Really happy with the service from AC1 Electricals! I shopped around quite a bit before choosing them, and their phone and email customer service stood out straight away — friendly, helpful, and just gave off the best vibes compared to everyone else I contacted. The onsite engineers were brilliant too. I asked a fair few basic questions and they were patient and informative the whole way through, never made me feel silly for asking. They worked quickly and efficiently and clearly knew what they were doing. Would definitely recommend and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.

Very happy with the rewire of all the sockets in my house carried out by AC1. The electricians who attended were friendly and helped make sense of the work required. Relieved I found this business. I needed an EICR to support the sale of my house, and looking for a reputable company was a challenge in itself. Booking process was easy, appointment was smooth, and received my report the following week. The report recommended works to be done, and provided a quote, so we booked with them again and got my new report the following working day. Extremely disappointing experience. I contacted AC1 Electrical Services Ltd on June 2nd to urgently arrange an EICR for a rental property. Based on their many positive reviews, I expected professional service — but what followed was two full months of constant chasing, unanswered messages, vague replies, and broken promises. The inspection was booked for June 19th, and although the EICR initially failed, I quickly requested a quote for remedial work. I was told it would cost £114 per hour, and despite the high rate, I accepted and paid immediately — as I did with the first invoice. Since then, it’s been a nightmare. I’ve had to chase them at every single stage — for invoices, confirmations, scheduling, and most of all, the updated EICR certificate. Every time I call or message, someone says “we’ll get back to you” or “our supervisor will contact you” — but no one ever follows up. As of September 4th, TWO MONTHS after I first contacted them, I still haven’t received the final certificate, even though everything has been paid for promptly. This delay has caused serious issues with my landlord, and it’s completely unacceptable that something so basic has been dragged out for this long. I regret choosing this company and would not recommend them to anyone who values clear communication, professionalism, or timely service. The job itself may have been fine, but the administration and follow-up were a total failure. Look elsewhere. — Floriane

I hired AC1 for an EICR (Electrical Installation Condition Report) on a residential flat. Their report something needed to be fixed, and proposed I could hire them to fix it, after which they could issue a new report. So far, no issue. However, when I called to ask them exactly what caused the EICR to be unsatisfactory, they did not know and said they would ask the technician who made the report, and would call me back. I called them 3 times, 3 times the same promise. I eventually had to hire someone else to do the entire process again

AC1 Electrical Services Ltd could not do better than Natalie as customers' first point of contact. She is friendly, helpful, efficient. and really understands how to provide good customer care. All questions were answered swiftly. Two electricians carried out the initial inspection of the property and two others carried out the remedial works. I received a prompt and friendly response to my enquiry for an inspection quote. Booking the appointment with Natalie in their office was very straightforward and my time of day request was accommodated. The electrician who attended was friendly and polite and I received my certificate within a few days of the visit. My only negative comment is that the certificate states that not all the sockets were available for inspection when I had gone to a lot of effort beforehand moving furniture etc to ensure that they were. Only one was blocked when the electrician arrived due to lack of space in the room. I told him to check the other sockets in the room and then call me when he was ready to check the blocked one and while he was working elsewhere I would re-arrange the furniture to give him access but he said he didn't need to check all the sockets anyway and indeed I think he only removed one face plate in the whole property. Clarify this before wasting a lot of time moving furniture only to get a negative comment on the certificate anyway.

We had AC1 Electrical around to update our ancient fusebox in our Warner property and I'm happy to report we're legal and safe now! This turned out to be a much bigger job than anticipated due to the unorthodox way our house and adjoining properties had been wired, but their friendly electrician did the job on time and (more importantly!) on budget. They inspected & reported on our electrical installation. They reported 14 'faults' and quoted for the work they said was necessary. 5 of the faults were coded by them as 'potentially dangerous'. Their quote was for £1380. Another company found one actual fault and rectified it for less than £100.

AC1 electrical did an electrical safety report on a rental house. They were professional, responsive and good value compared to some of the other quotes I had received. There was a bit of a delay receiving the actual report after the engineer visited the property which slowed down some admin at my end but it wasn't the end of the world. I would book AC1 again in the future.

Efficient and easy to do business with

AC1 came and did a power, light and socket install to our garden office. This was done very efficiently, on time and within budget. Tony run's a competent team of electricians.

I recently enquired with multiple local electrical companies about an EICR Certificate we required for the purposes of selling our house, and Tony at AC1 Electrical Services contacted me very shortly after I left a message with his office. I explained what we needed (earth bonding to our gas and water pipes, and an EICR certificate) for the purposes of selling our home, and a few days later, one of Tony's colleagues carried out the electrical test, and advised all the work that would be needed to obtain a "satisfactory" EICR certificate we needed. A quote was received by Tony the following day for all the work, and at a very competitive price based on other local quotes we had received. The work was carried out by a colleague later that week (Gary) with no problems or mess. Tony sent me the required satisfactory EICR certificate the following day, without delay. I cannot fault anything from the initial call to AC1 (Natalie was very helpful in relaying any messages I had left for Tony), to the issuing of the EICR certificate. Tony was extremely helpful and knowledgeable on the phone (as were his colleagues that came to visit the house). He even gave me a ballpark cost for the work before anybody came to see the house, which turned out to be very accurate. Everyone knew exactly what we needed, and Gary even advised us of some false information we had been advised by another company for work that needed to be carried out that didn't. All the staff I dealt with along the way were very helpful, efficient and polite, and made the whole process very easy for us.
