a great hybrid bike with a pannier rack attached, space for water and lights. Perfect for the bike ride, and in perfect condition. Would highly recommend the bike hire service.
