Thank you so much for the install of our EV charger. Not an easy job, but found solutions. Can’t praise Paul enough.

'Soulcraft' is a perfect name for the company name Paul Cross uses. He has soul, he has character, he has depth, and an extraordinary amount of equipment I now see today's electrician needs! He sorted out new sockets for us, and new lighting in a low-ceilinged, awkward undercroft (now transformed), and I suspect the ghost of Sherlock Holmes is there to help him fathom the 'interesting' electrical system we have in this 1920s property. He knows his stuff, speaks the truth, take it or leave it, and the job gets done properly, safely, in accordance with the rules (however crazy they seem at times).

Paul installed an extractor fan for us. He arrived promptly at the time arranged and carried out the work efficiently, leaving everything tidy and clean afterwards. All good. Recommended.

We got Paul Cross in to sort out some dodgy bathroom electrics and replace an extractor fan. The new fan had to use the same location but the plasterboard turned out to be crumbly. Paul installed the fan and could have left it at that, but it's a tribute to his professionalism that he was not satisfied and promised to come back for a proper finish. Which he did - and we are very pleased with the elegant solution he came up with. Just as important, Paul is punctual, keeps you informed about appointments, costs, etc., and is tidy. What more could you want?

Paul is a very experienced electrician and creative problem solver. Today he got us out of a spot where we'd taken down a ceiling fitting and snapped the earth cable. Luckily with ingenuity he managed to sort it all out without the upheaval of lifting the upstairs carpet and accessing wiring that way.

We were preparing for Christmas and I was putting up some shelves in the house when I drilled through an electric cable. Sparks flew and the fuse box tripped. It was pretty worrying but I called Paul and he reassured me and came out very quickly. He fully repaired the job, replastered the wall and was just a brilliant person to be in the house. A huge thank you Paul for being so conscientious, kind and accommodating. I thought the price was excellent value for money and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Paul to anyone I know. I called an electrician and needed help asap, because my brand new dishwasher was not working. The electrician said he would call in later that day (on his way home from working elsewhere) to give me a quote. Such a prompt response was a relief. It turns out that the plug for the dishwasher was completely burnt out and had melted. Paul, the electrician, said I would definitely need a new plug but I wanted one that matched all my existing kitchen plugs and I believed that they were no longer available. Paul said he would take the item number and phone around to try and find one. He removed the old plug and did something temporary, so that my dishwasher would work and then he rang around for a new plug. After several calls Paul was able to locate a new matching plug and I asked him if he would order two, so that I would have a spare. This he did on his mobile and arranged to collect them as soon as they were in stock at the electrical warehouse. When Paul went to collect, the items had not arrived for some reason, so Paul returned again to collect and then came back to complete the work of replacing my plug. He knew exactly what needed to be done and wasted no time in finishing the job to my complete satisfaction and my appreciation for going the extra mile to sort it all out for me. Afterwards, he emailed me a fair and very reasonable bill, considering the time he had expended on my behalf. I was always taught that “attitude is everything” and I was really impressed with Paul’s attitude, because nothing was too much trouble and he works in a very efficient manner. So much so, that I have arranged with Paul to fit my new shower in the near future and also to give me a quote for a new Consumer Unit to be fitted.

We hired Paul to rectify a number of issues that were flagged up by a previous electrician when we purchased our first home a couple of years ago.
